United Nations “experts” slammed President Donald Trump’s call to label Antifa as a terrorist organisation, claiming it will undermine Antifa’s right of “peaceful assembly” — despite many instances of violence by the far-left anarcho-communist group.
On Friday, the United Nations Office at Geneva (UNOG) posted the flag of Antifa on their official Twitter account, saying that a group of human rights “experts” at the globalist organisation had expressed “profound concern over a recent statement by the U.S. Attorney-General describing Antifa and other anti-fascist activists as domestic terrorists, saying it undermines the rights to freedom of expression and of peaceful assembly in the country.”
One expert cited in the statement from the United Nations was Fionnuala Ní Aoláin, the UN Special Rapporteur on the promotion and protection of human rights and fundamental freedoms while countering terrorism, who also works as the Board Chair of the Open Society Foundations Women Program — OSF being the plaything of left-liberal billionaire activist George Soros.

“International human rights law protects the right to freedom of expression, association and peaceful assembly,” said Ní Aoláin, adding that it was “regrettable that the United States has chosen to respond to the protests in a manner that undermines these fundamental rights.”
The support from the UN for the far-left group came in response to U.S. Attorney-General William Barr’s statement that violence committed by Antifa “is domestic terrorism and will be treated accordingly”.
Though there has been no legal action taken since President Trump’s announcement that the U.S. will designate the group as a terrorist organisation, Ní Aoláin said that “the loose use of terrorism rhetoric undermines legitimate protests and dampens freedom of expression in the United States, which has been a hallmark of U.S. constitutional values, and a beacon far beyond its shores”.
The United Nations’ criticism of the Trump Administration’s rhetoric on Antifa sparked widespread ridicule, with many calling for the U.S. to defund the international body — mimicking the leftist movement to defund the police.
She’s just a kid trying to help make peoples’ lives a little easier. A little less painful. And now she’s under attack for it – and her family is facing death threats.
You’ve probably heard of Megan. Her non-profit is called Blue Line Bears. She, with the help of her family, takes the uniforms of fallen police officers and turns them into teddy bears for the surviving family members.
In an episode of Behind the Uniforms from season one, she shared the story of how she started her non-profit to help them.
Meg is the daughter of a cop. As such, she understands what families of law enforcement go through. In addressing why she started her company, she started with this:
“There is so much negativity aimed at police in general.”
Sadly, the recent high school graduate is coming face to face with just how vile and depraved some people can be in their hatred for EVERY cop and ALL those who love and support them.
Recently, she posted supportive statements on her personal social media page, only to have people, many of whom she considered friends, lash out at her and her family and then block her.
The post that led to all of the horrific comments, which included things too vile to print, but wished death on her dad and other officers:
“It’s a sad day in our house, and I know many of you would understand and relate.
How do we explain to our sweet, passionate, empathetic, amazing daughter why so many people around the world hate her dad (and so many of the officers that she has met around the country) simply because of the uniform he wears?
“He’s never done any of the things he’s accused of by association. She knows that he, and the overwhelming majority, does his job with passion and integrity. She is so worried and we have no answers for her. It’s a sad day.”
One woman commented:
“Very white of y’all to pose for a sympathy photo so you can get likes on FB. Yikes. ACAB (All Cops Are B******s).”
She felt compelled to follow that now-deleted post with this comment:
“Saying I am heartbroken is an understatement. 3 and a half years ago when I started Blue Line Bears tensions were high in the United States and police officers were under attack. I received hate comment after hate comment, most along the lines of ‘I hope your dad is the next Officer you make a bear for.’
Do you get the idea that Black Lives Matter is a lie and they are about destroying, hating, and stealing?
Do you get the idea that Black Lives Matter is just a group of angry people? Do you get the idea that maybe they just hate people they don’t look like? Do you get the idea that they are a group organized for the betterment of looters of all races?
Surely they aren’t Americans with socialist ideals. Surely socialists cannot hate America that much, can they?
In an article for New York Daily News,King describes any attempts to depict Jesus as anything other than “the look of a Syrian refugee” as “nefarious.” “A white, Eurocentric Jesus may be convenient for millions,” continues King, “but he is a lie designed to maintain the very systems of government and religious oppression that the biblical Jesus actually spoke out against.”
King is clearly not feeling the Christmas cheer. “Side by side with Easter” writes King, “It’s also the time when we’re most likely to see depictions of Jesus used as tools of white supremacy.”
King, who is still surrounded by questions regarding his true race as a result of investigations carried out by Breitbart, and who is still known to charge $7500 for speeches about race and gender, wrote that when Jesus is portrayed as a “Scandinavian sailor,” rather than a “Syrian refugee,” it’s in order to advance the “Anglo-Saxon, white supremacist agenda.”
The piece continues with a description of the historical Jesus, claiming that he looked more like “Alan Kurdi, the 3-year-old Syrian refugee whose body washed ashore and became a symbol of the migrant crisis, than a blond-haired boy.”
He concludes the piece by with a typical appeal to victimhood. “I have a hunch that the truly ethnic Jesus would have a pretty hard time around here nowadays,” King writes.
King’s attempt to racialize a figure of unity for billions is typical of Black Lives Matter. King takes the opposite approach of another King, Martin Luther King Jr, who encouraged us to see past race rather than shoehorn it into every facet of culture.
First off, there are no photographs of the real Jesus. We don’t know what he looked like.
However, we do know that the local people called him “the son of the carpenter.” Chances are that he looked like the standard dark, Middle-Eastern Jew. Chances are that he was not in the least bit White (like the Italian models who sat for the portraits by the masters of art).
Second, though, Jesus did say
“If the world hates you, you know that it has hated Me before it hated you. If you were of the world, the world would love its own; but because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, because of this the world hates you. Remember the word that I said to you, ‘A slave is not greater than his master.’ If they persecuted Me, they will also persecute you; if they kept My word, they will keep yours also. (John 15:18-20 NASB)
Four people were injured in a Midtown shooting early Saturday morning, according to the Houston Police Department.
The incident occurred at around 2 a.m. near Anita Street and Travis Street in the proximity of Midtown Park.
HPD officers responded to reports of several gunshots in the area.
“Just after 2.am., one of our patrol officers out here heard some gunfire,” HPD Lieutenant R. Wilkins said. “When he got in the area, he saw a vehicle leave. They got behind it and stopped it real fast. Right after, we started having shooting calls he had dispatched over here.”
When officers arrived upon the scene, they found four men with gunshot wounds. Two victims are in critical condition at an area hospital.
HPD officials say that the suspect is now on the run, and the motive for the shooting is unknown. During the investigation, police discovered that the driver who was pulled over initially was unrelated to the shooting.
“The one we had stopped we don’t believe will be a part of the shooting investigation,” Wilkins said.
Additionally, Republican District Attorney candidate Mary Nan Huffman comments on Facebook:
Oddly, searches at the local ABC, CBS, and NBC affiliates yield null results (like the screen capture below). It is almost as if the main stream media is trying to cover for the incompetent Democrat judges and Democrat Kim Ogg.
Alexis Saborit, already wanted for parole violations, now is wanted for intoxication manslaughter
The driver accused of killing two people during a short-lived police chase in northwest Harris County Monday night had a warrant out for his arrest for evading deputies outside the jail months ago, records show.
Now, 31-year-old Alexis Saborit is facing two felony murder charges. He’s accused of killing 63-year-old Jarvis Taylor and 57-year-old Roosevelt McClendon at the end of the pursuit.
A Harris County Sheriff’s Office deputy spotted the driver of a Mercedes Benz car, later identified as Saborit, in the 10000 block of Veterans Memorial Drive driving 61 mph in a 45 mph zone around 9 p.m., authorities said. The deputy tried to pull Saborit over, but he allegedly sped off south along Veterans Memorial.
After crossing West Mount Houston Road, Saborit allegedly pulled into the northbound lanes and drove the wrong way. The deputy followed the driver southbound in the northbound lanes, according to HCSO spokesperson Jason Spencer.
Seconds later, the Mercedes driver slammed into Taylor, who was on a bicycle in the outside lane. The driver continued and crashed head-on into a Buick LaCrosse, driven by McClendon.
The deputy, helped by a Texas Department of Public Safety trooper, took Saborit into custody after the crash, Sgt. Simon Cheng said. He was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
Firefighters had to cut McClendon out of his car as paramedics rushed Taylor to a nearby hospital. McClendon was taken to the hospital in an air ambulance.
Both were pronounced dead shortly after arriving at the hospitals, Cheng said.
Saborit showed signs of intoxication, Cheng said, although it is unclear if that was factored into the felony murder charges. In Texas, anyone who is committing certain felonies while doing something “clearly dangerous to human life” can be charged with felony murder if someone dies during the commission of the underlying crime, according to state law.
As soon as this felon violated his terms of probation, he should have been in jail
The first time this man broke the terms of his probation, he should have been put in jail. That would have saved the lives of two people — innocent people — not that Kim Ogg or the social justice judges care.
The Young Turks co-hosts Cenk Uygur and Ana Kasparian on Wednesday criticized conservative commentator Candace Owens’ recent debate performance against progressive professor Cornel West on the Fox News Channel.
Uygur accused Owens of either being “pathetically stupid” or driven solely by money to “sell out black people.”
A partial transcript is as follows:
CANDACE OWENS: Years after slavery, the black community was doing better. We were going up, up, up.
ANA KASPARIAN: That was Candace Owens arguing that “Hey, it is socialism that has lead to the terrible economic situation of the for people of color. And the debate that she had was with Cornel West, as you might have seen in that video, Laura Ingraham hosted this debate segment and Candace Owens said a lot of dumb things throughout. Let’s take a look.
OWENS: 100 years after slavery, the black community was doing better. We were going up, up,up. Then suddenly they socialized our community via welfare policies and the black community started going down, down, down. And you’re sitting here support a candidate [Sen. Bernie Sanders [I-VT] who is advocating to do that on a larger scale. He’s saying we’re going just going to do it for the black community, we’re going to do it for every community in America. You know his policies do not work. You know that socialism has lead to more deaths than anything else in the last 100 years.
CENK UYGUR: First of all, on two separate occasions there, supported white nationalism, which has murdered black people in this country for hundreds of years. It was white supremacy, the idea of that, that drove slavery, Jim Crow, the Klan. Now you have an African-American woman paid to defend white nationalism. That is disgusting…. So the horrible years, where they’re being oppressed against the law and against the constitution, you call ‘the good years’ and then when somebody tries to actually help the African-American community you say, ‘Oh, that’s when things started to go down, down, down.’ I mean, it’s so perverse… I don’t know if she’s just pathetically stupid and doesn’t know any history at all or that she knows the history of how brutal white nationalism and supremacy has been to African-Americans and thinks I don’t care at all, where’s my money? The only color I see is green. You want me to sell out black people and lie over and over and over again about wonderful white people were to us as they were lynching us in the South? Great! Where’s my check? I’m in!
This fallacy attacks the person and not the idea that the person has argued.
The straw man fallacy
AOC’s Chief-Of-Staff Admits Green New Deal About Implementing Socialism
As reported in a 11 July 2019 article in The Daily Wire, it seems that AOC’s Green New Deal was only introduced as a straw man in the debate over socialism / capitalism (rather than the debate over climate change, as it was initially presented).
Socialist Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s (D-NY) far-left chief-of-staff, Saikat Chakrabarti, admitted in a recent Washington Post interview that the Green New Deal was not created to protect the environment, but to implement socialism.
The Post notes that the admission came during an exchange between Chakrabarti and Sam Ricketts, climate director for Washington Gov. Jay Inslee (D), who is a long shot running for president. The Post reports:
Chakrabarti had an unexpected disclosure. “The interesting thing about the Green New Deal,” he said, “is it wasn’t originally a climate thing at all.” Ricketts greeted this startling notion with an attentive poker face. “Do you guys think of it as a climate thing?” Chakrabarti continued. “Because we really think of it as a how-do-you-change-the-entire-economy thing.” [emphasis added]
Conservatives have long warned that Ocasio-Cortez’s $93 trillion “Green New Deal” is a trojan horse that is designed to implement socialism.
Tom J. Donohue, CEO of the United States Chamber of Commerce, wrote earlier this year:
Climate change is real and deserves our attention. But not every policy to address it can be taken seriously. Take, for example, the Green New Deal – a sweeping proposal to “save our planet” that reads more like a parody of the progressive agenda. No laughing matter, however, is the proposal’s ultimate objective: to give government unprecedented power over people’s lives and our entire economy. …
…Other aspects of the Green New Deal seem wildly out of place for an environmental resolution. Consider the promise of massive new entitlement programs that could only be achieved through a radical redistribution of wealth. Here, the proposal shows its true colors. This is not some run-of-the-mill progressive policy – it is a Trojan Horse for socialism.
The Green New Deal aims to upend our entire economic system, wresting consumer choice from everyday Americans and putting personal decisions – from the food we eat to the cars we drive – in the hands of an unelected elite. …
Even other Democrats have called out Ocasio-Cortez’s far-left socialist agenda, including Rep. Max Rose (NY), who referred to Ocasio-Cortez’s plan as “a massive socialist economic policy platform.”
In a Washington Examiner article, Nancy Pelosi uses weasel words (a glittering generality) to attack President Trump over his immigration policies.
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi used a parable of Jesus to condemn President Trump’s immigration policy, in a Sunday tweet that also offered illegal immigrants advice if Immigration and Customs Enforcement shows up at their door.
“It should be a sign to us that today’s Catholic Gospel reading is the Good Samaritan, where Jesus teaches us to love our neighbors as ourselves and treat them with mercy,” the speaker tweeted. “Trump’s ICE raids today tear families apart -the opposite of mercy. #FamiliesBelongTogether#KnowYourRights”

The Christian parable of the Good Samaritan, found in the Gospel of Luke, was a sermon by Jesus in which he depicted a Jewish man who had been robbed, beaten, and left on the side of the road. Though ignored by several people, the man at last was rescued by a Samaritan, with whom the Jews of that time were enemies. The story is considered by scholars and theologians to be an example of love transcending personal prejudice.

Conservative Colin Nior captures the moment Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner tells pandemic crooks to “chill”
When I happened across the newscast of Mayor Turner telling Houston criminals the following statement, my first thought did not comport with Matthew 5:22.
Until the coronavirus is resolved, criminals take a break. Okay. Stay home, okay. Stay home and don’t commit any crimes and, that way, they are stay safe and out of jail and police officers will stay safe and can go home to their families. Okay. So, everybody, chill. Crooks, criminals, you chill. Wait until the coronavirus is over. Okay.
When I first heard Mayor Turner’s words, I feverishly went to YouTube to see if the coronavirus statements by local officials had been published by the local media. Sadly, while they may have reported on the presser, they didn’t publish it online.
Just in case the verse slipped your mind, here it is:
But I say to you that everyone who is angry with his brother shall be guilty before the court; and whoever says to his brother, ‘ You good-for-nothing,’ shall be guilty before the supreme court; and whoever says, ‘You fool,’ shall be guilty enough to go into the fiery hell. (Matthew 5:22 NASB)
Mayor de Blasio makes a statement “to all communities” that ignores recent history
My message to the Jewish community, and all communities, is this simple: the time for warnings has passed. I have instructed the NYPD to proceed immediately to summons or even arrest those who gather in large groups. This is about stopping disease and saving lives. Period.

Point of recent history #1: New Yorkers flock to the waterside to view Blue Angels fly over
As reported by USA Today on 28 April 2020, the Blue Angels performed a fly-over for New York City, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey. One thing that was not mentioned was the crowds that amassed at the waterfront.
Did Mayor de Blasio send his police force to break up these people since many did not observe social distancing? I cannot find a report suggesting that anyone was arrested.
Even when the photographs are staged, some Muslims did not use social distancing
Therefore, based on the fact that they don’t practice social distancing when they know they are being photographed, that leads me to ask: “Why would they then practice social distancing during a traditional meal Ramadan meal that is commanded to be held in groups?”
That is, if the faithful Muslim has bothered to fast all of the lit hours of the day, why should he or she disobey tradition because some kafir tells him to social distance?
Point of continuing history #2: Mayor de Blasio devotes city funds to provide 500,000 “free” halal Ramadan meals (traditionally a group meal)
New York City will provide over 500,000 free halal meals to Muslims during Ramadan, Mayor Bill de Blasio (D) announced this week.
The city will distribute 400,000 halal meals at 32 specific Department of Education sites in areas where there are “large Muslim communities,” de Blasio announced on Thursday. Another 100,000 will be distributed through partnerships with community-based organizations, such as food pantries or soup kitchens.
“One of Ramadan’s most noble callings is to feed the hungry. And it’s a crucial part of how the holiday is celebrated, to remember to be there for those in need,” de Blasio said at a press briefing on Thursday. “And that is now harder than ever.”
“Obviously, people can’t go to their mosques,” he continued. “In fact, mosques have often been a place that those who were hungry, those who were poor, would know they could go during Ramadan to break the fast.”
Muslims believe acts performed during Ramadan will receive multiple times the reward during the rest of the year
Because Muslims believe that acts of faith performed during Ramadan will receive multiple times the reward as those performed during the rest of the year, we see an uptick in the number of jihadist attacks. Therefore, I think it is unreasonable for Mayor de Blasio to think that the Ramadan meals he hands out will not be consumed by people sitting in groups.
However, I also thought it was illogical for de Blasio to support the release of criminals just on the off chance that they might catch coronavirus.
Jones had told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution in a statement Wednesday that he was retiring from the state House, a week after telling the newspaper that he was endorsing the president for reelection.
“Turn the lights off, I have left the plantation,” Jones said. “Someone else can occupy that suite. Therefore, I intend not to complete my term effective April 22, 2020.”
The Georgia Democrat said in the video that he received a “barrage of attacks and name-calling by the far left.”
Why punish Vernon Jones for his words and ignore Sheila Jackson-Lee’s idiocy?
Truthfully, the words of Vernon Jones seem to me little more than political survival. If the Democrats had not put a spotlight on it, many would have never known of it and most would have forgotten of it within several years. So why force a member of your own party out?
Is it because they have to keep the rest of their party goosestepping to the party line?
Black Female Michigan Democrat faces censure vote over support for Trump, hydroxychloroquine
Michigan Democrats reportedly plan to censure a state lawmaker who met with President Trump and expressed support and thanks to him and his administration for their endorsement of hydroxychloroquine as a coronavirus treatment.
“They do not belong to themselves. They belong to the members and precinct delegates of the Democratic Party,” Mr. Kinloch said.
Such proprietary claims on an elected politician drew the scorn of Donald Trump Jr.
State Rep. Karen Whitsett faces a censure vote Saturday from party leaders who insist that she reports to them, according to a report Thursday in The Detroit News.
“At the end of the day, we have political systems, we have political parties and political parties exist for a reason,” Jonathan Kinloch, the chairman of the Democratic Party Organization in Michigan’s 13th U.S. Congressional District told the newspaper.
“They do not belong to themselves. They belong to the members and precinct delegates of the Democratic Party,” Mr. Kinloch said.
Such proprietary claims on an elected politician drew the scorn of Donald Trump Jr.

Ms. Whitsett met with the president and Vice President Mike Pence on April 14, after she had credited hydroxychloroquine with saving her life following her infection with the coronavirus.
“Thank you for everything that you have done,” Ms. Whitsett said at her Washington meeting. “I did not know that saying ‘thank you’ had a political line. I’m telling my story and my truth, and this is how I feel and these are my words.”
Mr. Trump has voiced support for the drug, though less so in recent days, noting anecdotal reports from physicians and others having success treating COVID-19 patients with it.
Therefore, the press (the media arm of the Democrats) could have ignored Representative Whitsett’s statements and recovery. Likewise, the Democrats in office could have ignored the statements and recovery. Most Democrats would never have known about what happened or what she said and most Republicans would not have changed their vote.
However, again, Democrats felt a need to enforce lockstep uniformity among their members. Remember who the party of Big Brother is, disallowing all aberrant thinking.
How can the Democrats claim the title of the party of science when they ignore it so often
William Bryan brings findings of DHS Study that finds sunlight and humidity reduce the life of coronavirus
At Thursday’s White House briefing, William N. Bryan, the acting undersecretary for Science and Technology at DHS, told reporters:
We’ve identified that heat and humidity is a weakness in that chain. We’ve identified that sunlight, solar light, UV rays, is a weakness in that chain. That doesn’t take away the other activities, the White House guidelines, the guidance from the CDC and others on the actions and the steps that people need to take to protect themselves. This is just another tool in our toolbox, another weapon in the fight that we can add to it. And we know that summer-like conditions are going to create an environment where the transmission can be decreased, and that’s an opportunity for us to get ahead.
Bryan said his team has seen the “powerful effect” that solar light has on the virus “both on surfaces and in the air.” They’ve seen a similar effect with both heat and humidity.
Bryan presented a chart which shows the dramatic effect that these three variables have on the virus which can be viewed here.
He explained that, under normal circumstances, COVID-19 has a half life of 18 hours (on surfaces). “Normal circumstances” is defined as temperatures between 70 and 75′ and humidity of 20%.
If humidity is increased from 20% to 80%, the half life decreases to six hours (on surfaces).
If humidity remains at 80% and the temperature is increased to 95′, the half-life drops to one hour (on surfaces).
Next, Bryan adds the effect of solar light. A scenario is a summer day, the temperature is between 70 and 75′, humidity is at 80%. The addition of solar light will reduce the half-life of the virus (on surfaces) to two minutes which is pretty stunning.
The situation is different for aerosols (saliva droplets in the air). Under normal circumstances, indoors (no solar light), temperature is between 70 and 75′ and humidity is at 20%, the half life is approximately one hour. If you step outside on a summer day, with temperature and humidity remaining the same, the half life plunges to one and a half minutes.
So, the virus, Bryan concludes, survives best indoors and in dry conditions and it dies the quickest under the presence of direct sunlight. He noted that “extra care may be warranted or dry environments that do not have exposure to solar light. Increasing the temperature and humidity of potentially-contaminated indoor spaces appears to reduce the stability of the virus.”
The DHS has also tested the effects of of various disinfectants on the virus and Bryan said, “I can tell you that bleach will kill the virus in five minutes, isopropyl alcohol will kill the virus in 30 seconds, and that’s with no manipulation, no rubbing.”
He stressed the following point: “It would be irresponsible for us to say that we feel that the summer is just going to totally kill the virus and that it’s a free-for-all and that people can ignore those guidelines [social distancing and other health guidelines], that is not the case. We have an opportunity though, to get ahead with what we know now, and factor that into the decision-making for what opens and what doesn’t.”
What’s remarkable about this is that the press does not pay attention
Rather than acting as mediums of information, these propagandists for the Democrat party ask questions that find their only basis in his own anecdotal evidence. Rather than act as parts of a party of science (where competing studies might be considered), Democrats seem to be the party of nothing but opposition.
Quote from coronavirus press briefing proves the lack of a scientific bent in the Democrat party
… Rucker fired off this obnoxious question in reaction to a DHS presentation on how the virus could struggle when exposed to the sun with high humidity and temperatures:
Mr. President, after the presentation we just saw about the heat and humidity, is it dangerous for you to make people think they would be safe by going outside in the heat considering some of the people are dying in Florida and considering that this virus has had an outbreak in Singapore, places that all hot and are humid.
Trump didn’t miss a beat, groaning: “Yeah, here — here we go. Here we go. The new headline is Trump asked people to go outside. That’s dangerous. Here we go. Same old group.”
He added that he “hope[s] people enjoy the sun and if it has an impact, that’s great.”
After asking Dr. Deborah Birx to chime in, Rucker again blabbered and Trump offered quite the comeback, leaving Rucker with a look of dread and sadness (click “expand”):
But respectfully, sir, you’re the President and people tune into these briefings. They want to get information and guidance and want to know what to do. They’re not —
— looking for rumors.
Hey, Phil! I’m the President and you’re fake news. And you know what I’ll say to you? I’ll say it very nicely. I know you well. I know you well, because I know the guy. I see what he writes. He’s a total faker. So, are you ready? Are you ready? Are you ready? It’s just a suggestion from a brilliant lab by a very, very smart, perhaps brilliant man. He’s talking about sun, he’s talking about heat and you see the numbers. So that’s it. That’s all I have. I’m just here to present talent. I’m here to present ideas because we want ideas to get rid of this thing and if the heat is good and sunlight as good, that’s a great thing as far as I’m concerned.
These quotes and the resulting focus of the press prove the Democrat press does not focus on science, but on the politics of opposition
First, consider the background of the writer that the Washington Post sent to this science-oriented daily briefing. Philip Rucker has a background in political writing that can be easily googled. Google him, and you will find that he co-wrote A Very Stable Genius (not a complementary book, in the view of President Trump). Just this alone does much to prove a case of liberal bias (also known as Trump Derangement Syndrome).
Second, consider the way Philip Rucker addressed President Trump. While the divide between the political left and right has only grown since Obama was inaugurated in 2008, can you name a journalist who addressed President Obama in this manner and kept his or her job? Since Rucker addressed the President in this manner and got away with it, it only proves the bent of the press.
Third, after the press briefing, no main stream media articles or videos focused initially on the DHS study, the rudeness of the reporter, the fact that the reporter wanted to prioritize anecdotal evidence over scientific study, or other similar topics that may have appeared during the Obama administration. Rather, the leading videos and articles were on Trump suggesting that disinfectants be injected (something that seems like a verbal slip or just thinking out loud and using the wrong words).
Rep. Dan Crenshaw debated HBO’s “Real Time” host Bill Maher on Friday over President Trump’s handling of the coronavirus outbreak and whether his optimistic style is hopeful or delusional.
“Exuding positivity in a crisis is exactly how we ask our SEALs to lead,” Crenshaw said about Trump’s style.
“When people make these accusations,” Crenshaw said, “I have to ask them: Is the goal to make Trump look bad or is the goal to get to the truth? Because there are two separate sets of answers for that.”
As Republicans almost always have, we need to show respect
With a hat tip to Jimmy Barrett of Talk KTRH in Houston, I have to also stand with Representative Crenshaw. When I agree with my leaders, I will say so. When I don’t, I will also speak out.
However, politically, I will stand behind any politician that votes for 51% of my positions. Spiritually, I will stand behind and pray for the person God has used circumstances to put in power (no matter how little I stand with them).
This daily-updated map shows how many have died from COVID-19 in each state
There have been 728,094 confirmed cases of coronavirus and 34,726 deaths in the United States as of Sunday, April 19, at 8:17 a.m., according to The New York Times’s roundup of state and local health agencies, hospitals and CDC data. Wyoming experienced its first death from coronavirus Monday.
Including a screen capture of the death map would be pointless
However, since this map is updated daily, I would encourage you to visit it daily using the mobile app for the Daily Caller. Still, since we know that Mayor Bill DeBlasio (and likely others) have added non-coronavirus deaths to the coronavirus death totals, we must take these numbers with a grain of salt.
Thousands line up for donated food in Texas’ largest city
Thousands of people lined up for hours to receive donated food collected by the Houston Independent School District and the Houston Food Bank. Lines grew so far in advance that organizers opened the event three hours early.
Houston ISD and the Houston Food Bank teamed up to provide enough food to last a family for two weeks and organized the delivery of the food at Harris County’s NRG Stadium complex, KTRK ABC 13 reported. More than 4,000 cars lined up in a mile-long caravan to receive the gifts that are meant to curb “food insecurity.”
Over 4,000 vehicles full of Houstonians showed up at NRG Park Saturday afternoon where 90,000 pounds of food were d… twitter.com/i/web/status/1…
Drivers lined up for hours in advance and the vehicles stretched along the roadway for more than a mile. Officials decided to open the even three hours earlier to relieve traffic and help volunteers avoid approaching thunderstorms.
One recipient of the food donations said the event was extremely well organized.
Workers distributed more than 90,000 pounds of food in what organizers called the first “mass food distribution site” in the city’s history, the Houston Chronicle reported. As each car approached in the multiple lanes of distribution, volunteers put bags of potatoes, meat, and milk in each vehicle.
To this, add the drop to negative for the oil prices
Considering that 6.33 million people in one city have been sheltered in place, it is little wonder that bread lines are up and gas usage has dropped. Also consider that a third of that population probably would normally drive their cars some 13 average miles per day and now drive (what? – 2 miles to the grocery store, if you don’t walk for exercise) and you have an idea of what little Lina has done to the Houston economy.
If not for the bumbling of little Lina in the Houston economy (where she shut down businesses and schools — unlike those in Sweden, who never shut down, but has experienced similar infection rates to those who did), Houston might have an economy that would function on the level that Sweden’s does now. Remember, if you just add the populations of Houston, Dallas, and Fort Worth (never mind Austin, San Antonio, Lubbock, or the other cities of Texas), you have well exceeded the population of Sweden.
Nancy Pelosi does not want Americans to go back to work. She and other Democrats will loft every possible excuse to prevent the nation from reopening, claiming that Trump’s intention of doing so is “deeply frivolous and wrong,” as Pelosi claimed is a recent tweet.
She mocks the president’s supposedly cavalier attitude that “People will die, so be it” instead of a science & testing-based path to reopening the economy…”
The Left downplays the effectiveness of therapies like hydroxychloroquine and remdesivir and derides doctors like Dr. Oz or Dr. Phil who don’t share the punditry’s alarmism. They are especially scornful of any hint of optimism.
They will insist that every single human being must be tested before a bricklayer, a piano tuner or professional golfer can safely earn a living, knowing that we are far from achieving that goal.
Who would have thought that rescuing the country from massive unemployment and collapsing incomes would become a political hot potato? Who would have thought that Democrats would be willing to sacrifice the well-being of the nation in order to win an election?
Only someone who has watched Democrats try to topple President Trump for three years with no success but ever-increasing desperation. Having failed to oust him by alleging conspiracy with Russia and then through a partisan and unfair impeachment, now they pray that a devastated economy will demolish his best argument for reelection.
That could happen, especially if blue and purple state governors around the country keep the lid on activity, demand that small businesses remain shuttered, and enforce the general misery, all in the name of keeping us “safe.” Mayor Bill de Blasio is threatening to keep New York City’s municipal swimming pools closed this coming summer, for budget and health reasons. Can you imagine what impact that might have city kids who have been cooped up for months, and who are desperate to play outside?
A coronavirus model, which has been used to predict the number of U.S. deaths, is showing a significantly lower projection than before. The University of Washington’s Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation (IHME) published its new estimate of around 60,000 deaths on Friday.
The new information showed the expected COVID-19 deaths reduced by more than 20,000, down from an estimate of 84,000 virus fatalities last month.
A statement from the institute estimated there will now be longer peaks and slower declines in death rates in many places in the nation.
“We are seeing the numbers decline because some state and local governments, and, equally important, individuals around the country have stepped up to protect their families, neighbors, friends and coworkers by reducing physical contact,” stated IHME Director Christopher Murray. “Now the challenge, as well as opportunity, is for states to figure out how to reopen the U.S. economy and allow people to get back to work without sacrificing that progress.”
The New York Times knew about the origins of the novel coronavirus from various analysts at the CIA and NSA but has still not reported the findings, according to a report Friday from Fox News’ Tucker Carlson.
A Fox News report from Wednesday, citing sources, said that the coronavirus originated in a lab in Wuhan, China as part of the country’s efforts to compete medically with America.
Carlson reported Friday that “someone in a position to know” said there is “almost unanimous agreement in the American intelligence gathering agencies that the virus currently destroying much of the world emerged from a lab in Wuhan.” He added that “analysts from the CIA [Central Intelligence Agency], the NSA [National Security Agency] and others have briefed staff” at the NYT, but that the publication has yet to report on it.
“Almost unanimous,” Carlson said Friday. “That’s a phrase almost never used to describe any conclusion coming out of the Intel community. Government officials in this country have believed that for some time now.”
“They’ve been unable to interest our media or our epidemiologists in writing about it. In recent weeks analysts from the CIA, the NSA and others have briefed staff at The New York Times about the origins of this virus, but the newspaper has still not reported their findings.”
Carlson added that not only has the NYT reportedly ignored these analysts, but that “China has been waging an unremitting propaganda war on the subject.”
“Chinese officials have tried to squelch all conversations about who might be responsible for this pandemic by inflaming the political sensitivities and race guilds of American elites,” Carlson said on “Tucker Carlson Tonight.”
A Democratic group expected to spend millions of dollars targeting President Donald Trump received over $100,000 in stock shares from an anonymous donor in a giant Chinese tech company, according to tax filings.
American Bridge 21st Century accepted a gift in 2018 of 450 shares into Baidu, a Google-like tech company closely affiliated with China’s ruling Communist Party, according to the group’s 2018 IRS filings. The Washington Free Beacon first reported on the donation Wednesday.
It is unclear if American Bridge sold the stocks during the past two years, according to the Free Beacon’s report. Democratic operative David Brock founded the group in 2010 and has raked in $23 million in 2020, with a reported $2 million of that money coming from mega-financier George Soros.
American Bridge announced plans to spend $50 million on ads and messages targeting the president. The group is cutting ads thrashing Trump’s handling of coronavirus, or COVID-19, which originated in China before hitting the U.S. shores, where it’s killed more than 25,000 people.
When David Brock says anyone is un-American for not having an ultra-liberal viewpoint, remember this
Remember that the Communist Chinese want to fund David Brock and his groups when they spew out accusations against the American Family Association, the National Rifle Association, and other conservative groups.
‘Let them eat ice cream’: Multi-millionaire Pelosi shows off freezer full of gourmet ice cream as thousands line up at food banks
The Daily Wire used a 16 April 2020 article to comment on Nancy Pelosi’s “let them eat ice cream” attitude while many were struggling to make ends meet due to Democrat leaders issuing “shelter at home” orders.
Talk about tone deaf.
As thousands of people across the country stand in line for hours at food banks just to survive — and as 22 million Americans have lost their jobs in the last month — House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) showed off her very expensive refrigerator stuffed full of some very expensive gourmet ice cream.
Pelosi appeared Monday on an episode of “The Late Late Show” with James Corden from her Napa Valley mansion. Asked by the host to “share something from her home,” Pelosi walked over to two massive built-in refrigerators and slid open a freezer drawer.
She later took to Twitter to post the clip, writing: “We all have found our ways to keep our spirits up during these trying times. Mine just happens to fill up my freezer.”
Presumptive Democratic nominee Joe Biden loved the post.
“You have great taste,” the former vice president wrote on Twitter.
Jails across the country are seeing more and more inmates and workers infected. In Dallas County, there is an effort to control the spread by releasing some inmates.
The Dallas County Sheriff’s Office has confirmed 42 positive cases of COVID-19 in inmates. That’s 30 more than were reported this past week. Another 16 detention officers and deputies have contracted the virus, although two of those officers have returned to work.
About a thousand inmates have been released from the Dallas County jail to help reduce the risk of transmission of COVID-19 inside the facility. Inmate advocacy groups applaud the move, but still have concerns.
Tiara Cooper, formerly incarcerated at Lew Sterrett, now advocates for inmates with live free faith in Texas. She says they would still like to see more inmates released to allow for more distancing inside the jail.
She also said there’s concern for newly released inmates and the communities they return to. She worries some inmates may have been exposed to the virus and of those released, she says many will end up homeless or return to communities with an already high number of COVID-19 cases.
“My hope for the people that are being released is that they be tested as soon as possible and that they have those direct services that are needed and necessary in this hour,” Cooper said.
A spokesman for the sheriff’s office says inmates are screened before being released and if there’s a possibility that person has been exposed to COVID-19, he or she is provided instructions by Parkland Hospital medical staff about what they need to do when they get out.
Gov. Jay Inslee’s office on Wednesday announced that the state will be returning a field hospital deployed to CenturyLink Field Event Center to the U.S. Department of Defense.
The 250-bed facility, for which setup began on March 30, was intended to help Washington state’s health care system tend to non Covid-19 patients in the event of a hospital surge.
But just three days after announcing the facility was ready to receive patients, officials say they’re returning the hospital to the federal government.
The action is aimed at helping another state with a more significant need for hospital capacity at this time, according to the Governor’s Office. The facility did not see any patients during the time it was slated to operate in Seattle.
“We requested this resource before our physical distancing strategies were fully implemented and we had considerable concerns that our hospitals would be overloaded with Covid-19 cases,” Inslee said in a press release.
“But we haven’t beat this virus yet, and until we do, it has the potential to spread rapidly if we don’t continue the measures we’ve put in place.”
China is using every weapon in its propaganda arsenal to deflect responsibility for unleashing a deadly pandemic upon the world. Fortunately, its inexorable ability to manipulate global opinion is coming to an end.
It was infuriating when the communist Chinese government lied to the world about the deadly new strain of coronavirus that emerged in Wuhan, causing immeasurable suffering by denying public health authorities the opportunity to take timely action. It was similarly infuriating when Chinese officials and state media shamelessly sought to blame Americans for the outbreak.
It’s even more infuriating, however, that the anti-Trump media and political establishment in this country consistently refuse to challenge Beijing’s perfidy. Instead, parroting their propaganda is the norm.
It’s incredibly difficult and dangerous to criticize the Chinese government while living under its oppressive yoke—especially for a native-born Chinese citizen. The state laws are incredibly strict about media content, big tech is heavily censored and state-infiltrated, and journalists are harshly penalized for criticizing the government. The Chinese government is willing to threaten, silence, and detain whistleblowers —and allow hundreds of thousands of people around the world to become infected with the deadly coronavirus— simply to avoid accountability.
I have sympathy for the Chinese citizens who have no choice but to abide by the communist regime’s dictates, but I have no such sympathy for American “journalists” operating for left-leaning news outlets peddling Chinese propaganda by insisting that it’s racist for President Trump and others to speak of the “Chinese” or “Wuhan” coronavirus, despite the long-standing practice of naming new diseases after their places of origin.
When Americans side with hostile totalitarian regimes against their own president, it raises serious questions about where their loyalties lie. Either China is able to effectively manipulate American reporters by appealing to their sense of “social justice,” or else there are a large number of so-called journalists more concerned with toeing the Chinese government’s line than with reporting the unvarnished truth.
It’s during moments like this when we become aware of just how financially dependent large corporations in the United States are on the Chinese market. Bloomberg News —the global media conglomerate owned by former Democrat presidential candidate Michael Bloomberg— is notoriously craven when it comes to China, suppressing negative coverage of the regime in order to preserve its lucrative business dealings in that country. Unsurprisingly, Bloomberg News has been at the forefront of the movement to challenge President Trump’s use of the term “Chinese coronavirus.”
But Bloomberg is far from the only major U.S. corporation that does extensive business in China. That’s unavoidable to a certain extent, considering that China still accounts for roughly 25 percent of global manufacturing output. Though, many firms have been shifting their operations to other low-cost countries in response to the President Trump’s strategic counter-tariffs on China.
It’s not just burglaries that went up in Houston, chief says
Houston ABC affiliate KTRK reports that Houston Police Chief points out that the “Stay Home, Work Safe” order by Harris County Judge Lina Hidalgo has resulted in higher violent and non-violent crimes.
As Harris County prepares to compile a list of non-violent inmates to release in the midst of the COVID-19 crisis, Houston Police Chief Art Acevedo has offered a glimpse into how the city has trended in terms of crime in the last two weeks of strict social distancing guidelines.
Aside from burglaries rising by close to 20 percent, the chief said aggravated assaults similarly increased by 19.3 percent. Additionally, given the broad, statewide order to stay at home, domestic violence incidents have jumped by six percent.
In terms of homicides, the chief observed that rate had gone down over the last couple of weeks. The same was said about robberies as well.
Many businesses throughout Harris County have been closed for the past two weeks, during which we have seen an 18.9… twitter.com/i/web/status/1…
The question is whether Hidalgo’s fought for release of felons will cause a bump of violence
A 19% raise in burglaries is nothing to sneeze at; however, since Democrat judges have been enforcing very low bails for violent crimes and because some of the same judges have released felons on coronavirus fears (in addition to Lina Hidalgo’s attempted release of 1,000 felons), one has to ask when this will have affects.
Commercial burglaries soar since coronavirus emergency measures
Commercial burglaries in New York City have risen 75 percent amid the coronavirus outbreak, according to data from the NYPD.
Police said 254 businesses have been targeted between March 12, the day a state of emergency order was issued by Mayor Bill de Blasio, and March 31.
This is up from the 145 burglaries recorded for the same time period last year, NYPD officials said.
“What we are seeing is that criminals are specifically targeting cash businesses, supermarkets and bodegas,” said NYPD Chief of Crime Control Strategies Michael LiPetri.
LiPetri noted that the method behind many of the burglaries has changed due to the emergency measures put in place to halt COVID-19’s spread, which forced many businesses to shut their doors.
“The opportunities are in a different place. There’s a lot less happening during the day, for example a lot less trucks are getting robbed. The burglaries we are seeing now are more organized and specifically targeted. There’s much more night-time entry, more forced entry, individuals breaking locks to get into businesses while they are closed,” LiPetri said.
Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot on Tuesday signed an executive order ensuring that all immigrants and refugees — including illegal aliens — are eligible to receive the city’s coronavirus benefits.
The city of Chicago has launched several programs in order to help residents cope with the financial challenges brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic. Such initiatives include a coronavirus Housing Assistance Grant program, an online resources program for students through the city’s public schools, and a $100 million Chicago Small Business Resiliency Fund to help small businesses that are struggling.
Lightfoot’s order Tuesday will allow illegal aliens to tap into all of these programs.
“This order is more than just an official decree, it is a statement of our values as a city and as Americans,” the Democratic mayor said during the press conference.
I have no problem with charity; however, I do not want to promote lawlessness
Throughout the arguments over the border, I have continually pointed out my support (that is, the things to which I have contributed either effort or money) of certain Baptist and non-denominational charities that go generally to the poor. However, when it comes to enabling law breaking, I cannot support any such effort.
As of the writing of this blog post on 9 April 2020, there were 23 deaths in Harris County related to coronavirus. For that, Lina Hidalgo shut down businesses and has issued a month-long house arrest that she wants to extend for 6.33 million citizens (and God only knows how many illegal aliens, but they seem to be allowed to stand on corners in large groups).
This needs to end.
Harm coming from Democrats (in and out of the Press) using misinformation
Pritzker: ‘Frankly, Very Many Fewer People Would Die’ If Trump Had Acted Earlier on Coronavirus
Sunday on CNN’s “State of the Union,” Gov. J.B. Pritzker (D-IL) said President Donald Trump did not act early enough to combat the coronavirus pandemic.
Pritzker said, “We now know that intelligence sources and all the best advice that was given was given in January and early February to the president and the White House, and they seem not to have acted at all upon it. If they had started in February building ventilators, getting ready for this pandemic, we would not have the problems we have today, and frankly, very many fewer people would die.”
As for the acts of Democrat governors to prevent the spread of coronavirus, I cannot find a single article documenting the work done. Therefore, considering the press that works hand-in-glove with all Democrats to promote them, we can assume that nothing was done by Democrats to stop coronavirus. Based on that, please shut up, Mr. Pritzker.
MSNBC host criticizes Republican states over pandemic, but ignores the fact that 36% of cases are in Democrat-run New York
MSNBC host Andrea Mitchell continued the effort on Monday, citing a Washington Post article that attempted to place blame for the spread of the virus at Trump’s feet.
“Well, ‘denial’ and ‘dysfunction’ have been the two words of the day, words that are used by The Washington Post in a searing account of the failures of the Trump administration to take COVID-19 seriously as the virus made its way from China into the U.S.,” Mitchell said, according to NewsBusters.
“For more than two months, time was squandered, warnings ignored, President Trump dismissing the virus as a hoax initially, only to lash out at the press and boast about his social media following.”
Contrary to the establishment media narrative of the administration having been in denial, Trump banned travel of foreign nationals from China to the U.S. on Jan. 31, one day after the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention confirmed human-to-human transmission of the virus in the United States.
This does not sound like the action of an administration in denial.
As for Mitchell’s assertion that Trump dismissed the virus as a hoax, even the liberal-leaning fact-checker Snopes has debunked this claim.
Trump did not call the virus itself a hoax. He said the attempts by Democrats and those in the media to blame the virus on him were a new hoax, a claim that seems to have been confirmed by their subsequent behavior.
For his decision to ban travel from China, Trump was ridiculed by the media and by Democrats, including former Vice President Joe Biden, who accused him of “xenophobia.”
“We are in the midst of a crisis with the coronavirus. We need to lead the way with science — not Donald Trump’s record of hysteria, xenophobia, and fear-mongering. He is the worst possible person to lead our country through a global health emergency,” Biden tweeted.

“We want to be vigilant about what is out there in other places,” she said at the time. “We want to be careful about how we deal with it, but we do want to say to people, ‘Come to Chinatown, here we are — we’re, again, careful, safe — and come join us.’”
On March 2, New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio encouraged people “to go on with your lives + get out on the town despite Coronavirus.”
Since I’m encouraging New Yorkers to go on with your lives + get out on the town despite Coronavirus, I thought I w… twitter.com/i/web/status/1…
And on March 10, long after the White House coronavirus task force was up and running, New York Democratic Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez was encouraging people to go out to Chinese restaurants because the establishments were “feeling the pain of racism.”
These statements from prominent Democrats sound an awful lot like denial, certainly more so than anything coming from the Trump administration during the same time period.
But, of course, the media does not care about that. With every story, their only concern is how it can best be used to hurt Trump.
That effort continues to this day, and it has now broadened to include not only Trump, but also his supporters.
Citing The Post piece, Mitchell asserted Monday that “there were a number of people in red states early on who didn’t heed the warnings to socially distance because they believed the president’s false comments.”
Instead of criticizing liberal politicians representing urban constituencies for not taking the virus as seriously as they should, she opted to focus on people living in “red states” instead.
But thus far, the hardest-hit areas have not been “red” areas — they’ve been liberal-run cities in states that are either predominantly run by Democrats or that have at least a Democratic governor.
There were roughly 423,135 confirmed coronavirus cases in the U.S. as of Wednesday afternoon, according to data from Johns Hopkins.
Of the 10 hardest-hit states, just two — Florida, No. 7, and Georgia, No. 10 — have Republican governors.
New York state, which is dominated by Democratic politicians, had a whopping 150,697 cases, or roughly 36 percent of the nationwide total.
As anyone who has looked at the media knows, it is biased against conservatism
Even when it would kill main stream media outlets (or their audience) to report the party line, they will report the party line. With only a few exceptions (and these seem to be made in order to bring in the errant conservative), the main stream media stays with the Democrat talking points.
Liberal media lets in Chinese propagandist to White House press briefings, tries to throw out conservatives
At Monday’s White House coronavirus task force press briefing, President Trump called on a reporter. She uttered, “Only last week, there were multiple flights coming from China full of medical supplies. Companies like Huawei and Alibaba have been donating to the United States, like 1.5 million N95 masks and also a lot of medical gloves, and much more medical supplies.”
The president smelled a con job. He stated, “Sounds like a statement more than a question,” followed by, “Are you cooperating with China?” She dithered. “Who are you working for, China?” Trump pressed. “Who are you with?”
The reporter said, “Um, no, I’m working for— Hong Kong Phoenix TV,” to which Trump inquired, “Who owns that? China?” Her reply: “It’s based in Hong Kong. It’s a privately owned company.”
Notice the dodge on the question. It turns out, according to Fox News, “Within minutes of the exchange in the briefing room, consultant Elliot Schwartz flagged that in 2018, a former Phoenix TV news director testified as part of an FCC filing that the outlet is essentially controlled by China’s Communist Propaganda Department, and follows a directive to not report positively on the United States.
“Specifically, that former TV news director, Chung Pong, remarked: ‘I know from personal experience that Phoenix TV‘s content is subject to the dictates of the leadership of the Central Communist Propaganda Department, Central Communist Overseas Propaganda Office, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs which often directly sent instructions to Phoenix Satellite TV.’”
Why would the main stream media outlets pull a Chinese propagandist into this?
Unless there is an ideological agreement between the main stream media and the Chinese Communist Party, why would they pull a woman into the press briefing who had previously produced propaganda for the CCP?
American media still using China’s bogus numbers on new Wuhan Coronavirus cases
Despite mountains of direct evidence the Chinese Communist Party lied about the number of cases and deaths from Wuhan coronavirus within its own borders, members of the United States media are still touting their fake data.

A week ago: a statement about hospital ships in New York Harbor
Rachel Maddow said “It is nonsense. No hospital ship will be in New York Harbor next week
Just a week ago (on the 20 March 2020 broadcast – with a hat tip to GOP War Room), Rachel Maddow said in a “breaking news” announcement on MSNBC:
In terms of the “happy talk” we’ve had on this front from the federal government, there is no sign that the Navy hospital ships that the President made such a big deal of, the Comfort and the Mercy — there’s no sign that there’ll be anywhere on site helping out anywhere in the country for weeks yet. The President said when he announced that those ships would be put into action against the Covid-19 epidemic, he said “One of those ships would be operational in New York Harbor by next week.”
New York City Mayor Bill De Blasio rejoiced upon the arrival of the USNS Comfort in New York Harbor on Monday. The ship brought medical staff as well as additional supplies to the city amid the coronavirus pandemic.
“There could not be a better example of all of America pulling for New York City tan the arrival of the USNS Comfort,” said the mayor.
The hospital ship will help lighten the burden on New York City’s medical community by treating patients who don’t have coronavirus aboard the ship. This will help free up space in local hospitals as they deal with a surge in COVID-19 cases.
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and President Donald Trump’s Treasury secretary haggled by phone throughout the day Thursday in a search for a compromise on emergency legislation to alleviate some of the economic pain of the escalating coronavirus outbreak.
A vote on a package of Democratic proposals, including emergency paid sick leave, enhanced unemployment benefits, and free coronavirus testing, was delayed while the negotiations went on. Pelosi and Steven Mnuchin talked five times as both sides looked for a way to get support in the Republican-controlled Senate and from the president.

During February, Pelosi visits SF Chinatown to show woke support during coronavirus fears
The following video from San Francisco CBS affiliate KPIX shows Speaker Pelosi disregarding social distancing and encouraging others to shop in an area that deals with products obtained from China.
Should any liberal read the above paragraph, the fact that the Wuhan coronavirus comes from China should give you pause when considering coming in contact with people who have been in China. However, it does not give you license to attack people from China. More specifically, it does not give you permission to attack Americans of Chinese heritage.

Of course, there are other quotes I could pull from
There are quotes from Bill De Blasio telling New Yorkers to go about life as usual (during mid-March). We have sound bites from health officials saying that the people of New York should use the subway, go to restaurants, and live life as usual. There are quotes from the Health commissioner of New Orleans saying that it was ok to go to Mardi Gras.
New Orleans Mayor LaToya Cantrell (D) signed a coronavirus emergency order last week allowing her to ban the sale and transportation of firearms.
She signed a follow-up proclamation on March 16, 2020, further emphasizing her emergency powers to “suspend or limit the sale, dispensing, or transportation, of alcoholic beverages.”
The declaration declaring the mayor’s power to restrict gun sales and transportation says she is “empowered, if necessary, to suspend or limit the sale of alcoholic beverages, firearms, explosives, and combustibles.”
On March 16, 2020, the Second Amendment Foundation responded to Cantrell’s claims of emergency powers over firearms by reminding her that they sued over Second Amendment infringement following Hurricane Katrina and will do so during the era of coronavirus if needed.
What could the reason for this ban be, other than symbolic?
This does not stop any law-abiding gun owner from protecting his or her property. However, it might keep a cash-strapped gun owner from paying his or her mortgage or rent in the event that there have been coronavirus-related layoffs. Additionally, it would prevent a law-abiding person from buying a firearm in a time of need.
However, there will be criminals in New Orleans with new guns. There may be coyotes selling an array of firearms not available legally and LaToya will not have a thing to say about it.
Still, now that she has pulled this little stunt, she will later produce a Mike-Bloomberg-esque commercial claiming that she stood up to the National Rifle Association.
Harris County Democrat Judge Lina Hidalgo restricts the operation of restaurants and closes bars
On Tuesday, bars closed in Harris County and restaurants switched to take-out, drive-through or delivery only. Those are just two of the big changes underway as officials try to slow to spread of COVID-19.
On Monday, Harris County Judge Lina Hidalgo, alongside Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner, announced the changes would take effect Tuesday morning and will be in place at least 15 days.
Since the county is under a public health emergency declaration, the county does have the authority to close down businesses, according to KHOU 11 legal analyst Gerald Treece.
“If the county deems that there is a health emergency, the county has the authority to close any establishment, including a bar,” Treece said. “You put the rules in neutral and general police power takes over. General police power: to protect the health, safety and welfare of the citizens of that jurisdiction.”
Can they do that? Harris Co. officials close bars, limit restaurants to slow COVID-19 spread. Tonight at 10, what t… twitter.com/i/web/status/1…
During this time, if a business refuses to comply, the county does have authority to fine an establishment and then take the owner to court to seek an injunction, which would shut a business down, according to Treece.
If there are widespread compliance issues, the National Guard could step in.
“They can prevent violence, they can enforce the law, including injunctions, including an order from the city or county,” Treece said.
Take this with a grain of salt, since this order comes from a left-wing ideologue
Before you come to the defense of this woman, remember that Houston Public Media pointed out that this little dictator also dedicated taxpayer funds to the creation of an illegal alien defense fund without any public input. On multiple occasions, she has spoken out against the border wall (a stance that has disappeared online now that the poll suggesting that Americans favor an open border has been discredited).
So, here you have a liberal who stands against the border wall (somewhat silently now), but builds borders around our bars and restaurants. She complains about equiity, but directs disaster-relief funds by skin color and not need. She wants to take from the rich (that is, anyone making over the median wage), but doesn’t mind making us all poor.
Although I do not support disobedience in this case, it seems that this liberal would stand much watching (just based on her track record). Remember, Jesus told us to be as innocent as doves and as wise as serpents.
Is this the new standard Democrat?
Previous Democrats issued subpoenas for pastors’ sermons, this one shuts down all churches with an order
Still, this blanket closing of all churches seems to be an overreach and the meeting of the goal imagined by Houston’s previous mayoral administration. Admittedly, as Christians, we must take into mind the needs of the least powerful among us. In this case, the least powerful would be those with compromised immune systems and the aged (which, depending on the person’s health, may vary from 65 to 85 as a in-risk group). The problem with just submitting to the whims of a dictatorial Millenial is, of course, that we may not be submitting to the will of God unless we submit the whole issue to prayer.
Additionally, in light of the following article, we have to ask whether we are praying to God or our own hubris.
Pride goes before destruction, And a haughty spirit before stumbling. (Proverbs 16:18 NASB)
Pure and undefiled religion in the sight of our God and Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their distress, and to keep oneself unstained by the world. (James 1:27 NASB)
Baton Rouge area pastor defies governor, welcomes large gathering into church service
The pastor, Rev. Tony Spell, says police showed up at the church after the service telling him the National Guard would break up any future gatherings that exceed 50 people.
However, Louisiana National Guard Colonel Ed Bush said Wednesday that is not accurate.
“The National Guard has not been tasked with enforcing any of the curfew, social distancing or meeting requirements as set by the governor,” Colonel Bush said. “Our focus right now is completely with helping state agencies with preparedness and medical readiness,” Bush added.
Numerous churches across the state have canceled services until further notice because of the governor’s proclamation, which he says aims to control the spread of the virus.
Harris Co. considers releasing inmates over COVID-19 concerns
According to Houston’s Fox affiliate, Democrat Sheriff Ed Gonzales wants to open the jails due to the coronavirus.
Jails and prisons can be breeding grounds for disease.
“We do have an aging population here we have several hundred that are above 55 years of age and also very sick,” said Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez.
With more than 8,000 inmates at Harris County Jail, social distancing is not possible.
“We operate in tight spaces,” the sheriff said. “So there’s not a lot of opportunity for social distancing.”
There have been no known cases of COVID-19 in the Harris County Jail, but that will likely change.
Remember, most inmates in the jail are pre-trial, meaning they have not been convicted of a crime.
“We are working on our compassionate releases that are smart, that make sense, that don’t put the community at harm,” Gonzalez said. “It’s important for us to balance this public health crisis with public safety. So we are working with our judges and other avenues to see how we could, in a smart way, release population, if it makes sense.”
“There are no cases of TDCJ in or connected to any TDCJ facility,” says TDCJ spokesman Jeremy Desel.
Take in mind I have blogged repeatedly about murderers being released on bail
On numerous occasions, I have blogged about the result of electing the social justice judges who continually let murderers and other violent criminals out on the streets based on their inability to pay for the bail bond that a sane justice system would require.
So, if these past blog posts warm your heart, get ready for more (thanks not only to the social justice District Attorney Kim Ogg and the social justice Democrat judges, but also the social justice Sheriff Ed Gonzalez).
Not to be outdone by Texas, New York Democrats release inmates
Mayor Bill de Blasio plans to release “vulnerable” inmates from city jails to prevent the spread of the coronavirus pandemic into local lockups, he said Wednesday.
“In the next 48 hours, we will identify any inmates who need to be brought out because of either their own health conditions — if they have any pre-existing conditions, etc. — or because the charges were minor and we think it’s appropriate to bring them out in this context,” de Blasio said on WCBS radio Wednesday evening.
“That said, we still need our criminal justice system to function,” he added.
As I observe the coronavirus panic, the disparity between liberal expectations and the reality they create becomes more evident
During the past few weeks, I have been watching the coverage of this coronavirus crisis (often observing how the newscasters seem to be treating the audience as imbeciles). Therefore, I have laid out the following observations that fall across this coronavirus crisis from various liberal slants and do not in the least make sense for the reasons that I also note.
The Expectations of Liberals:
Liberals say that we must trust certain portions of our main stream media.
The following paragraphs document five instances of fake news committed (by over 23 “news” organizations) that occurred during the first two weeks of March 2020.
CNN, the Washington Post, and other members of the main stream media first accused President Trump of lying about a Google-developed app to help those who have potentially contracted Covid-19 get tested. Then they had to correct their misinformation.
According to Breitbart, at least eight New York Times authors shared a deceptively edited quote Monday from President Donald Trump’s recent call with state governors, creating the false impression that the president is denying federal support for ventilators that are needed in hospitals treating coronavirus patients.
The Washington Post’s Jennifer Rubin appeared on MSNBC‘s Morning Joy where she suggested that there would be fewer Democrat deaths because they would follow the suggestions of experts offered through the media.(as reported by Breitbart). Elsewhere, similar assertions might be considered hate speech. (However, in related news, a Democrat lawyer who worked to prosecute the impeachment has tested positive for coronavirus.)
Democrat Representative Rashida Tlaib shared a tweet telling her followers “F**k the National Day of Prayer,” according to Breitbart.
Following the lines of logic provided by Jennifer Rubin on MSNBC‘s Morning Joy, liberals expect people to submit to the purportedly more accurate and responsible ideas concerning “the truth.”
A recent article by Daily Caller, we are reminded that the WHO told us to not worry because China told us the coronavirus was not contagious. Now those same “experts” are credibly being cited by both the press and Joe Biden.
The following are some tweets and responses from conservative people on Twitter. Because the tweets of such people tend to be either shadow banned or deleted, I included both links to the original tweets and screen captures of the tweets.
