Joe Antoinette: “Let them eat cake”
Joe Biden gives rare live TV interview to local Cincinnati station, expressing indifference toward the plight of Americans
The Daily Mail points to the hypocrisy of the Biden regime as they callously brush off the rise of gas prices and food.
President Joe Biden participated in a rare live television interview on Monday evening to Cincinnati station Local 12, as his White House contends with surging prices and plummeting approval numbers.
He sat down with the local station just two days after his approval rating hit a new low of 38 percent in the latest USA Today/Suffolk University Poll. Nearly half of those surveyed said Biden failed to meet their expectations for him.
But he shrugged off voters’ displeasure when interviewer Kyle Inskeep asked Biden if those numbers meant needing to shift his focus.
‘Well look, the poll I saw just before I walked in on another station was my polling number is down, but it’s 48 percent to 52 percent,’ the president said.
‘But look, the point is I didn’t run because of the polls.’
He added that Americans were feeling more uncertain right now because of the ongoing pandemic and rising prices at the pump.
‘A lot of people are worried,’ Biden said. ‘Think about this. Look what 750,000 people have died because of COVID. The psychological scars that has put on so many people. Schools have not been opened because of COVID.’

He said ‘we’re in a situation when there’s a lot, a lot of anxiety.’
‘Gas prices are up, exceedingly high,’ Biden continued. ‘That’s why I have the attorney general taking a look at whether or not these gas companies are gouging people.’
He also claimed his poll numbers were comparable to his predecessors during their time in the White House.
During the seven-minute chat, Biden also talked about the passage of his $1.2 trillion bipartisan infrastructure deal.
The president was admittedly late for the interview, which Biden chuckled about when Inskeep excused him as a ‘very busy man.’
‘I’m sorry to keep you waiting, I really am,’ Biden said while folding a black mask and setting it down.

Joe’s handlers have part of this right: much of our issues are based on the economy and his vaccine mandate
We are mad about the economy and the vaccine mandate. However, it is much more than that. And it doesn’t center on Dementia Joe’s low approval rating. I could care less about what other people think of a president; however,
I do care about how much the president cares about America. And with this resident of the Oval Office, the care ain’t there.
The main thing over the past eight-plus months of his tenure have been his non-stop harping on COVID (ending with this nonsensical mandate). I say that, if he is going to live by the COVID sword all this time, let him die on the COVID sword.
…
Still, Joe pushes ahead with his vaccine mandate by making his DOJ run interference for OSHA
Biden’s DOJ asks court to lift order blocking vaccine rules
The Hill details how Joe Biden’s DOJ has started pushing to have the order blocking vaccine rules lifted.
The Biden administration in a filing late Monday said it has the legal authority to mandate COVID-19 vaccines or tests for larger companies, and that the GOP-led states and businesses challenging the law have not shown their claims will outweigh the harms of stopping the rule.
In a filing to the 5th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals, which temporarily blocked the mandate with a nationwide stay last week, the Department of Justice (DOJ) said the rule is firmly grounded in law and necessary to keep people safe.
Stopping the mandate from taking effect “would likely cost dozens or even hundreds of lives per day,” the DOJ wrote. “Petitioners’ asserted injuries, by contrast, are speculative and remote and do not outweigh the interest in protecting employees from a dangerous virus while this case proceeds.”
DOJ was responding to the court’s ruling on Saturday, when a panel of three judges issued a stay of the rule, citing “grave statutory and constitutional issues.” All three judges on the panel were appointed by Republican presidents.
The rule was issued last week by the Department of Labor’s Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), under its emergency authority. The rule would force companies with at least 100 employees to require unvaccinated employees to wear masks indoors starting Dec. 5 and then undergo weekly testing if they remain unvaccinated by Jan. 4.
Federal law gives OSHA the authority to issue an emergency temporary standard if it determines workers are exposed to a “grave danger” that necessitates a rule. However, the states and private companies argue that COVID-19 is not a “grave danger” specific to the workplace, saying the rule is an unlawful overreach of federal power.
The DOJ also argues there is no need to address the challenges immediately, because there is a congressionally mandated process for judicial review of OSHA standards. Since the challenges were filed in separate courts, there is going to be a lottery on Nov. 16 to determine which court will hear the lawsuit.

The Biden regime has proven itself the most dismissive regime of Supreme Court rulings
The Supreme Court told Biden that his eviction moratorium was unconstitutional. What did Biden do? He had his CDC issue an extension of that unconstitutional act.
Now, the Biden regime has had its hands slapped by the Fifth Circuit Court. What does Biden do? He pushes ahead by both arguing in court against it and getting his DOJ to do his dirty work. Additionally, he has instructed companies to ignore the Fifth Circuit Court.
Biden truly is a dictator.

Biden does not care about your legal rights
The tyrannical treatment of 6 January prisoners is a threat to our democracy
The Epoch Times outlines the ways that the despotic denials of freedom for those imprisoned for protesting on 6 January have acted against the freedoms of all Americans.
Since the founding of this great nation, a God-blessed America has offered the hope of liberty to the world. In more recent years, we have come to realize that should our experiment in self-governance fail, there would be no other nation on Earth that could fill the void left in its wake as the defender of such freedom.
Never before had any nation been founded to safeguard the rights of the individual, which changed the course of human history from brute force dictating propriety to recognition that every individual has value. Our Declaration of Independence enshrined the truth that individual rights come from the hand of our Creator, acknowledging them to be established by the Almighty and therefore not defined by the brute force realm of human power.
It took a Civil War and civil rights movement for America to grow into the profound commitments of its Declaration of Independence and Constitution. The Declaration has stood the test of time to ensure liberty for all in our nation and as the beacon of hope for the rest of the world. Our nation has continued to move to right the wrongs of fallible human beings and build upon the past.
We were getting exceedingly close.
Under Biden’s rule, for the first time in our history, normalizing the denial of civil rights and civil liberties based on ideology, not wrongdoing, is presented as a noble cause. Equal justice under the law for the Biden Department of Justice (DOJ) has taken a giant leap backward in embracing the medieval notion of might makes right in glorifying the denial of civil rights for political opponents. It is shameful and dangerous.
For months, elected officials representing the citizens of this country have been seeking truthful, non-politicized answers from the government about the events that unfolded on Jan. 6. We have been continually stonewalled, belittled, ignored, and even demonized by the DOJ, leadership at the Capitol Police, and the Bureau of Prisons. They each ignore requests and questions, refusing to allow oversight of their actions that gives every appearance of a cover-up of wrongdoing.
Think of the legal doctrine of spoliation. In court, if one party holds evidence and destroys it or refuses to produce it, the judge may instruct the jury to infer that the evidence is completely against the party hiding it. This is exactly what they are doing.
Should ideology and abuse of power continue to drive this administration’s actions, the Rule of Law will cease to exist. The only safeguard against these obvious improprieties is transparency. Until recent times, our country protected our individual freedoms by dragging every ugly wart out into the light of day to examine the actions of our government. We gave deference to individual rights. By its actions, the Biden administration is shredding the foundations of our legal system and the rights of the people’s representatives to protect them from government abuse.

From the attacks on the Project Veritas reporters to the Obama-era wiretapping of reporters to , today’s Democrats have a penchant for suppressing
Whether they are suppressing the press (as with Obama’s treatment of the press or Biden’s attacks on his advisaries), recent Democrats have worked to suppress their political enemies in the press. Likewise, they have used similar tactics against their civilian and political enemies (as with the 6 January protesters and any true conservative).

Biden attacks the press again
FBI Raids James O’Keefe’s house over Ashley Biden diary
Breitbart reports on the attacks on the First Amendment that took the form of FBI raids on Project Veritas members.
The FBI raided James O’Keefe’s home in New York on Saturday, apparently looking for clues in the alleged theft of a diary belonging to Ashley Biden, the daughter of President Joe Biden.
The New York Times reported on the raid, in a piece co-written by several Pulitzer Prize-winning journalists, including one, Michael S. Schmidt, who boasts that he won the award for coverage of President Trump and his campaign’s ties to Russia, though that story has since completely fallen apart.
Several pages purporting to be from the diary were published during the election, but were largely ignored, amid doubts about their authenticity.
The Times noted:
Federal authorities on Saturday searched the home of James O’Keefe, the founder of the conservative group Project Veritas, according to witnesses and people briefed on the matter, a day after Mr. O’Keefe acknowledged that the group was under investigation by the Justice Department in connection with a diary reported to have been stolen from Ashley Biden, President Biden’s daughter.
(continued)
Mr. O’Keefe did not immediately respond to a request for comment on Saturday. But in a video statement on Friday, he said that his group had recently received a grand jury subpoena and acknowledged that Project Veritas had been involved in discussions with sources last year about the diary.
O’Keefe said that his Project Veritas decided not to run stories about the diary, and had returned it to law enforcement:
George Washington University Jonathan Turley wrote that the O’Keefe raid was odd, as a stolen diary did not seem to implicate any kind federal crime, and suggested the possibility that Biden’s Department of Justice might have been targeting a journalist seen as a political opponent.

Odd thing about these attacks on Project Veritas reporters and its founder is that Joe Biden promised not to attack the press again
The Associated Press once reported on Joe Biden’s promise not to attack the press as he had during years previous.
President Joe Biden says he won’t allow the Department of Justice to seize journalists’ phone records and emails, calling the practice “wrong” in a significant departure from his predecessors.
“Absolutely, positively, it’s wrong. It’s simply, simply wrong,” he told a reporter Friday at the White House.
His comments come as CNN reported Thursday that the Trump administration Justice Department secretly obtained the 2017 phone records of one of their correspondents, the latest revelation of an apparent leak investigation aimed at identifying a journalist’s sources that was launched during the last administration.

The problem with Biden’s promise in February not to attack the press was that he broke that promise in June and at least twice again with his FBI raids on Project Veritas during the past few weeks.
When even the Washington Post calls out Democrats, those Democrats have progressed far into dictatorship
As put in a 6 June 2021 Washington Post op-ed covering Biden’s second infraction against the press, the Biden regime is “simply, simply wrong” in the way it treats what it sees as an adversary press. With Biden’s now throwing the FBI onto the investigative reporters of Project Veritas, the Biden regime has gone from suppressive to dictatorial.
During the final days of the Trump administration, the attorney general used extraordinary measures to obtain subpoenas to secretly seize records of reporters at three leading U.S. news organizations. After this was reported last month, President Biden rightly decried this attack on the First Amendment, calling it “simply, simply wrong” and assuring Americans that it would not happen in his administration.
Unfortunately, new revelations suggest that the Biden Justice Department not only allowed these disturbing intrusions to continue — it intensified the government‘s attack on First Amendment rights before finally backing down in the face of reporting about its conduct.
After Biden took office, the department continued to pursue subpoenas for reporters’ email logs issued to Google, which operates the New York Times’ email systems, and it obtained a gag order compelling a Times attorney to keep silent about the fact that federal authorities were seeking to seize his colleagues’ records. Later, when the Justice Department broadened the number of those permitted to know about the effort, it barred Times executives from discussing the legal battle with the Times newsroom, including the paper’s top editor.
This escalation, on Biden’s watch, represents an unprecedented assault on American news organizations and their efforts to inform the public about government wrongdoing.
Last month, The Post learned of secret subpoenas authorized by President Donald Trump’s outgoing attorney general to obtain email information and home, cell and office telephone records of three Post reporters over a 3½-month span in 2017. We immediately requested an explanation and answers to several questions from the Justice Department as well as a meeting with the attorney general.
To date, no answers have been provided and the meeting has yet to take place. This delay is troubling. When asked about how the president’s assurances can be squared with his Justice Department’s behavior, White House press secretary Jen Psaki could offer no explanation. She subsequently released a statement disavowing White House knowledge of the actions that appear to have continued for several months during Biden’s presidency.
Throughout U.S. history, there have been inevitable differences between news organizations seeking to shed light on government activity and government officials seeking to preserve secrecy. As a society, we have become accustomed to these tensions. For the most part, they have been constructive and good for the health of our democracy. However, the egregious acts by the outgoing Trump Justice Department, and the apparent doubling down on them during the Biden administration, should alarm all Americans, regardless of political persuasion.
The First Amendment is not a special privilege of the press but, rather, a fundamental right protecting all Americans. It empowers citizens to hold their elected officials to account by ensuring that wrongdoing, even at the highest levels, will be brought to light. Much of this reporting would be impossible without courageous government employees who, after learning about serious misdeeds, improper programs conducted under the cloak of secrecy, or other actions contrary to America’s fundamental principles and national interests, take the risk of speaking to reporters in confidence to bring such conduct to the attention of their fellow citizens.

Biden does not care about Americans abroad
Dozens of Americans are still stranded in Afghanistan
The Daily Mail calls out the Biden regime on the Americans still stranded in Afghanistan.
Dozens of family members of American soldiers remain trapped in Afghanistan and at the mercy of the Taliban more than two months after the Biden administration’s botched withdrawal from the country.
Those stranded include children, siblings and parents of US service members, as well as more than 100 extended family members.
The Pentagon does not have a ‘good accounting’ of how many family members of DOD civilians remain trapped in Afghanistan since the last US flight left Kabul airport at the end of August, NBC News reported
‘The federal government has turned their backs on them. If we abandon the family members of our service men and women in Afghanistan, they will certainly be slaughtered by the Taliban,’ Texas Rep. Michael McCaul said.
Congress members have been pressuring the Pentagon to help those stranded since the withdrawal fiasco, which included the deaths of 13 troops in a terror attack at Kabul airport.
In September, McCaul sent a letter to Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin and Secretary of State Antony Blinken asking them to assist in the escape efforts.
‘Over the past month, I have been contacted by hundreds of Texans who are desperately trying to get friends and family members safe out of the country,’ he wrote. ‘That includes the family members of several Texans who currently serve in the military.’
Pentagon officials have claimed that many of services members whose family remain trapped were Afghan born.
In an effort to launch a rescue mission, the Pentagon has created a database of those who can’t get out of the Taliban-controlled country.
Secretary of Defense for Policy Colin Kahl, in a memo Thursday, asked any military personnel and defense department civilians with immediate family members stuck in Afghanistan to contact the government and have their loved ones added to the database.
‘Any US military personnel or DoD civilian employees with immediate family members still in Afghanistan who desire assistance departing should contact the OUSD(P) Afghan Referrals mailbox,’ he wrote.
