The Daily Wire trumpets the actions of Joe Biden to grab people’s guns through newly-enacted “red flag” laws.

President Joe Biden’s Department of Justice announced on Saturday the launch of the National Extreme Risk Protection Order Resource Center — to the surprise of some congressional Republicans.

Attorney General Merrick Garland said in a Saturday press release that the new national resource center “will provide our partners across the country with valuable resources to keep firearms out of the hands of individuals who pose a threat to themselves or others.” Extreme Risk Protection Orders (ERPOs), commonly referred to as “red flag” laws, allow authorities to confiscate firearms from a person whom a court deems to be a risk to himself or others. ERPOs also prevent a person from buying or possessing a gun for the duration of the order.

“The establishment of the Center is the latest example of the Justice Department’s work to use every tool provided by the landmark Bipartisan Safer Communities Act to protect communities from gun violence,” Garland said.

The resource center, which was launched with a new website, is described as “a resource for implementers” that will “provide training and technical assistance to law enforcement officials, prosecutors, attorneys, judges, clinicians, victim service and social service providers, community organizations, and behavioral health professionals responsible for implementing laws designed to keep guns out of the hands of people who pose a threat to themselves or others.”

Harris urges states to pass red flag laws during Parkland visit

Politico outlines the push by Kamala Harris to tie “red flag” laws to events like the 2018 attack by an expelled student on Parkland High.

Vice President Kamala Harris on Saturday announced new gun safety initiatives from Parkland, Florida, after walking through the old Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School building, where 17 people were killed by a gunman in 2018.

The vice president was in the state Saturday to meet with victims’ families and to see the high school, which was preserved as evidence for the shooter’s trial that concluded in late 2022. The building will be demolished this summer.

Harris, who spent hours inside the building on Saturday, walked up to the podium for her remarks as the Parkland families stood behind her holding photos of their late children.

“I will say thank you to the leaders of this community, starting with these families. This school is soon going to be torn down. But the memory of it will never be erased,” Harris said. “And let us through the courage and the call to action of these families find it in ourselves to consider what they’ve been through as some level of motivation and inspiration for all of us.”

The vice president has played a growing role in the administration’s gun safety work and will continue to serve as a leading voice on the issue for the 2024 cycle. President Joe Biden tapped her in the fall to oversee the White House Office of Gun Violence Prevention.

She announced on Saturday the launch of the first-ever National Extreme Risk Protection Order Resource Center, which will support states in the implementation of red flag laws. The center, funded by the Bipartisan Safer Communities Act and run by the Johns Hopkins Center for Gun Violence Solutions, will provide training and technical assistance to states and localities.

Harris also made a plea for states across the country to pass red flag laws, and to use the funding from the 2022 gun safety legislation to implement these programs. Twenty-nine states currently don’t have red flag laws. Of the 21 states that do have these laws, only six are using Bipartisan Safer Communities Act Funding to implement them.

How is Minnesota’s red flag law being enforced?

CBS affiliate WCCO digs into the liberal propaganda supporting the enforcement of Minnesota’s “red flag” laws.

 Minnesota’s “red flag” gun laws went into effect on Jan. 1, and a WCCO Investigation uncovered four cases moving through the courts seeking to remove guns from people who could be a risk to themselves or others.

These legal orders are called extreme risk protection orders.

“The law is fairly clear as it’s written in that we know what we need to prove in court to present these to the judge,” Inspector Elliot Faust, with the Brooklyn Park Police Department, explained to WCCO News. “This order is a tool to try and prevent a tragedy from happening, and we do run into situations where we have information that a tragedy is on the horizon.”

Brooklyn Park’s police chief was the first in Hennepin County to petition the court for a protection order. In a court filing Jan. 11, investigators sought permission to retain possession of a firearm from a man who they said attempted suicide and fired gunshots in his apartment building.

“It’s a multi-family housing building with 200 units,” Faust added. “He’s a risk to himself but he’s also a risk to other people in the building when you fire a gun like that, and there are other people living there.”

The three other cases were from Martin, Steele and Wright counties, with two of three petitions granted, while the third was denied.

Michigan governor signs red flag gun law, questions linger over enforcement

PBS “News” likewise shovels the liberal propaganda (all while acknowledging that this may all get overturned by the courts).

Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer gave final approval Monday afternoon to a red flag law that aims to keep firearms away from those at risk of harming themselves or others as the state grapples with ways to slow gun violence in the wake of its second mass school shooting.

Michigan joined Minnesota as the second state in under a week to implement a red flag law after Democrats in both states won control of both chambers and the governor’s office in November. New Mexico previously was the last state to pass a red flag law in 2020.

Whitmer signed the legislation just outside of Detroit, flanked by state lawmakers and individuals affected by gun violence. Former Arizona Congresswoman Gabby Giffords, who began campaigning for gun safety after she was shot in the head in 2011, was also in attendance.

“We have heard too many times from those who knew a mass shooter who had expressed concern in advance about that mass shooter’s intentions,” Whitmer said Monday. “With extreme risk protection orders, we have a mechanism to step in and save lives.”

This is not just happening in the East: Bill to amend red flag law law heads to New Mexico House floor

NM Political Report pulls out the steam shovel for liberal propaganda in regard to the “red flag” law in consideration in New Mexico.

The House Judiciary Committee passed a bill aimed to amend and improve a law regarding extreme risk protection orders, also known as a red flag law, on a 7-4, party-line vote Monday.

The bill would clarify that law enforcement officers could be the reporting party, according to the bill’s sponsor.

HB 27, sponsored by state Rep. Christine Chandler, would amend the Extreme Risk Order Protection Act, which became law in 2020. Chandler said the amendments are necessary because of some impediments to efficiency and ways the new law could be improved upon.

The original law allows immediate family members to seek an extreme risk of firearm protection petition when there are signs of imminent danger of an individual who owns a firearm of hurting themselves or others. Chandler said that since 2020, the law has been used 75 times.

She said that there are differing interpretations as to whether law enforcement and health professionals can file for a petition. The amendments would clarify that.

“Who is authorized to be a reporting party? There is some disagreement and confusion among those relying on the law if law enforcement could be a reporting party,” Chandler said.

The changes include specifying that the protection order would expire in 365 days; adding licensed healthcare professionals to the list of individuals who can request the order; allowing a petitioner to be anyone with “a continuing personal relationship” to the respondent to request an order; expediting the process; and requiring the respondent to request the return of the firearm and allows law enforcement to destroy, sell or transfer an unclaimed firearm after 365 days.

The Washington Times reports on the weaponizing of the courts by Democrats against President Trump and other political foes of Democrats.

New York Republicans say Attorney General Letitia James’ vendetta against former President Donald Trump is the latest proof that Democrats have turned the state’s courts into a political retribution machine.

They say business owners in New York City and across the state must acquiesce to Democrats’ political agendas and cooperate with the party’s incumbents who control the levers of government.

Mr. Trump has been hit with city and state lawsuits for paying hush money to an adult-film actress in 2016, decades-old sexual assault allegations and business fraud. He did notch a victory Monday when a whopping $464 million bond for the fraud case was slashed to $175 million while he appeals.

“This is a real serious issue. Why would you ever want to do business in New York state? What if they didn’t like the business you’re in?” said Rep. Claudia Tenney, New York Republican.

“Say you’re producing propane for people in upstate New York and they decide they didn’t like you. Are they going to prosecute you and put up a bond that you can’t pay and run you out of business?”

Former Westchester County Executive Rob Astorino, a Republican who ran a failed campaign against Gov. Andrew Cuomo, said businesses want to play it safe and not risk being on the “wrong team.”

“[The Democrats] control all the levers of government. They control the permits and the agencies and all that,” he said. “And unlike some other places where they’ll give to both sides, in New York, they’re afraid to do that.

“I had millions of conversations with high-ranking real estate developers and others in the New York business community — probably all of whom wanted me to win and very few of whom donated because they were afraid,” he said.

Critics say beef producer JBS and the National Rifle Association are examples of organizations put through the legal wringer in New York for political reasons.

First we have the case where the FBI raided a home and opened a gun safe over civil misconduct

The New York Post describes the backlash resulting from Liberty gun safe’s having provided keypad codes to the FBI over a case centering on civil misconduct on 6 January 2021. Notice that the man charged was hunted down in 2023 for a 2021 event that does not include the descriptors “Antifa” or “BLM.” That may give you a clue as to who might be the central conservative.

Calls are mounting for a Bud Light-style boycott of gun safe manufacturer Liberty Safe after it gave the FBI access to an alleged Jan. 6, 2021, rioter’s firearms.

The manufacturer acknowledged the widespread conservative backlash after it complied with a federal warrant that led to the Aug. 30 arrest of an Arkansas man for his alleged involvement in the Capitol riots.

Liberty Safe said it only gave the feds an access code to 34-year-old Nathan Hughes’ gun safe after receiving proof of the warrant.

“Our company’s protocol is to provide access codes to law enforcement if a warrant grants them access to a property,” the company said in a Tuesday statement.

“After receiving the request, we received proof of the valid warrant, and only then did we provide them with an access code.”

Liberty Safe added that it wasn’t aware of any case details when it handed over the code.

Hughes was later charged with felony civil disorder in connection to the siege on the US Capitol.

The backlash against the popular gun-safe manufacturer was fast and furious — with many MAGA supporters and fellow conservatives threatening to return or cancel orders with the company.

“Liberty Safe is an enemy to gun owners,” Charlie Kirk, founder, and CEO of Turning Point USA, wrote on X. “They could have fought the warrant — like Apple did — instead they buckled and bent over. Your guns are not safe with @libertysafeinc Boycott. Ridicule. Ruin their company.”

Others called for a Bud Light-style boycott, referring to the conservative war waged against the beer brand because of its ties to transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney.

The Washington Examiner‘s article on the story also includes a human angle

In the Washington Examiner article on this story, we learn that not only did Biden’s FBI again choose to circumvent the Constitution by not obtaining a warrant to access the gun safe, they did so in such a violent manner as to induce a miscarriage in the accused man’s girlfriend.

The last time I checked, there was no provision in the FBI charter where they got to kill the firstborn (or unborn) child of an accused. However, considering the excesses proven by the Louisiana court on Biden FBI’s actions against the First Amendment, we should expect this sort of thuggery.

Maybe we should change the metal nameplate in front of that Hoover building to read “Fascist-Booted Investigations.”

Next, we have the case of a man convicted and given the harshest prison sentence while not in the city where the riot occurred

The Washington Examiner reports on the situation of Enrique Tarrio, who was not in Washington, D.C. on 6 January 2021 and certainly did not have more influence on getting people motivated on that day than Ray Epps or John Sullivan (neither of whom have been charged).

Henry “Enrique” Tarrioformer national chairman of the Proud Boys, was sentenced Tuesday to 22 years in prison over his role in organizing a large group for the Jan. 6 Capitol riot, the longest sentence of the hundreds handed out so far in connection with the attack.

Tarrio, who was not physically in Washington on Jan. 6, was convicted of a rare seditious conspiracy charge, conspiracy to obstruct an official proceeding, destruction of government property, and three other related charges.

Tarrio was arrested and ordered to leave Washington a couple of days prior to the riot for burning a Black Lives Matter flag and carrying two large-capacity magazines, according to court filings.

U.S. District Judge Timothy Kelly spoke at length about his considerations in calculating Tarrio’s sentence, emphasizing what he said was the seriousness of seditious conspiracy, a charge established during the Civil War.

“Mr. Tarrio was the ultimate leader of that conspiracy. I don’t really think this is super debatable,” Kelly said.

Tarrio was “the ultimate person who organized, who was motivated by a revolutionary zeal,” Kelly said, noting the group Tarrio recruited consisted of about 200 people leading breaches that day.

The court filings stated that on Jan. 6, Tarrio shared messages to his tens of thousands of followers on the social media platform Parler that included instructing those at the Capitol not to leave while it was being overtaken and calling them “revolutionaries.” He also shared a photo of lawmakers hiding in the House chamber, and in the days after the riot, he posted messages that included “I’m not denouncing s***” and “f*** the system” in all capital letters.

Tarrio was convicted in May alongside four co-defendants, three of whom were also found guilty of seditious conspiracy.

Kelly handed out hefty sentences to the four others last week spanning 10 to 18 years, a sign that Tarrio’s sentence would be equally as lengthy.

Tarrio had been scheduled to receive his sentence last Wednesday, before the rest of the co-defendants, but Kelly canceled all of his hearings at the last minute that day. He returned to the courthouse the following day and clarified that he had called out sick. Tarrio’s sentencing hearing was rescheduled to occur last instead of first.

In Biden’s odd response, this Afro-Cuban immigrant has been accused of the worst thing that Dementia Joe can come up with: being a White-supremacist. However, it seems more likely that he just disagrees vehemently with Joe’s socialist-flavor of government. That should not surprise any conservative, since it seems that many considerations have changed within this nation that have moved it toward the USSR of old.

For example, consider these changes to our political environment:

If it has become accepted that the broadcast press can only report the Democrat talking points (and from viewing the ABC, NBC, PBS, and CBS news broadcasts, that seems to be the case), then this is no free republic.

If political opponents (like Ken Paxton and Donald Trump) can be indicted without substantial charges and put through expensive trials, this is not the framers’ America.

If the son of the demented guy in the Oval Office can receive millions from foreign institutions while he holds no marketable skills (and he pays no income taxes on those millions while the investigations on those millions lapses into the sunset), there is no equal protection under the law.

If Latin-mass Catholics or parents who speak out at school board meetings have to fear the FBI, this is no America.

The case where a judge goes below guidelines, gives 10-year term to man who set deadly Lake Street fire during unrest

The Star Tribune tells us how an Antifa member who killed a pawn shop employee by burning down the shop during a BLM riot.

A federal prosecutor told the judge he saw the defendant as a protester, not a rioter, and argued for leniency for a Rochester man who was accused of setting a deadly fire in a Lake Street pawnshop soon after George Floyd’s death.

The 10 years of prison time given to Montez T. Lee Jr., 26, in U.S. District Court in St. Paul last week fell well below federal guidelines and follows his guilty plea to arson in connection with the fire that engulfed the Max It Pawn store in the 2700 block of E. Lake Street on May 28, 2020, three days after Floyd was killed while in police custody in south Minneapolis.

The remains of Oscar Lee Stewart Jr., 30, of Burnsville were recovered from the rubble nearly two months later. An autopsy found that Stewart died of smoke inhalation and excessive burns. He was one of two people who died during the civil unrest in the Twin Cities that followed Floyd’s murder.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Thomas Calhoun-Lopez’s presentence filing said that Lee was in Minneapolis not to loot or destroy property but was “in the streets to protest unlawful police violence against [Black] men, and there is no basis to disbelieve his statement.”

“[There were] many people who felt angry, frustrated and disenfranchised, and who were attempting — in many cases in an unacceptably reckless and dangerous manner — to give voice to those feelings. Mr. Lee appears to be squarely in this … category.”

Yes, I gave you a trick question. However, in response to this situation (ignored by most of the mainstream media where a left-wing judge came to a left-wing murderer and lightened his sentence), what would happen if this were all in a conservative mirror?

Yes, it might be interesting to see the reaction from the Left if someone demonstrably on the Right was let off similarly. And I don’t mean a release of Trump or Paxton from their “free speech” violations. I mean having a demonstrably right-wing person participate in a right-wing real riot (not a walk-fest) and have them burn down a building with a person in it. Would the reaction of the demented Left that has sanctioned the above by their silence be the same? I think not.

The case of a governor’s violation of the Bill of Rights

Newsmax comments on the constitutionality of the executive order by the governor of New Mexico.

Democrats need to take steps to curb violence in their states, perhaps, but they are doing it by taking away constitutional rights of the law-abiding under the guise of public health emergencies, as in the case New Mexico Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham, legal expert Jonathan Turley warned.

Grisham issued an emergency public health order that suspends the open and permitted concealed carry of firearms in Albuquerque for 30 days amid violence, but that will not stand up to legal challenges and will ultimately weaken public emergency powers forever, according to Turley.

“The order, in my view, is flagrantly unconstitutional under existing Second Amendment precedent. It could also be a calculated effort to evade a ruling by making the period of suspension so short,” Turley posted on X, linking to a column on his website, rebuking Grisham’s missteps.

Among other things, Democrats could stop their continual wars on police. They could stop defunding police. They could recognize that redirecting dollars from police departments to Democrat-affiliated companies on parks projects does not build a sense of safety or community.

The case of a group repeatedly stopping U.S. House operations by taking over government property

The Washington Stand outlines two of the most recent times that two LGBTQIA+ groups disrupted business at the Capitol by taking over government property. Oddly, unlike the 6 January 2021 protesters, these anarchists were not charged with sedition, insurrection, or even rioting.

Far-left activists barged into House Speaker Kevin McCarthy’s (R-Calif.) office Monday, linking arms and chanting, “Pass PEPFAR now, McCarthy!” The protest briefly interrupted staffers’ typically quiet Monday morning before Capitol police arrived and arrested seven protestors who refused to leave. The protest appears to be part of a larger media campaign by far-left groups, including abortion groups, to boost PEPFAR.

PEPFAR, or the President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief, is among America’s largest foreign aid programs, aiming to prevent the transmission of HIV/AIDS, primarily to women and children, in impoverished areas of the world. First passed 20 years ago under President Bush, PEPFAR has enjoyed widespread bipartisan support. But pro-life organizations recently raised concerns that the Biden administration is seeking to use the program as a way to promote abortion and have called for additional safeguards. PEPFAR’s five-year funding authorization expires at the end of the month.

Two far-left groups, Housing Works and Health GAP, took credit for the protest in a joint press release, proudly identifying the names and titles of the seven arrestees. Among the arrestees were Asia Russell, executive director of Health GAP, and six employees of Housing Works, including Charles King, CEO, and Matthew Bernardo, president.

Besides their AIDS advocacy, both organizations share a pro-abortion policy stance. Health GAP’s Asia Russell called the Mexico City Policy “cruel and anti-science” in a 2021 article which concluded, “the U.S. must never return to this deadly policy.” Russell was arrested while wearing a t-shirt that said “HIV positive” in rainbow-colored letters.

On June 30, 2022, seven Housing Works staff were among 181 activists bused into D.C. to protest the Supreme Court’s Dobbs decision overturning Roe v. Wade and arrested for attempting to blockade the Supreme Court garage entrance. On May 2, 2022, the homelessness and AIDS organization responded to the leak of a draft opinion for Dobbs by posting, “#Abortion is healthcare, and healthcare is a human right.”

Health GAP advertised the protest on X, formerly known as Twitter, “We’re proud to be with @HealthGAP occupying the D.C. office of @SpeakerMcCarthy.” They declared, “Never in the twenty-year history of @PEPFAR have lawmakers pulled such outrageous stunts. Activists showed up today to demand a 5-year reauthorization of PEPFAR in its current form and full funding for US HIV programs #ProudofPEPFAR.”

Odd that none of these people who stopped two branches of government from work have been charged with insurrection or sent to prison for 22 years

These people were actually in the offices of Speaker of the House McCarthy. Therefore, if we were to follow the example of the sentencing of those who took over the office of Speaker of the House Pelosi, we would need to put them in solitary confinement for several years in D.C. jails before sending them before a biased judge and sentencing them to years in prison.

We need to get on this. Especially since Biden’s FBI thugs are still hunting down his opponents.

Nashville school shooter Audrey Hale: Who is 28-year-old transgender former student who opened fire at school

Fox News said the quiet part out loud when they were the first in my circle of news outlets to divulge that the Nashville school shooter was a woman who took male hormones and female hormone blockers. Additionally, this woman was a former student at the preschool-to-sixth-grade Christian school.

Nashville police identified the shooter who opened fire on Monday morning at The Covenant School as 28-year-old Audrey Hale, a transgender former student at the private Presbyterian school. 

Three children and three adults were murdered in the shooting: Evelyn Dieckhaus, 9, Hallie Scruggs, 9, William Kinney, 9, Cynthia Peak, 61, Katherine Koonce, 60, and Mike Hill, 61.

Nashville police chief John Drake identified Hale as a transgender woman on Monday afternoon, but Hale listed “He/Him” pronouns on a LinkedIn profile.

Hale allegedly shot through a locked door around 10:13 a.m. to gain entry to the school while armed with two assault-style rifles and a handgun, then climbed the stairs to the second floor and opened fire. 

Two Nashville police officers entered the school and went to the sounds of gunfire, where they fatally shot Hale around 10:27 a.m., according to police.

Hale’s home address is about three miles away from the Covenant School, according to public records. The FBI, ATF, and local police cordoned off that home with crime scene tape on Monday afternoon. 

Investigators found a “manifesto” and other writings that they are looking into as they search for a motive.

Nashville school shooting: Biden criticized for joking about ice cream in first statement since attack

Fox News likewise points out how Dementia Joe has been rightfully lampooned for having joked prior to his statement on the Nashville Christian school shooting. Can someone deliver the “senior statesman” that the Democrats promised during the campaign?

President Biden was criticized Monday for his response to the Nashville school shooting after he joked that he only made a public appearance because he heard there would be ice cream before discussing the tragedy that claimed the lives of three adults and three children at an elementary school earlier in the day.

“My name is Joe Biden. I’m Dr. Jill Biden’s husband,” Biden said from the White House’s East Room in his first public appearance since a 28-year-old woman shot and killed three students and three teachers at a Christian private school in Nashville. “I eat Jeni’s ice cream — chocolate chip. I came down because I heard there was chocolate chip ice cream,” he continued. “By the way, I have a whole refrigerator full upstairs,” he added. “You think I’m kidding? I’m not,” Biden told the crowd.

Biden later called the shooting “sick” and “heartbreaking” while demanding Congress do more to “stop the gun violence.” But critics went after the president for the inappropriate reaction and seemingly playful tone while addressing the tragedy.

“To say that he misunderstood the moment would be an understatement,” former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie told Fox News later Monday. “You know, the president is watching, you’d hope before he comes down there, the awful scenes from the shooting and the reactions of family members and friends of people in that school. And to be coming down, joking about the fact that he’s Jill Biden’s husband and looking for chocolate chip ice cream is hardly the way to start it,” Christie said.

“There’s no way to talk about something like this except to say that for all of us who are parents, what we dread every day is the news about the health and life of our children,” he added. “And so there’s no room to joke in that circumstance at all. And certainly not from the President of the United States.”

Authorities say a female shooter wielding two “assault-style” rifles and a pistol killed three students and three adults at The Covenant School, a Presbyterian school for about 200 students from preschool through sixth grade. The shooter was identified as Audrey Elizabeth Hale, a Nashville resident who identified as transgender. Hale died after being shot by police following the violence. Police said she was once a student at the school. 

Biden said he hopes the tragedy will inspire Congress to pass an assault weapons ban similar to the ban he helped pass in 1994. That law enacted a 10-year ban on the manufacture, transfer or possession of “semiautomatic assault weapons” and “large capacity ammunition feeding devices.” It formally expired on Sept. 13, 2004. 

Christie said the president committed the “second-worst thing to do” in a circumstance like this one by invoking the political card while parents and students across the country grapple with the impact of the horrific shooting.

“It’s not about playing politics,” Christie told Fox News host Martha MacCallum on “The Story.” “The second-worst thing to do after making a joke on a day like today is to play politics with it. Unfortunately, that’s exactly what the president did. He went back to the old playbook.”

FBI won’t say if it has arrested anyone over attacks on churches and pro-life organizations

The Daily Signal draws our attention to how the Federal Bureau of Investigation doesn’t seem to be forthcoming with information on how it is not protecting churches and pro-life organizations.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation will not share whether it has made any arrests related to attacks on pro-life centers, organizations, and Catholic churches following the leak of the Supreme Court opinion overturning Roe v. Wade.

At least 83 Catholic churches and 73 pregnancy resource centers or pro-life organizations have been attacked since the draft opinion was leaked in May. And some of these pro-life centers and organizations have told The Daily Signal that they have not heard anything from federal authorities.

The FBI confirmed this week to The Daily Signal that it is investigating “a series of attacks and threats targeting pregnancy resource centers, faith-based organizations, and reproductive health clinics across the country, as well as to judicial buildings, including the U.S. Supreme Court.”

“The incidents are being investigated as potential acts of domestic violent extremism, FACE Act [Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances Act] violations, or violent crime matters, depending on the facts of each case,” the statement said. “The FBI takes all violence and threats of violence very seriously and we are working closely with our law enforcement partners at the national, state, and local levels to investigate these incidents.”

This statement is almost identical to one that the FBI gave The Daily Wire in mid-June, four months ago, as attacks on pregnancy centers escalated. The militant abortion group Jane’s Revenge has claimed responsibility for many of these attacks and threatened more if pro-life work does not cease. The FBI would not specifically comment on Jane’s Revenge to The Daily Wire in June, and it is unclear how organized this group is.

“It’s open season, and we know where your operations are,” Jane’s Revenge warned over the summer.

When The Daily Signal pressed the FBI for more information this week, referencing the recent arrest of a Catholic, pro-life activist, national press officer Christina Pullen repeatedly said the FBI does “not have any information to add” to its old statement. She also would not say whether the FBI has made any arrests related to these attacks and threats.

The Daily Caller pointed out how Biden’s DHS had prioritized gender ideology over common sense and expertise. Has the same occurred with Biden’s handling of the Nashville shooting?

President Joe Biden’s Department of Homeland Security (DHS) introduced various measures to accommodate transgender and nonbinary individuals in its security processes as migrants continued to pour through the southern border.

The DHS Equity Action Plan calls binary gender a “construct” and strives to remove gender from the screening processes used in airports, border security and citizenship and naturalization processes.

Meanwhile, Border Patrol saw around 41,000 migrants cross the southern border in March alone. National Border Patrol Council President Brandon Judd told lawmakers that migrants from countries all over the world, including nations with terrorism ties, were coming over the border and that agents had apprehended 34 individuals with names matching those on the terrorist watch list.

Under the new plan, the Transportation Security Administration’s (TSA) PreCheck program will allow transgender passengers to self-identify their gender without providing medical documentation and will expand gender-identification options beyond the male-female binary to expand access to LGBT people, the document says.

If anyone can identify an accomplishment of a Biden regime transgender staff or other member (other than their being the “first genderfluid …” or “first transgender …”), please let me know.

Indianapolis, Indiana NBC affiliate WHTR reports that a good guy with a gun put down the perpetrator of a mass shooting (where three or more people were shot and killed in a single event).

At 5:57:03 p.m., Elisjsha Dicken, an armed bystander, fired on the shooter from 40 yards away, according to police. Within 15 seconds from when the shooting began, Dicken fired 10 rounds hitting the shooter as the shooter tried to retreat into the bathroom but collapsed and died.

The Washington Post conveys the story of a Sultan, Washington woman who was forced to defend herself and her son after her husband was stabbed.

Age is nothing but a number.

An 80-year-old woman in the small town of Sultan, Wash., proved that Thursday night when she shot and killed an intruder who broke into her home.

At the moment, details are thin.

A man from Gold Bar, Wash. — a town of about 2,000 — broke into the woman’s home around 8:30 p.m. Thursday while she was enjoying an evening with her husband, 75, and son, 45. According to a Komo News report, police said the man broke in through the back door. After hearing a noise, the woman walked into the back room, where the 25-year-old intruder stood, wielding a large knife.

Her husband was on the ground.

The intruder had stabbed her husband in the abdomen, felling but not killing him. Before calling 911, the woman took matters into her own hands, according to the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office. She snuck in the back bedroom, presumably unnoticed, where she grabbed a gun she hides there.

She returned to the main room, took aim and fired several shots into the intruder, killing him.

She and her son managed to escape without any injuries, authorities said. Her husband was airlifted to the Harborview Regional Medical Center.

“I know I did the right thing:” Customer shoots and kills armed robber at gas station

Saint Louis, Missouri NBC affiliate KSDK tells us how a customer stepped in to stop an armed robber holding a knife to the clerk’s neck.

Most people would try to run away from a robbery situation, but one customer felt called to run toward it.  

His courageous effort ended in a deadly shooting, which possibly saved more lives than the one lost.

“Taking somebody’s life is not an everyday thing, neither is saving someone’s life,” the customer, who wished to remain anonymous said. 

Those thoughts now consume his mind after not only witnessing an armed robbery Saturday morning at a St. Charles QuikTrip but also stepping in to stop it.

“He grabbed a backpack and ran inside, looking for I guess the clerk. I saw him grab her and drag her to the front to the counter, something wasn’t right when I saw that, so me being concealed carry, I had my gun on me and I just waited,” the customer said. 

The customer saw it all unfold from his car, parked in front of the QT on First Capitol Drive.

 “I walked up to the door and I saw him with a knife to her throat. She was emptying out the cash register and I took a step in and peeked my head in to ask if everything was okay. I couldn’t see his face but he was saying yes, but I could see her face she was saying no, she was scared,” he said.

Police named the robbery suspect 26-year-old Lance Bush from St. Louis City. “I pulled my gun up and I asked him are you sure everything’s okay and that’s when the suspect said ‘no it’s not okay, but I got something for you and he grabbed his bag, ran from around the counter and started running towards me and that’s when I fired shots,” the customer said.

He recalls shooting four times before Bush fell to the floor. Shortly after he told the clerk to call the police, he did as well. 

“I don’t think I honestly had a choice. He already had a knife at her throat, he could’ve pulled out something bigger than what I had then you would’ve had two people dead instead of one,” he said.

Purchase of rifle allegedly used in Highland Park massacre highlights limits of Illinois gun laws

The liberal leaning Chicago Tribune goes out of its way to explain why red flag laws failed again in stopping a very disturbed Robert Crimo.

A day after a gunman fired 70 rounds into a crowd at the Highland Park Independence Day parade, concerns and questions began to emerge about the availability of high-capacity firepower in Illinois, including whether existing rules and laws around background checks are enough to protect the public.

New details about the purchase of the firearm allegedly used came as authorities formally charged Robert Crimo III with seven counts of murder in the mass shooting.

Authorities said Crimo legally purchased the high-powered rifle he allegedly used to shoot more than three dozen people, including seven who were killed. And he did so even after a threatening episode was reported to Highland Park police, who in turn notified Illinois State Police, and after authorities had been alerted to him being suicidal.

It appeared that existing law — including the state’s so-called red flag law — wasn’t used to take weapons away from Crimo, long before he allegedly perched atop a roof along the parade route and opened fire. And current laws did nothing to head off his purchase of weapons, even in politically blue Illinois.

Illinois State Police on Tuesday confirmed they had received a warning from Highland Park police about Crimo three months before he successfully applied for a firearm owner’s identification card with the help of his father. Illinois State Police administer that process.

When asked if ISP reviewed the “Clear and Present Danger” report from Highland Park police when considering Crimo’s subsequent FOID application, a state police spokesperson responded: “At the time the FOID application was submitted, there was not a clear and present danger.”

The rifle was one of five firearms Crimo had purchased, authorities said. The rifle he allegedly used Monday, along with a second one, was purchased in the Chicago area, law enforcement authorities said, without naming a gun shop.

Law enforcement took knives, dagger, and sword from accused Highland Park shooter’s home during 2019

Forbes further reveals the failure of the “red flag” laws that became evident even before the shooting showed their uselessness.

Sgt. Christopher Covelli of the Lake County Major Crimes Task Force said during a press conference law enforcement had two prior contacts with Crimo: One took place after learning Crimo had attempted suicide in April 2019, and another occurred five months later, when a family member reported Crimo said he was going to “kill everyone” and had a collection of knives.

Officers visited Crimo’s residence in September 2019 and removed 16 knives, a dagger and a sword, but there was “no probable cause for arrest” and no complaints were signed by the witnesses, according to Covelli.

Either police and reporters can or can’t discern motive (not both)

Further into the Forbes article, either the police or the Forbes reporter speculated that Crimo wore women’s clothing to hide his distinctive tattoos. However, even later in the the article, the reporter suggests that no motive can be assigned to the actions of Robert Crimo.

Unless the people at Forbes have a pro-transsexual bias, it would seem that either they could discern motives or they could not — not both.

Crimo wore women’s clothes to exit the area

In the following Newsmax interview of Oklahoma Representative Markwayne Mullin, we are told:

  • In a state with many gun laws, Robert Crimo bought his gun legally
  • Highland Park has a ban on assault weapons (however, it is unclear whether one was used)
  • Crimo posted violent videos to Facebook, but those did not cause him to lose his guns
    • (Although not mentioned in this video, Crimo’s violent videos did not get banned from YouTube, Instagram, or Facebook until after the shootings, according to The Verge)
  • Chicago and the neighboring areas had a strong “defund the police” movement
  • Robert Crimo was found to have exited the area dressed in women’s clothes and tried to blend in with the crowd
  • In unrelated, routine Chicago-area gun violence, eighty people were injured over the July 4th weekend and seven people died; however, because Chicago remains a liberal enclave, nobody cares

The New York Post provided an early snapshot into the social media history of Robert Crimo.

The “person of interest” arrested in the deadly mass shooting at a Fourth of July parade outside Chicago on Monday has been identified as a 22-year-old local amateur rapper with a history of disturbing online posts.

Robert E. “Bobby” Crimo III, who performs as “Awake the Rapper,” was taken into custody Monday shortly after FBI agents visited his family’s home in Highwood, Ill., about a mile from the scene of the shooting in Highland Park, WGN-TV ­reported.

An IMDb page under Crimo’s name identifies him as a “rapper, singer, songwriter, actor and director” from the Chicago area. The page boasts one of his songs released in 2018 amassed “millions of plays.”

“The hip hop phenom is mostly known for his hit song ‘On My Mind’ which was released on Oct. 8, 2018. The track has amassed millions of plays so far across online streaming platforms,” boasts one user-written bio on the page.

Crimo began uploading music when he was 11, according to the IMDb page. The page claims his net worth is $100,000.

“The six foot Hip hop phenom Awake The Rapper was born Robert Eugene Crimo III on September 20, 2000 in Chicago, Il,” according to the page. “He’s the middle child of three and of Italian descent.”

Crimo had posted a video to his since-deleted YouTube page that included a drawing of someone who appeared to have been shot dead by police, screenshots posted online indicated.

Attorneys who won Supreme Court gun case were forced to quit their law firm

The Daily Wire reported on the odd reception the law firm gave the attorneys who successfully argued in front of the Supreme Court.

The lawyers who won a major Second Amendment case before the U.S. Supreme Court this week got even less than a pat on the back from the white-shoe law firm they work for – they were forced to quit.

Paul Clement and Erin Murphy, the lawyers who successfully argued against New York’s law restricting conceal-carry gun permits, were told by Kirkland & Ellis they had to stop representing Second Amendment plaintiffs or find another firm. In a Wall Street Journal article, the duo explained how their celebration was cut short.

“Having just secured a landmark decision vindicating our clients’ constitutional Second Amendment rights in New York State Rifle & Pistol Association v. Bruen, we were presented with a stark choice—withdraw from representing them or withdraw from the firm,” they wrote. “There was only one choice: We couldn’t abandon our clients simply because their positions are unpopular in some circles.”

Forbes reported how Biden might forgive student load debt, but leaves out the way this will fuel more inflation.

Warren and Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY), who both have championed up to $50,000 of student loan forgiveness, are still pushing Biden to cancel that amount of student loan debt for millions of student loan borrowers. Civic and social organizations have joined in the fight to encourage Biden to consider a higher amount of student loan cancellation. According to the latest student loan debt statistics, there are 45 million student loan borrowers who collectively owe $1.7 trillion of student loan debt.
Therefore, canceling $50,000 of student loans would cancel all federal student loan debt for the vast majority of student loan borrowers. In contrast, the U.S. Department of Education has said $50,000 of student loan forgiveness would eliminate all federal student loan debt for 36 million student loan borrowers.

Student loan forgiveness: key benefits of $50,000 of student loan cancellation

According to researchers from Princeton and the University of California, who conducted this analysis, there are multiple other benefits of higher amounts of wide-scale student loan forgiveness. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • $50,000 of student loan forgiveness would help 95% of student loan borrowers who are in student loan default or student loan delinquency;
  • More student loan cancellation overwhelmingly benefits lower-wealth student loan borrowers because wealthier individuals rarely borrow or pay off student loan debt faster; and
  • Canceling $50,000 of student loans will reduce disparities and inequalities substantially.

When it comes to student loan forgiveness, the authors argue that more student loan cancellation is better for advancing equity and economic security. Opponents of student loan forgiveness beg to differ, citing the potential cost of $1 trillion to cancel $50,000 of student loans for borrowers. They also note that potentially millions of student loan borrowers could be excluded from Biden’s student loan forgiveness.

From the beginning of the Uvalde shooting, events of the timeline kept changing

Houston CBS affiliate KHOU illustrates how the story kept changing in order to protect two endangered species: the small-town Democrat and the truth.

Official details of the Uvalde school shooting that killed 19 students and two teachers have changed several times.

We went back through official press conferences to hear what facts were given out over the last 10 days.

Uvalde CISD Police Chief Pete Arredondo gave this brief statement following the shooting on Tuesday, May 24:

“At approximately 11:32 this morning there was a mass casualty incident at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas”

Later that day, school officials were still not giving any details.

“This is a tragic even in our community. We are very sorry that we cannot provide more information,” said Uvalde CISD Executive Director of Communications and Marketing Anne Marie Espinoza.

The following day, on Wednesday, Gov. Greg Abbott and Texas DPS provided more details, which the governor later said he was misled about, of what happened at the school the day before.

“It is a fact because of their quick response getting on the scene being able to respond to the gunman and eliminate the gunman they were able to save lives,” said Gov.Abbott on Wednesday, May 25.

“As the Governor mentioned earlier, there was a brave Consolidated Independent School District resource officer that approached him, engaged him and at that time gunfire was not exchanged but the subject was able to make it into the school,” said Texas DPS Director/Colonel Steven McCraw that day.

“When the shooting began we had Uvalde police officers arrive on scene and along with the Consolidated Independent School District officers immediately breached – because we know as an officer every second’s a life,” McCraw continued that day.

The next day, Thursday, May 26, the story started to change, according to officials.

“I want to clear up… that came out early on. It was reported that a school district police officer confronted the suspect that was making entry… not accurate. He walked in unobstructed initially,” said Victor Escalon, the Regional Director for DPS South Texas, in a press conference.

On Friday, May 27, DPS told us how the shooter got into the school…

“Suspect vehicle crashes into the ditch – as previously described the teacher runs to the room 132 to retrieve a phone and that same teacher walks back to the EXIT door and the door remains propped open,” said McCraw.

And the initial story about the response to the shooting drastically changed surrounding how quickly police were able to stop the shooter after he entered the school at 11:33 AM.

“As soon as they were there they executed a search – or at least a dynamic entry and went in and of course that was not until 12… 12:57,” McCraw said on May 27.

“From the benefit of hindsight where I’m sitting right now of course it was not the right decision. It was the wrong decision. Period.” McCraw went on to say.

The same day Gov. Abbott responded…

“The information I was given turned out to be in part inaccurate, and I’m absolutely livid about that,” he said.

Senator Pat Toomey (R-PA) said Sunday on CBS’s “Face the Nation” that he hoped at least half of his Republican colleagues in the Senate would vote for the gun package he was currently negotiating.

After- seven days after he publicly endorsed a Federal Assault Weapons Ban and limits on high capacity magazines. This is what he had to say.

REP. CHRIS JACOBS ON TAPE: We have a problem in our country, in terms of both our major parties. If you stray from a party position, you are annihilated. For the Republicans, it came- it became pretty apparent to me over the last week that that issue is gun control. Any gun control.

BRENNAN: Well, excuse me, I’m sorry, my voice. The President himself has campaigned on this idea that he can be a deal breaker- broker. Does he need to get involved? Or does the involvement of the president lessen the chances of success here?

TOOMEY: Yeah, the problem is I think the President might have been a president who would reach across the aisle try to bring people together. But he’s chosen not to take that approach. Since day one, he has sided with the far left of his party and really not reached out to Republicans. He gave a speech on this topic where he advocated policies that he knows for sure have no chance of passing the Senate probably couldn’t even get 50 votes, and hold the Democrats much less get the 60 we would need. So once again, the President is not being very helpful. I think at the end of the day, this is going to come down to whether we can reach a consensus in the United States Senate. There are intensive discussions underway. It includes people who have not been engaged on this issue in the past. I can’t certainly can’t guarantee any outcome. But it feels to me like we are closer than we’ve been since I’ve been in the Senate.

BRENNAN: So you can get four other Republicans to stand with you, the six who are negotiating?

Biden’s open-border policy overwhelms shelters in Maine

The Epoch Times reports on the effect of Biden’s open-border policy on even far-from-the-Southern-border Maine.

Facing an impending humanitarian crisis, Portland Family Shelters Director Mike Guthrie has a simple message to anyone who will listen, “We need help!”

Guthrie, a hands-on, frontline worker in the effort to feed, clothes, and house a continuous flow of foreign nationals arriving in Portland by airplane or bus from the U.S. southern border, told The Epoch Times, “Our family shelter facilities, our warming room, and even area hotel space is at capacity. We have maxed out our community resources.

“The time is coming when I’m going to have to look a dad in the face and tell him and his family that I don’t know where they’re going to sleep tonight.”

The Portland Family Shelter is a complex of four rented buildings in various states of renovation located in the heart of downtown.

Some of the structures are gradually being converted into small apartments where up to four families will share a single kitchen and bathroom.

All four buildings are overflowing their present capacity.

“The intake is greater and faster than we can process,” Guthrie said.

To accommodate the stream of new arrivals, the family shelter program has in recent months placed 309 families (1,091 people) in eight hotels located in five neighboring municipalities spread over three counties of southeastern Maine’s prime tourist and vacation region.

Those moves, with their attendant complications and problems, have resulted in some pushback from the local Mainers who fear their prized relaxed lifestyle may never be the same.

And they resent not having a voice in any of it.

“It’s just part of the state government’s plan to bring the slums to the suburbs,” said a Mainer from the resort and tourist community of Kennebunkport, a small town about 28 miles down the Atlantic coast from Portland.

“The United States cannot rescue Africa.”

Coming out of the Kennebunkport post office, long-time Mainers Virginia and Robert shared their opinions on what the locals see as the “invasion” of Maine by immigrants.

Virginia commented, “We have sympathy for the asylum seekers, but resources are over-extended and now it’s going beyond Portland.”

“Eventually, it’s going to impact our quality of life,” Robert said.

Pressures on Portland’s homeless shelter capacity last year inspired a York County community action group to obtain a federal grant to help house the city’s regular homeless population.

If Biden implements his system of slavery to the state, then these would likely be the neediest

As long as college students imagine themselves as being the recipients of governmental largesse, those college students tend to support socialism. However, I have never participated in a class (as either a student or instructor) where A, B, and C-grade students volunteered to give away grade points to failing students who had skipped assignments or tests.

Something tells me that formerly socialist-leaning students who might find themselves working only for other peoples’ benefit might consider the slavery of socialism differently.

Nonetheless, while Biden holds power, it seems he remains all too willing to make us slaves of the Democrats in charge.

As Biden continues to pander to the climate change crowd, voters say gasoline prices and inflation will drive their vote

The Daily Mail spells out the mood of voters as the mid-term elections approach.

Voters say that economic issues are their top priority heading into the 2022 midterm elections as only 37 percent say they approve of how President Joe Biden is handling economic recovery – and even less approve of gas prices and inflation.

A whopping 83 percent of Americans say that the economy is either an extremely or very important issue in determining how they will vote, according to an ABC News/Ipsos poll published on Sunday.

But Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg assured ABC News in a Sunday morning interview that inflation is Biden’s ‘top economic priority,’ despite record-setting hikes and record-low approval.

‘I’m sure additional ideas will be welcomed,’ Buttigieg said on the continued effort to improve the economy.

When it comes to inflation, only 28 percent of Americans approve of Biden’s handling of the issue compared to the 71 percent who disapprove.

A string of radio spots published by Left-Wing Democrat groups and funded by Soros proves they don’t know why they are losing Hispanics

The Washington Examiner explores the purchase of a string of radio spots by Soros-funded Democrats as they continue to lose support among Hispanics.

A George Soros-backed group of predominantly Hispanic investors has purchased 18 Spanish-language radio stations in 10 cities for $60 million.

The Latino Media Network is led by Obama administration official Stephanie Valencia and received financing from Lakestar Finance LLC, an investment firm associated with liberal billionaire George Soros.

“We believe in the power and reach of radio and it remains a main source of media for a significant number of our community,” Jess Morales Rocketto, a veteran of Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaigns, said in a statement. “We hope to create relevant content for radio and other audio platforms with content that our community can trust and rely on.”

One of the stations included in the deal is Radio Mambi, a conservative talk radio station in Miami, Florida, that Democrats have long accused of spreading “misinformation” in the Hispanic community.

“In the 2020 election, we saw this — really a compelling rightward shift among the Latino electorate and in South Florida,” Huffington Post reporter Lautaro Grinspan recently told NPR. “And it lends credence to the notion that Spanish-language misinformation is playing a role in shaping folks’ political perceptions.”

But is “misinformation” really to blame for the recent rightward drift of Hispanics? Or are more and more Hispanics realizing that the Democratic Party simply doesn’t share their values.

“Everybody was a liberal Democrat — in my neighborhood, in the Bronx, in the local government,” Florida Republican Erik Ortiz recently told the New York Times . “The welfare state was bad for our people — the state became the father in the black and brown household and that was a bad, bad mistake.”

Ortiz is right: The social safety net designed by the Democratic Party punishes marriage and replaces fathers with checks and social workers. And President Biden’s Build Back Better agenda would only make those marriage penalties worse .

No wonder recent polling shows the Republican Party now even with the Democrats among Hispanic voters.

Just as no sitting president and no member of Congress had to sit for hours waiting for medical treatment or give up half of a month’s pay for said treatment when it fell outside of an insurance company’s guideline — none of them will have to endure gas prices or food prices that they have foisted on us.

As soon as humanly possible, we must remove all those who have imposed this system where gas price hikes and inflation has become a mainstay.

House Republicans announce a push against Liz Cheney’s and Nancy Pelosi’s narrative

The Epoch Times reports on the supposed resistance to be provided by the House Republicans.

Rep. Elise Stefanik (R-N.Y.) said that House Republicans would be “pushing back” against the Jan. 6 Committee in an effort to tell the American people how the committee’s efforts have been “unconstitutional and illegitimate.”

She said Republicans would be countering the messaging from the panel investigating the Jan. 6, 2021, breach of the U.S. Capitol amid a series of nine primetime public hearings over the next few weeks, starting with one on June 9 at 8 p.m. Washington time.

During the hearings, the panel will “present previously unseen material documenting January 6th, receive witness testimony, preview additional hearings, and provide the American people a summary of its findings about the coordinated, multi-step effort to overturn the results of the 2020 presidential election and prevent the transfer of power,” the committee said in a statement.

“We’re working very closely with President [Donald] Trump and his team, with [Republican] Leader Kevin McCarthy, with [Rep.] Jim Jordan, and really all of the House Republicans, we’ll be pushing back in a rapid response fashion,” Stefanik told Breitbart News.

“You will see us all over the airwaves, we’ll be setting the record straight, we’ll be telling the truth to the American people, sharing the facts, and also really pointing out how unprecedented and unconstitutional and illegitimate this committee is,” she said.

“We have lots of media bookings already set. I know that many of our members are going to shine in this moment. But similar to impeachment sham one, and really, impeachment sham two, just out there, every single day,” she said, equating the Jan. 6 panel to previous Democratic-led efforts to impeach former President Donald Trump on two separate occasions, which both resulted in Trump being acquitted.

After the Uvalde attack, Biden prioritizes gun confiscation and then DeSantis pushes for school safety

The administration of Florida Governor Ron DeSantis is prioritizing school safety in the wake of national tragedies and the left’s anti-Second Amendment push.

Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) on Thursday signed the state’s “Freedom First Budget,” which includes an increase in funding for school safety and mental health initiatives. Both are significant, as a plurality of voters blame mental health issues for mass shootings, while far-left Democrats continue to focus on guns.

“If you look at our budget … we had another major increase in funding for school safety and for mental health and, you know, when you’re talking about school security, the thing is, is for whatever reason —  I think going back to Columbine — this has become something where these deranged psychopaths have certain targets and some of them go to schools as a way to kind of maximize the trauma to a community,” DeSantis said during Friday’s press conference.

Taking the power of self-protection from law-abiding citizens does not solve anything

However, only guarding the gates does not solve the entire problem

From Columbine to Sandy Hook to Parkland to Santa Fe and now at Uvalde, the shootings (or, especially in reference to Harris and Klebold, the killings — since their attack included poorly-wired bombs in the cafeteria and their cars) were perpetrated by:

  • Boys in the bloom of testosterone
  • Boys who had been taught that, in opposition to the second law of thermodynamics (where things go from order to disorder), human evolution went from disorder to order (from slime to a baby). (In other words, they were taught to abandon their logic, embrace the liberal talking point labelled “science,” and repeat the mantra of evolution in order to pass a class.)
  • Boys who had been taught that there was no God (or at least that God had been kicked out of school)
  • Boys who had experienced numerous brushes with the law only to be let go by the system or bailed out by their parent(s)
  • Boys who had been taught that life had no meaning (since a baby was nothing but a choice for a girl)

Therefore, to follow Biden’s suggestion and to remove every law abiding citizen’s guns will not really effect these future murderers: we already have laws against murder and that does not stop them. As noted previously, gun laws in Chicago, New York, Philadelphia, Mexico, Brazil, Columbia, and Venezuela don’t really have much affect.

However, since the attacks come from students of the schools, rather than doing more to protect the schools from without, maybe we should protect them from within. Maybe we should seek to change the minds of the students. Maybe we might look to the wisdom of our founding fathers who observed our system of self government and noted:

Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other.

Although I am not suggesting outlawing of non-Christian religions, I am suggesting that more freedom and power be pushed down to the local levels. Further, I am suggesting that God be returned to the classrooms (with parental consent).

 

Biden breaks his “Never-Trump” rule


Biden proposes banning bump stocks already banned under Trump

Breitbart reports the list of items Biden and other little dictators in the Democrat party want to ban in the wake of the shooting in Texas.

Democrats are preparing a large gun control package to be considered in House Judiciary Committee on Thursday.

The package, dubbed, “Protecting Our Kids,” includes eight bills designed to erode citizens’ Second Amendment rights.

Reportedly included in the massive gun control package are provisions to ban high-capacity magazines, increase the purchase age of semi-automatics from 18 to 21, ban bump stocks for civilian use while requiring existing bump stocks to be registered with the government, change the definition of “ghost guns” so they fall under background checks at point of sale, increase penalties for gun trafficking, and mandate how Americans store firearms in their homes.

According to Punchbowl News, the bill’s names and sponsors are:

  1. The Raise the Age Act (H.R. 3015, Rep. Anthony Brown of Maryland)
  2. Prevent Gun Trafficking Act (H.R. 2280, Rep. Robin Kelly of Illinois)
  3. The Untraceable Firearms Act (H.R. 3088, Rep. David Cicilline of Rhode Island)
  4. Ethan’s Law (H.R. 748, Rep. Rosa DeLauro of Connecticut)b
  5. The Safe Guns, Safe Kids Act (H.R. 6370, Rep. Elissa Slotkin of Michigan)
  6. The Kimberly Vaughan Firearm Safe Storage Act (H.R. 130, Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee of Texas)
  7. Closing the Bump Stock Loophole Act (H.R. 5427, Rep. Dina Titus of Nevada)

It seems likely the Democrats in the House may have enough votes to pass the package. A vote will reportedly be held next week on the litany of bills. If the package narrowly passes the House, it will move to the Senate, where it must survive a 60-vote, filibuster-proof threshold to pass the deliberative body.

Last week, Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-KY) instructed Sen. John Cornyn (R-KY) to work with Democrats on gun control measures. “I’ve encouraged him to talk to Sen. Sinema, Sen. Murphy and others who are interested in trying to get an outcome that’s directly related to the problem. I am hopeful that we could come up with a bipartisan solution that’s directly related to the facts of this awful massacre,” McConnell stated, referring to the deadly shooting at Robb elementary school in Uvalde, TX, last week.

Problem is that Trump and the Republicans already banned bump stocks

If we hijack Jen Psaki’s “way-back machine” and look at a report by NBC News filed on 18 December 2018, we will find that President Trump banned bump stocks in 2018.

The Justice Department on Tuesday issued its final rule banning bump stocks — a device that was prominently used in the Las Vegas shooting massacre last year, which allows a semi-automatic rifle to work like a machine gun.

Acting Attorney General Matt Whitaker announced the rule in a statement Tuesday.

“We are faithfully following President Trump’s leadership by making clear that bump stocks, which turn semiautomatics into machine guns, are illegal, and we will continue to take illegal guns off of our streets,” Whitaker said.

Later, at a school safety event at the White House, he called it a “big victory” for Trump’s administration.

Breitbart reported the predictable left-wing reaction to the Uvalde shooting where people with paid protection called for restrictions on your right of self-protection.

Hollywood celebrities wasted little time capitalizing on the school shooting in Uvalde, Texas, on Tuesday, urging voters and lawmakers to support more gun control while also blaming the shooting on Republicans and other supporters of Second Amendment rights.

Celebrities including Alyssa Milano, Rob Reiner, Elizabeth Banks, Bette Midler, Piper Perabo, and Stephen King all took advantage of the incident as a way to push familiar Democratic refrains.

“Fuck the GOP and their obsession with guns,” Milano tweeted.

“When you step into the voting booth this fall, VOTE GUN CONTROL,” King wrote.

“Lawmakers must act to restrict gun ownership in sensible ways. Action. Laws,” Perabo urged.

As Breitbart News reported, a shooter left 19 students and two adults dead at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas, on Tuesday. Authorities identified the shooter as Salvador Ramos, an 18-year-old male who resided in Uvalde. They said Ramos is now dead and is believed to have been killed by responding officers.

“Texans across the state are grieving for the victims of this senseless crime and for the community of Uvalde,” Gov. Gregg Abbott (R) said in a statement. “Cecilia and I mourn this horrific loss and we urge all Texans to come together to show our unwavering support to all who are suffering.”

Hollywood stars instead took advantage of the incident to score political points.

Actress Alyssa Milano blamed the shooting on Republicans, as did actor-director Rob Reiner.
