  1. Christian School Hit with SWAT-Style Raid, CA Demands They Allow Sexual Exploration or Be Shut Down

According to a 7 June 2019 Christian Broadcasting Network article, one California Christian school has been subjected to over-the-top oppression by way of the educational bureaucracy of California.

arthurjohnson

A Christian school in California is facing a huge battle with the state.

Pacific Justice Institute (PJI) is representing River View Christian Academy in northern California. The school was raided earlier in the year, SWAT style, by the state.

According to PJI, the raid was carried out by 16 armed law enforcement from California Highway Patrol, two canine units and 17 social workers. Students and staff were horrified by the sudden and unexpected attack.

teenrescuelogo_si

The state was misled into thinking that the school was harboring illegal drugs, amassing ammunition, and preparing for doomsday.

RVCA works under the ministry Teen Rescue, which has offered programs for struggling teenagers in need of full-time supervision and redirection since 1989. Students are taught to focus on their education, change destructive behavior and strive for success.

Even though results from the raid did not uncover any apocalyptic, end-times type of scenario, the state has not stopped and is fining the school daily with claims of improper licensing.

The state is now saying that, due to recent legislation, it is no longer possible for a private boarding school to operate without a considerable amount of licensing and oversight by the Department of Social Services.

With the increase in licensing, the Christian school would have to abandon their biblical values. The state requires that licensed facilities allow students to have the right to engage in spiritual and sexual exploration, which contradicts the standards set by RVCA and the morals of many parents, the Pacific Justice Institute said.

PJI attorney Kevin Snider says the school is being targeted because it’s part of a ministry for at-risk youth.

Liberals, explain to me why California needs to send in a SWAT team to force LGBTQ sex education on a Christian school.

For all of the people who march for inmates on death row and justify all sorts of actions “for the children,” how do you justify this?

  1. WA Supreme Court Doubles Down to Punish Christian Florist, Despite What US Supreme Court Ruled

We find through a 7 June 2019 Christian Broadcast Network article that the case of Baronelle Stutzman has returned to the SCOTUS queue. Now that the U.S. Supreme Court has ruled against the state and the “progressives” in the Washington state courts have maintained that they did not act with prejudice against Baronelle Stutzman, now the Supreme Court gets to weigh the case a second time.

arlenes_flowers

The case of a Washington state florist who was fined for refusing to make a floral arrangement for a gay wedding in 2013 could go back to the US Supreme Court.

On Thursday, the Washington state Supreme Court stood by its earlier ruling against Baronelle Stutzman, owner of Arlene’s Flowers.

As CBN News reported last year, the US Supreme Court had rejected Washington’s previous ruling, ordering the state justices to review their decision against Stutzman and consider whether they violated her religious rights.

“We now hold that the answer to the Supreme Court’s question is no,” Washington Supreme Court justices decided on Thursday. “The adjudicatory bodies that considered this case did not act with religious animus when they ruled that the florist and her corporation violated the Washington Law Against Discrimination … by declining to sell wedding flowers to a gay couple.”

Stutzman’s case is similar to that of the 2018 Masterpiece Cakeshop case, in which Colorado baker Jack Phillips was accused of discrimination for refusing to bake a customized wedding cake for a gay wedding.

Like Stutzman, Phillips offered to sell the couple his pre-made products. Like Stutzman, he had also provided previous service to LGBT individuals. But they both say their faith prevents them from creating art that specifically endorses same-sex weddings.

The Supreme Court ruled in Phillips’ favor because it said the Colorado Civil Rights Commission acted with animus towards Phillip’s religious beliefs and was in the wrong. However, critics of the decision argued that the Supreme Court’s ruling was too narrow, and did not ultimately answer if Phillips can be compelled to produce a product for a customer in violation of his religious beliefs.

The US Supreme Court asked the state court to review Stutzman’s case again to make sure it did not act with religious animus towards her in its ruling.

The state court said Supreme Court gave “full and fair consideration” of Stutzman’s case without “animus toward religion.”

“They did not act with religious animus when they ruled that such discrimination is not privileged or excused by the United States Constitution or the Washington Constitution,” Thursday’s ruling said.

Now the US Supreme Court has the opportunity to review Stutzman’s case once again to finally settle the unanswered questions about religious freedom in Phillips’ case.

Meanwhile, Stutzman’s attorneys say Washington state did target her unfairly for her faith, pointing to another instance in which the state ignored discrimination against Christian clients, creating a double standard.

(Read more at the Christian Broadcast Network)

That this can be debated for a third time in the halls of the Supreme Court while the First Amendment still reads: “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof …” while the state of Washington levies its fines on this person’s religious freedom seems quite a contradiction.

  1. A shift in who is worshiped may drive persecution of Christians

Allie Stuckey: Society Has ‘Exchanged the God of Scripture for the God of Self’

In a recap of a presentation at the Young Woman’s Leadership Conference, an interesting perspective of Allie Stuckey has been related through a 7 June 2019 Breitbart article that tells us that America has exchanged the God of Scripture for the god of self.

Allie-Stuckey

Conservative commentator Allie Stuckey spoke at TPUSA’s Young Women’s Leadership Summit Friday afternoon and deconstructed society’s embrace of godless narcissism.

Stuckey told the large crowd of young conservatives that women are “probably the most targeted group by deception than any other group” in the country.

We are told in a very dogmatic and bullying way that– not just to be a good person, not just to be a decent human being, but to be a woman– you’ve got to be a die-hard feminist. You’ve got to be for on-demand abortion. You’ve got to be for the radical leftist feminist agenda, or else you’re not a female at all.

She said many women have been fooled by one monstrous lie: “That you are all that matters.”

Far too many women have been sucked into society’s embrace of what Stuckey dubbed “trendy narcissism.”

“We are told that the only thing that matters is that you love yourself,” she said.

“We’re told that there are no rules. There are no principles. There are no standards that you have to abide by,” she continued.

This belief, Stuckey says, is fundamentally flawed and partially responsible for the current state of cultural decline. It is incredibly difficult to have a civil debate with people who have essentially become their own gods, Stuckey said.

When you believe that you are the center of your universe, you believe that you are your own god. And if you believe that you are your own god, that means you determine your own truth– that you determine your own morality, that you determine your own purpose.

“When everything is subjective, things get very confusing,” she added.

Subjective truth is one of the main issues in the modern era, she said. She pressed that too many women have based their reality on their own version of truth, part of which is the mass embrace of selfishness– a hallmark of the feminist left.

“If you live as if your only purpose is yourself– your only purpose is making yourself happy– you will end up lonely and miserable,” Stuckey said.

I believe that Ms. Stuckey has hit a chord that would explain why America has been singing the tune it has held onto for the past few years.

  1. 85-Year-Old Widow Forced Out of Apartment Due to Religious Activities

A 5 June 2019 Christian Broadcasting Network article informs us of an 85-year-old widow who was forced from the apartment that she had been living in for 14 years because she had been sharing her faith and offering to pray for people.

elderlyreadingbible_hdv

The state of California is investigating a case in which an elderly widow was reportedly forced to leave her apartment due to her religious convictions and advanced age.

Diana Martin had lived at the Windgate Village Apartments in Hanford for nearly 14 years. Back in February, the 85-year-old was told by the owner John Draxler that she was being evicted. Draxler also serves as the city’s vice-mayor.

Even though Martin had months remaining on her year-to-year lease and her rent was fully paid, the Pacific Justice Institute says Draxler cited her religious activities—sharing her faith and offering to pray for people—as reasons why she must find a new home.

The owner knew Martin was recovering from severe health problems. When she began to cry, protesting that it was winter and she had no children living nearby, Draxler reportedly told her that was not his problem.

During a follow-up conversation with Martin’s son, Draxler allegedly repeated the religious objection about Martin and her age. The widow had moved to the apartments because they had been marketed as senior living dwellings.

Draxler purchased the apartment complex a few years ago and has reportedly brought in younger tenants, removing older ones. Martin reluctantly moved out of her apartment. She then contacted the Pacific Justice Institute (PJI) for help.

PJI attorneys were astonished at what they found. Besides the discriminatory reasons offered for the eviction, PJI says the notice given to Martin was clearly defective as to its timing. After talks stalled with Draxler, PJI filed a discrimination charge with the California Department of Fair Employment and Housing.

Add=itionally, I read in a Fox News article that Ms. Martin is a widow of a veteran and had been forced out of a community of similarly-aged widows of vets.

  1. U.S. Bishops Call for ‘Religious Freedom’ in Face of Persecution

Breitbart tells us in a 1 June 2019 article how U.S. Catholic bishops have reacted against the federal Equality Act, state laws restricting religious adoption agencies, and worldwide persecution.

Bible

The United States Bishops are calling for prayer and action “in support of religious liberty at home and abroad” during Religious Freedom Week, which will run from June 22 to June 29.

“Catholics face challenges both in our current political climate of polarization and within the Church,” said Archbishop Joseph Kurtz of Louisville, Kentucky, the chairman of the Bishops’ Committee for Religious Liberty. “Christian child welfare institutions and Catholics in public life are encountering significant obstacles to their work, while our brothers and sisters in places like Nigeria suffer violent persecution.”

In referring to problems “Christian child welfare institutions” face, Archbishop Kurtz was referencing numerous recent legal conflicts regarding Christian adoption and foster care facilities whose traditional understanding of the family has not yielded to contemporary attempts to redefine marriage and family.

Last December, for example, New Hope Family Services, an evangelical Christian adoption agency in Upstate New York, came under fire from child-welfare officials who insisted that New Hope had to agree to place children with same-sex couples, contrary to its religious beliefs and decades-old policies.

The bishops have declared:

Boston, San Francisco, the District of Columbia, and the state of Illinois have driven local Catholic Charities out of the business of providing adoption or foster care services—by revoking their licenses, by ending their government contracts, or both—because those Charities refused to place children with same-sex couples or unmarried opposite-sex couples who cohabit.

The bishops have also stated that the Equality Act being pushed by the Democrat party, which would add the terms “sexual orientation” and “gender identity” to the definition of sex in federal civil rights laws, “would devastate the core ministries of a wide range of religious groups, especially those ministries that serve the most vulnerable.”

Kurtz’s mention of “violent persecution” of Christians in Nigeria referred to the slaughter of hundreds of Christians by Islamist radicals in north central Nigeria in the first months of 2019. Despite a mainstream media blackout of the massacres, Fulani jihadists went on a killing spree of Christians, murdering more than 120 in just three weeks and leaving scores more injured.

The United States bishops have called religious liberty “our first, most cherished liberty,” and have said that it is “among the proudest boasts of the Church on these shores.”

The Trump administration has also made a point of restoring conscience protections to religious believers. The president declared January 16, 2018, “Religious Freedom Day” and pledged his ongoing defense of religious liberty.

Seeing that the freedom of religion is named in the Bill of Rights and LGBTQ+ rights (which seem to expand by the day) are not, it would seem that the law on this would be easily settled.

  1. Purdue PhD Student Claims He Was Forced Out of Program for His Christian Faith

Breitbart reports in a 24 May 2019 article regarding a Christian who claims he was forced our of a Purdue program due to his faith.

Students-praying

A former Ph.D. candidate at Purdue University claims that he was forced out of the program for his Christian faith.

In a column for The College Fix, Corey Miller explains how he was forced to leave his Ph.D. program at Purdue University by peers and faculty members who taunted him over his Christian faith.

Miller recalled receiving prank phone calls in the early morning hours. When he picked up the phone, Miller heard his classmates mocking him for his Christian faith. The next semester, a leftist professor accused him of having several mental illnesses.

I entered the PhD philosophy program at Purdue University in 2004. Six weeks in I was shocked that I was receiving prank calls at 3 in the morning from fellow grad students. They were mocking me for my faith. The next semester I recall receiving a permanent note in my file from a Marxist professor who claimed I was schizophrenic. While he was not a clinical psychologist capable of judging me schizophrenic, he believed religion was the opiate of the masses and that my beliefs were delusional.

As we often see, the most educated people can also be the most bigoted. Sadly, they will refuse to see their own biases.

  1. Pete Buttigieg’s Pastor Brother-in-Law Blasts ‘False Narrative’ in WaPo Report Smearing Him as ‘Bigot’

The Christian Broadcast Network demonstrates in a 24 May 2019 article how the press wants to paint all Christians as bigots.

Standing in the living room of his home — the same space in which he recently led his middle brother Dustin to Christ — Rhyan Glezman, brother-in-law to Pete Buttigieg, lamented the “unfortunate” way a journalist for The Washington Post crafted a recent story that made him seem “homophobic.”

Several weeks ago, sitting in his office at Clio Community Church in Michigan, Rhyan said his phone rang. It was a reporter from the Post eager to talk with him about his brother Chasten’s marriage to the popular 2020 Democratic presidential hopeful.

“I actually talked with them for about 35-40 minutes, shared the whole story,” Rhyan, a pastor, told Faithwire during a phone interview Thursday afternoon. “They took a couple little quotes out of that whole 40 minutes and it obviously was to fit their narrative, just to be honest.”

The 34-year-old minister, who told the Post he is opposed to same-sex marriage, said he felt like the journalist, Ellen McCarthy, was trying to make him come across to readers “like a bigot.”

Rhyan reached out to Faithwire Thursday morning, asking to “talk about the full story that the Washington Post left out.” And according to him, the story the outlet “left out” is quite different from the one McCarthy wrote.

While Chasten recalled to McCarthy a journey fraught with alienation and shame, Rhyan remembers something entirely different. The 29-year-old political spouse said there was a lot of judgement when he came out as gay to his family, claiming to remember one of his brothers uttering, “No brother of mine …” during the conversation with his mom and dad, both of whom are nominally Catholic and were, according to Rhyan, very accepting of Chasten’s orientation. Chasten told McCarthy his parents eventually embraced him.

“That was a long time ago, but that’s not what I would say. That’s not my character, that’s not my brother’s character,” Rhyan said. “Nobody ever rejected him at all. … I would say they embraced him even deeper.”

Chasten also told the Post he was homeless for a season — a claim Rhyan vehemently rebuffed, saying his brother was “never, ever” rejected.

This will only be reported through the mainstream press when it fits their agenda (or when they let pieces of the truth slip out).

  1. Change Your Faith, or Else: Nancy Pelosi’s ‘Equality Act’ Will Make Religious Freedom Less Equal

How the ‘Equality Act’ lifts Transgender Rights and Homosexual Rights over Women’s Rights and the First Amendment

The Democrat agenda has mapped out a conflict between sexual identity and a number of other elements of American society, as reported by the Christian Broadcasting Network in a 9 May 2019 article.

Just days before the midterm elections, now House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) vowed from Harvard University to make passing the “Equality Act” one of her top legislative priorities — and she wasn’t bluffing.

The House Judiciary Committee voted last week to advance the deceptively named “Equality Act,” which, according to the conservative legal nonprofit Alliance Defending Freedom, “gives people of faith an ultimatum: Change your faith-based practices or face government punishment.”

If the proposal is approved — which isn’t out of the question, given it has 240 co-sponsors — the 1964 Civil Rights Act and the Fair Housing Act would both be amended to prohibit discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation and gender identity in employment, housing, public accommodations, public education, federal funding and the jury system.

The bill would, among a whole host of other things, reverse the Trump administration’s effort to protect employers who object to covering abortion services on religious grounds, a shift away from a controversial policy advanced by the Obama White House.

Actually, this proposed law lifts LGBTQ+ rights over both free speech and religious rights.

  1. Are Buttigieg’s rants against Pence a preview of Democrat treatment of Christians?

Although John Nolte titles his 8 May 2019 article “Mean Little Mayor Pete Buttigieg Is Terrible at Christianity”, I would suggest that Buttigieg’s treatment of V.P. Pence provides us a preview of the treatment in store for Christians should “Mayor Pete” become President or Vice President.

Read the first portion (or use the link to the entire article)

Pete-Buttigieg

Mean Little Pete Buttigieg is so terrible at Christianity he reminds me of a sitcom character, secular Hollywood’s version of a pious prig who continues to put his foot in his own sanctimonious mouth. Actually, he reminds me of Frank Burns. All that’s missing is the laugh track.

This is what he told the Today Show Monday.

I think it’s also important that we stop seeing religion used as a kind of cudgel as if God belonged to a political party. If he did, I can’t imagine it would be the one that sent the current president into the White House.

In the first sentence, the Mean Little Mayor says religion should not be used as a cudgel, and in the next sentence he turns religion into baseball bat spiked with poison nails to bludgeon President Trump with.

This isn’t the first time Buttigieg has pulled this clumsily transparent rhetorical trick. Check this out from last month:

I’m reluctant to comment on another person’s faith, but I would say it is hard to look at this president’s actions and believe that they’re the actions of somebody who believes in God. I just don’t understand how you can be as worshipful of your own self as he is and be prepared to humble yourself before God. I’ve never seen him humble himself before anyone.

I’m reluctant to comment on another person’s faith, but let me spend the next four weeks calling everyone a terrible Christian except for me, cuz I’m an amazing Christian who lives like Jesus — and, hey, remember that time Jesus told all those lies about Mike Pence?

Buttigieg fancies himself a Christian, and I’m not here to examine what’s in his heart, his sincerity is unknowable, but he is terrible at practicing the Faith. I mean, truly terrible. Christians are supposed to strive to be like Christ and while we all fall short, through his actions Buttigieg has proven himself to be a lying bully and a total prick.

Did Christ tell Buttigieg to lie about Vice President Mike Pence, a lie so brazen even the phony fact checkers at the Washington Post could not find a way to make it true?

(Read more at Breitbart)

I think you will find Buttigieg’s current diatribes against Pence to be a foreshadowing of how he will treat other Christians. Hopefully, we won’t have to find out what a Buttigieg regime would be like.

  1. Yale Law School Pulls Funding from Students Working with Christian Organizations

Considering that Yale and other Ivy League universities were set up to train preachers for America, the 2 April 2019 report from Breitbart telling us that Yale has effectively made it impossible for students who work with Christian organizations to finish their degrees really disappoints.

Yale-Law-Sterling-Building

Yale University has decided to pull funding from students who work with Christian non-profit legal organizations including the Alliance Defending Freedom.

According to a report from The Federalist, Yale Law School announced a new policy in March that will effectively pull funding from students who work with Christian public interest groups. At law schools around the country, students that work for non-profit legal organizations are often eligible for a stipend from their university. This practice encourages students to pursue noble non-profit work despite the lack of pay.

Earlier this year, one of Yale University’s LGBT groups demanded that the law school pull financial support from students who work with Christian public interest groups like the Alliance Defending Freedom (ADF). The push came in the aftermath of a campus event featuring an attorney from ADF who spoke about the Masterpiece Cakeshop case in which a Christian baker was asked to bake a cake for a same-sex wedding.

Federalist contributor and Yale Law School student Aaron Haviland reported on Monday that Yale had caved to the demands of the students. On March 25, the school announced that students who work with organizations that allegedly discriminate based on LGBTQ identity.

On March 25, one month after the controversy, Yale Law School announced via email that it was extending its nondiscrimination policy to summer public interest fellowships, postgraduate public interest fellowships, and loan forgiveness for public interest careers. The school will no longer provide financial support for students and graduates who work at organizations that discriminate on the basis of “sexual orientation and gender identity and expression.”

Haviland argues that the new policy allows Yale to discriminate against Christian public interest groups. He points out that the ACLU, which defends abortion rights, is not impacted by the new policy.

Again, the most educated show their propensity toward their own bogotry.

  1. New York Times Wants to ‘Expose Christian Schools’

According to a 25 January 2019 Breitbart article, the New York Times briefly wanted to expose Christian schools (until they deleted all their tweets on the subject and pretended they never took those bigoted steps).

christian-children-pray

New York Times reporter Dan Levin is asking Twitter users who attended Christian schools to share their experiences using the hashtag #exposechristianschools:

I’m a New York Times reporter writing about #exposechristianschools. Are you in your 20s or younger who went to a Christian school? I’d like to hear about your experience and its impact on your life. Please DM me.

— Dan Levin (@globaldan) January 24, 2019

Levin tweeted that he wants “to hear about all experiences, including positive stories/impact about your time in school,” implying that likely most responses to the hashtag would be negative:

Many Twitter users have been calling out the bigotry behind the hashtag – which self-proclaimed “exvangelical” writer Chris Stroop takes credit for creating:

As the Daily Caller observed, the heightened hostility toward Christians on the social media platform comes in the wake of left-wing activists’ condemnation of watercolor artist Karen Pence, wife of Vice President Mike Pence, who returned to teach art recently at the Immanuel Christian School, which holds and teaches Christian beliefs about human sexuality and traditional marriage between one man and one woman:

(Read more at Breitbart)

Note: Levin’s tweet was deleted before 1 February.

With the abuses from various Christian leaders (now highlighted in the Catholic hierarchy, formerly with other denominations), it seems that this guy was set to take down the church.

From his reaction, it seems he wasn’t ready for thr truth.

  1. LGBTQ Caucus thought they killed the ‘Save Chick-Fil-A’ Bill in Texas

Giving to the Salvation Army, FCA, & a youth house are unforgivable sins to LGBTQ groups

Although conservative forces were able to regroup after this article was written and pass the measure that once seemed doomed, this article shows the level of animus against Christians in the LGBTQ+ caucus.

Showing their ire against Chick-Fil-A (who the LGBTQ lobbies have banned from the San Antonio airport due to the company’s donations to the Salvation Army, a youth house, and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes), LGBTQ groups worked in the Texas legislature to prevent the state from keeping cities from abusing companies of their religious rights.

Nothing matches quite as well as Democrats and liberal, anti-Christian discrimination.

The newly formed LGBTQ Caucus killed a religious freedom bill in the Texas House of Representatives on Thursday, which was crafted in response to the San Antonio City Council banning Chick-fil-A from its International Airport over “anti-LGBTQ behavior.”

Republican Texas state Rep. Michael Krause sponsored the “Save Chick-fil-A” bill (or House Bill 3172) to protect “religious beliefs and moral convictions, including beliefs and convictions regarding marriage.” The legislation would have “prohibited adverse actions by government” based on support or membership of religious organizations.

Democratic state Rep. Julie Johnson, one of the five members on the LGBTQ Caucus, used a parliamentary action to delay, then ultimately kill the bill.

“Bills like this are hurtful. They cause pain,” Johnson told CNN Friday. “We can’t allow religion to be a cover for discrimination.”

Krause defended the legislation in April, stating that “it protects Ben & Jerry’s as much as it protects Chick-fil-A.”

“The government should not be penalizing, should not taking adverse action against you for your belief on a marriage,” he further noted during a public committee hearing.

(Read more at the Daily Caller)

evn though this article shows the animus against Christians by the LGBTQ+ caucus, we can take comfort in knowing that the Save Chick-Fil-A Bill passed and was signed into law.

  1. ‘Every American’s Right’: Christian Farmers Fight Back After Being Banned for Biblical Marriage Beliefs

The Christian Broadcast Network reports in a 11 April 2019 article on a group of Christian farmers who have resisted after they were banned from the farmer’s market for maintaining Biblical beliefs.

A pair of Christian farmers who were banned from their local farmers market in 2016 for choosing not to host a gay wedding on their personal farm are taking their battle to court this week.

Steve and Bridget Tennes, owners of Country Mill Farms, are asking for a permanent court order forcing the city of East Lansing, Michigan to let them sell their products at the city’s farmer’s market.

The Alliance Defending Freedom (ADF) will represent the Tennes family in court this Friday. According to ADF, the City of Lansing blocked the Christian family from selling their products after reading on the Country Mill Farms’ Facebook page that they support biblical marriage and will not allow LGBTQ weddings in their orchards.

“Our family farm here is very personal to us,” Steve Tennes said in a statement on the ADF website. “One of the things we really enjoy about our family farm here is (that) we are able to raise our five children here at the farm in accordance with our faith.”

In 2017, a federal judge issued a preliminary order forcing the city to allow the Tennes family to participate in the farmers market and said the city most likely violated their religious and free speech rights.

According to NBC News, East Lansing Mayor Mark Meadows said that temporary ruling only covered the 2017 market season. Meadows also said the city opposes the Tennes’ “corporate decision-making,” not their religious beliefs.

“This doesn’t have anything to do with Mr. Tennes,” Meadows said. “This has to do with the business.”

ADF Legal Counsel Kate Anderson strongly disagrees.

“All Americans should be free to live and speak according to their deeply held religious beliefs without fear of government punishment,” said Anderson. “Yet East Lansing officials changed their market policy to shut out Steve Tennes because they don’t like his Catholic beliefs regarding marriage. Courts have repeatedly rejected these types of practices as unconstitutional discrimination.”

The Story of the Christian-hating liberal and the transgender

DevonEricksonTweet

OneNewsNow provided some insights to the boy who hated Christians.

More details are starting to come out about the two teenage shooters who took a life and injured eight others this week at a Colorado high school, but some details might get dropped from the typical news story.

Just before 2 p.m. on May 7, Devon Erickson (pictured at right) and accomplice Maya McKinney allegedly walked into the Highlands Ranch STEM school with two loaded handguns and began firing before they were tackled.

kendrick-castillo_280x175

One well-deserved post-shooting story describes the heroism of Kendrick Castillo (pictured below), an 18-year-old senior who helped tackle Erickson and thus helped end the shooting, paying for his courage with his own life.

Two others joined Castillo in stopping Erickson, and an unnamed private security guard is credited with subduing McKinney, The Associated Press reported.

But what about the two shooters themselves? Are they MAGA hat-wearing white supremacists? NRA members?

And why did they do it? Were they inspired by President Trump? By the tea party? By a Fox News host?

News website The American Conservative, which has been following the shooting, points out Erickson’s white car that was towed from his home was spray-painted with “666” and a Pentagram, and the words “fu– society” were spray-painted on its side.

On his Facebook page, Erickson complained in a 2014 post that he hates “all these Christians who hate gays” for their biblical views.

The same story notes that law enforcement authorities misidentified the accomplice as a male when the “he” is a she who claims to be transgender and is transitioning from “Maya” to “Alec.”

American Conservative writer Rod Dreher then writes:

Watch the coverage over the next few days. It hardly needs saying — but I’m going to say it anyway — that these alleged killers do not represent all gays, allies, or non-Christians, any more than Christians or Muslims who shoot up or bomb places represent all in their religion. But it’s going to be very, very interesting to observe how the media craft this narrative to explain what role the identities these two suspects embraced played in justifying their violent actions.

When I blog, I generally include short comments on the words of main stream media (this way, the main stream media’s words can be used to prove my point). When main stream media refuses (as it increasingly does) to comment on a conservative topic, I use media outlets like Fox, One America News Network, the Christian Broadcasting Network, and similar outlets.

Once again, the American main stream media has largely proven itself lacking in anything but a desire to follow the liberal agenda of the day.

  1. Elderly Pro-Life Woman’s Amazing Christian Response to Attacker Who Broke Her Leg: ‘I’m Forgiving Her’

prolifeprotester_hdv

The Christian Broadcast Network tells in a 10 May 2019 article of a woman who was received a broken leg for protesting abortion.

A 31-year-old woman from Louisville has been charged with second-degree assault after she allegedly shoved an elderly pro-life activist to the ground outside Kentucky’s only abortion clinic.

But the victim, 82-year-old pro-life activist Donna Durning, told the Louisville Courier Journal she has forgiven her alleged attacker, Janaya Alyce Gregory, and is asking others to pray for her.

“I believe that the lady who caused this injury needs prayers,” Durning said, “and I’m forgiving her and I would hope that people would also pray for her.”

Gregory, for her part, pleaded not guilty last week to the incident, which took place April 12 outside the EMW Women’s Surgical Center, according to court documents.

As a result of the assault, Durning sustained a broken femur. She required surgery and rehabilitation in order to recover from the incident. Durning said she is confident “God is watching over me.”

  1. Pro-Life Activists Rally in Philly to Counter Dem’s Vicious Viral Attack

phillyproliferally3_hdv

After gay, pro-abortion Pennsylvania House member Brian Sims bullied three teen girls and an elderly woman protesting abortion, the Christian Broadcast Network reports in a 10 May 2019 article that pro-life groups have come together to protest his methods.

Pro-life activists rallied in Philadelphia Friday morning in response to a viral video of a Pennsylvania state representative harassing pro-life teens and women.

WATCH the entire rally BELOW:

We are LIVE at our pro-life rally against bullying, calling for the resignation of Brian Sims and for the end of abortion.

Faithwire’s Carly Hoilman was on site for the rally, posting numerous highlights from the event on Twitter:

The rally came together to protest the actions of state Rep. Brian Sims who is seen in viral videos harassing and threatening teenagers and a woman silently praying outside of this particular Planned Parenthood clinic. Sims points his camera at the teens, hoping to expose the identity of these minors, saying: “I’ve got a hundred dollars for anyone who can identify these three.”

In his bullying video, Sims hovers around an older woman, taunting her and trying to shove the camera in her face saying, “Today’s protester, now she is an old white lady who is going to try to avoid showing you her face.”

Sims had triumphantly tweeted his harassment, calling on others to target pro-lifers too: “Push back against Planned Parenthood protestors, PLEASE! They prey on young women, they use white privilege, & shame. They’re racist, classist, bigots who NEED & DESERVE our righteous opposition. Push back, please”

Since the media wants to portray gays as victims and never bullies, this will never see the light of day. Likewise, the attacks on the teens, the offers to have those teens’ lives ruined (much like the issues the media first tried to impose on the Covington Catholic boys.

  1. Pro-Lifers Pack Street at Philly Planned Parenthood: ‘We Are Not Going to Continue to Be Bullied’

In another article by the Christian Broadcast Network, we find that pro-life groups have a message for Planned Parenthood.

Hundreds of pro-lifers came here Friday to protest a Pennsylvania state representative’s recent verbal attacks against pro-life sidewalk counselors outside a Philadelphia abortion clinic.

As CBN News has reported, state Rep. Brian Sims (D) put out a video of himself blasting a woman who was merely praying a few feet from the Elizabeth Blackwell Planned Parenthood clinic. “An old white lady telling women what to do with their bodies,” he said.

Sims then basically offered a bounty for information on three teenage girls praying at the same clinic.

He called them, “A bunch of pseudo-Christian protestors who’ve been out here shaming young girls for being here. So here’s the deal: I’ve got $100 to anybody who’ll identify any of these three.”

phillyproliferally9_si

The pro-life advocates who came to this clinic told CBN News they won’t be intimidated or stopped because abortion must be fought.

Abby Johnson, a former Planned Parenthood manager who now helps abortion clinic workers leave their jobs, addressed the rally.

Even without the coverage by the media, maybe Planned Parenthood and Brian Sims will get the message of this rally.

Former Fugees rapper Pras Michel was indicted on charges of funneling millions of dollars in foreign money to then President Obama’s 2012 re-election effort, amid widening fallout of the multibillion-dollar fraud scandal at a Malaysian government fund.

The scandal has toppled Malaysia’s prime minister, threatened Goldman Sachs Group Inc. with criminal charges, and ensnared both Republican and Democratic fundraisers.

  3. Ilhan Omar has ties to the Muslim Amereican Society (which published the video of children singing “we will chop head of unbelievers off”).
  4. Trump told of his losing billions during his first episode of The Apprentice
  5. The Planned Parenthood location where Pennsylvania House member Brian Sims bullied three teen girls and an elderly woman for protesting abortion has failed 14 of the past 20 health inspections

This is a sad state of affairs for the media when they cannot report the news for fear of helping conservatives.

Lesbian Feminist Testifies Against the ‘Equality Act’

1beck

A 2 April 2019 National Review article points to the words of lesbian feminist Julia Beck as she points out many of the things that Christians have regarding the Equality Act. Specifically, she points out many instances where the Equality Act will allow the blurring of lines that protect women.

On Tuesday Julia Beck testified against the Equality Act (H.R. 5) before the House Judiciary Committee. Beck is a lesbian who was booted out of the Baltimore LGBT Commission for describing a male transgender rapist as a male and saying that men can’t be lesbians.

Advocates of the Equality Act characterize it as anti-discrimination for LGBT people and a much-needed extension of the 1964 Civil Rights Act. Nearly 300 Democrats (and a few Republicans) support the bill. It is scheduled for hearings later this spring, and a vote this summer. It will likely pass the House, if not yet the Senate.

In her testimony, Beck said the law would mean that,

male rapists will go to women’s prisons and likely assault female inmates as has already happened in the U.K.; female survivors of rape will be unable to contest male presence in women’s shelters; men will dominate women’s sports — girls who would have taken first place will be denied scholastic opportunity; women who use male pronouns to talk about men may be arrested, fined, and banned from social media platforms; girls will stay home from school when they have their periods to avoid harassment by boys in mixed-space toilets; girls and women will no longer have a right to ask for female medical staff or intimate care providers, including elderly or disabled women who are at serious risk of sexual abuse; female security officers will no longer have the right to refuse to perform pat-downs or intimate searches of males who say they’re female and women undergoing security checks will no longer have the right to refuse having those security checks being performed by men claiming a feminine identity.

She pointed out that “everything I just listed is already happening, and it’s only going to get worse if gender identity is recognized in federal law.” And added, “I urge my fellow Democrats to wake up. Please acknowledge biological reality.”

(Read more at National Review)

Now that a recognized leader in the lesbian community has said the same thing that Christians (such as Tim Wildmon of the American Family Association) has been saying, maybe more people in government will start to take note.

Then again, maybe they will just sideline Ms. Beck just like they have sidelined Christians.

Still, with that said, what about the Christians who want to live out their faith despite aggressive attacks from liberal activists? What about Jack Phillips and his Masterpiece Cakeshop? What about the former owners of Sweet Cakes by Melissa? What about Barronelle Stutzman?

Rep. Nadler says that we cannot hide behind religion when discriminating against transgenders and homosexuals. Can this question be turned around? Have lesbians used their power with liberal states to persecute Christians? Is there equal representation under the law?

Houston Library continues program after registered sex offender found in Drag Queen Storytime

houston-storytime-drag-suspect

The Houston Chronicle tells of Alberto Garza in a 17 March 2010 article, a transgender who was convicted of abusing an 8-year-old boy has now been found participating in the Houston Public Library’s program that has transgenders reading to preschoolers. What can go wrong there?

Houston Public Library officials apologized Friday for failing to conduct a background check on a registered sex offender who read books to children at an event hosted by drag queens.

Albert Garza, a 32-year-old registered sex offender, participated in the program under the name Tatiana Mala-Niña, according to the conservative anti-LGBTQ group, MassResistance.

Library officials acknowledged in a statement Friday that Garza has “a criminal background that should have prevented him from participating” in the Drag Queen Storytime program, in which drag queens read books at the Freed-Montrose library.

Department of Public Safety records show Garza was convicted of aggravated sexual assault of an 8-year-old child in 2009, for which he received five years of probation and community supervision.

Mala-Niña did not respond to attempts Saturday to confirm her apparent criminal background.

“We assure you that this participant will not be involved in any future HPL programs,” the library’s statement reads. “…We deeply regret this oversight and the concern this may cause our customers. We realize this is a serious matter.”

Although many citizens of Houston’s Montrose would not be surprised to find that a transvestite who was reading to children at the public library was a registered sex offender, this is still a breach of the public trust. The sad thing is that it was not the Houston Public Library’s last breach of trust under this program.

Second Child Sex Offender Unmasked at Drag Queen Story Time, Houston Activists Say

Sex-Offender-Drag-Queen_sized-770x415xc

According to a 5 April 2019 article on PJ Media, a second child abuser discovered within the Houston Public Library Drag Queen program.

On Thursday, activist parents with MassResistance unmasked another child sex offender who greeted children at Drag Queen Story Time. According to local MassResistance leader Tracy Shannon, a drag performer with many aliases has sexually assaulted children and publicly recounted his history as a transgender dominatrix and prostitute for hire. His name has been redacted here because he was allegedly convicted for sexual assault against children at age 16, so his record has been sealed.

“We have another big reveal today at our press conference which will take place at 2 PM at the Freed Montrose Library,” Shannon announced in an email. “Due to this individual using multiple aliases and having moved around a lot it was hard to nail down his identity but we finally connected the dots. We found his name a few days ago but trying to find some affirmation and photos was like looking for a needle in a haystack of social media postings.”

“Once we affirmed the identity we ran background checks and found the record. We will reveal all at 2 PM Central time at our press conference,” she added. She also excoriated the Houston Public Library (HPL) system for allowing child sex offenders to greet children.

At the conference, “MassResistance will demand an audit of the entire HPL background checks vs volunteer applications to see how many have experienced an ‘oversight’ and how many sex offenders have been allowed to participate in children’s programming at the libraries in Houston. We will also be demanding a city ordinance that requires background checks for all city-sanctioned programs for children when we have our press conference.”

Shannon sent PJ Media the research document outlining how MassResistance uncovered this second alleged sex offender.

She connected the man to an article at About Online recalling experiences in “sex work” as a “professional dominatrix.” At the beginning, the anonymous author admitted, “I had tried for so many years to alleviate my depression and dysphoria through random sex, I had lost track of how many partners I’ve had.” This eased the transition from “sex work” to becoming a transgender prostitute and porn actor.

Hat tip: Frank and Freeda Blunt, Trigger Reset

Hopefully, this will be the last breach of trust for the Houston Public Library for a while.

We must protect children and others who are incapable of protecting themselves. Allowing preditors, whether in the library or in the church, does not cut it. We need to either stay with them or know those in whom we trust our children.

#3 – Christians should know that most powers want to shut us up

From Baylor to Yale, Free Speech for Christians Is Dying, and Ted Cruz Wants Some Answers

As made evident in a 5 April 2019 Christian Broadcasting Network article, even liberals on Christian campuses are threatened by Christian speakers coming with messages that other crowds of Christians want to hear.

Freedom of speech is under fire now possibly more than ever on college campuses as this fundamental American freedom is being stripped from students, professors, and even public speakers.

Examples of threats to free speech continue to roll in across the nation, especially for Christians and conservatives and their biblical stand on issues.

Even at a Christian university in the Bible belt, free speech is at risk. Some at Baylor University in Texas are trying to stop Matt Walsh, a Christian author and blogger, from speaking on campus.

Walsh was invited by Baylor’s Young Americans for Freedom chapter to give a speech titled, “The War on Reality: Why the Left Has Set out to Redefine Life, Gender, and Marriage.”

It didn’t sit well with some students and so they circulated a petition to stop him from speaking on the topic from a biblical perspective.

The petition accuses Walsh of spreading “harmful hate speech.” Some students even vandalized posters advertising the event.

Walsh took to Twitter saying he simply wants to express a point of view, is trying to have a good sense of humor about the protest, and is asking students to try to have a rational dialogue with him.

Organizers say the event, scheduled for April 9, is now sold out.

A second recent case involves Yale Law School saying students who work for Christian groups supporting biblical teaching on marriage being between one man and one woman will no longer receive school financial support.

The controversy erupted when an attorney with Alliance Defending Freedom was invited to speak on campus about Christian baker Jack Phillips who, for religious reasons, declined to make a wedding cake for a gay couple.

A number of Yale’s liberal groups, including the LGBTQ advocacy group the “Outlaws” protested the speech and the school’s financial help to conservative students.

Yale responded by pulling the funding for students who follow their biblical beliefs.

Texas Sen. Ted Cruz (R) is now involved. He sent a letter to the dean of the Yale Law School saying its new policy is “transparently discriminatory” and intended to “blacklist Christian organizations.” Cruz has threatened legal action.

It would seem that a number of liberals have flocked to the private institutions founded by religious groups (like Baylor, which is currently at least partially funded by the Southern Baptist Convention). Therefore, it seems that Christians have been tolerant of liberals who moved into their halls of learning. However, it also seems that those same liberals cannot be tolerant of Christians.

#4 – Christians should watch for politicians who try to pander to the crowd

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez Melts Down over Criticism of Fake Accent

This Breitbart article highlights both the extremes of pandering that the Democrats have fallen to and the degree of pain they feel upon being called out for that pandering.

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) responded to criticism for her patronizing use of a fake accent in front of a black audience in the usual manner — crybabying.

The not-terribly-bright socialist was caught on video Friday patronizing the mostly black audience with a fake southern drawl at Rev. Al Sharpton’s National Action Network conference.

The humiliating video quickly made the rounds on social media, earning the criticism and ridicule it deserved.

The video is as shocking as it is excruciating. All of a sudden, the Westchester socialist, who is famous for her Jerry the Mouse voice, starts talking like a black preacher.

“This is what organizing looks like. This is what building power looks like,” Ocasio-Crazy said with her affected cadence. “This is what changing the country looks like. It’s when we choose to show up and occupy the room and talk about the things that matter most, talking about our future.”

“Ain’t nothing wrong with that. There’s nothing wrong with working retail, folding clothes for other people to buy,” she continued. “There is nothing wrong with preparing the food that your neighbors will eat. There is nothing wrong with driving the buses that take your family to work”:

The moment is reminiscent of two-time presidential loser Hillary “Hot Sauce” Clinton’s similar attempt to condescend to a predominantly black audience with her “Ain’t No Ways Tired” remarks in 2007:

#5 – Christians should know that apostasy is growing in the “Church”

The Swedish Church Creates LGBTQ View of the Bible for Children, Identifies Jesus as ‘Queer’

SwedishChurch&Sexuality

One 5 April 2019 Christian Broadcasting Network article shows that one diocese of the Church of Sweden has published a guide stating that Christ was homosexual.

The Diocese of Västerås, a division of the Church of Sweden, is now giving away an LGBTQ guide for “Christian queer kids.” Bible-believing Christians may be stunned to hear that this extreme guide describes Jesus as “queer” and Joseph as transvestite.

No, this isn’t just some radical college course about the Bible. This is coming from the actual Church of Sweden.

The church, which identifies as Protestant, has created what it calls a “survival guide” for LGBTQ youth. A Swedish news site, Nya DagBladet, states the church’s guide contains definitions and concepts, a bit about the Bible and LGBTQ, as well as Bible stories that it claims are related to LGBTQ people.

The guide goes on to contradict Scripture by stating the Bible is actually not against homosexuality, implying scriptures dealing with it are actually about exploitation or rape. Click Here to see what the Bible actually says about homosexuality.

‘Hate-Filled, Anti-Christian, Anti-Conservative Organization’: Why the SPLC Has Been Given an ‘F’ by Charity Watch

SPLC-2

A 4 April 2019 article at the Christian Broadcasting Network points out the vehemence of the attacks by the SPLC.

More than 25 Christian and conservative leaders have signed a letter to the CEO’s of Facebook, Twitter, Google and Amazon, urging them to end any working relationships with the Southern Poverty Law Center.

The SPLC has notoriously listed Christian and conservative groups as hate groups.

“It is now clear that the SPLC has proven to be a hate-filled, anti-Christian, anti-conservative organization and nothing more than a weapon of the radical Left, whose goal is to bully people into compliance with their ideology,” the letter states. “Fail to comply with their demands, and you will be labeled as a hate group or an extremist.”

The Family Research Council is one group the SPLC has put in that hate group category for its Biblical beliefs and defense of traditional marriage. Others like the Alliance Defending Freedom and Prager University have also been targeted.

And this letter may be just the beginning of the SPLC’s worries. Sen. Tom Cotton (R-AR) is calling on the IRS to investigate the non-profit and review its tax exempt status.

“They’ve really become kind of a hate group themselves,” Cotton told Fox News’ Tucker Carlson. “Serial repeated defamation against what you see as a political opponent is not a tax exempt purpose.”

The SPLC has a reported $500 million in assets with a good chunk of that in offshore accounts.

(Read more at Christian Broadcasting Network)

When you also consider that the leadership of the SPLC left under the cloud of mistreatment, sexual harassment, gender discrimination, and racism, you would not know it from the virtual silence among the mainstream media outlets.

Additionally, you would not know that the current leader of the SPLC (Tina Tchen) has close ties to the Obama administration — including Greg Craig — and the Council on American-Islamic Relations (an unindicted co-conspirator in the Holy Land Foundation case). What do we here about this? Do we even hear crickets out of the media?

Liberals Picking Useless Fights Favoring Deviancy

Liberals Bend Over Backwards to Favor Sexual Deviancy

Heidi Gansen of the University of Michigan

A Michigan Researcher Complains that Preschools Present Heterosexuality as Normal

As presented in a 4 September 2017 OneNewsNow article, one Michigan researcher has garnered complaints due to her contention that too many preschools present heterosexuality as the norm.

A University of Michigan researcher is under fire after complaining that too many preschool students are being taught that heterosexuality is the norm.

From her research, Heidi M. Gansen says that “heteronormativity” contributes to the “reproduction of inequalities pertaining to gender and sexuality” – progressive ideology that Chris Gasek of the Family Research Council (FRC) calls a waste of time and research money.

“I don’t know how much research you have to do to sort of confirm that kind of thing, because to most normal people, that’s not evil,” the FRC senior fellow submits. “She’s the problem, so what you need to do is get rid of the investigators like her and stop taking them seriously.”

(Read more at OneNewsNow)

So would this researcher think that twisting the truth in favor of deviancy would not produce more inequalities around gender and sexuality? It seems that moving further from the norm might not constitute the best way to smooth interpersonal relations of any kind.

Greg Burt of the California Family Council

Liberal California Law Could Send People to Jail for Failing to Use Transgender Pronouns

According to a 25 August 2017 Daily Caller article, California could start jailing people for using the incorrect pronoun when referring to a transgender person.

A bill that passed the California state senate and is now moving through the Assembly could threaten jail time for anyone who refuses to use a transgender person’s preferred pronoun.

The law is currently limited in its effects to nursing homes and intermediate-care facilities, but if passed, those who “willfully and repeatedly” refuse “to use a transgender resident’s preferred name or pronouns” could be slapped with a $1,000 fine and up to one year in prison, according to the California Heath and Safety code. The state senate passed the bill 26-12 at the end of May. Since then, the Assembly Judiciary committee recommended the bill unanimously and the General Assembly held its first hearing on the legislation Wednesday.

“How can you believe in free speech, but think the government can compel people to use certain pronouns when talking to others?” Greg Burt of the California Family Council testified in July. “This is not tolerance. This is not love. This is not mutual respect. True tolerance tolerates people with different views. We need to treat each other with respect, but respect is a two-way street. It is not respectful to threaten people with punishment for having sincerely held beliefs that differ from your own.”

Titled the “Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender Long-Term Care Facility Residents Bill of Rights,” the legislation also requires nursing homes and care facilities to allow residents to use the bathroom of their choice, regardless of biological sex. The bill’s author, state Sen. Scott Weiner, argues that religious views don’t hold weight in public areas.

“Everyone is entitled to their religious view,” Weiner said. “But when you enter the public space, when you are running an institution, you are in a workplace, you are in a civil setting, and you have to follow the law.”

Requiring even pronouns to be spoken under penalty of law seems to be a complete violation of the Freedom of Speech.

North Carolina and other bathroom bill backers prosper despite the media’s incorrect reports

North Carolina’s lieutenant governor, Dan Forest

Despite Media reports, North Carolina prospers following their bathroom bill

A 13 March 2017 article in OneNewsNow points to the testimony of North Carolina’s lieutenant governor, Dan Forest, before the Texas Senate.

“SB 6 is a Texas bill, voted out of committee to the full Senate, which would require men to use men’s restroom facilities.

One of the key witnesses before the committee was North Carolina’s lieutenant governor, Dan Forest. In a press conference with Texas Values, he disputed claims that his state has lost business over the issue.

‘If you take the most aggressive numbers for the loss that we’ve actually had, because of what’s been done to protect privacy and safety in bathrooms in North Carolina,’ said Forest, ‘you would add that all up and it would come up to 1/10th of one percent of our annual GDP.’

Fact-checking website Politifact, which often goes after conservative officials, conceded that Forest was being truthful about his analysis of North Carolina’s business climate.

Pay Pal made the decision to not expand by adding 400 staff but the state is now adding 400 jobs per week.

Then there were sports organizations that refused events for North Carolina.

‘The number that wasn’t added up was the $400 million that we’re going to receive from the International Equestrian Show,’ Forrest said. ‘That’s going to come to North Carolina in 2018 that far outpaces all the numbers for all those events combined.’ “

When the PC police (Braeburn Pharmaceuticals; Lionsgate, Walt Disney Co., Marvel Studios; Salesforce.com, NFL; Hilton, Marriott and Starwood hotels; AirBnB, Uber and Lyft; American Airlines; Bank of America, Citibank, TD Bank, PayPal, and Deutsche Bank) came out against North Carolina, the enormity of North Carolina’s business environment was never really considered.  Therefore, it seems that these companies did not have the stifling impact on  North Carolina that they had planned.  Still, maybe we all should consider not buying these brands if they choose to be bullies.

Despite predictions of ruin, states taking on bathroom bills have experienced growth

Although a study quoted by the Heritage Foundation attributes the growth of five states to tax policy, it is interesting to see that three of the “big winners” listed by Heritage are states enacting bathroom bills (as reported by Time — Texas, North Carolina, and South Carolina).

“The geographical shift of power from the Northeast to the South is unmistakable. The big winners in this interstate competition for jobs and growth have generally been in Dixie: the Carolinas, Florida, Texas, and Tennessee.”

While the creation of bathroom bills may not be a revenue-generating event, it is not the economy crusher for North Carolina that the LGBT crowd wants us to believe.

The University of North Carolina projects slow but steady growth

A 8 December 2017 article by UNC radio station WUNC describes the future projected by the university’s economists.

“North Carolina’s economy will grow another two percent next year – on par with growth in 2016, according to a UNC Charlotte economic forecast.

Like the national economy, the state’s economy has grown at about 2 percent each year since the bottom of the recession. Report author and UNC Charlotte professor John Connaughton said 3 percent growth or higher is ideal, and that the state could get there by boosting worker productivity.

‘And the way historically that you increase that is to increase the amount of capital and technology that workers have,’ he said.

Connaughton said that increasing the labor force can also boost economic growth, but that the state’s labor force is unlikely to grow.”

Site Selection magazine declares North Carolina economy to be in the top 10

According to a November 2016 article in Site Selection magazine, North Carolina possesses a top-tier economy despite pressure from LGBT bullies like Pay Pal.

“North Carolina finishes in second place overall, as it did last year, despite calls to avoid investing there due to a bathroom-access law that passed earlier in 2016. It also ranks in the top tier in the competitiveness component of the business climate ranking, meaning plenty of companies still want a Tar Heel business facility in their portfolio, whether or not some sporting events move their contests elsewhere or a handful of companies cancel their North Carolina expansions. It still has the workforce, climate and infrastructure (transportation, regulatory and otherwise) deemed necessary by capital investors.”

Houston defeated HERO (city bathroom bill) before hosting the 2017 Super Bowl

Just to remind everyone that the LGBT-protecting Houston Equal Rights Ordinance was defeated in November 2015 — about a year-and-a-half before the 2017 Super Bowl.

“Houston’s Equal Rights Ordinance (HERO), designed to protect the rights of gay citizens and others, has failed by a wide margin — after a hard-fought campaign in which opponents warned it would give male sexual predators access to women’s bathrooms.

On Tuesday, Houston voters were presented with this question: ‘Are you in favor of the Houston Equal Rights Ordinance, Ord. No. 2014-530, which prohibits discrimination in city employment and city services, city contracts, public accommodations, private employment, and housing based on an individual’s sex, race, color, ethnicity, national origin, age, familial status, marital status, military status, religion, disability, sexual orientation, genetic information, gender identity, or pregnancy?’

While the final results were not in as of early Wednesday, it seems almost two-thirds of voters said ‘No.’ At 12:30 a.m. EST, the tally was 61 percent opposed, 39 percent in favor with 95 percent of precincts reporting, as ABC13 noted.”

But as much as HERO’s proponents decried the vote, the proposition was rejected by a decisive majority of the citizens of the nation’s fourth-largest city. Turnout was strong among white conservatives and African Americans — demographics likely to oppose the measure, as the Los Angeles Times pointed out.

Add to this the fact that the NFL issued a statement pointing out that the defeat of HERO to would not derail the 2017 Super Bowl.  Only God will know how many or how few scheduled events were cancelled due to the defeat of HERO; however, the Super Bowl was not cancelled.

A Plea to base Life-changing Decisions for Dependent Children on Facts

The American College of Pediatrics reminds us that enforcing transgender ideology on children is child abuse

In an updated statement made during January 2017, the American College of Pediatrics urged pediatricians and practitioners to remember that facts, not ideology, determine reality and that chemical and surgical efforts to circumvent nature will cause irreparable harm.

“The American College of Pediatricians urges healthcare professionals, educators and legislators to reject all policies that condition children to accept as normal a life of chemical and surgical impersonation of the opposite sex. Facts – not ideology – determine reality.

  1. Human sexuality is an objective biological binary trait: “XY” and “XX” are genetic markers of male and female, respectively – not genetic markers of a disorder. The norm for human design is to be conceived either male or female. Human sexuality is binary by design with the obvious purpose being the reproduction and flourishing of our species. This principle is self-evident. The exceedingly rare disorders of sex development (DSDs), including but not limited to testicular feminization and congenital adrenal hyperplasia, are all medically identifiable deviations from the sexual binary norm, and are rightly recognized as disorders of human design. Individuals with DSDs (also referred to as “intersex”) do not constitute a third sex.1

  2. No one is born with a gender. Everyone is born with a biological sex. Gender (an awareness and sense of oneself as male or female) is a sociological and psychological concept; not an objective biological one. No one is born with an awareness of themselves as male or female; this awareness develops over time and, like all developmental processes, may be derailed by a child’s subjective perceptions, relationships, and adverse experiences from infancy forward. People who identify as “feeling like the opposite sex” or “somewhere in between” do not comprise a third sex. They remain biological men or biological women.2,3,4

  3. A person’s belief that he or she is something they are not is, at best, a sign of confused thinking. When an otherwise healthy biological boy believes he is a girl, or an otherwise healthy biological girl believes she is a boy, an objective psychological problem exists that lies in the mind not the body, and it should be treated as such. These children suffer from gender dysphoria. Gender dysphoria (GD), formerly listed as Gender Identity Disorder (GID), is a recognized mental disorder in the most recent edition of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of the American Psychiatric Association (DSM-V).5 The psychodynamic and social learning theories of GD/GID have never been disproved.2,4,5

  4. Puberty is not a disease and puberty-blocking hormones can be dangerous. Reversible or not, puberty- blocking hormones induce a state of disease – the absence of puberty – and inhibit growth and fertility in a previously biologically healthy child.6

  5. According to the DSM-V, as many as 98% of gender confused boys and 88% of gender confused girls eventually accept their biological sex after naturally passing through puberty.5

  6. Pre-pubertal children who use puberty blockers to impersonate the opposite sex will require cross-sex hormones in late adolescence. This combination leads to permanent sterility. These children will never be able to conceive any genetically related children even via artificial reproductive technology. In addition, cross-sex hormones (testosterone and estrogen) are associated with dangerous health risks including but not limited to cardiac disease, high blood pressure, blood clots, stroke, diabetes, and cancer.7,8,9,10,11

  7. Rates of suicide are nearly twenty times greater among adults who use cross-sex hormones and undergo sex reassignment surgery, even in Sweden which is among the most LGBTQ – affirming countries.12 What compassionate and reasonable person would condemn young children to this fate knowing that after puberty as many as 88% of girls and 98% of boys will eventually accept reality and achieve a state of mental and physical health?

  8. Conditioning children into believing a lifetime of chemical and surgical impersonation of the opposite sex is normal and healthful is child abuse. Endorsing gender discordance as normal via public education and legal policies will confuse children and parents, leading more children to present to ‘gender clinics’ where they will be given puberty-blocking drugs. This, in turn, virtually ensures they will ‘choose’ a lifetime of carcinogenic and otherwise toxic cross-sex hormones, and likely consider unnecessary surgical mutilation of their healthy body parts as young adults.”

(For the doctors’ clarifications and end notes, refer to the American College of Pediatrics)

Since we are called to be the protectors of children, it sounds like it is high time that we assume that mantle.

Note that this article does not present a prohibition for adults to take their own path. While I don’t agree with this lifestyle, if God does not force conformation, neither will I.

Additionally, this is not a condemnation of either children or adults that feel this compunction.  As far as the adults who feel this compunction, they will have to wait for another article.  This is about the needs of children.  For the children who feel this compunction, we must work to protect them.

From this point, this article points out the irreparable harm by well-meaning people who administer body-altering chemicals to young bodies.  Additionally, it points out the coercive effects of our educational and media outlets with their current trajectories of thought.  Therefore, we must be aware of these powers (to damage a child based on the child’s current feelings) and these forces (of media and the education establishment).  With these things in mind, we must work toward the best interests of the child.

Obama commutes 330 sentences on his final day for a total of 1,719

A 19 January 2017 article on The Hill reported on the pardons handed down by Obama on his last full day in the presidency.

President Obama on Thursday commuted the sentences of 330 inmates on his final full day in office, the White House announced.

Obama has set a record with his aggressive use of clemency power. The 1,715 commutations granted during his eight years in office are more than any president in the nation’s history. Of those, 568 were sentenced to life in prison.

‘You have been granted a second chance because the president sees the potential in you,’ White House counsel Neil Eggleston wrote in a blog post. ‘The president concluded that you have taken substantial steps to remedy your past mistakes and that you are deserving of a second chance.’

But Thursday’s batch did not contain those types of names or other well-known political figures who have typically received clemency from past presidents during their final days.

For example, Obama faced pressure to offer commutations or pardons to former National Security Agency contractor Edward Snowden, Army deserter Bowe Bergdahl and former Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich (D).

Instead, the list was made up of non-violent drug offenders on whom Obama has focused his attention during the past two-plus years.

Obama started a clemency initiative in 2014 designed to shorten drug sentences he views as unjust.

What else would cement Obama’s claim to being the most supportive president of lawlessness (other than his continual, dictatorial executive orders)? If you cannot answer that, refer to Obama effectively invalidates his complaints about Russian hacks by commuting the sentence of Pfc. Bradley Manning.

Obama’s last law puts government on steroids

The only thing Obama loves more than an oppressively big government is one that works quickly (as shown by a 23 January 2017 article from The Hill).

“With not even an hour of his presidency to spare, then-President Obama huddled in the holding room in the Capitol, just off the balcony, steps from where then-President-elect Trump would take the oath of office.

In this unusual setting, the outgoing president signed H.R. 39, the Tested Ability to Leverage Exceptional Talent (Talent) Act, to codify the Presidential Innovation Fellows program as a centerpiece of his legacy.

The program, created by the Obama administration in 2012 to build a more efficient, effective, and people-centered government, has received accolades across the political spectrum and private sector.

The nonpartisan, nonprofit organization that I run, the Institute for Education, has been an informal supporter of the Presidential Innovation Fellows program since its early days.

I’ve said for years the tech and innovation work done by the Obama team was the most important work that nobody spoke about.

Recently, the program gained significant bipartisan support and even passed both the House of Representatives and Senate with nearly unanimous majorities.

‘As a former telecommunications executive, I know how difficult and bureaucratic it can be for government to adapt to new changes in technology, productivity, and data management,’ Sen. Mark Warner (D-Va.) stated. ‘This program provides an opportunity for this country’s top talent to bring their diverse and innovative experience to the federal workforce, without displacing change-makers within government.’

Sen. James Lankford (R-Okla.) embraced a similar outlook.

‘This law will play a part in helping improve the effectiveness and efficiency of our federal workforce,’ Lankford stated. ‘It was a pleasure to work with Senator Warner and Senator Booker on this, and I appreciate the efforts of House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy, who authored the companion bill in the House.’ “

The more concerning part of this comes from the fact that Republicans Lankford and Booker (and obviously a large number of sellouts from conservatism) worked with all of these Democrats.

Obama makes a final call to Angela Merkel

The New York Post provided a brief account of Obama’s last phone call to a head of state.

“President Obama logged his final world-leader phone call Thursday, thanking German Chancellor Angela Merkel and her husband, Joachim Sauer, ‘for their personal friendship’ and partnership, the White House announced.

Michelle Obama joined her husband on the phone call, according to a readout from the White House.

‘The President thanked Chancellor Merkel for her strong, courageous, and steady leadership,’ the statement added.

Merkel is up for re-election this year, trying to avoid a wave of nationalism that has swayed elections in Europe and the US.

‘Given their eight years of friendship and partnership, the President noted that it was fitting that his final call with a foreign leader was with Chancellor Merkel, and he wished her the very best going forward,’ said the White House.”

Considering that these two have major hands in creating the Muslim surge and then working to direct these people into their countries with seemingly little regard for the lawlessness that accompanied the surge, this fits.

Obama enacts a transgender-friendly Immigration policy on 19 January 2017

On his last day in office, Barack Obama issued a pro-transgender immigration policy via a memo (as reported by MRCTV in a 24 January 2017 article.

“One day before President Donald Trump took the oath of office (when exactly no one was paying attention), then-President Barack Obama’s administration quietly finalized a new memorandum allowing immigrants to receive documentation based on their preferred “gender identity.”

According to the policy, enacted on Jan. 19, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services will now provide work permits, travel documents, permanent residency cards, refugee documents and Certificates of Naturalization or Citizenship to immigrants based on their gender identity, rather than their biological sex.

Immigrants who already have these documents can petition the government for new ones that reflect their preferred gender. To get a new, updated document, an immigrant must provide a court order or another government-issued I.D. document that reflects their preferred gender (such as a driver’s license, birth certificate or passport). If the immigrant doesn’t have any of these things, the new policy states they can simply bring in a note from their doctor, social worker or counselor verifying their new gender identity.”

So does Obama think that Syrian Muslim refugees will share his acceptance of transgenders and homosexuals?  Or has he set up a stage for victimhood that he can champion?

Obama effectively invalidates his complaints about Russian hacks by commuting the sentence of Pfc. Bradley Manning

Since Obama ended his presidency baselessly claiming that Hillary lost because the Russians “hacked the election” and turned Hillary’s emails over to Wikileaks (a claim that not only doesn’t seem to have facts behind it, but also one that contradicts some of Obama’s own statements), Obama’s last-hour commutation for Bradley Manning of Wikileaks fame totally contradicts the narrative of his “Russian hacking” complaints.

To prove this point, consider the scant information provided by CNN in an 18 January 2017 article.

“President Barack Obama on Tuesday overruled his secretary of defense to commute the sentence of former Army soldier Chelsea Manning, who was convicted of stealing and disseminating 750,000 pages of documents and videos to WikiLeaks.

The decision — which a senior defense official told CNN was made over the objections of Secretary of Defense Ash Carter — immediately touched off a controversy in the closing days of the Obama administration.

A former intelligence official described being ‘shocked’ to learn of Obama’s decision, adding that the ‘entire intelligence community is deflated by this inexplicable use of executive power.’ The official said the move was ‘deeply hypocritical given Obama’s denunciation of WikiLeaks’ role in the hacking of the (Democratic National Committee).’

The President also pardoned James Cartwright, the former vice chairman of the US Joint Chiefs of Staff, who pleaded guilty in October to a single charge of making false statements to federal investigators in 2012 when he was questioned about leaking top secret information on US efforts to cripple Iran’s nuclear program to two journalists.

A presidential commutation reduces the sentence being served but it does not change the fact of conviction, whereas a pardon forgives a certain criminal offense.

Manning, a transgender woman, was serving a 35-year sentence at Fort Leavenworth, an all-male Army prison in eastern Kansas, despite her request to transfer to a civilian prison. A White House statement on Tuesday said her prison sentence is set to expire on May 17.”

If you consider the magnitude of Manning’s crime (the number of associated deaths, the missions endangered, the volume of top-secret pages involved, and a number of other details that were not commonly brought up by CNN or other mainstream media outlets), you will have a good starting point.  Then if you consider that these were all swept under the rug for the sake of a statement on one transgender, you will be closer to seeing how little importance Obama really put on cyber security. Finally, think of how many times Obama articles were devoted to “Russian hacking” despite his previous assigning Hillary’s loss to poor campaigning, careless use of a private email server, her lack of outreach to rural communities., and her lack of an electable personality.  These should come together to prove that the often-cited hacking excuse was nothing more than a diversion from Hillary’s poor campaigning.

Obama gives $221 million of taxpayer money to the Palestinian Authority

Obama released $221 million to the Palestinian Authority in a communication to Congress dated 20 January 2017, as reported by the Associated Press in a 24 January 2017 article.

“Officials say the Obama administration in its waning hours defied Republican opposition and quietly released $221 million to the Palestinian Authority that GOP members of Congress had been blocking.

A State Department official and several congressional aides said the outgoing administration formally notified Congress it would spend the money Friday morning. The official said former Secretary of State John Kerry had informed some lawmakers of the move shortly before he left the State Department for the last time Thursday. The aides said written notification dated Jan. 20 was sent to Congress just hours before Donald Trump took the oath of office.

In addition to the $221 million for the Palestinians, the Obama administration also told Congress on Friday it was going ahead with the release of another $6 million in foreign affairs spending, including $4 million for climate change programs and $1.25 million for U.N. organizations, the congressional aides said. The aides and the State Department official weren’t authorized to speak publicly on the matter and demanded anonymity.

Congress had initially approved the Palestinian funding in budget years 2015 and 2016, but at least two GOP lawmakers — Ed Royce of California, the chairman of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, and Kay Granger of Texas, who sits on the House Appropriations Committee — had placed holds on it over moves the Palestinian Authority had taken to seek membership in international organizations. Congressional holds are generally respected by the executive branch but are not legally binding after funds have been allocated.”

Thank God that the State Department was able to block the funds to the Palestinian Authority.

Obama gives $9.2 billion to the United Nations on his way out

Snowflakes break bank and limo windows

As noted in a 30 January 2017 article in The West Australian, Obama has started testing where he can stick his nose.

“Former President Barack Obama has praised protesters who amassed across the country in opposition to President Donald Trump’s immigration orders, breaking his silence on political issues for the first time since leaving office.

‘The president fundamentally disagrees with the notion of discriminating against individuals because of their faith or religion,’ Obama’s spokesman, Kevin Lewis, said.

In his first statement on behalf of the former president, Lewis said Obama was ‘heartened’ by the amount of engagement taking place in US communities.

‘Citizens exercising their constitutional right to assemble, organise and have their voices heard by their elected officials is exactly what we expect to see when American values are at stake,’ Lewis said.

Lewis didn’t specifically invoke Trump’s immigration order. But he rejected comparisons between Trump’s recent actions and Obama’s foreign policy decisions.

Trump signed an executive order on Friday barring citizens of seven Muslim countries — Iraq, Iran, Syria, Sudan, Somalia, Libya and Yemen — from entering the US for at least 90 days.

He also imposed a 120-day suspension of the US refugee program and blocked Syrians from entry indefinitely.

Trump said he took cues from Obama by temporarily banning travel to the US from citizens of seven countries that Obama’s administration identified as places of terrorism concern. But Obama’s designation related strictly to eligibility to enter the US without a visa; he never considered a travel ban.”

Odd how this much information can be discovered by foreign newspapers, but American media keeps spouting the Democrat talking points.
