News that shows the Biden regime cannot quit from fail mode

The Biden regime launches an “Environmental Justice” office

The Washington Free Beacon reveals the Biden regime’s launch of its “Environmental Justice” office.

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency on Saturday launched a new office that will be focused on the needs of minority communities overburdened by pollution and oversee the delivery of $3 billion in environmental justice grants created by the recent passage of new climate legislation.

EPA Administrator Michael Regan announced the creation of the Office of Environmental Justice and External Civil Rights, which will be staffed by 200 EPA employees and led by a not-yet-announced Senate-confirmed assistant administrator.

He launched the new office at an event in Warren County, North Carolina, which was the site of protests 40 years ago that is regarded as the birthplace of the environmental justice movement.

“With the launch of a new national program office, we are embedding environmental justice and civil rights into the DNA of EPA and ensuring that people who’ve struggled to have their concerns addressed see action to solve the problems they’ve been facing for generations,” Regan said in a statement.

It was the latest move by the Biden administration to prioritize environmental justice in its policymaking. The Justice Department in May announced the launch of a new office to help low-income areas and communities of color battle the disproportionate impact of air and water pollution.

President Joe Biden has often cited protecting poor and minority communities from industrial pollution as a top priority and has pledged that 40% of federal clean energy investments will be channeled to the cause.

If Joe cannot get his eyes onto the real target (the economy), he always has the press to cover for him

It seems that, if bumbling Joe cannot do anything to improve the economy (or at least take steps toward doing that), he only has the main stream press to cover for him. Hopefully the alternative press will be able to pull back the curtain (as it has with these articles and the ones that find their ways into conservative blogs like Bunkerville, Not of this World, and others).

News that obviously untrustworthy due to the history of lies within Facebook

Meta says it disables the Russian and Chinese propaganda permeating Facebook

The Los Angeles Times blindly parrots the claims by Meta (formerly Facebook) as it claims to clean up its act prior to the 2022 mid-term elections.

A sprawling disinformation network originating in Russia sought to use hundreds of fake social media accounts and dozens of sham news websites to spread the Kremlin’s talking points about the invasion of Ukraine, Facebook parent company Meta said Tuesday.

The company, which also owns Instagram, said it identified and disabled the operation before it was able to gain a large audience. Nonetheless, Facebook said it was the largest and most complex Russian propaganda effort that it has found since the invasion began in February.

The operation involved more than 60 websites created to mimic legitimate news sites including the Guardian newspaper in Britain and Germany’s Der Spiegel. Instead of the actual news reported by those outlets, the fake sites contained links to Russian propaganda and disinformation about Ukraine. More than 1,600 fake Facebook accounts were used to spread the propaganda to audiences in Germany, Italy, France, Britain and Ukraine.

The findings highlighted both the promise of social media companies to police their sites and the peril that disinformation continues to pose.

“Video: False Staging in Bucha Revealed!” claimed one of the fake news stories, which blamed Ukraine for the slaughter of hundreds of Ukrainians in a town occupied by the Russians.

The fake social media accounts were then used to spread links to the fake news stories and other pro-Russian posts and videos on Facebook and Instagram, as well as platforms including Telegram and Twitter. The network was active throughout the summer.

“On a few occasions, the operation’s content was amplified by the official Facebook pages of Russian embassies in Europe and Asia,” said David Agranovich, Meta’s director of threat disruption. “I think this is probably the largest and most complex Russian-origin operation that we’ve disrupted since the beginning of the war in Ukraine earlier this year.”

The network’s activities were first noticed by investigative reporters in Germany. When Meta began its investigation, it found that many of the fake accounts had already been removed by Facebook’s automated systems. Thousands of people were following the network’s Facebook pages when they were deactivated earlier this year.

Researchers at Meta Platforms, which is based in Menlo Park, also exposed a much smaller network that originated in China and attempted to spread divisive political content in the U.S.

As many times as Facebook has lied, worked against us, and worked for the communists, this deserves a second and third consideration before giving them slack.

News that reveals the deception inherent to Facebook

Facebook spied on private messages of Americans who questioned the 2020 election

The New York Post tells how Facebook dug into private messages that centered on rejection of the 2020 election.

Facebook has been spying on the private messages and data of American users and reporting them to the FBI if they express anti-government or anti-authority sentiments — or question the 2020 election — according to sources within the Department of Justice.

Under the FBI collaboration operation, somebody at Facebook red-flagged these supposedly subversive private messages over the past 19 months and transmitted them in redacted form to the domestic terrorism operational unit at FBI headquarters in Washington, DC, without a subpoena.

“It was done outside the legal process and without probable cause,” alleged one of the sources, who spoke on condition of anonymity.

“Facebook provides the FBI with private conversations which are protected by the First Amendment without any subpoena.”

These private messages then have been farmed out as “leads” to FBI field offices around the country, which subsequently requested subpoenas from the partner US Attorney’s Office in their district to officially obtain the private conversations that Facebook already had shown them.

But when the targeted Facebook users were investigated by agents in a local FBI field office, sometimes using covert surveillance techniques, nothing criminal or violent turned up.

News that would show how easily the Biden actions would be to overturn

New lawsuit challenges the legality of Biden’s student loan forgiveness plan

Reason.com reports on a lawsuit filed against the Biden student loan forgiveness plan.

President Joe Biden’s plan to forgive hundreds of billions of dollars in student loan debt violates both federal law and the Constitution, according to a just-filed lawsuit from the Pacific Legal Foundation (PLF), a libertarian law firm.

“This isn’t how laws are supposed to be made,” Caleb Kruckenberg, an attorney for PLF, tells Reason. “Only Congress has the power to pass laws and spend money under the Constitution. The administration’s actions here are flagrantly illegal.”

This is the first serious challenge to Biden’s student loan forgiveness plan, which he announced last month. The lawsuit’s plaintiff is Frank Garrison, who’s also an attorney at PLF. Garrison borrowed federal student loans to pay for law school, but according to him, Biden’s debt forgiveness plan will actually subject him to a financial penalty in the form of a state tax. This gives him standing to sue the U.S. Education Department, his lawsuit argues.

“Despite the staggering scope of this regulatory action, it was taken with breathtaking informality and opacity,” the lawsuit claims. “In the rush, the administration has created new problems for borrowers in at least six states that tax loan cancellation as income.”

With this lawsuit being filed on 27 September 2022, I hope it will work in time

News that shows the naked partisanship within Biden

Biden calls Florida mayors but not DeSantis as Hurricane Ian nears

The New York Post points out how Biden called Democrat mayors in Florida but refused to call (my original wording due to the original story early in the evening of 27 September) held off a call to Governor DeSantis as Hurricane Ian approaches.

President Biden called three Florida mayors Tuesday as Hurricane Ian nears Florida’s western coast — hours before reaching out to Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis, with whom he has clashed on issues such as COVID-19 policies and migration.

As the devastating Category 3 storm approached, Biden first spoke with Tampa Mayor Jane Castor, St. Petersburg Mayor Ken Welch and Clearwater Mayor Frank Hibbard. Castor and Welch are Democrats, while Hibbard is a Republican.

The president waited until Tuesday night to phone DeSantis.

The two discussed “the steps the Federal government is taking to help Florida prepare for Hurricane Ian,” said White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre. “The President and the Governor committed to continued close coordination.”

DeSantis is a potential 2024 Republican presidential candidate and has frequently criticized Biden’s performance.

White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said at her regular press briefing that Biden “held separate calls” with the mayors and “discussed planning and preparation for Hurricane Ian.”

Biden “underscored his commitment to the people of Florida and made clear that impacted communities will have the full support of the federal government to augment state and local emergency response efforts,” Jean-Pierre added.

Deanne Criswell, administrator of the Federal Emergency Management Agency, joined Biden for his calls with the mayors and Criswell said Biden delegated to her the responsibility of liaising with DeSantis on Friday.

“The president directed me to contact the governor early on before we even did the declaration. I did that,” she said. “My regional administrator is with the governor right now making sure that we’re understanding what the needs are and our focus is on the current life safety needs.”

News that shows the dictatorial tendencies of Joe Biden when he uses executive orders more than Trump

Biden-era Democrats learn to love emergency powers after hating them under Trump

The Washington Examiner lays out a case for the over-use of executive orders by Joe Biden.

A sizable group of Democratic politicians have pressured President Joe Biden to declare national emergencies on the climate and abortion rights in recent weeks, but nearly 80 of those lawmakers attacked his predecessor’s use of emergency powers.

Former President Donald Trump declared a national emergency at the southern border in February 2019 as a means of bypassing Congress and securing funding for the completion of his campaign-promised border wall. The move was heartily opposed by Democrats at the time as an abuse of executive power.

“The President’s unlawful declaration over a crisis that does not exist does great violence to our Constitution and makes America less safe, stealing from urgently needed defense funds for the security of our military and our nation,” House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) and then-Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) said in a joint statement at the time. “This is plainly a power grab by a disappointed President, who has gone outside the bounds of the law to try to get what he failed to achieve in the constitutional legislative process.”

Even Trump’s final White House chief of staff, Mark Meadows , then a North Carolina Republican congressman and the chairman of the House Freedom Caucus , suggested Trump’s border emergency was a “slippery slope” and predicted “the potential for national emergencies being used for every single thing that we face in the future where we can’t reach an agreement.”

The House passed a bill in late February 2019 seeking to block Trump’s declaration, as outlined in the National Emergencies Act of 1976, but the measure eventually died in the Senate. Biden ended the border emergency in February 2021, shortly after entering office. A year and a half later, he is facing pressure from Democrats to invoke similar emergency powers on abortion and climate.

Eighty-three members of the Congressional Progressive Caucus sent a letter to the president and Health and Human Services Secretary Xavier Becerra on July 12, urging him to declare an emergency in response to “the Supreme Court’s radical and dangerous decision in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization.

Sixty-eight of the letter’s signatories voted to overturn Trump’s border emergency back in 2019, and only two of the lawmakers who did not vote yes were sitting members of Congress at the time. Reps. Peter DeFazio (D-OR) and Steve Cohen (D-TN) both abstained from voting.

The White House is weighing declaring a public health emergency to shield doctors, pharmacies, and other healthcare providers who offer access to abortion pills in states with stringent abortion bans, but officials are reportedly concerned about the prospects that Republicans would attempt to file lawsuits over any such declared emergencies. Biden himself said he was open to reevaluating the idea during a meeting with state governors who took action to protect abortion access following the Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization ruling.

Similarly, Sens. Cory Booker (D-NJ), Martin Heinrich (D-NM), Jeff Merkley (D-OR), Ed Markey (D-MA), Alex Padilla (D-CA), Bernie Sanders (I-VT), Brian Schatz (D-HI), Elizabeth Warren (D-MA), and Sheldon Whitehouse (D-RI) all called on Biden to declare climate change a national emergency this past week.

Odd how things change

Trump used the executive order to advance the wall and secure the border. Although the press loves to overlook the murders perpetrated by illegals and the damage done by border crossers (like the 2,200 deaths, 118,000 rapes, and 138,000 assaults recorded).

Now Biden wants to allow abortion (a.k.a. baby murder) up until birth in all 50 states under his (devoutly Catholic) watch.

Biden’s social media defunds another company

Why has PayPal cancelled the Free Speech Union?

Britain’s Spectator allows an op-ed commentary on PayPal’s cancelation of the account of the Free Speech Union.

I thought one of the benefits of being cancelled – I lost five positions in quick succession at the beginning of 2018 – is that it immunises you from being cancelled again. After all, what more dirt could be thrown at me? The offence archaeologists did such a thorough job four years ago, sifting through everything I’d said or written dating back to 1987, that there was nothing left to dig up. But it turns out that was naive. Last week I got cancelled again.

The instrument of my downfall was PayPal, the technology company that supports online money transfers and operates as a payment processor for online businesses, auction sites and so on. At around 2 p.m. last Thursday I received an email from PayPal informing me that the company was ‘initiating closure’ of my personal account because I was ‘in violation’ of its ‘Acceptable Use Policy’. I looked up that policy and it covers a multitude of sins, but no clue was offered as to which one I’d committed. ‘If you have money in your PayPal balance, we’ll hold it for up to 180 days,’ it said. That was a bit annoying because I have over £600 in the account, but it wasn’t the end of the world. I mainly use it for receiving payments from European magazines I write for occasionally.

Then it got serious. Within a few minutes of contacting me, PayPal sent the same message to the Daily Sceptic, the news publishing website I’ve been running for two-and-a-half years, and the Free Speech Union, the organisation I set up in 2020 to defend people threatened with cancellation. In both cases, PayPal was shutting down the accounts for the same reason – breaching the Acceptable Use Policy. No further details. To give you a sense of how serious this is, about a quarter of the Daily Sceptic’s donor revenue is processed by PayPal and about a third of the Free Speech Union’s 9,500 members pay their dues via PayPal.

‘So what?’ you might think. Just email all those people and advise them to use a different payment processor. I’ll do that, obviously, but it’s inevitable that some won’t bother – some of them won’t even open the emails – and the resulting loss of revenue will be hugely disruptive. The Daily Sceptic has four people on the payroll and the Free Speech Union has 15 and they both operate on tight margins. I was relying on PayPal to deliver the service it promised to perform when I first signed up and which I’ve been paying for until now (1.5 per cent commission on every transaction). I had no idea it could just whisk the rug out from under you, with no notice and without having to provide any proper explanation. In my case, the excuse offered was obviously bogus. How could all three accounts be guilty of ‘violating’ the same policy within minutes of each other?

From this, we know that this struggle has a global nature

This does not exist as a struggle between Democrats and Republicans. More possibly, it might consist of a struggle between socialists and freedom-minded people. It might also remain as a fight between the big-government people and the individualists.

Democrats “charity” voter-registration scheme

The Wall Street Journal shares an Op-Ed that points toward a nefarious bent within Democrat circles.

Senate Democrats plan to pass the Disclose Act, a bill they claim would force “dark money” groups into the light. Never mind the darkness that envelops their own epic voter-registration scam.

A New York Times article this week confirmed a political reality that Republicans have been slow to publicize: Democrats are openly abusing charities to stack voter rolls in their favor. The Times story was ostensibly about “voter registration” groups worried that donors weren’t giving enough to “democracy-related” programs this midterm cycle. Read closely and you notice the story is entirely about Democrats, confirming a longstanding scheme by which foundations and private donors funnel tax-exempt dollars into “charities” that microtarget and register Democratic voters.

Biden’s FBI goes full Gestapo against pro-life speaker

FBI raids home of Catholic pro-life speaker and author with guns drawn as his terrified kids watch

Lifesitenews reports that a Catholic speaker was raided by the FBI with guns drawn in front of the speaker’s children.

A well-known pro-life author, sidewalk counselor, and father of seven was the latest victim of a U.S. Department of Justice-sponsored SWAT raid and arrest — for supposed “FACE Act” violations — at his rural home as his children looked on “screaming.”

Mark Houck is the founder and president of The King’s Men, which promotes healing for victims of pornography addiction and promotes Christian virtues among men in the United States and Europe.

According to his wife Ryan-Marie, who spoke with LifeSiteNews, he also drives two hours south to Philadelphia every Wednesday to sidewalk counsel for six to eight hours at two different abortion centers.

Ryan-Marie, who is a homeschooling mother, described how the SWAT team of 25 to 30 FBI agents swarmed their property with around 15 vehicles at 7:05 a.m. this morning. Having quickly surrounded the house with rifles in firing position, “they started pounding on the door and yelling for us to open it.”

Before opening the door, she explained, her husband tried to calm them, saying, “‘Please, I’m going to open the door, but, please, my children are in the home. I have seven babies in the house.’ But they just kept pounding and screaming,” she said.

When he opened the door, “they had big, huge rifles pointed at Mark and pointed at me and kind of pointed throughout the house,” Ryan-Marie described.

When they came in, they ordered the kids to stay upstairs. “Our staircase is open, so [the kids] were all at the top of the stairs which faces the front door, and I was on the stairs as well, coming down.”

“The kids were all just screaming. It was all just very scary and traumatic,” she explained.

After asking them why they were at the house, the agents said they were there to arrest Mark. When Ryan-Marie asked for their warrant, “they said that they were going to take him whether they had a warrant or not.”

An admission by a member of the press on media bias

A liberal reporter claims Republicans shouldn’t have a say on any issue

Townhall comments on the words of a CNN news reader who said the quiet part of silencing Republicans out loud.

Poynter senior media writer Tom Jones is fretting over CNN’s makeover of distancing itself from being an extreme left-leading outlet.

Titled “CNN ‘hewing toward the center’ is not necessarily good for our democracy,” Jones fret that the network’s attempt of being less polarizing could be dangerous to the country.

Jones also claimed that “the other side shouldn’t be given a voice” on certain topics, especially when it comes to former President Trump.

His piece bashed a recent story in the Chicago Tribune which touched on CNN’s move to becoming less polarizing amid its new CEO Chris Licht stepping in.

The Chicago paper boldly stated that most issues have two sides, however when it comes “to the antics of former President Donald Trump,” the Right shouldn’t be allowed to report on it.

“Here’s the problem: All Americans aren’t reasonable enough or willing to accept what’s true… and it isn’t just a small minority of those who aren’t willing to accept things such as the 2020 presidential election, the authenticity of our elections and other bedrocks of our democracy. For the editorial board to wrap up the issue by briefly mentioning the ‘antics of former President Donald Trump’ seems overly dismissive and not nearly as comprehensive of what’s truly at stake here,” Jones said.

“Perhaps it’s Pollyannaish to hope that CNN can retrofit itself in a country where each political side believes the other is living in a kind of dangerous alternate reality,” according to the Tribune.

This shouts “Don’t trust Democrats in the press” as loud as anything

That is, this is the loudest shout from the Democrat press to ignore them since they tried to bury the Hunter laptop.

Democrat media outlets now deny previous “fact checks”

The Washington Post botches a fact-check to cover for Democrats’ abortion extremism

The Washington Examiner exposes the poor job done in “fact checking” done by liberal outlets like the Washington Post who now have lowered their standards to the level where they deny having previously “fact checked” for Democrats.

So often, the “fact-checking” industry in the establishment media serves as an organ of the Democratic Party.

Even then, the Washington Post may have made it a bit too obvious.

Glenn Kessler of the Washington Post decided to fact-check claims by Republicans that Democrats support abortion “until the moment of birth,” citing comments from both Florida Sen. Marco Rubio and Arizona Senate candidate Blake Masters, who used that phrase. It’s not a particularly difficult fact to check, given that Democrats do support keeping abortion legal at any point in pregnancy and frequently decline or refuse to name a single abortion restriction they would ever support.

But Kessler decided instead to fact-check a claim that was never made.

Kessler says that the “GOP attacks are disingenuous at best” because “they imply that late-term abortions are common.” He then proceeds to “fact check” how many late-term abortions are performed in the United States. In his verdict, Kessler concludes, “The campaign rhetoric suggests such late-term abortions happen frequently. The truth is that they do not.”

But again, this is the claim he was supposedly “fact-checking.” Kessler fabricated a strawman claim to give him an article that is more favorable to Democrats. He knows that Democrats oppose all abortion restrictions — everyone knows it because they keep saying so — and their stance is out-of-touch with most people’s views on the issue. So he decided to make the issue about the frequency of late-term abortions, which he concludes is at least 10,000 per year.

Speaking of which, that 10,000-a-year number also gives the lie to the claim that late-term abortion is “extremely rare.” It is much more common, for example, than deaths from AR-15s or other so-called “assault weapons.” All rifles combined, AR-15s included, accounted for only 364 gun homicides in 2019. (There were 10,258 total gun homicides in 2019, which is almost as many late-term abortions as Kessler decided are “extremely rare.”)

According to the Washington Post’s own police shooting database, there have been 7,768 people shot and killed by police since 2015. That hasn’t stopped the Democrats and their allies in the media from claiming that it is an epidemic. The Black Lives Matter movement is given national reverence by liberals, including Kessler’s paper, even though only 1,689 of those victims were black and, of that group, only 144 in the last eight years were unarmed. So police misconduct and shootings with so-called “assault weapons” are both considerably rarer than late-term abortions, which Kessler declared “extremely rare” at 10,000 per year.

Would Kessler ever claim that Democrats are out of line on gun control or police shootings? Of course, he wouldn’t. Today’s Democratic Party is essentially a political arm of the legacy media corporations.

(Read at Washington Examiner how this type of bias would not be tolerated against the left)

If the main stream press does not want to be seen as just an arm of the Democrat party, why do this?

Why make abortion the focus when the real story is a failing president? Then why pull the focus from abortion when Democrats’ radical stance becomes so evident?

More news that the main stream media doesn’t tell: promotion of LGBTQ+ agenda items

Hilliard City School District promotes an “LGBTQ+ resource guide” with instructions on sex work and abortions

The Washington Free Beacon provides a case where liberals provided minors with information on getting abortions and working in the sex industry (sounds like multiple counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor to me).

Teachers in an Ohio school district are wearing name badges that students can scan with their phones to access an “LGBTQ+ resource guide,” which includes instructions on how to get abortions and “organize like a sex worker.”

Hilliard City School District participates in the National Education Association’s “I’m Here” program, which encourages teachers to wear the badge. The group says the program is supposed to educate teachers on how to respond to LGBT students. But a Washington Free Beacon review found that the QR code takes students to resources that describe abortion as the removal of “pregnancy tissue,” encourage gender transitioning without parental consent, and promote sex work.

Public schools around the country are coming under fire for teaching age-inappropriate lessons to students. Parents in Idaho, for example, caught the state government this month offering “porn literacy” to students. A parent sued a Maine school district for offering books with “sexually graphic material, including descriptions of queer sex,” the Free Beacon reported in July.

The teachers’ badges have sparked outrage among parents in Hilliard City, ABC 6 reported earlier this month.

“The badge has a QR code that once scanned takes you to a website that has extremely inappropriate information, and as a parent that crosses the line,” Hilliard City parent Lisa Chaffee said.

Hilliard City superintendent Dave Stewart said the badges only concern “adult learning,” though the website from the QR code provides resources aimed at K-12 students. After backlash from parents, the district advised teachers to cover the QR code on the back of the badge, according to a statement from Stewart.

One link from the online guide encourages children to seek LGBT resources without their parents’ approval.

(Read at the Washington Free Beacon about the links concerning protections in Texas for LGBT issues)

So, what holds a more important place in your heart than children? With that answered, why doesn’t the press report on this?

If the press really wants to grab our attention, why not show how the LGBTQ+ community has targeted our children through liberal teachers?

Few media outlets report on an attack against Republican volunteers

Two Republicans are attacked as they volunteer for Texas Governor Greg Abbott

Mediaite tells us how two volunteers for Texas Governor Greg Abbott were attacked in Humble (north of Houston).

Two volunteers for Texas Governor Greg Abbott’s re-election campaign were attacked by a man near Houston, local officials told Fox News.

While door-knocking in Humble, Texas, the two volunteers were chased and attacked by a man who ripped the side view mirrors off their car, Abbott’s campaign said in a statement. He was reportedly arrested and charged with criminal mischief.

According to the campaign:

Yesterday, two Texans for Greg Abbott volunteers were assaulted by a man in the Humble while they were knocking on doors. The man chased the volunteers through a neighborhood, tried to drag them out of their car, and punched both side view mirrors off of the vehicle. The volunteers called police, who responded to the scene. After identifying the suspect, and finding pieces of the vehicle in his trash can, Harris County authorities took the suspect into custody and charged him with criminal mischief.

“Political violence is never acceptable,” Mark Miner, the communications director for Abbott’s campaign, said in a statement. “With just over a month until Election Day, the passion to win should never bubble over into something more dangerous. There is no place for this in Texas.”

Although the left always whines the most about our being able to protect ourselves, it has been the violent left that has hurt and killed

It has been the Left’s “bail reform” that has let felons onto the streets.

It was a loony Bernie supporter that shot Steve Scalise. It was a Democrat who ran over and killed a Republican teen.

However, we don’t know this (since this is not the focus of the media).

A media giant hides the story of a Republican teen being killed by a Democrat who held political grudges

CBS hides the alleged political motive behind a hit-and-run of Republican

Breitbart lays out the facts when CBS tries to obscure those inconvenient facts.

CBS News, a far-left propaganda outlet that spreads lies and conspiracy theories, is deliberately deceiving its readers about the reported motive behind the hit-and-run murder of an 18-year-old North Dakota man.

In the immediate wake of His Fraudulency Joe Biden declaring 65 million Trump supporters threats to America, 41-year-old Shannon Brandt deliberately ran down teenager Cayler Ellingson over a “political argument,” according to police reports. Police add that on the 911 call, Brandt accused the teenager of being “part of a Republican extremist group and [Brandt claimed] that he was afraid they were ‘coming to get him.’”

According to Ellingson’s mother, her son called her that night and asked if she knew who Brandt was. She did. Ellingson’s mother says her son called back later and said “he” or “they” were chasing him. After that, she wasn’t able to reach her son.

What makes this story a story is the alleged political motive, is the police reporting that this young man was run down for no other sin than being a Republican.

Because CBS finds that information inconvenient to the false narrative that only Trump supporters are violent threats to democracy, CBS chose to deceive its readers by not revealing the reported motive, which, per the police, was stated by the alleged murderer.

“North Dakota driver charged with fatally striking teenager says he purposely hit the teen after a political argument,” reads the CBS headline. Oh, okay … Please tell me more, CBS News. But wouldn’t you know it, nowhere does the story mention that the alleged murderer believed his victim was a dangerous Republican and a threat to him.

If this were a felon being held down by a cop

If, instead of a White Republican teen run over and killed by a Democrat who got out on bail within a week, a Black felon had been killed by a cop — would there be riots? Seems to me there were.

Seems to me that I not only watched Democrats riot for two years over that, I also saw:

  • A presidential candidate and his running mate contribute to the bail of felon rioters
  • Promises from Democrats that the riots would continue until they won
  • Televised ads this past weekend showing a female relative of the Black felon who died (where she said so much more needed to be done)

Since we are sinners, more needs to be done. All of us have a self-centered nature and look out for ourselves. Therefore, there will always be a need to help others. However, why is it always liberals that seem to ignore half of the equation?

A liberal company and its subsidiary uses financial discrimination to suppress dissention against radical gay agenda

“Gays Against Groomers” organization banned from PayPal and Venmo

Florida Voice reported on the discrimination against “Gays Against Groomers” by PayPal and its subsidiary Venmo.

The organization Gays Against Groomers announced they are banned from making any transactions with large payment processors PayPal and Venmo.

Gays Against Groomers is a coalition of gay people created to stop the sexualization and abuse of young children. They were recently seen outside of a meeting with a digital billboard displaying anti-grooming messaging at a Miami-Dade County school board meeting.

The Miami-Dade School Board voted 8-1 against the H-11 action which would recognize October as ‘LGBTQ+ History Month.’ The proposal was rejected because parents believed it conflicted with the state’s Parental Rights in Education bill, which Gays Against Groomers also were not in favor of, saying it was parents’ right to decide whether to teach their children about gay and lesbian rights rather than teachers in public schools.

“We are an organization that consists entirely of gay people whose only mission is to safeguard children from abuse,” they say. “Woke homophobia is real.”

Moms for Liberty had a similar altercation with PayPal, having its funds frozen by the payment processing corporation. In August, DeSantis helped play a role in influencing the company to unfreeze their funds.

Liberals pushing false narratives again (remember the Russian collusion hoax)

A TikTok influencer tells how a Democrat group offered to pay him $400 to push a false narrative

The Federalist outlines a case where a TikTok influencer was approached with an offer to push a false narrative.

A left-wing nonprofit focused on “fighting disinformation” allegedly offered a TikTok influencer $400 to spread lies about Republican involvement in the Jan. 6 U.S. Capitol riot.

Preston Moore, a lawyer with a large following on TikTok, told his followers in a video on his account that he was approached by the Good Information Foundation to make an “anti-Donald Trump propaganda post related to the January 6 investigation that is completely not true.”

After Preston said he was interested in collaborating, the foundation reportedly told him what to include in his post, including “images and scenes from the January 6th insurrection” and talking points like “the violence on January 6 was actually planned and paid for by Trump Republicans.” Specifically, the foundation told Preston he could say that the “Trump campaign paid literally millions of dollars to make January 6 happen” and that many Trump officials and Republican members of Congress were involved.

Other examples of “key messaging” Preston says the foundation highlighted for him to include was that “there is an ongoing threat of political violence or MAGA Republicans trying to overturn elections,” and that he should try to channel the anger of his followers to make them, as he summarized, “more likely to vote in the midterms.”

When Moore responded to the email by asking, “What is the basis for the claim that the Trump campaign itself paid millions of dollars to make the January 6 siege of the Capitol happen?” he says the foundation refused to answer his question.

“We know of only one person who blew the whistle, but God only knows how many people are taking them up on this,” Scott Walter, president of Capital Research Center, told The Federalist. “Just how many TikTokers are they doing this with? How many Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook accounts are they targeting? How much money have they allocated? Because $400 is total chump change for these guys.”

Based on this, how much information can you trust from TikTok?

Then again, if I got my news from the source of the Tide pod challenge, maybe trust isn’t the central issue. Maybe I’m not really looking for information, but entertainment.

Again, a social media giant limits the conversation by removing a group

TikTok bans CatholicVote after they flag videos on LGBTQ agenda for kids

CatholicVote shows the hypocrisy of TikTok in their removal of CatholicVote.

The Big Tech video platform banned CatholicVote “for ‘hateful behavior’ after it posted videos calling attention to sexualized LGBT-themed children’s books and drag shows intended for kids,” reported Caroline Downey at the National Review:

While the platform has flagged the organization’s content in the past, today it was formally locked out from its account, Joshua Mercer, communications director for CatholicVote.org, told National Review.

TikTok had previously restricted the CatholicVote account on two occasions.

In one video, CatholicVote intern Ethan Potter read passages of the “Pride”-themed book “Rick,” about a ten-year-old boy learning about sex and “gender identities” from an LGBTQ after-school program.

In the other case, CatholicVote posted a clip from a local news report about a drag event in Texas, where children were filmed interacting with an obscene performer. A woman who protested the event tells reporters in the video that she opposes drag events in general, but would not be getting involved if it weren’t for the children being exposed to it. “It’s kids now,” she says.

“It started with drag queen story hour, now it’s children’s books about sex and 10-year-olds throwing cash at grown men,” CatholicVote’s caption stated.

In both instances, TikTok claimed the posts were in “violation” of the platform’s “hateful behavior” policy. “We do not tolerate content that attacks or incites violence against an individual or a group of individuals on the basis of protected attributes,” read a notification sent to CatholicVote. “We do not allow content that includes hate speech, and we remove it from our platform. We also suspend or ban accounts that have multiple hate speech violations.”

Here, TikTok seems to show its CCP credentials

By eliminating the voice of CatholicVote, TikTok shows its origins with the Chinese Communist Party (CCP).

Does this refer to the inclusion of conservative ideas or actual misinformation?

A report suggests that TikTok search results are riddled with misinformation

Detroit News mentions a report suggesting that TikTok searches result in multiple instances of misinformation.

TikTok may be the platform of choice for catchy videos, but anyone using it to learn about COVID-19, climate change or Russia’s invasion of Ukraine is likely to encounter misleading information, according to a research report published Wednesday.

Researchers at NewsGuard searched for content about prominent news topics on TikTok and say they found that nearly 1 in 5 of the videos automatically suggested by the platform contained misinformation.

Searches for information about “mRNA vaccine,” for instance, yielded five videos (out of the first 10) that contained misinformation, including baseless claims that the COVID-19 vaccine causes “permanent damage in children’s critical organs.”

Researchers looking for information about abortion, the 2020 election, the Jan. 6 insurrection at the U.S. Capitol, climate change or Russia’s invasion of Ukraine on TikTok found similarly misleading videos scattered among more accurate clips.

The amount of misinformation — and the ease with which it can be found — is especially troubling given TikTok’s popularity with young people, according to Steven Brill, founder of NewsGuard, a firm that monitors misinformation.

TikTok is the second most popular domain in the world, according to online performance and security company Cloudflare, exceeded only by Google.

Brill questioned whether ByteDance, the Chinese company that owns TikTok, is doing enough to stop misinformation or whether it deliberately allows misinformation to proliferate as a way to sow confusion in the U.S. and other Western democracies.

“It’s either incompetence or it’s something worse,” Brill told The Associated Press.

TikTok released a statement in response to NewsGuard’s report noting that its community guidelines prohibit harmful misinformation and that it works to promote authoritative content about important topics like COVID-19.

“We do not allow harmful misinformation, including medical misinformation, and we will remove it from the platform,” the company said.

Does this surprise anyone?

When the left (the source of the Russian collusion hoax, the golden showers hoax, and numerous other lies broadcast as fact for years) controls a media, they include lies. When the left (those who ignored the Hunter Biden laptop, Joe Biden’s Council on Foreign Relations “Well, son-of-a-bitch” admission on getting a prosecutor fired who was investigating his family, and many other oversights) controls the media, they sweep many things that would damn them under the rug.

We know who commands the American Gestapo, but who remains in the Vichy Republicans?

The American Gestapo

After a judge orders the DOJ to respond to the Trump raid, A.G. Garland claims to seek to open the warrant and Rep. Gabbard calls this an abuse of power

The Christian Broadcasting Network reports how a judge has ordered the Department of “Justice” to respond on the Trump raid while Tulsi Gabbard accuses of Biden of a blatant abuse of power.

U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland admitted in a hastily called press conference on Thursday afternoon that he had personally signed off on the search warrant issued against former President Trump, authorizing the unprecedented FBI raid.

Garland also revealed that the Department of Justice is seeking to unseal the mysterious warrant, citing “substantial public interest in this matter.”

The move comes right after the same federal judge who signed the warrant ordered the DOJ to respond to a watchdog group’s motion to unseal the warrant.

Magistrate Judge Bruce Reinhart told the DOJ to respond by next Monday, but all the details still might not be made public. “The response may be filed ex parte and under seal as necessary to avoid disclosing matters already under seal. In that event, the Government shall file a redacted Response in the public record,” Reinhart wrote.

On Aug. 9, Judicial Watch filed its motion asking the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida to unseal as soon as possible the search warrant materials used by the FBI to raid Trump’s Mar-a-Lago home in Palm Beach, Florida earlier this week.

“The Biden administration’s raid on President Trump’s home is an outrageous, reckless, and unprecedented abuse of power. And the American people have an urgent right to know how it happened and who is responsible,” Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton said in a statement.

The Albany Times Union and The New York Times have joined Judicial Watch in filing for the unsealing of the warrant by filing an amicus letter and motion respectively.

Due to multiple organizations filing to unseal the warrant, Judge Reinhart ordered, “To avoid the need for individualized orders on any future motion(s) to unseal, it is ORDERED that the Government shall file an omnibus response to all motions to unseal on or before 5:00 p.m. Eastern time on August 15, 2022.”

According to numerous media outlets, the warrant reportedly relates to an alleged dispute over the Presidential Records Act

As CBN News reported, the probe is reportedly part of a federal investigation into whether Trump took classified records from the White House after he left office. Trump had previously cooperated with federal officials, allowing them access to his Mar-a-Lago home to reclaim documents.

(continued)

Meanwhile, former congresswoman and Democratic presidential candidate Tulsi Gabbard said the FBI’s raid on Trump’s home shows an “escalating, very dangerous trend of abuse of power” by the Biden administration.

“This is something that every American should be extremely concerned about because this raid is just the latest serious escalation of this disturbing trend that we’ve seen of blatant abuse of power by those in power, to not only protect their friends but to target their political opponents or frankly anyone who dares to dissent or challenge or disagree or even question what this administration is doing,” Gabbard told Fox News.

While this statement from Gabbard may be meant merely to distinguish her from the Democrats that push through the rest of the Build Back Broker plan by Biden, I agree with her rhetoric

But, while I agree with her rhetoric, more than rhetoric is needed. Action first. Rhetoric can come when things are not as critical and people might need to be informed on a topic. However, the only people without an opinion now are those who remain willfully blind.

In what alternate universe does the Democrat-bolstered IRS need to enforce its judgements with deadly force?

Once a voluntary tax to a life-and-death matter, the Biden Inflation Reduction bill makes the IRS too powerful

As reported by Breitbart and archived at Archive Today, a job advertisement for the Internal Revenue Service includes a “Major Duty” where the applicant should expect to “Carry a firearm and be willing to use deadly force, if necessary.”

A job listing for the position of IRS Criminal Investigation Special Agent stresses that applicants must “carry a firearm and be willing to use deadly force” in order to carry out their duties.

The job listing says:

As a Special Agent you will combine your accounting skills with law enforcement skills to investigate financial crimes. Special Agents are duly sworn law enforcement officers who are trained to “follow the money.” No matter what the source, all income earned, both legal and illegal, has the potential of becoming involved in crimes which fall within the investigative jurisdiction of the IRS Criminal Investigation. Because of the expertise required to conduct these complex financial investigations, IRS Special Agents are considered the premier financial investigators for the Federal government.

It goes on to describe Special Agent “major duties,” which include “[carrying] a firearm and [being] willing to use deadly force, if necessary.” Applicants for the Special Agent position must also “be willing and able to participate in arrests, execution of search warrants, and other dangerous assignments.”

By the way, this requires a hat tip to Bunkerville.

Despite Democrats’ dive into the realm of the National Socialists, no justification exists for arming the pencil pushers that cannot answer the phones or issue tax returns

If they cannot handle manning a phone bank to respond to questions about tax forms and if they cannot issue tax returns on time, then they really don’t deserve guns or deadly force. This weaponizing should not last beyond the first few minutes of Republican domination of the House and Senate.

Vichy Republicans defined

These top GOP senators still haven’t condemned Democrats’ banana republic FBI raid on Donald Trump

The Federalist tells us in a 9 August 2022 article how certain Republican politicians have not condemned the raid on Trump’s home.

More than 24 hours after the FBI’s “unannounced raid” on former President Donald Trump’s home, some in Senate GOP leadership including Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell have refused to condemn the rogue agency’s actions against their party leader.

While House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy rushed to condemn the Department of Justice’s “intolerable state of weaponized politicization” the night of the raid and even announced plans to “conduct immediate oversight of this department,” neither McConnell, Senate Republican Policy Committee Chair Roy Blunt, nor Senate Republican Whip John Thune had publicly mentioned a word to their constituents, the press, or their colleagues by Tuesday afternoon about taking action against the politicized bureaucratic agencies that have increasingly targeted Americans.

Instead of addressing the two-tiered justice system in the U.S., something nearly 80 percent of Americans say is a legitimate problem facing the nation, as a united party that stands behind its former presidential leader, McConnell and his Senate peers have remained deliberately mum on the FBI’s ambush at Mar-a-Lago.

Their offices did not immediately respond to The Federalist’s questions about whether they plan to condemn the raid.

Biden jumped into the middle of what he thought would be the persecution of Muslims in redneck America

Reuters applauded Joe Biden’s sidling up to the Muslim community by way of pushing for an investigation of four murders of Muslim men.

Police in New Mexico on Sunday asked for the public’s help in locating a “vehicle of interest” in their probe of four fatal shootings of Muslim men whose slayings in Albuquerque over the past nine months are believed by investigators to be related.

Mayor Tim Keller said state authorities were working to provide an “extra police presence at mosques during times of prayer” as the investigation proceeds in New Mexico’s largest city, home to as many as 5,000 Muslims out of some 565,000 total residents.

The latest victim, police said, was gunned down on Friday night, in a killing that local Islamic leaders said occurred shortly after he had attended funeral services for two others slain during the past couple of weeks.

All three of those men, as well as the very first victim who was shot dead in November, were Muslim men of Pakistani or Afghan descent who resided in Albuquerque.

Police have given few details of the latest murder but described the first three killings as ambush shootings. Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham has characterized them as “targeted killings of Muslim residents.”

U.S. President Joe Biden posted a message on Twitter on Sunday expressing solidarity with the Muslim community, adding, “These hateful attack have no place in America.”

Of course Dementia Joe channeled Obama

Dementia Joe has done his best to continue the failed portions of the Obama years. Why not return to this?

The first problem is that the murderer wasn’t who Joe Biden suspected

A 51-year-old Sunni Muslim has been arrested in connection with the murders

The United Kingdom’s Metro reports that Muhammad Syed, an Afghan Sunni Muslim, has been arrested.

A ‘primary suspect’ has been charged in two of four killings of Muslim men in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Muhammed Syed on Tuesday night was charged with murder for two of the killings. He was also identified by police as the main primary suspect in the other two cases.

When police arrived to search Syed’s house in Albuquerque, he drove away in a Volkswagen Jetta that they believe was used in one of the ‘ambush-style’ shootings.

Police followed Syed from the home before eventually arresting him in Santa Rosa – about 118 miles west of Albuquerque.

Syed was charged with the July 26 murder of Aftab Hussein and the August 1 murder of Muhammad Afzaal Hussain.

‘The gun used in both of those shootings was discovered during the overnight search of his home,’ stated police.

Police Chief Harold Medina said they are still working to charge Syed for the deaths of Naeem Hussain on August 5 and Mohammed Zaher Ahmadi on November 7, 2021.

He did not know whether the deaths would be classified as hate crimes, serial killings, or both.

Any speculation on how long it will take Biden and the Democrats to act like this never happened?

Will you be able to measure the shortness of time?

However, we cannot let them sweep the Trump raid under the rug

Despite the tendency of the main-stream-dupe Democrats to swing their cameras away from the real story of the Trump raid, we cannot let it go.

Standing for Trump’s rights not to be raided and even eliminating the FBI are not a matter of opposing “defund the police.” The police that I support are local and must answer locally for their actions. Accountability remains a central part of any structure that I want to use to invest power.

The FBI, on the other hand, does not answer to a local control (or any control outside of the Democrat National Committee). That presented quite a conflict of interest (or at least should have) when the House, Senate, and presidency were held by the other party. And, now that the American gestapo has installed their own brand of demented leader, it compounds the problem.

Therefore, we cannot afford to let this go, since, as we were reminded by The Federalist‘s Margot Cleveland:

If we have the attorney general come out, we have the FBI director come out and say, “We had evidence. We had evidence that he had classified documents. We went to court. We did this the right way. We got a warrant” — why should we believe them? They already proved to us that they were willing to lie and that a judge was willing to rubber-stamp something in the past to get Trump.

The lack of media confidence finally gets recognized

A year ago, Americans were showing their distrust in media

The US ranks last among 46 countries in trust in media

A Poynter article dated 24 June 2021 reports on a Reuters survey that found little trust among Americans when it came to print and broadcast media.

The United States ranks last in media trust — at 29% — among 92,000 news consumers surveyed in 46 countries, a report released Wednesday found. That’s worse than Poland, worse than the Philippines, worse than Peru. (Finland leads at 65%.)

The annual digital news report from the Reuters Institute for the Study of Journalism at Oxford also found some improvement in trust in nearly all the countries surveyed — probably thanks to COVID-19 coverage — but not in the U.S. where the low rating was flat year to year.

One explanation, though not necessarily the only one, is the extreme political polarization in the U.S. This study, like many others, found extremely high levels of distrust — 75% of those who identify as being on the right thought coverage of their views is unfair.

Local news, both print and broadcast, fared better than national news. However, the findings for struggling local print outlets were not all good.

Interest in local news and willingness to pay for it was not strong. Only 21% in the U.S. said that they pay for news online. Of those who do, 31% said they pay for The New York Times, 24% for The Washington Post and only 23% for the site of a local or regional paper.

The most popular local news topic, by a wide margin (62%), was weather. Staples of local newspaper coverage like politics (33%) and education (16%) lagged. Those surveyed indicated a preference for local broadcast (52%) as a source over newspapers (16%).

As of the coronavirus media coverage, surely the shine had to come off from media

Because such a stark difference between reporting on coronavirus and observable reality (as could be seen by driving by hospitals), surely only the lazy and the really gullible continued believing the Democrat narrative.

After this year’s poll, the media starts to catch on

A Gallup poll indicates trust in television and newspapers has dropped to historic lows

Gallup reports that an annual poll of 1,005 respondents found that our trust of television and newspapers has fallen to record lows.

  • 16% of Americans have a great deal/quite a lot of confidence in newspapers
  • 11% have some the degree of confidence in television news
  • Democrats’ confidence low but higher than Republicans’, independents’

Americans’ confidence in two facets of the news media — newspapers and television news — has fallen to all-time low points. Just 16% of U.S. adults now say they have “a great deal” or “quite a lot” of confidence in newspapers and 11% in television news. Both readings are down five percentage points since last year.

Gallup has tracked Americans’ confidence in newspapers since 1973 and television news since 1993 as part of its annual polling about major U.S. institutions. The latest readings are from a June 1-20 poll that saw declines in confidence ratings for 11 of the 16 institutions measured and no improvements for any.

Television news and newspapers rank nearly at the bottom of that list of institutions, with only Congress garnering less confidence from the public than TV news. While these two news institutions have never earned high confidence ratings, they have fallen in the rankings in recent years.

A majority of Americans have expressed confidence in newspapers only once — in 1979, when 51% did. But there is a wide margin between that and the second-highest readings of 39% in 1973 and 1990. The trend average for newspapers is 30%, well above the latest reading of 16%, which is the first time the measure has fallen below 20%. The percentage of Americans who say they have “very little” or volunteer that they have no confidence is currently the highest on record, at 46%.

Confidence in television news has never been higher than its initial 46% reading in 1993 and has averaged 27%, considerably higher than the current 11%. This is the fourth consecutive year that confidence in TV news is below 20%. And for just the second time in the trend, a majority of Americans, 53%, now say they have very little or no confidence at all in TV news.

(Read more at Gallup)

When their reporting did not line up with observable reality, what did they expect?

When the main stream media focused on stories that only supported their narrative, did they not expect Americans to seek out alternative sources and stop trusting the newspapers / Democrat TV news? When the most recent hire at the TV station reported the latest “surge” of coronavirus (that didn’t pack hospitals that we pass to and from work), did they expect we would just accept their word?

It seems that main stream media’s Katy Tur has started to feign some introspection. Maybe some actual soul searching that involved review of the bias on main stream media shows might have convinced a few of us.

One other thing that might make American news consumers a little less jaded would be if the media stopped covering staged “events” as real news (like where AOC acts like she is being handcuffed at a protest in front of the Supreme Court when no handcuffs were present).

The best part is how AOC exposes her fraud by raising her fist 10 seconds into doing her fake “perp walk.” Not even the most dedicated in the Democrat press can cover for these idiots.

The concept of mutable sexuality contacts genetics, creates suicidal friction, and births several Schrödinger’s parts

Left-wing outlets insist that “transphobic” Senator Josh Hawley found himself “schooled” by a Berkeley law professor

Fox News summarizes the reporting by several news outlets on the exchange between Senator Josh Hawley and associate professor Khiara Bridges in the following way:

Progressive media sites promoted the viral clip of Sen. Josh Hawley, R-Mo., and Berkeley Law Professor Khiara Bridges clashing over whether men can get pregnant Tuesday as an example of a liberal “schooling.”

During a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing, Bridges testified on the harm that abortion bans could bring to “people with a capacity for pregnancy.” After using that term several times, Hawley asked whether she meant “women.” Bridges responded that “trans men and non-binary people” were also capable of pregnancy, leading Hawley to question whether abortion remained a “women’s rights issue.”

After continued questioning, Bridges accused Hawley of being “transphobic” and encouraging “violence.”

(Read more at Fox News)

Please consider these salient points ignored by Fox News

These points might have some bearing on the overall discussion:

  • This overall hearing purportedly was held to discuss the affect of the Dobbs case (that is, how the Supreme Court’s decision that Roe came from a loom of whole cloth and, from a liberal perspective, received numerous accusations by abortion providers of causing problems within the field of women’s health).
  • The professor did not just mention “people with a capacity for pregnancy” several times — she mentioned that phrase five times before this exchange began.
  • Bridges’ response to Hawley’s question “Would that be ‘women?'” clearly opened the discussion of abortion (which previously had been shut off by the Left as something only to be discussed by those with a uterus) to males.
  • The reason that Bridges opened the discussion of abortion to men came through her outrage at Hawley’s failure to recognize the current Leftist concept of sexuality.
  • Thence, the Leftist concepts of sexuality and sanity can be seen to hold a number of similarities to the better-known paradox of Schrödinger’s cat.

A transcript of the exchange

Although Yahoo News provided the bulk of the transcript of the exchange, the first few interchanges came from the C-Span video included below the transcript.

Speaker Testimony
Hawley Professor Bridges, you said several times — you’ve used a phrase I want to make sure I understand what you mean by it: You’ve referred to “people with a capacity for pregnancy.” Would that be “women?”
Bridges Many women, cis women, have the capacity for pregnancy. Many cis women do not have the capacity for pregnancy. Um. There are also trans men who are capable of pregnancy as well as non-binary people who are capable of pregnancy.
Hawley So this isn’t really a women’s rights issue, it’s a–
Bridges We can recognize that this impacts women, while also recognizing that it impacts other groups. Those things are not mutually exclusive. Senator Hawley.
Hawley So your view is that the core of this right then is about what?
Bridges So I want to recognize that your line of questioning is transphobic and it opens up trans people to violence by not recognizing them.
Hawley Wow, you’re saying that I’m opening up people to violence by asking whether or not women are the folks who can have pregnancies?
Bridges So I’m, I want to note that one out of five transgender persons have attempted suicide. So I think it’s important–
Hawley Because of my line of questioning?
Bridges Because–
Hawley So we can’t talk about it?
Bridges Because denying that trans people exist and pretending not to know that they exist–
Hawley I’m denying that trans people exist by asking–
Bridges Are you?
Hawley –If you’re talking about–
Bridges Are you? Are you?
Hawley –About women–
Bridges Are you?
Hawley –Having pregnancies?
Bridges Do you believe that men can get pregnant?
Hawley No, I don’t think men can get pregnant.
Bridges So you are denying that trans people exist. Thank you.
Hawley And that leads to violence? Is this how you run your classroom? Are students allowed to question you?
Bridges Absolutely.
Hawley Or are they also treated like this where–
Bridges No, no, no, they’re allowed to question.
Hawley They’re told opening up people to violence by questioning?
Bridges We have a good time in my class. You should join.
Hawley I bet.
Bridges You might learn a lot.
Hawley Wow, I would learn a lot. I’ve learned a lot–
Bridges I know.
Hawley –Just in this exchange.
Bridges Absolutely.
Hawley Extraordinary.
Bridges Yep.

The quantum paradox of Schrödinger

As well-explained at Nature (primarily because I don’t have the time, devotion to this inane theory, a mind-reading capability, or the patience), Schrödinger presents this quantum paradox:

In the world’s most famous thought experiment, physicist Erwin Schrödinger described how a cat in a box could be in an uncertain predicament. The peculiar rules of quantum theory meant that it could be both dead and alive, until the box was opened and the cat’s state measured. Now, two physicists have devised a modern version of the paradox by replacing the cat with a physicist doing experiments — with shocking implications.

Quantum theory has a long history of thought experiments, and in most cases these are used to point to weaknesses in various interpretations of quantum mechanics. But the latest version, which involves multiple players, is unusual: it shows that if the standard interpretation of quantum mechanics is correct, then different experimenters can reach opposite conclusions about what the physicist in the box has measured. This means that quantum theory contradicts itself.

The conceptual experiment has been debated with gusto in physics circles for more than two years — and has left most researchers stumped, even in a field accustomed to weird concepts. “I think this is a whole new level of weirdness,” says Matthew Leifer, a theoretical physicist at Chapman University in Orange, California.

The authors, Daniela Frauchiger and Renato Renner of the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH) in Zurich, posted their first version of the argument online in April 2016. The final paper appears in Nature Communications on 18 September1. (Frauchiger has now left academia.)

Weird world

Quantum mechanics underlies nearly all of modern physics, explaining everything from the structure of atoms to why magnets stick to each other. But its conceptual foundations continue to leave researchers grasping for answers. Its equations cannot predict the exact outcome of a measurement — for example, of the position of an electron — only the probabilities that it can yield particular values.

Quantum objects such as electrons therefore live in a cloud of uncertainty, mathematically encoded in a ‘wavefunction’ that changes shape smoothly, much like ordinary waves in the sea. But when a property such as an electron’s position is measured, it always yields one precise value (and yields the same value again if measured immediately after).

The most common way of understanding this was formulated in the 1920s by quantum-theory pioneers Niels Bohr and Werner Heisenberg, and is called the Copenhagen interpretation, after the city where Bohr lived. It says that the act of observing a quantum system makes the wavefunction ‘collapse’ from a spread-out curve to a single data point.

The Copenhagen interpretation left open the question of why different rules should apply to the quantum world of the atom and the classical world of laboratory measurements (and of everyday experience). But it was also reassuring: although quantum objects live in uncertain states, experimental observation happens in the classical realm and gives unambiguous results.

Now, Frauchiger and Renner are shaking physicists out of this comforting position. Their theoretical reasoning says that the basic Copenhagen picture — as well as other interpretations that share some of its basic assumptions — is not internally consistent.

What’s in the box?

Their scenario is considerably more involved than Schrödinger’s cat — proposed in 1935 — in which the feline lived in a box with a mechanism that would release a poison on the basis of a random occurrence, such as the decay of an atomic nucleus. In that case, the state of the cat was uncertain until the experimenter opened the box and checked it.

In 1967, the Hungarian physicist Eugene Wigner proposed a version of the paradox in which he replaced the cat and the poison with a physicist friend who lived inside a box with a measuring device that could return one of two results, such as a coin showing heads or tails. Does the wavefunction collapse when Wigner’s friend becomes aware of the result? One school of thought says that it does, suggesting that consciousness is outside the quantum realm. But if quantum mechanics applies to the physicist, then she should be in an uncertain state that combines both outcomes until Wigner opens the box.

Frauchiger and Renner have a yet more sophisticated version (see ‘New cats in town’). They have two Wigners, each doing an experiment on a physicist friend whom they keep in a box. One of the two friends (call her Alice) can toss a coin and — using her knowledge of quantum physics — prepare a quantum message to send to the other friend (call him Bob). Using his knowledge of quantum theory, Bob can detect Alice’s message and guess the result of her coin toss. When the two Wigners open their boxes, in some situations they can conclude with certainty which side the coin landed on, Renner says — but occasionally their conclusions are inconsistent. “One says, ‘I’m sure it’s tails,’ and the other one says, ‘I’m sure it’s heads,’” Renner says.

The experiment cannot be put into practice, because it would require the Wigners to measure all quantum properties of their friends, which includes reading their minds, points out theorist Lídia Del Rio, a colleague of Renner’s at ETH Zurich.

Yet it might be feasible to make two quantum computers play the parts of Alice and Bob: the logic of the argument requires only that they know the rules of physics and make decisions based on them, and in principle one can detect the complete quantum state of a quantum computer. (Quantum computers sophisticated enough to do this do not yet exist, Renner points out.)

Several things to note about Schrödinger’s paradox

We should take specific note regarding the following aspects of Schrödinger’s paradox that have specific application to the Leftist concepts that follow:

  • This paradox has no real-world equivalent. It cannot be repeated in your bedroom, at your office, or in any physical location.
  • This amounts to nothing but a thought experiment. Read the bullet above.
  • The rules of physics have no effect on the thought experiment. Read the two bullets above.
  • Thence, based the three bullets above and on the number of times that Marxism or any other Leftist concept has worked in the real world, Schrödinger’s paradox is the perfect medium for understanding mutable Leftist concepts like sexuality and sanity.

Schrödinger’s uterus

If we returned to the original reason for calling the hearing where Senator Hawley and associate professor Bridges had their exchange, we would find that the topic originally focused on abortion. Except that (in accordance with the Leftist talking points promoted across America) all of the males in the chamber would have been silenced because only those with a uterus could speak on abortion.

However, as mandated by Schrödinger’s uterus, we all have and don’t have said uterus.

Therefore, the discussion of abortion has paradoxically been opened to all (at least until the Left realizes that it has opened this discussion and b****-slaps itself to get its focus off of transgender ideology).

Schrödinger’s brain

In response to two questions (a question on a point of clarity on “people with a capacity for pregnancy” and a question on whether the hearing centered on women’s rights), Bridges quickly became unhinged. First, she accused Senator Hawley of promoting violence against the transgender community by just asking those two questions. Then, when probed on how questions cause violence against the transgender community, she jumped to a claim of self-violence (specifically, suicide) which she anecdotally linked to discussion of things tangential to transgenderism.

This exposes several weaknesses in the argument supporting transgenderism:

  • First, the ability to communicate stands as the primary quality (even over the ability to make tools) that makes us human. Therefore, to limit discussion on a topic due to its potential to cause purported “violence” to someone limits the whole of us.
  • To confuse violence and suicide in this discussion likely stands as a deliberate blurring of the lines and an ad hominem attack against anyone who doesn’t goose-step to the Bridges drum.
  • Transgenderism itself (until very recently) was recognized as a mental disorder of gender dysphoria. Therefore, why should one be surprised that a group that is no longer treated (but encouraged in their delusion and given often non-reversible treatments and surgeries) would become suicidal?
  • Probably not finally, but last among the points I will discuss, if a claim of violence is to be made, shouldn’t that claim be direct and material (not hearsay)?

It seems that Bridges only exposes the weakness of her own contentions by going on a personal attack (“Are you? Are you? Are you? Are you?”).

By the by, I have to thank Bunkerville, American Family Radio, and other conservative outlets for beating this d*** drum until this concept came to me.

Leftist Republicans join with Democrats for gun confiscation

Breitbart tells us of Pat Toomey and his hopes to pull other Republicans into a gun control deal with Democrats.

Senator Pat Toomey (R-PA) said Sunday on CBS’s “Face the Nation” that he hoped at least half of his Republican colleagues in the Senate would vote for the gun package he was currently negotiating.

Partial transcript as follows:

MARGARET BRENNAN: Well, we see overwhelming support in our CBS polling for background checks, which is why it’s interesting that it’s difficult. There was a Republican congressman in the state of New York, I’m sure you heard about this. Chris Jacobs. He represents a district around Buffalo where there was an awful mass shooting just a few weeks ago, he dropped out of his reelection race. After- seven days after he publicly endorsed a Federal Assault Weapons Ban and limits on high capacity magazines. This is what he had to say.

REP. CHRIS JACOBS ON TAPE: We have a problem in our country, in terms of both our major parties. If you stray from a party position, you are annihilated. For the Republicans, it came- it became pretty apparent to me over the last week that that issue is gun control. Any gun control.

BRENNAN: Do you agree with him?

TOOMEY: No, I don’t. I think there’s a wide range of opinions among elected Republicans just as there are among Republican voters across the country-

BRENNAN: Well–

TOOMEY: –in my case, I wrote a bill with Senator Manchin and advocated for expanding background checks in 2013, as you pointed out, again in 2015–

BRENNAN: –right, but you couldn’t get enough Republicans to vote with you to get it passed–

TOOMEY: –We voted on it in 2016. I was reelected- I was- I was reelected without a primary challenge. So I think that that tells you something also

BRENNAN: Well, excuse me, I’m sorry, my voice. The President himself has campaigned on this idea that he can be a deal breaker- broker. Does he need to get involved? Or does the involvement of the president lessen the chances of success here?

TOOMEY: Yeah, the problem is I think the President might have been a president who would reach across the aisle try to bring people together. But he’s chosen not to take that approach. Since day one, he has sided with the far left of his party and really not reached out to Republicans. He gave a speech on this topic where he advocated policies that he knows for sure have no chance of passing the Senate probably couldn’t even get 50 votes, and hold the Democrats much less get the 60 we would need. So once again, the President is not being very helpful. I think at the end of the day, this is going to come down to whether we can reach a consensus in the United States Senate. There are intensive discussions underway. It includes people who have not been engaged on this issue in the past. I can’t certainly can’t guarantee any outcome. But it feels to me like we are closer than we’ve been since I’ve been in the Senate.

BRENNAN: So you can get four other Republicans to stand with you, the six who are negotiating?

TOOMEY: My hope is we’ll get a lot more than that. My hope is we’ll get at least half the Republican conference. (continued in great detail)

Obviously liberals who duped Republicans for years now want to retire comfortably

These liberals (commonly called RINOs) like Toomey and Cornyn have seen that their fellow liberal activists will stand outside their houses and protest for days on end. They don’t want that, so they have determined to sacrifice our rights.

It seems to me that it is time for conservatives to act like liberals. Exactly like liberals — down to the riots, marches, and protests outside of officials homes.

Biden’s open-border policy overwhelms shelters in Maine

The Epoch Times reports on the effect of Biden’s open-border policy on even far-from-the-Southern-border Maine.

Facing an impending humanitarian crisis, Portland Family Shelters Director Mike Guthrie has a simple message to anyone who will listen, “We need help!”

Guthrie, a hands-on, frontline worker in the effort to feed, clothes, and house a continuous flow of foreign nationals arriving in Portland by airplane or bus from the U.S. southern border, told The Epoch Times, “Our family shelter facilities, our warming room, and even area hotel space is at capacity. We have maxed out our community resources.

“The time is coming when I’m going to have to look a dad in the face and tell him and his family that I don’t know where they’re going to sleep tonight.”

The Portland Family Shelter is a complex of four rented buildings in various states of renovation located in the heart of downtown.

Some of the structures are gradually being converted into small apartments where up to four families will share a single kitchen and bathroom.

All four buildings are overflowing their present capacity.

“The intake is greater and faster than we can process,” Guthrie said.

To accommodate the stream of new arrivals, the family shelter program has in recent months placed 309 families (1,091 people) in eight hotels located in five neighboring municipalities spread over three counties of southeastern Maine’s prime tourist and vacation region.

Those moves, with their attendant complications and problems, have resulted in some pushback from the local Mainers who fear their prized relaxed lifestyle may never be the same.

And they resent not having a voice in any of it.

“It’s just part of the state government’s plan to bring the slums to the suburbs,” said a Mainer from the resort and tourist community of Kennebunkport, a small town about 28 miles down the Atlantic coast from Portland.

“The United States cannot rescue Africa.”

Coming out of the Kennebunkport post office, long-time Mainers Virginia and Robert shared their opinions on what the locals see as the “invasion” of Maine by immigrants.

Virginia commented, “We have sympathy for the asylum seekers, but resources are over-extended and now it’s going beyond Portland.”

“Eventually, it’s going to impact our quality of life,” Robert said.

Pressures on Portland’s homeless shelter capacity last year inspired a York County community action group to obtain a federal grant to help house the city’s regular homeless population.

If Biden implements his system of slavery to the state, then these would likely be the neediest

As long as college students imagine themselves as being the recipients of governmental largesse, those college students tend to support socialism. However, I have never participated in a class (as either a student or instructor) where A, B, and C-grade students volunteered to give away grade points to failing students who had skipped assignments or tests.

Something tells me that formerly socialist-leaning students who might find themselves working only for other peoples’ benefit might consider the slavery of socialism differently.

Nonetheless, while Biden holds power, it seems he remains all too willing to make us slaves of the Democrats in charge.

As Biden continues to pander to the climate change crowd, voters say gasoline prices and inflation will drive their vote

The Daily Mail spells out the mood of voters as the mid-term elections approach.

Voters say that economic issues are their top priority heading into the 2022 midterm elections as only 37 percent say they approve of how President Joe Biden is handling economic recovery – and even less approve of gas prices and inflation.

A whopping 83 percent of Americans say that the economy is either an extremely or very important issue in determining how they will vote, according to an ABC News/Ipsos poll published on Sunday.

But Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg assured ABC News in a Sunday morning interview that inflation is Biden’s ‘top economic priority,’ despite record-setting hikes and record-low approval.

‘I’m sure additional ideas will be welcomed,’ Buttigieg said on the continued effort to improve the economy.

When it comes to inflation, only 28 percent of Americans approve of Biden’s handling of the issue compared to the 71 percent who disapprove.

Accusations from the Left versus Actions from the Left

I have a hard time figuring out the Left.

On one hand, they accuse the Right of: On the other hand, they commit:
Insurrection when people enter the Capitol (most just wandering through the halls like well-controlled tourists) What seems to be a revolt when they pledge to become “ungovernable
Having no compassion for our fellow citizens when we do not submit our bodies to “the jab” One supreme act of non-compassion as they make baby-killing the hill they will (only metaphorically) die on
Racism by proxy due to the acts of the Buffalo shooter What seems to be a degree of support (considering that the left-leaning social media published the Buffalo shooter’s video while blocking many conservative videos)
Violence when a Marxist, climate-change nut who wrote a manifesto indefensibly shoots Blacks because of their skin color Themselves to rioting in the streets over the possibility of losing Roe v Wade (never mind that most Planned Parenthoods are built in minority communities and that minority businesses were razed during the left-wing 2020 George Floyd riots)
Being racist when another person commits a racist act (like that at Buffalo) The soft racism of selective attention by ignoring the attack on an American-Taiwanese church and the attack on the Christmas parade
Dictatorship when five out of nine Justices vote to return the issue of abortion to be voted on by the states (when, 49 years ago, seven robed men discovered the right to abortion in the Constitution) Hypocrisy over dictatorships (as when Biden turned to Venezuelan dictator for oil after Biden unilaterally cancels U.S. lease sales in the Gulf of Mexico and Alaska)
Promoting the concept of “Replacement theory” recently through media personalities like Tucker Carlson More hypocrisy (since the New York Times published We can replace them in October 2018 and  replacement theory has often been the topic of choice at Politico and other left-wing rags)

Liberals do the exact opposite to solve the problem

Canada euthanizes the poor

The B.C. Catholic reports that Canada has committed to euthanizing its poor rather than treating them.

There is an endlessly repeated witticism by the poet Anatole France that ‘the law, in its majestic equality, forbids the rich as well as the poor to sleep under bridges, to beg in the streets, and to steal bread.’ What France certainly did not foresee is that an entire country – and an ostentatiously progressive one at that – has decided to take his sarcasm at face value and to its natural conclusion.

Since last year, Canadian law, in all its majesty, has allowed both the rich as well as the poor to kill themselves if they are too poor to continue living with dignity. In fact, the ever-generous Canadian state will even pay for their deaths. What it will not do is spend money to allow them to live instead of killing themselves.

As with most slippery slopes, it all began with a strongly worded denial that it exists. In 2015, the Supreme Court of Canada reversed 22 years of its own jurisprudence by striking down the country’s ban on assisted suicide as unconstitutional, blithely dismissing fears that the ruling would ‘initiate a descent down a slippery slope into homicide’ against the vulnerable as founded on ‘anecdotal examples’. The next year, Parliament duly enacted legislation allowing euthanasia, but only for those who suffer from a terminal illness whose natural death was ‘reasonably foreseeable’.

Rather than wasting the resource of a human life, why not provide the healthcare you famously promised?

God gifted us with the advantage of life. For those who have sound mind and means (as do most who are in governmental positions), to allow others in their sway to slip into death due to governmental negligence is unconscionable.

Biden wants to put out the inflation fire by pouring government-spending gasoline on it

The New York Times suggested in a 11 November 2021 article that Biden’s plan to spend more government money would magically cure inflation (which they must have seen as more favorable than contradicting another Democrat).

Rocketing inflation has become a headache for U.S. consumers, and President Biden has a go-to prescription. He says a key way to help relieve increasing prices is to pass a $1.85 trillion collection of spending programs and tax cuts that is currently languishing in the Senate.

A wide range of economists agree with the president — but only in part. They generally accept his argument that in the long run, the bill and his infrastructure plan could make businesses and their workers more productive, which would help to ease inflation as more goods and services are produced across the economy.

But many researchers, including a forecasting firm that Mr. Biden often cites to support the economic benefits of his proposals, say the bill is structured in a way that could add to inflation next year, before prices have had time to cool off.

From the way Biden has approached inflation, it seems that he has not looked at history

It seems that he has not looked at the hyperinflationary actions of Venezuela when they compounded the problem of skyrocketing consumer costs by printing more money. Likewise, as pointed out by Elizabeth Ames in her promotion of her book with Steve Forbes and Nathan Lewis, it seems that Biden has not reviewed the history of the 1970’s (when raising interest rates only pushed the nation into recession).

Instead of these options, Biden might follow the example of Paul Volcker (who killed inflation by stabilizing the dollar) (a concept mentioned by Elizabeth Ames during an interview on News Radio KTRH).

How government spending fuels inflation

The Wall Street Journal presents a common-sense view of how government spending adds to the problem of inflation.

Annual inflation in the U.S. rose to 7.5% in January, the highest it’s been since February 1982, when it was 7.6% and declining. This current crisis, economist John Cochrane says, came as “a complete surprise” to the Federal Reserve. “All of the governors who reported forecasts, all of the staff, missed it.” When he calls this an “institutional failure,” he sounds almost kind.

Mr. Cochrane, 64, parses the present inflation in a conversation by Zoom from his house in Palo Alto, Calif., near Stanford University, where he’s a senior fellow at the Hoover Institution. His tone is wry, and it’s obvious he doesn’t hold this Fed in the greatest esteem. “They’re leading us in the dark,” he says, “with a great pretense of knowing exactly what the map is in front of us.”

(continued)

He traces the present inflation to the pandemic and the government’s response. Starting in March 2020, “the Treasury issued $3 trillion of new debt, which the Fed quickly bought in return for $3 trillion of new reserves.” The Treasury then sent checks to people and businesses, later borrowing another $2 trillion and sending more checks. Overall federal debt rose nearly 30%. “Is it at all a surprise,” Mr. Cochrane asks, “that a year later inflation breaks out?”
