Republicans fight back against Biden’s dirty tactics

Biden “informs” states of how many Afghan refugees they will take, Republicans say “No”

One America News Network reports that the Republican Study Committee will fight Biden’s Afghan resettlement program.

The Republican Study Committee unveiled a plan to fight Joe Biden’s program to quickly resettle tens of thousands of Afghan refugees into the U.S. In a memo on Wednesday, the RSC said Biden’s plan was dangerous and extended as well as an open border approach to immigration policies.

RSC Chair Rep. Jim Banks (R-Ind.) pointed out the Biden administration requested $6.4 billion to fly any unvetted Afghan national into the U.S. by the end of the next fiscal year. He added the Democrats’ request included lifetime welfare and a path to citizenship for said Afghans.

“The Biden administration wants billions of dollars to fund unlimited green cards for unvetted Afghans,” Banks expressed in a tweet. “Opening our borders to a Taliban-run nation with the promise of lifetime welfare and citizenship for their extended family is reckless and dangerous.”

This needs to be ongoing. Moreover, this needs to be just as dirty as the Democrats have made it.

Biden directs life-saving monoclonal antibody COVID treatments from Florida and Texas to states in the North

Townhall comments on the way Biden directed half of the monoclonal antibody treatments sent to Florida and Texas away from those states.

After President Biden attacked Republican governors in an address on Thursday, White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki denied reports that Biden was cutting lifesaving Wuhan coronavirus treatments to red states.

Reports that the Biden administration is reducing the quantity of monoclonal antibody treatments sent to Florida and Texas, among other states with Republican governors, are “not accurate,” Psaki said.

“First of all, we are increasing our distribution this month by 50 percent,” she explained. “In early August we were distributing an average of 100,000 doses per week, now we’re shipping an average of 150,000 doses per week,” Psaki added.

Biden lies about misdirecting treatments from Florida and Texas while he sends infected illegal aliens and Afghans into those states

Townhall likewise comments in a separate article on Biden’s redirecting of the monoclonal antibody treatments for COVID patients.

In remarks from the White House on Thursday — billed as “Remarks on Leveling the Playing Field in Our Economy to Bring Down Costs and Ensure that the Backbone of the Country, the Middle Class, Can Finally get a Break” — quickly turned vindictive as Biden repeated his attacks on Republican-led states.

“The governors of Florida and Texas are doing everything they can to undermine the lifesaving requirements that I have proposed,” Biden said repeating a line of attack he first used in a non sequitur speech on the Wuhan coronavirus as his failed Afghan airlift was underway.

Biden’s blind partisanship is, unsurprisingly, based in fantasy. Republican governors in Florida and Texas have pursued measures that ban mask mandates — which is different than an outright ban on masks, despite the lies peddled by Biden and other Democrats — while President Biden is the one who is undermining life-saving measures in those states. In what appears to be petty political maneuvering, Biden is putting American lives at risk. This development is somewhat unsurprising given he’s also left Americans stranded behind Taliban lines in Afghanistan, but it’s disturbing nonetheless.

As has been reported by officials in Florida, the Biden administration blindsided Florida’s health officials by restricting the supply of monoclonal antibody treatments without warning.

Do you want to know where the COVID problem starts? It starts with the flood of illegals invited or shipped into America by Biden

Despite Biden’s FAA banning drones over the Texas open-air border facilities, the footage and on-the-ground reports reveal that up to 12,000 Hatians per day have been flooding the Southern border.

The Federal Aviation Administration has placed a two-week flight restriction along a bridge at the southern border inundated with thousands of illegal immigrants, which prevents reporters from flying drones to document the crisis.

“We’ve learned that the FAA just implemented a two week TFR (Temporary Flight Restrictions) over the international bridge in Del Rio, TX, meaning we can no longer fly our FOX drone over it to show images of the thousands of migrants. FAA says ‘special security reason,’” Fox News reporter Bill Melugin tweeted Thursday evening.

DeSantis goes directly to antibody manufacturer. Will “fight like hell”

Tampa Bay Fox affiliate WTVT reports that Governor DeSantis will work around Biden’s removal of the life-saving treatment from the state.

While Florida looks to round the corner on administering 100,000 monoclonal antibody treatments to people with COVID-19, Gov. Ron DeSantis pledged Thursday to “fight like hell” to continue receiving the treatments as the federal government this week took control over distribution of the drugs.

The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services on Monday reported on its website that the agency has “transitioned from a direct ordering process to a state/territory-coordinated distribution system,” saying that the change will give “health departments maximum flexibility to get these critical drugs where they are needed most.”

A handful of states, including Florida, have obtained the bulk of the treatments available thus far, according to White House officials.

But the federal health agency now is allocating a weekly distribution “based on weekly reports of new COVID-19 cases and hospitalizations in addition to data on inventories and use” submitted by states to the federal government, HHS officials said.

Florida this week will be capped at receiving 27,850 doses of the monoclonal antibody treatment Regeneron and 3,100 doses of treatments developed by pharmaceutical company Eli Lilly, according to federal health officials.

Governor Abbott orders six ports of entry closed by Texas State Troopers

Austin CBS affiliate KENS points out that Texas Governor Greg Abbott has commanded the Texas State Troopers to close ports of entry to Texas.

Gov. Greg Abbott said Thursday that he has directed state troopers and the Texas National Guard “to shut down six points of entry along the southern border” at the request of U.S. Customs and Border Protection.

But a CBP spokesperson said the federal government — which operates ports of entry at the U.S.-Mexico border — has no plans to shut down any ports of entry.

“I have directed the Department of Public Safety and the Texas National Guard to surge personnel and vehicles to shut down six points of entry along the southern border to stop these [migrant] caravans from overrunning our state,” Abbott said in an emailed statement. “The border crisis is so dire that the U.S. Customs and Border Protection is requesting our help as their agents are overwhelmed by the chaos.”

Renae Eze, Abbott’s spokesperson, added that the state “is shutting down the ports of entry at the request of and in collaboration with CBP.”

Dennis Smith, the CBP spokesperson, said the agency has received no directive from the federal government to shut down ports of entry.

“I couldn’t comment on anything the governor said, I don’t have any information on that,” Smith said.

The Department of Public Safety didn’t respond to a request for comment about Abbott’s directive.

Abbott’s announcement comes as thousands of asylum-seeking migrants — most of them from Haiti — are waiting under an international bridge in Del Rio, to be processed to enter the country, according to Val Verde County Sheriff Joe Frank Martinez.

While there may not be communication between Abbott’s Texas Troopers and the Biden’s Border Patrol, there is a history. When Abbott had DPS stop illegal aliens being transported from the border, Biden sued. When Abbott signed a law protecting babies from abortion after a heartbeat can be heard, Biden sues.

  1. The American Immigration Council boasts of working to “strengthen America by shaping how America thinks about and acts towards immigrants and immigration and by working toward a more fair and just immigration system that opens its doors to those in need of protection and unleashes the energy and skills that immigrants bring.”

Note: “… shaping how America thinks …” A lot of people might think of this as brainwashing (worst case) or propaganda (best case) — neither of which is good for the United States, its several states, or its people. On the Council website, they complain that the number of refugees admitted to the US under the Trump administration was severely curtailed, which makes sense, of course, because Trump announced his “America first” policy.

Of possible additional interest, the United States relies upon the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees to help decide how many the US will accept and where they will be distributed. To what extent there is any coordination with the governors of “receiving” states, I do not know. What I do know is that, as a citizen of a state, no one has asked me what I think. And we might wonder why the UN is involved in our domestic plans and policies.

The issue of refugees is one of a humanitarian nature, which appears to get all of our official’s attention. But when these people arrive on our shores, do we know who they are, what they believe, and how enthusiastic they are about assimilating American culture? My guess is that if they truly do fear for their lives, they would be happy to go to any location where people aren’t trying to cut off their heads. But what about Americans? Large unemployment numbers on the domestic scene would seem to suggest to a rational person that the US can ill-afford to bring in tens of thousands of refugees, no matter what their concerns might be. At some point, Americans should matter. At some point, a rational person might conclude that there are limited opportunities for camel drivers and goat herders. Although I suppose there are opportunities for bomb makers and knife sharpeners.

Finally, my point: This is just another area of government authority where most of us remain completely ignorant — which is what the federal government prefers. And besides, it’s probably none of our business. As the courts would say, “You Americans have no standing.” Somehow, I don’t have a lot of confidence in the GOP fighting back with memos.
