Mexico as a source of the second wave

An influx from highly-infected Mexico fuels the “Second Wave”

The Federation for American Immigration Reform has published a report pointing to an influx of human trafficking from COVID-19 infected countries.

Texas is said to be experiencing a second wave of coronavirus infections, and reporters are looking everywhere for clues to the cause – everywhere except south of the border.

COVID cases are rising again in Houston, Dallas and San Antonio. Border communities in the Rio Grande Valley are also seeing increases. One health official called the trend line “absolutely apocalyptic.”

Media coverage zeroed in on the state’s gradual return to business as usual, speculating that re-opened hair salons and gyms are driving up caseloads. Certainly a resumption of public gatherings – with and without masks – has increased chances for spreading the virus.

coronavirus-mexico
Coronavirus cases in Mexico are soaring

But while politicians admonished citizens to mask up and complained of “stress on the healthcare system,” not a word was uttered about the ongoing influx of migrants from Mexico and Central America, where COVID cases are now soaring. The border represents an additional risk that should not be ignored, along with the inherent risks associated with reopening many businesses and people who fail to take proper precautions against contracting or spreading the virus.

Sharing 2,000 miles of border with Mexico, Texas is a prime destination. Even with the Trump administration’s ban on “non-essential” travel across the border, 2,766,122 legal crossings were tallied at three Texas ports of entry in March (the latest month for which data were available). Unknown numbers of illegal aliens continue to enter via other routes.

The White House is just now exploring the possibility that travel from Mexico may be contributing to the new wave of coronavirus infections. (Somewhat disingenuously, the liberal Migration Policy Institute tweaked the administration for imposing “mobility limitations not on grounds of health risk, but to protect jobs.”)

“My strong suspicion is that sick Mexican citizens (and maybe Central Americans and migrants of other nationalities) are illegally entering the United States to use American hospitals because their governments have failed them,” Todd Bensman, of the Center of Immigration Studies, wrote this month. Implicit in Bensman’s observation is that taxpayers in these border regions are left with the bills.

Bensman’s theory remains theoretical because neither the news media nor healthcare providers report COVID patients’ immigration status. The media’s failure to pursue relevant lines of inquiry merely raises more doubts.

“American voters and citizens can and should argue that human decency and Hippocratic oaths require that America care for illegally present non-citizens who need help,” Bensman states. “But American voters also should have a chance to counter that Mexico should be entirely responsible for the consequential fallout from its policy choices and that its government expand facilities for its own sick citizens.”

Thank God for 200 miles completed of southern border wall

With a hat tip to the Chris Salcedo Show for letting his listening audience know about this, I ran across this article the same morning that Chris mentioned it.

It only stands to reason that a once-porous border on our Southern side would present problems when COVID-19 has hit record levels south of the border.

Thank heavens that 200 miles of the border wall have been completed, making it that much more difficult to enter the U.S. through the Southern border illegally.

Mexico Continues to Break Daily Coronavirus Death Record

Breitbart reports that Mexico continues to break its daily coronavirus death record as of 4 June 2020.

coronavirus-mexico-1-day.Despite starting a gradual return to normal activities this week, Mexico recorded the most Coronavirus fatalities in one day. Mexico ranks seventh in the world for deaths and fourteenth for cases.

During their daily news conference, Undersecretary of Health Hugo Lopez Gatell and his staff revealed that Mexico currently has 101,238 confirmed cases and another 44,869 undergoing testing. The nation has recorded 11,729 fatalities tied to the virus.

The government figures show that Mexico recorded 1,092 fatalities in one day, the most to date. Mexico also recorded the most new daily cases with 3,912.

Mexico still ranks high globally despite admitting to undercounts. The nation has only conducted a total of 303,461 tests.

With this in mind, what is Lina Hidalgo doing to stop the spread from highly-infected Mexico?

Does Lina Hidalgo stop the gathering of day laborers at street corners? Does she require social distancing among those groups? The answers to these questions are: “No” and “no.”

However, does she mandate that all people in Harris county wear masks and, if they don’t, she will fine businesses where those maskless people shop? The answer is yes. Of course, Democrats want to kill business.

Lina Hidalgo did everything she could to release prisoners from the Harris county jail. Likewise, Kim Ogg has worked to release over 344 felons. Additionally, she released 800 protesters (including who knows how many of whom had broken windows at stores downtown). So, it seems that all of these Democrats have given George Soros his dollars worth by promoting his anti-America agenda.

Even the New York Times recognizes the threat of Mexico and the coronavirus

Coronavirus jumps the border, overwhelming hospitals in California

The New York Times reports on California hospitals being overwhelmed by Mexican patients coming over the border for treatment.

healthcare-worker-and-security-guard
Healthcare worker and security guard in triage area.

For 32 years, Judy Cruz has cared for patients who showed up in the emergency room in the arid, agrarian valley that straddles Mexico along the California border.

There have been bad flu seasons that caused hospitalizations to spike; weekends when off-road vehicle collisions in the desert resulted in traumatic injuries and scorching summer days when overheated farm workers required intensive resuscitation. Among the patients was always a smattering of Americans who lived across the border.

“We are a teeny tiny hospital but have always been able to manage, calling in staff on their days off or transferring one or two patients out a day to bigger facilities,” said Ms. Cruz, director of the emergency department of the El Centro Regional Medical Center. “We’d get a surge for 24 or 48 hours that required all hands on the deck.”

Then came the coronavirus.

The hospital, which has a 20-bed intensive-care unit, has been overwhelmed with ailing residents of the Imperial Valley, as well as Americans and U.S. green card holders fleeing overcrowded clinics and hospitals in Mexicali, a city of 1.1 million on the other side of the border.

To alleviate the pressure, hospitals in nearby San Diego and Riverside counties began accepting transfers in April. But the intensifying crisis prompted California last week to activate an extraordinary response, enlisting hospitals as far north as Santa Barbara, San Francisco and Sacramento to accept patients from this remote southeastern corner of the state.

Last week, a patient was being transferred from the hospital in El Centro every two to three hours, compared to 17 in an entire month before the Covid-19 pandemic, Ms. Cruz said on a recent morning as a helicopter prepared to airlift a patient and five ambulances dropped off patients near a trio of tents erected outside the hospital to triage new arrivals.

The swelling numbers of Covid-19 patients entering the United States from Mexico comes as many parts of California have pushed down their infection rates, enabling many counties to lift stay-at-home restrictions and reopen businesses.

“We worked hard to flatten the curve in California,” said Carmela Coyle, president of the California Hospital Association, who issued an appeal to hospital systems across the state for help. “Now we have a surge in the Imperial Valley because the situation is so severe in Mexicali.”

Other parts of the border, including San Diego County, also have been scrambling with a wave of patients from Baja California, the state adjacent to California. Border towns in Arizona are experiencing an increase in infections that health officials believe is tied to people coming in from Sonora state.

“Our E.R. is used to receiving patients from Mexico for things like complications from bariatric surgery and plastic surgery, and alternative cancer care, but this pandemic has brought a whole different dynamic,” said Juan Tovar, physician operations executive at Scripps Mercy Hospital in Chula Vista, across the border from Tijuana, which has been hard hit by the pandemic.

“We’re seeing Covid patients arrive at our E.R. who are very ill, whose disease has progressed to an advanced stage because care wasn’t readily available in Baja California,” he said.

The border influx is likely the reason that Chula Vista has more cases per capita than San Diego, a city five times larger.

Chris Van Gorder, the president of Scripps Health, a nonprofit health system in San Diego, reported that nearly half of virus patients who checked into the Chula Vista hospital between May 24 and May 30 had recently been in Mexico. That share rose to 60 percent between May 31 and June 2.

So will Lina Hidalgo blockade Mexico?

Will common sense reign and will Democrats work together with Republicans to stop a health crisis from migrating up from Mexico? My bet is that the Democrats do not care about the health of the nation to the degree that they care about socialism and their advocacy groups.

Starbucks’ brief lapse into sanity did not last

Starbucks will allow employees to wear Black Lives Matter shirts, pins

Houston ABC affiliate KTRK reports that Starbucks has stepped back from its position of being autonomous from Black Lives Matter.

Less than a day after I posted about Starbucks having seen through the Left’s “peaceful” Seattle narrative, Starbucks returned to its liberal roots.

StarbucksDoorStarbucks is speaking out after reports of an alleged policy that bans its employees from wearing accessories or clothing related to the Black Lives Matter movement.

Many on social media expressed their disgust and anger after learning about this alleged rule, calling on others to boycott Starbucks.

In a statement to the ABC 7 Chicago I-Team, Starbucks said:

“Know you’ve been following Starbucks as we continue to listen to our partners (employees) about how they want to take a stand for justice, while proudly wearing the green apron and standing united together. We will continue to work closely with community leaders, civil rights leaders, organizations, and our partners to understand the role that Starbucks can play, and to show up in a positive way for our communities.

Starbucks stands in solidarity with our Black partners, community and customers, and understand the desire to express themselves. As our latest step towards this commitment, we are partnering with the Starbucks Black Partner Network and Black Starbucks leaders to make 250,000 shirts available to our company-operated partners in U.S. and Canada to affirm our support at this critical time in our history. This small effort allows us to abide by store policies that are designed to maintain a safe and welcoming sense of community. Until these shirts arrive in stores, partners will be able to wear their BLM pin or t-shirt in passionate support of their community and humanity.

An “alleged” policy rescinded by alleged idiots

Like a dog that returns to its vomit Is a fool who repeats his folly. (Proverbs 26:11 NASB)

It seems that few remember the destructive tendencies of those within the indigenous left. They don’t want us to remember it was the Pacific-Northwest leftists who:

Still, it seems really odd that Starbucks would not stand against the movement starting in the CHAZ, since:

Now it seems that the chickens are coming home to roost. Now it seems that anarchy has forced these leftists into controlling the world around them using all of the means that they have decried for years.

Now, we find them

  • Imposing a poll tax on part of their population by skin color
  • Supporting gun rights and forming their own untrained, hardly-controlled police force
  • Building walls and setting up check points

But we also find them

  • Ignoring the needs of the weak and defenseless,
  • Denying free speech by escorting out any dissenters, and
  • Always being ready to offer a lame excuse for their hypocrisy

One Left-wing luminary recognizes the lunacy of the current Democrat course

In spite of the idiotic indications from the Seattle crowd and Starbucks, if the observations of Rolling Stone editor Matt Taibbi seep into the main stream of leftist thought, maybe there is some hope for some liberal segments. You see, as reported by Townhall, maybe there is some hope since Taibbi has worked to show the untenable aspects of some of Leftist thought. For example:

(Taibbi) notes that a lot of what Cotton was backed up by a majority of the American public. Also, it seems clear that these leftist clowns didn’t even read the column. The Philadelphia Inquirer sent their longtime editor, Stan Wischowski, packing for green-lighting a headline “Buildings Matter, Too.” Again, another view that’s supported by a healthy majority of voters; people value the protection of what they own. It’s not that hard. For the woke, this is problematic. Wischowski helped diversify the newsroom and helped the paper get a Pulitzer for their series on Philly school violence in his two-decade career at the paper, but screw him, right?

Taibbi is surgical in highlighting all of the nonsense, all of the weird acts of contrition being exhibited by white liberals that he rightfully describes as activities that are more in line with cult behavior. Of course, he calls Trump a clown but directs most of his criticism at the media industry that is collapsing under the infection of wokeness and political correctness that are terrorizing newsrooms. Moreover, the pervasive “moral mania,” as he calls it, has generated a list of the “Most Important Thing Ever” within the liberal media that is often met with the same fate: it’s either forgotten or dropped, leaving the public feeling empty as to why they should be outraged besides the ongoing war cry of “orange man…bad” (via Matt Taibbi):

On the other side of the political aisle, among self-described liberals, we’re watching an intellectual revolution. It feels liberating to say after years of tiptoeing around the fact, but the American left has lost its mind. It’s become a cowardly mob of upper-class social media addicts, Twitter Robespierres who move from discipline to discipline torching reputations and jobs with breathtaking casualness.

The leaders of this new movement are replacing traditional liberal beliefs about tolerance, free inquiry, and even racial harmony with ideas so toxic and unattractive that they eschew debate, moving straight to shaming, threats, and intimidation. They are counting on the guilt-ridden, self-flagellating nature of traditional American progressives, who will not stand up for themselves, and will walk to the Razor voluntarily.

They’ve conned organization after organization into empowering panels to search out thoughtcrime, and it’s established now that anything can be an offense, from a UCLA professor placed under investigation for reading Martin Luther King’s “Letter from a Birmingham Jail” out loud to a data scientist fired* from a research firm for — get this — retweeting an academic study suggesting nonviolent protests may be more politically effective than violent ones!

Now, this madness is coming for journalism.

[…]

…the Philadelphia Inquirer’s editor, Stan Wischowski, was forced out after approving a headline, “Buildings matter, too.”

In the most discussed incident, Times editorial page editor James Bennet was ousted for green-lighting an anti-protest editorial by Arkansas Republican Senator Tom Cotton entitled, “Send in the troops.”

I’m no fan of Cotton, but as was the case with Michael Moore’s documentary and many other controversial speech episodes, it’s not clear that many of the people angriest about the piece in question even read it. In classic Times fashion, the paper has already scrubbed a mistake they made misreporting what their own editorial said…

[…]

Cotton did not call for “military force against protesters in American cities.” He spoke of a “show of force,” to rectify a situation a significant portion of the country saw as spiraling out of control. It’s an important distinction. Cotton was presenting one side of the most important question on the most important issue of a critically important day in American history.

As Cotton points out in the piece, he was advancing a view arguably held by a majority of the country. A Morning Consult poll showed 58% of Americans either strongly or somewhat supported the idea of “calling in the U.S. military to supplement city police forces.” That survey included 40% of self-described “liberals” and 37% of African-Americans. To declare a point of view held by that many people not only not worthy of discussion, but so toxic that publication of it without even necessarily agreeing requires dismissal, is a dramatic reversal for a newspaper that long cast itself as the national paper of record.

Incidentally, that same poll cited by Cotton showed that 73% of Americans described protecting property as “very important,” while an additional 16% considered it “somewhat important.” This means the Philadelphia Inquirer editor was fired for running a headline – “Buildings matter, too” – that the poll said expressed a view held by 89% of the population, including 64% of African-Americans.

[…]

After the 2016 election, we began to see staff uprisings. In one case, publishers at the Nation faced a revolt – from the Editor-in-Chief on down – after an articles by Aaron Mate and Patrick Lawrence questioning the evidentiary basis for Russiagate claims was run. Subsequent events, including the recent declassification of congressional testimony, revealed that Mate especially was right to point out that officials had no evidence for a Trump-Russia collusion case. It’s precisely because such unpopular views often turn out to be valid that we stress publishing and debating them in the press.

Oh, and there’s this part about the Left’s take on the George Floyd riots, which has become a massive exercise in doublethink:

Kathleen Kingsbury [The NYT’s newest opinion page editor], issued a staff directive essentially telling employees they now had a veto over anything that made them uncomfortable: “Anyone who sees any piece of Opinion journalism, headlines, social posts, photos—you name it—that gives you the slightest pause, please call or text me immediately.”

All these episodes sent a signal to everyone in a business already shedding jobs at an extraordinary rate that failure to toe certain editorial lines can and will result in the loss of your job. Perhaps additionally, you could face a public shaming campaign in which you will be denounced as a racist and rendered unemployable.

These tensions led to amazing contradictions in coverage. For all the extraordinary/inexplicable scenes of police viciousness in recent weeks — and there was a ton of it, ranging from police slashing tires in Minneapolis, to Buffalo officers knocking over an elderly man, to Philadelphia police attacking protesters — there were also 12 deaths in the first nine days of protests, only one at the hands of a police officer (involving a man who may or may not have been aiming a gun at police).

Looting in some communities has been so bad that people have been left without banks to cash checks, or pharmacies to fill prescriptions; business owners have been wiped out (“My life is gone,” commented one Philly store owner); a car dealership in San Leandro, California saw 74 cars stolen in a single night. It isn’t the whole story, but it’s demonstrably true that violence, arson, and rioting are occurring.

However, because it is politically untenable to discuss this in ways that do not suggest support, reporters have been twisting themselves into knots. We are seeing headlines previously imaginable only in The Onion, e.g., “27 police officers injured during largely peaceful anti-racism protests in London.”

And on that front, the public shaming aspect, he notes the torching of The Intercept’s Lee Fang for daring to tweet an interview he had with a black man who said, “I always question, why does a Black life matter only when a white man takes it?… Like, if a white man takes my life tonight, it’s going to be national news, but if a black man takes my life, it might not even be spoken of… It’s stuff just like that that I just want in the mix.”

Coronavirus seems to be the perfect storm of communist secrecy and socialist program incompetance

Two possible origins of coronavirus

The snakes in the Chinese marketplace origin

The Science Alert blog suggests the genesis of the coronavirus came from people selling and eating a type of wildlife not considered by Westerners.

The hypothesis that the 2019-nCoV jumped from an animal at the market is strongly supported by a new publication in the Journal of Medical Virology. The scientists conducted an analysis and compared the genetic sequences of 2019-nCoV and all other known coronaviruses.

The study of the genetic code of 2019-nCoV reveals that the new virus is most closely related to two bat SARS-like coronavirus samples from China, initially suggesting that, like SARS and MERS, the bat might also be the origin of 2019-nCoV.

The authors further found that the viral RNA coding sequence of 2019-nCoV spike protein, which forms the “crown” of the virus particle that recognizes the receptor on a host cell, indicates that the bat virus might have mutated before infecting people.

But when the researchers performed a more detailed bioinformatics analysis of the sequence of 2019-nCoV, it suggests that this coronavirus might come from snakes.

From bats to snakes

The researchers used an analysis of the protein codes favored by the new coronavirus and compared it to the protein codes from coronaviruses found in different animal hosts, like birds, snakes, marmots, hedgehogs, manis, bats and humans. Surprisingly, they found that the protein codes in the 2019-nCoV are most similar to those used in snakes.

Snakes often hunt for bats in wild. Reports indicate that snakes were sold in the local seafood market in Wuhan, raising the possibility that the 2019-nCoV might have jumped from the host species – bats – to snakes and then to humans at the beginning of this coronavirus outbreak. However, how the virus could adapt to both the cold-blooded and warm-blooded hosts remains a mystery.

CoiledDriedSnakesForSaleInChineseMarket
Coiled, dried snakes in a Chinese market

The authors of the report and other researchers must verify the origin of the virus through laboratory experiments. Searching for the 2019-nCoV sequence in snakes would be the first thing to do.

However, since the outbreak, the seafood market has been disinfected and shut down, which makes it challenging to trace the new virus’ source animal.

So, if you believe this, then this opens several situations for consideration

First, if this virus did originate when a mammalian virus crossed with a snake virus due to the existence of the trade of snakes as in a fish market, why didn’t this happen years ago? Likewise, if it had to do with the slaughter of an ant-eating pangolin, why (again) did the coronavirus delay its birth?

Second, while there can be no accounting for regional preferences in food sources, if these snakes were such a popular source of food, then why weren’t they farmed (rather than gathering them from the wild, where those snakes are not protected from predation by bats). Could it be that communism is such a bad form of governing that it forces the poor into the caves to hunt for wildlife rather than spend the time to raise those stock?

The Chinese bio-weapons lab origin of the coronavirus

The New York Post provided quite another scenario for the genesis of the coronavirus: that the germ accidentally leaked from a bio-weapons lab in China.

At an emergency meeting in Beijing held last Friday, Chinese leader Xi Jinping spoke about the need to contain the coronavirus and set up a system to prevent similar epidemics in the future.

A national system to control biosecurity risks must be put in place “to protect the people’s health,” Xi said, because lab safety is a “national security” issue.

Xi didn’t actually admit that the coronavirus now devastating large swaths of China had escaped from one of the country’s bioresearch labs. But the very next day, evidence emerged suggesting that this is exactly what happened, as the Chinese Ministry of Science and Technology released a new directive titled: “Instructions on strengthening biosecurity management in microbiology labs that handle advanced viruses like the novel coronavirus.”

Read that again. It sure sounds like China has a problem keeping dangerous pathogens in test tubes where they belong, doesn’t it? And just how many “microbiology labs” are there in China that handle “advanced viruses like the novel coronavirus”?

It turns out that in all of China, there is only one. And this one is located in the Chinese city of Wuhan that just happens to be … the epicenter of the epidemic.

That’s right. China’s only Level 4 microbiology lab that is equipped to handle deadly coronaviruses, called the National Biosafety Laboratory, is part of the Wuhan Institute of Virology.

What’s more, the People’s Liberation Army’s top expert in biological warfare, a Maj. Gen. Chen Wei, was dispatched to Wuhan at the end of January to help with the effort to contain the outbreak.

According to the PLA Daily, Chen has been researching coronaviruses since the SARS outbreak of 2003, as well as Ebola and anthrax. This would not be her first trip to the Wuhan Institute of Virology, either, since it is one of only two bioweapons research labs in all of China.

Does that suggest to you that the novel coronavirus, now known as SARS-CoV-2, may have escaped from that very lab, and that Chen’s job is to try to put the genie back in the bottle, as it were? It does to me.

Add to this China’s history of similar incidents. Even the deadly SARS virus has escaped — twice — from the Beijing lab where it was (and probably is) being used in experiments. Both “man-made” epidemics were quickly contained, but neither would have happened at all if proper safety precautions had been taken.

And then there is this little-known fact: Some Chinese researchers are in the habit of selling their laboratory animals to street vendors after they have finished experimenting on them.

Admittedly, this article brings a number of cogent points forward

Additionally, although the speculation on the genesis doesn’t help provide a vaccine for the virus, it does give us pause to think.

It should cause us to become more reluctant to make our own government more powerful and more socialistic.

It should cause us to reserve our trust when dealing with socialist governments (not only the Chinese, but also the Italians and others).

Evidence that China hid the truth

According to Tucker Carlson of Fox News, the coronavirus pandemic was avoidable and China hid the truth about it from the beginning.

On January 1st of this year, The Global Times —  that’s an English language Chinese propaganda outlet — reported that eight people had been arrested for spreading “rumors” about a pneumonia outbreak in Wuhan in China.

Those rumors were shared by eight physicians. They described the illness on WeChat, a Chinese social media app. Now, it’s obvious what they were warning about.

During the week of January 11th through January 17th, Wuhan authorities insisted there were no new cases of this mysterious disease. That of course, was a lie and a deadly one. We’ve got to emphasize that.

This calamity, this coronavirus pandemic, was avoidable. It happened because China hid the truth about what was happening from the rest of the world. They’re still trying to do that.

WhoDunItWhether from stupidity or greed, people outside of China, including in this country, are playing along as if on script. On January 15th, the World Health Organization parroted the Chinese government. WHO claimed there was “no clear evidence the coronavirus could spread person to person.” The World Health Organization said that, and of course, it was a lie.

Every day at White House news conferences about coronavirus, brainless reporters waste the public’s time with complaints that the administration calls the Chinese coronavirus “Chinese.” On Wednesday, an ABC reporter did it.

(Read more at Fox News)

There are additional considerations above and beyond knowing that both China and the UN may have deceived us

First, indications also point toward the WHO having made an early error in estimating the deadliness of the coronavirus.

The flaws of a socialized medicine system, a liberal government, and an aging population come out

In a second article by Fox News, the author points out how coronavirus proliferated in a nation where the socialized medical system was failing, the liberal government allowed open borders, and an aging population became exposed.

Once the beacon of European fun, frivolity, fashion, food, and passion, Italy has fast fallen into the shadows of a ghost nation, debauched by the coronavirus, a cracking medical infrastructure, and rising death toll.

Outside of China, the illustrious nation of 60.5 million has become the focal point of the outbreak, with the second-highest number of infections. As of Wednesday afternoon, almost 14,500 people were documented to have contracted the disease and almost 3,000 people have already died. The past 24 hours have brought about the country’s highest single-day spike in deaths, claiming the lives of over 475 people. More than 2,000 people are hospitalized and in intensive care.

So what went wrong?

“The massive and sudden surge of seriously and critically ill patients has completely overwhelmed hospitals in the northern region of Italy,” Dr. Dena Grayson, a Florida-based medical doctor and biotechnology consultant, explained. “This sudden surge has caused the case-fatality rate to skyrocket in the northern region of Italy, because there simply aren’t enough ICU beds or ventilators for every patient, forcing doctors with the grim decision of picking who gets the ICU bed – and has a chance of surviving – versus who doesn’t, and likely won’t survive.”

Moreover, Grayson stressed, Italians have lagged in broad-based coronavirus testing, despite it proving effective in combating the spread.

“In one small town near Venice, where aggressive testing and retesting was employed — even of people with NO symptoms — coupled with contact tracing and strict quarantines, the spread of the virus was completely stopped, showing that South Korea’s approach can be applied in other countries with great success.”

According to one Rome-based security expert, who requested anonymity as not authorized to speak on the record, intelligence reports alerted the government to the potential pandemic just days after its infiltrated China late last year. But weeks went by before any serious action was taken in Rome.

And then, it was a little too late.

“Everyone was just being told it was China’s problem,” said the source. “That it wouldn’t come here.”

(Read more at Fox News)

So, with a really old population, a heath care system that involves long lines and sharing equipment — What can go wrong?

In Italy (where the population includes a large segment spanning 55 to 98 and beyond), there has been an explosion of cases of coronavirus.

In addition to the large segment of the population that is aged, there are the considerations created by the socialized healthcare system that have a caused a smaller number of hospital beds to be available (as compared to the system in Germany). Additionally, that same system has created a situation where equipment had to be shared between larger groups of patients.

Add to all of this, Italy enjoyed a liberal citizenry and government that initially allowed open borders and cross-cultural acceptance (as demonstrated in the following video).

The placard beside the Chinese man says (in Italian and Chinese) “I’m a human. Free me from prejudice.”

I wonder whether any (or how many) cases of coronavirus were transmitted due to this display.

To reiterate the refutation of the ridiculous claim from the press: It’s not racist to point out the virus came from China

Breitbart reports the words of Dr. Fauci (director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases), who points out the origin of the virus.

During a Friday interview on Fox & Friends,  Dr. Anthony Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, discussed COVID-19 and its spread in the United States.

With some from China suggesting the coronavirus was a weapon devised by the U.S. military and deployed in Wuhan and Democrats claiming that saying the disease originated in China is xenophobic, Fauci said “there’s no doubt” it came from China.

“It absolutely came from Wuhan,” Fauci stated. “There’s no doubt about that.”

Three stories of good news concerning coronavirus

  1. One hundred and fifty thousand immigrants from seventy-two nations with coronavirus stopped at border

The Washington Examiner reported in a 11 March 2020 article that 150,000 immigrants from 72 nations with coronavirus have been stopped at border.

Some 150,000 illegal immigrants from 72 nations with cases of the coronavirus have been apprehended or deemed inadmissible from entering the United States since November, raising the ongoing border crisis to a potential public health threat, according to officials.

ReturnToMexicoPolicyFruitsNew figures provided to Secrets show that over half of the nearly 300,000 illegal immigrants apprehended or deemed “inadmissible” this fiscal year came from nations with cases of the coronavirus, including China, Italy, Iran, and South Korea.

The administration has been bracing for a federal court decision that would junk its “remain in Mexico” policy and open the doors on the southwest border. But the U.S. Supreme Court Wednesday put that on hold as legal arguments on both sides continue in the liberal 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals, which oversees Arizona and California.

“The border/immigration situation has taken on a whole new dynamic; it’s a public health threat,” said an official.

Secrets recently reported that 328 Chinese immigrants had been seized illegally crossing the border since the virus outbreak began in China.

So far, 150,958 immigrants from 72 nations with the virus have been stopped at the border. DHS has sought to return, repatriate, and remove as many as possible.

What’s more, another 43,000 from Latin nations including Venezuela, El Salvador, Guatemala, Haiti and Nicaragua — nations that haven’t reported the virus — have been turned away to wait.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection officials said last week none of the immigrants stopped by agents showed signs of the virus.

The administration has been making the case that continuing the so-called Migrant Protection Protocols that keep immigrants in Mexico pending approval to come into the U.S. to seek asylum is both an important national security and health security issue.

“MPP is all the more critical to keep Americans safe and healthy, which can only be accomplished through lawful and orderly migration,” said an official.

Another said, “We have a unique public health threat posed by individuals arriving unlawfully at the border, where migrants, law enforcement officials, frontline personnel, and the American public are put at risk. All it would take is a single infected individual to impact the detained migrant community within DHS facilities. Without proper precautions, which can only happen through orderly, lawful migration, the virus threatens to spread rapidly. Any halting of MPP would exacerbate this threat.”

Should the policy be lifted, holding stations run by the Department of Homeland Security would immediately fill up, and, there is the potential that the spillover would have to be shipped to facilities around the country.

Luckily, the Supreme Court has decided to uphold President Trump’s right to keep this policy

Even the liberal-left, Trump bashing CNN reported that the Supreme court upheld Trump’s “Remain in Mexico” policy.

In this age of Coronavirus panic, at least the Supreme court seems more reasonable than Bernie and Biden, both of whom pledged to open the border.

  1. Mullah who said Coronavirus was Allah’s punishment
    catches …

This comes from the department of “if you are going to claim an illness constitutes divine punishment on a group, make sure you don’t also catch the illness.” According to a MEMRI article published on 28 February 2020, one Iraqi Shi’ite scholar claimed that the Coronavirus was Allah’s punishment of China for their mockery of Islam.

Shi’ite Iraqi Islamic scholar Hadi Al-Modarresi, who is based in Qom, Iran, said in a video that was uploaded to the Internet on February 28, 2020 that the spread of coronavirus is undoubtedly an act of Allah that is divine punishment against the Chinese for their treatment, mockery, and disrespect towards Muslims and Islam. In early March, online sources reported that Al-Modarresi contracted coronavirus.

HadiAl-ModarresiHadi Al-Modarresi: “It is obvious that the spread of this virus is an act of Allah. How do we know this? The spread of the coronavirus began in China, an ancient and vast country, the population of which makes up one seventh of humanity. More than a billion people live in that country. The authorities in that country are tyrannical and they laid siege to more than a million Muslims and placed them under house arrest. The journalists in that country began to mock the niqab of Muslim women and they forced Muslim men to eat pork and drink wine. Allah sent a disease upon them and this disease laid siege to 40 million [Chinese people]. The same niqab that they mocked has been forced upon them, both men and women, by Allah, by means of the state authorities and officials.

[…]

“Islam forbade people from eating insects, but [the Chinese] mocked this matter. And there you have it, this disease spread from the world of animals – be it bats, ants, or snakes, the result is the same – to the human world and it has scared humanity in its entirety.”

Occasionally, you just have to laugh

While I don’t minimize the risk of suffering to this man, the eternal risk to his soul by following a twisting of the message of the gospel will cost him much more.

Still, in this case, you just have to step back and laugh when someone gets hoisted on his own petard.

petard

Of course, other pieces of good news float all around this story. First, the good news that (in spite of both our self-righteousness [Romans 10:3] and sin [Romans 3:23]), God loves us and even this man and wants both us and him in heaven, if he (or we) would only accept the gift [John 3:16]. Another piece of good news previously blogged here is that Iranians have been turning to Christ due to the heavy hand of the regime, one-on-one evangelism, and the calling of God through dreams. Maybe this man can be reached.

  1. Most coronavirus patients recover, still anxiety, fear loom

According to an Associated Press article published 11 March 2020, most coronavirus patients recover. Still, with all of the media-driven hype, everyone is anxious. Therefore, it is really surprising when a bit of truth leaks out through the main stream media (as highlighted by the bolding, which is mine).

Amid all the fears, quarantines and stockpiling of food, it has been easy to ignore the fact that more than 60,000 people have recovered from the coronavirus spreading around the globe.

recovered
A recovered patient

The disease can cause varying degrees of illness and is especially troublesome for older adults and people with existing health problems, who are at risk of severe effects, including pneumonia. But for most of those affected, coronavirus creates only mild or moderate symptoms, such as fever and cough, with the vast majority recovering from the virus.

According to the World Health Organization, people with mild illness recover in about two weeks, while those with more severe ailments may take three to six weeks to rebound. In mainland China, where the virus first exploded, more than 80,000 people have been diagnosed, but more than 60,000 already have recovered.

Because the difference in impact can be so great, global health authorities have the difficult task of alerting the public to the virus’ dangers without creating panic.

Already, the widespread consequences of the virus have been staggering, sending shock waves through the world’s financial markets. Global oil prices sustained their worst percentage losses since the the Gulf War in 1991, and new restrictions were imposed in Italy and in Israel as the Holy Week approached.

But even some of the most vulnerable patients can fight their way through the disease.

Charlie Campbell’s father, 89-year-old Eugene Campbell, has been diagnosed with the coronavirus and is hospitalized in Edmonds, Washington. Charlie Campbell said his father’s doctor is cautiously optimistic, adding, “Under normal circumstances, he would discharge my dad, but these aren’t normal circumstances.”

Who would think that the truth might leak out of the main stream media

Among all of the coverage of the hype, who would think that the news that “most patients recover” would be reported? Additionally, who would think that a caption to a graphic within the same article might point out that many cases have recovered? The take-away from that may be a conclusion that a medical doctor brought out during a radio interview on AM 740 KTRH: many people have probably caught the coronavirus without noticing that they had it and have recovered (thence, the mortality rate of this disease may be multiple times lower than originally projected).

Speak to the Texas Republican Party

The Texas Republican Propositions, my suggestions, and a Biblical reasoning

The propositions put forward by Texas Republicans seek to get the pulse of the grass roots.

Therefore, I encourage you to inform yourself and vote on these propositions.

The following table includes the text of the proposition items, my suggestion for a vote, a reason for my suggestion, and a Bible verse backing that suggestion.

Prop Text: Yes / No ? Why: Verse & Explaination
Prop 1:
Texas should not restrict or prohibit prayer in public schools. Yes. It happened that while Jesus was praying in a certain place, after he had finished, one of His disciples said to Him, “Lord, teach us to pray just as John also taught his disciples.” (Luke 11:1 NASB)

The best way to teach about prayer will be to teach it at home. However, to allow the use of prayer in school can only benefit.

Prop 2:
Texas should reject restrictions on the right to keep and bear arms. Yes. Rescue the weak and the needy; deliver them out of the hand of the wicked. (Psalm 82:4 NASB)

We must have the opportunity to protect ourselves and others.

Prop 3:
Texas should ban the practice of taxpayer-funded lobbying, which allows your tax dollars to be spent on lobbyists who work against the taxpayer. Yes. Do not rob the poor because he is poor, or crush the afflicted at the gate; (Proverbs 22:2 NASB)

This prevents the powerful state from using the money of the people against the people.

Prop 4:
Texas should support the construction of a physical barrier and use existing defense-grade surveillance equipment along the entire southern border of Texas. Yes. Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord. The people whom He has choses for His own inheritance. (Psalm 33:12 NASB)

Because God recognizes the separations of nations and honors the nations that honor Him, people need to be able to defend their own borders.

Prop 5:
Texas parents or legal guardians of public school children under the age of 18 should be the sole decision makers for all their children’s healthcare decisions including, but not limited to, psychological assessment and treatment, contraception, and sex education. Yes. But if anyone does not provide for his own, and especially for those of his household, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever. (1 Timothy 5:8 NASB)

It is up to the parents (especially the father) to protect the children.

Prop 6:
Texas should ban chemical castration, puberty blockers, cross-sex hormones, and genital mutilation surgery on all minor children for transition purposes, given that Texas children as young as three (3) are being transitioned from their biological sex to the opposite sex. No. For each will bear his own load. (Galatians 6:5 NASB)

This proposition contradicts (in essence) the previous. It removes a “no” that the parent must voice and introduces the possibility that the state will make other decisions for the child without consulting the parents.

Prop 7:
Texans should protect and preserve all historical monuments, artifacts, and buildings, such as the Alamo Cenotaph and our beloved Alamo, and should oppose any reimagining of the Alamo site. Yes. So these stones shall become a memorial to the sons of Israel forever. (Joshua 4:7b NASB)

The importance of having a physical reminder of the past comes through here.

Prop 8:
Texas election officials should heed the directives of the Office of the Governor to purge illegal voters from the voter rolls and verify that each new registered voter is a U.S. Citizen. Yes. Stand firm, therefore, having girded your loins with truth. (Ephesians 6:14a NASB)

We must encourage truth among those who we entrust with governmental power.

Prop 9:
Bail in Texas should be based only on a person’s danger to society and risk of flight, not that person’s ability to pay. Yes. When the righteous increase, the people rejoice. But when a wicked man rules, people groan. (Proverbs 29:2 NASB)

The release of murderers by social justice judges has resulted in the murder of innocents.

Prop 10:
Texas should limit our state legislators’ terms to 12 years. Yes. for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23 NASB)

Because we are imperfect people, limiting the amount of power any one person has over us only makes sense.

Four reasons to make certain the press feel the heat

  1. “Christian” magazine calls for Trump’s removal

Christianity Today took another step toward main stream media when it quoted only from the Democrat side of the impeachment scandal and parroted the Democrat call for the President’s removal.

n our founding documents, Billy Graham explains that Christianity Today will help evangelical Christians interpret the news in a manner that reflects their faith. The impeachment of Donald Trump is a significant event in the story of our republic. It requires comment.

The typical CT approach is to stay above the fray and allow Christians with different political convictions to make their arguments in the public square, to encourage all to pursue justice according to their convictions and treat their political opposition as charitably as possible. We want CT to be a place that welcomes Christians from across the political spectrum, and reminds everyone that politics is not the end and purpose of our being. We take pride in the fact, for instance, that politics does not dominate our homepage.

That said, we do feel it necessary from time to time to make our own opinions on political matters clear—always, as Graham encouraged us, doing so with both conviction and love. We love and pray for our president, as we love and pray for leaders (as well as ordinary citizens) on both sides of the political aisle.

Let’s grant this to the president: The Democrats have had it out for him from day one, and therefore nearly everything they do is under a cloud of partisan suspicion. This has led many to suspect not only motives but facts in these recent impeachment hearings. And, no, Mr. Trump did not have a serious opportunity to offer his side of the story in the House hearings on impeachment.

But the facts in this instance are unambiguous: The president of the United States attempted to use his political power to coerce a foreign leader to harass and discredit one of the president’s political opponents. That is not only a violation of the Constitution; more importantly, it is profoundly immoral.

(Read more at Christianity Today, even though that would profoundly waste time)

This magazine’s un-Christian act follows a tradition of pro-media, anti-Christian comments

This “Christian” magazine made this assertion just as Christianity Today previously tried to convince Christians of the rightness of:

  • Accepting the world’s view of welfare over promoting charity within the church and
  • Not standing against the deviancy of transgenderism (although the magazine does not mention the high suicide rate of transgenderism).

Christianity Today has decided to try to convince Christians to stand against the continued presidency of Donald Trump. However, there are these problems with their argument:

  1. They did not consider the testimony of Representative Doug Collins in the last day of debate where he said:

As constitutional scholar Jonathan Turley (and I would challenge to say he’s probably the most respected — and we all know it — a Democrat who did not vote for the President) said under oath, “There was no bribery. There was no extortion, no obstruction of justice, and no abuse of power.” Based on the facts, based on the truth, based on the lack of evidence, Turley called it “the fastest, thinnest, and weakest impeachment in the U.S. history.” Such a definitive answer should be the end of all of this.

  2. If talking to world leaders and making quid-pro-quo deals is their problem, one must ask why they did not apply the same standard to Obama (who was whittling away our missile defenses) when he was caught on a live microphone talking to Russian President Medvedev:

Tell Vlad, after the election, I’ll be more flexible.

  3. If corruption is an issue for the Christianity Today, one has to ask why they did not hold Senator Menendez to their high standard (and, notably, he still serves as a Democrat). For we all know that the Daily Mail reported:

Senator Bob Menendez only ‘likes the youngest and newest girls’ says Dominican prostitute who ‘attended alleged sex parties with him’

  4. For all of their articles on forgiving the ways of the world and deviance like transgenderism &mdash this article included — I do not remember that many articles telling us to forgive Donald Trump.

For an alternate view from their Democrat-parroting, anti-Biblical view, consider the quotes and tweets cited by the Daily Caller. Chief among the tweets cited are the following:

  1. NYT Editorial Board: ‘Impeach’ Trump, But ‘Resist The Pull Of Partisanship’

The Daily Caller points out how the New York Times wants to seem unbiased while being biased.

The New York Times editorial board suggested Saturday that Congress needs to impeach President Donald Trump.

“In the end, the story told by the two articles of impeachment approved on Friday morning by the House Judiciary Committee is short, simple and damning,” The Times wrote.

“President Donald Trump abused the power of his office by strong-arming Ukraine, a vulnerable ally, holding up hundreds of millions of dollars in military aid until it agreed to help him influence the 2020 election by digging up dirt on a political rival,” the board argued in what is a recapitulation of what House Democrats have been saying since start of the impeachment inquiry drama.

The Times suggested the president was “caught in the act” and then proceeded to show “unprecedented, categorical and indiscriminate defiance” even after being issued multiple subpoenas. Because Trump “made it impossible for Congress to carry out fully its constitutionally mandated oversight role,” the editors accuse the president of trespassing “the separation of powers, a safeguard of the American republic.”

The Times noted that impeachment will move to the full House of Representatives on Wednesday.

For reasons like those shown in the above article, we need to resist the NYTwits

We need to avoid the NYTwit app. We need not pick up a paper copy of that vile rag. And, unless it is needed to prove a point with some idiot lib who still accepts them as a “paper of record,” there is no reason to reference the online version (as I have for the reason of trying to convince those who see it as a “paper of record.”)

Mind you, here, I did not actually refer first to the NYTwits.

  1. Unfit To Print Episode 34: IG Report Debunks Media’s Biggest Lies

The Daily Caller took the IG report and debunked the media’s biggest lies.

The IG report on FISA abuse finally dropped this week, and the media is still reeling from all of the lies it uncovered.

In this special episode of “Unfit to Print,” host Amber Athey is running through the craziest things the media said about Rep. Devin Nunes, the Steele dossier, Carter Page, and more.

Namely, the IG report found that the Steele dossier was “internet rumor” yet was used by the FBI to launch illegal surveillance against the Trump campaign’s Carter Page, who was falsely accused of being a Russian agent.

The media is going to be very embarrassed this week as they run through all of the silly things they said about Crossfire Hurricane — CNN has already issued a correction admitting the campaign was spied on by “confidential human informants.”

(Read more at the Daily Caller)

Of course, Carter Page should be able to sue the socks off of multiple entities

Without listening to this review, I can tell you that the IG report revealed 17 instances where the law was broken. While the IG says that there was no biases evident within the FBI, that may only mean that nobody confessed.

  1. Local media admits a border wall in Laredo will happen, like it or not

The Laredo Morning Times reports in a 16 December 2019 article something that the main stream media wants to ignore or deny. The border wall will be built in Laredo.

With or without Congress’ blessing, the Trump administration is moving money around to fund the construction of a wall in Laredo — and they’re acting quickly.

In his meeting with Laredo officials this week, Mark Morgan, acting commissioner of U.S. Customs and Border Protection, was upfront about the “different pockets of money” they have to fund wall construction in Laredo, according to Mayor Pete Saenz.

“He was clear. ‘We’ve got the money, we’re moving forward, whether you cooperate or not,’” Saenz recalled of their conversation. “… I thought we had more leverage going in, but apparently not.”

President Donald Trump is demanding that 450 miles of border wall be constructed in 2020, which would mark the fulfillment of his campaign promise in time for the November election.

And Webb and Zapata counties are wall-free and ripe for the taking as far as the Department of Homeland Security is concerned. This stretch of riverfront is their first priority for new wall construction.

Even as Trump’s ability to use budgeted military funding for wall construction has been shot down by two federal district judges, officials are planning to use more of this money plus counternarcotics funding to get the wall built in and around Laredo, according to Rep. Henry Cuellar.

Plus, Congress is lined up to appropriate another $1.4 billion for the border wall next week in order to avoid another government shutdown.

But if the city were to cooperate with the Trump administration, they could receive a little reward — a mile of more aesthetically pleasing, levee-style wall from the railroad bridge to bridge 2, leaving an unimpeded view of Mexico from the Outlet Shoppes, La Posada Hotel and Tres Laredos Park.

This is called a bulkhead. It would create a kind of sharp cliff above the river, and serve as a promenade and sloping park above.

The price will be City Council’s signature on right of entry documents for the feds to conduct surveys on the rest of their 10 miles of riverfront property, from Laredo College to Slaughter Park.

This is the Trump administration’s key to what they need most: speed.

If a local paper can figure it out, why can’t the main stream media?

Of course, they probably have. They just want to keep you in the dark.

Five stories that happened while Democrats pushed the impeachment scam

  1. New round of murderers, sex offenders, gangsters nabbed at border

OneNewsNow reports on a round of murderers, sex offenders, and cartel members caught at the border.

Border Patrol Chief Carla ProvostBorder Patrol Chief Carla Provost announced that over the past two months, scores of felons have been nabbed before breaking into the United States at the southern border.

“Since the beginning of the new fiscal year, which started in October, U.S. Customs and Border Protection agents have arrested dozens of sex offenders, convicted murderers and violent gang members attempting to enter the United States illegally,” Townhall reported.

Nabbing the importing of crime

Last month, a medley of dangerous gang members was apprehended before they had the opportunity to victimize American citizens – again.

“In October – just starting the new fiscal year – Border Patrol agents have already arrested 55 gang members,” Provost tweeted Thursday. “They are affiliated with, among others: Paisas, Surenos, MS-13, Latin Kings [and] 18th Street.

Preventative measures along the southern border of the Lone Star State have effectively curbed crime before it happens.

“Agents apprehended a convicted murderer as he attempted to illegally reenter the United States near Carrizo Springs TX,” the USBP Chief posted on Twitter Thursday. “Strong border security is necessary to identify & prevent dangerous people like this from entering the country.”

Last month alone, hundreds of illegals with criminal track records were nabbed before they could commit more crimes in America.

“Already this fiscal year – in the month of October – Border Patrol agents arrested 292 aliens with prior criminal convictions,” Provost announced in her recent series of tweets. “307 criminal aliens encountered by agents in October were found to be wanted by law enforcement or had outstanding warrants.”

It is reported that U.S. citizens living in border states are enjoying higher levels of security as Border Patrol ramps up its effort to keep neighborhoods in the states safe.

“Border Patrol agents in @CBPRGV, TX, arrested 2 convicted murderers in separate events in recent days – one w/ a conviction out of San Diego County, CA, & the other out of McAllen, TX,” Provost tweeted Tuesday. “We’re here to keep dangerous people from entering the community.”

Many attempted repeat sexual offenders are being nabbed before they can find new victims in America.

“Border Patrol agents arrested a previously deported sex offender as he attempted to illegally reenter the United States near Calexico, CA,” another Twitter post from Provost read on Monday. “The man has a prior conviction for assault with sexual motivation out of Clark County, WA.”

Children are also reaping the benefits of heightened security.

“Border Patrol arrested a sex offender near Dulzura, CA, for illegal reentry,” Border Patrol tweeted on November 15. “He has a prior conviction, w/an 8-year sentence, for continuous sexual abuse of a child out of CA. Strong border security helps keep criminals off the street.”

Any news of success at the border seems to have recently been lost

Just as the media has forgotten this story, they have glossed over the 78 miles of replacement wall and 450 miles of wall planned finished by 2020. Likewise, they have ignored the efforts of private group We Build the Wall as they continue to build in South Texas.

  1. Twitter Allows Pedophiles to Discuss Attraction to Minors

Breitbart notes in a 26 November 2019 article that Twitter now allows pedophiles to discuss attraction to minors.

TwitterLogoIn the past week alone, it was reported that Twitter has suspended journalist Andy Ngo for tweeting inconvenient facts about the purported “epidemic” of transgender deaths, and undercover journalism organization Project Veritas from running recruitment ads. But if you’re a pedophile who wants to discuss your attraction to minors — Twitter’s just fine with that.

Big League Politics discovered a little-noticed, quietly enacted Twitter rule change from March, which says “Discussions related to child sexual exploitation as a phenomenon or attraction towards minors are permitted, provided they don’t promote or glorify child sexual exploitation in any way.”

So, if you post politically inconvenient yet accurate statistical facts, as Ngo did, you get suspended. But if you discuss “attraction towards minors,” Twitter explicitly allows it.

It goes without saying that Twitter’s policy did not arise out of some blanket commitment to free speech. Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey has specifically rejected such commitments, rubbishing the idea that Twitter is the “free speech wing of the free speech party,” as one VP at the company described it in 2012.

In an interview with Wired last year, Dorsey said that the “free speech wing” comment was a “joke” that was taken too seriously.

“This quote around ‘free speech wing of the free speech party’ was never, was never a mission of the company. It was never a descriptor of the company that we gave ourselves,” said Dorsey.

The Twitter CEO continued, saying that a commitment to free speech “comes with the realization that freedom of expression may adversely impact other people’s fundamental human rights, such as privacy, such as physical security.”

Over recent years, the trends in deviant sexuality seem to center on the children

Whether we are talking about the recent instances of Drag Queen story hour at local libraries or the court cases of pastors who stood against having molesters read to young children, all of it has to do with the children.

Therefore, it is most important that Christians focus on our mandate from God to protect children in Psalm 82:3; Proverbs 31:8-9; Isaiah 1:17; James 1:27, and a number of other verses. Additionally, in Luke 17:2 and Matthew 18:6, we are warned “whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in Me to stumble, it would be better for him to have a heavy millstone hung around his neck, and to be drowned in the depth of the sea.” So, care must be taken to protect children from stumbling.

  1. Five-Time Freed Illegal Alien Accused of Killing 70-Year-Old Father of Two

Breitbart reports in a 26 November 2019 article that a 70-year-old American has been killed by an illegal alien who was freed five times.

Ulises Mondragon UmanzorAn illegal alien who was repeatedly freed from Florida law enforcement custody is now accused of killing a 70-year-old husband and father of two in a hit-and-run crash.

Ulises Mondragon Umanzor, a 30-year-old illegal alien from El Salvador, allegedly illegally drove a forklift while illegally working for a construction company and hit 70-year-old James “Jim” Zakos, according to the Broward County Sheriff’s Office.

While Zakos was rushed to the hospital and pronounced dead, Umanzor allegedly fled the crash and eventually got off the forklift and walked away even as an eyewitness told him to return to the traffic accident scene.

Zakos, his obituary notes, leaves behind his two children, Alexandra and TJ, his wife Celine, his two sisters Maria and Margaret, and his parents Thomas and Catherine.

“Many will smile when they hear his name,” his obituary states.

According to records, Umanzor was arrested in September 2011 in Palm Beach County for driving without a license and driving with an open container of alcohol. Despite being an illegal alien, he was released and re-arrested in February 2012 for again driving without a license.

After again being released from custody, Umanzor was arrested in November 2012 for possession of cocaine. The illegal alien was released again from custody and arrested in September 2016 and May 2018 for driving without a license.

Much like the illegal alien who murdered Kate Steinle, this illegal alien might provoke Americans to awareness

Hopefully, this will cause an up-welling in the hearts of Americans.

However, the truth of the matter is that this burdens me too much to see straight. While we cannot victimize the innocent (and especially my neighbors who have lived in Texas, New Mexico, and other border states for generations), we also cannot allow our governments to release offenders multiple times just because the bureaucrats feel like acting out social justice warrior tendencies.

  1. Florida court says Ilhan Omar is a Qatari asset who passed secrets to Iran

The Washington Examiner reports from a Florida court that an accused jihadi has implicated Ilhan Omar in a purported international scheme.

IlhanOmarIlhan Omar, the Minnesota congresswoman, has said she is the victim of Saudi propaganda after she was accused of being a “Qatari asset” and conduit to Iran during a Florida court case.

Kuwaiti-born Canadian businessman Alan Bender testified in the recent trial of Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad al Thani, a member of the Qatari royal family who is accused of ordering his American bodyguard to murder two people and of holding an American citizen hostage. His deposition was obtained by Saudi-funded outlet Al Arabiya English, which reported the allegations Monday.

A representative for Omar responded: “Since the day she was elected, Saudi Arabian trolls and mouthpieces have targeted Omar with misinformation and conspiracy theories. The latest, outlandishly absurd story from a Saudi-funded media outlet is, of course, false and only the latest in that trend.”

According to Bender, three Qatari officials asked him to recruit American politicians to be Qatari assets. He added he was told when he objected that several people were already on the payroll, including Omar, whom they called the “jewel in the crown.”

Bender said Qatar’s Secretary to the Emir for Security Affairs Mohammad bin Ahmed bin Abdullah al Masnad told him that the country “recruited Ilhan Omar from even way before she thought about becoming a government official … They groomed her and arranged the foundation, the grounds, for her to get into politics way before she even showed interest. They convinced her.”

He alleged that Omar cooperated with Qatar’s request and received cash payments. He also claimed that she used her position in the House of Representatives to access sensitive information, which she relayed to Qatar and through them Iran. According to the deposition, Bender further told the court that Omar actively recruited other politicians on behalf of the nation.

“If it wasn’t for our cash, Ilhan Omar would be just another black Somali refugee in America collecting welfare and serving tables on weekends,” he claimed the officials told him.

Several journalists have pointed out that they have seen no evidence to back up Bender’s claims and warned that the allegations against Omar could be part of a Saudi disinformation campaign, considering Qatar’s shaky historical relationship with the country and the fact that a Saudi-backed publication first picked up the deposition. In 2017, Saudi Arabia cut its diplomatic ties with Qatar.

On the day of the first accusations against Kavanaugh, Omar called for him to step down

On the first day of accusations against now-Justice Kavanaugh, Representative Omar called for him to leave the public eye and step down. After his confirmation, she called for the impeachment of Kavanaugh and Trump.

And, in the mean time, when Representative Omar made multiple anti-Semitic statements that she would not retract, she sent out her surrogates to make excuses for her.

Why, now, does Omar expect that an immediate price might not be asked of her?

  1. Chick-fil-A donates thousands of dollars to Southern Poverty Law Center during 2017

OneNewsNow reports that the Family Research Center was angered by the donation of $2,500 to the Southern Poverty Law Center. Considering that the attempted assassin of the FRC personnel got his information from the SPLC, this seems more than understandable.

A mega-popular fast-food chain that has been the target of left-wing hate for years has been tied to a far-left organization that targets conservatives.

splc_southern_poverty_law_center_1024_512_75_s_c1
Southern Poverty Law Center

A blistering Townhall.com story published Nov. 26 reports the Chick-fil-A Foundation donated $2,500 in 2017 to the Southern Poverty Law Center, a donation that angered the D.C.-based Family Research Council and its president, Tony Perkins.

“It’s time for Christians,” Perkins concludes, “to find a fast food alternative to Chick-fil-A.”

One obvious reason for such a statement is Chick-fil-A’s history: The company has stood out from liberal-supporting corporations for its Christian-based roots, and for its generous donations to faith-based causes. Yet those donations have now ceased after Chick-fil-A endured years of left-wing outrage over its CEO’s personal stance on biblical marriage and because the company is expanding into liberal enclaves, such as Toronto, where the Chick-fil-A brand is unwelcome.

A second reason for Perkins’ frustration is more personal: A far-left gunman used the SPLC “hate map” in 2012 to choose FRC as a target. Only a scuffle in the FRC lobby with building manager Leo Johnson, who was wounded, prevented a mass attack on the FRC staff.

The gunman told the FBI he chose FRC due to the SPLC website. He entered the building with a bag of Chick-fil-A sandwiches, planning to place them on the bodies of his dead victims.

FRC and Perkins fired off an email to supporters Wednesday morning, linking to the Townhall story and blasting Chick-fil-A for not only turning its back on groups such as The Salvation Army but for donating to “one of the most extreme anti-Christian groups in America.”

The Townhall story, written by pro-life activist Ryan Bomberger, digs into years of Chick-fil-A donations that are listed in required IRS forms known as 990s. The story lists numerous other donations to left-wing causes, too, at the same time the corporation is under fire for breaking ties with groups such as The Salvation Army and Fellowship of Christian Athletes.

The regularity of revelations regarding Chick-Fil-A almost points toward a campaign

Considering that, until the week of 22 November 2019, few knew of the charitable giving habits of corporate Chick-Fil-A and that the details of Chick-Fil-A’s giving seem to have switched from supporting Christian charities who guide and aid the poor to supporting social justice causes aligned with the left and LGBT agenda.

However, in truth, it seems that Chick-Fil-A capitulated in 2017 and has been attempting to walk the rail of the fence for several years. By the fact that the LGBTQ crowd has not backed off in the least in making additional demands, this jumping of paths seems counter-intuitive. That is, rather than following the commands of the Bible where we are told to prefer one another in brotherly love (Romans 12:10) — Chick-Fil-A decides to fake it and try to appease the world.

At that point three points from Christian thinking present themselves:

  • First, nothing remains a secret. As the Bible says,

Accordingly, whatever you have said in the dark will be heard in the light, and what you have whispered in the inner rooms will be proclaimed upon the housetops. (Luke 12:3 NASB)

  • Second, you cannot have two masters. You cannot align yourself with those who would support ongoing sexual deviancy and those who walk with God. Mind you, all of us fall, but Christians get up from the sin and try to re-align themselves with God.

No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and wealth. (Matthew 6:24 NASB)

  • Finally, although I cannot tell you the spiritual condition of those who made decisions for Chick-Fil-A, it would seem that those decisions are bearing fruit.

Good news that went unreported in main stream media

74 Miles of Border Wall Completed, 158 More Under Construction

In a 26 October 2019 Breitbart article, we get a report on the 74 miles of border wall completed and the 158 miles still under construction.

WallBorder Patrol officials say communities along the border are safer following the completion of 74 miles of improved border wall systems. Those systems include 30-foot bollard walls, new border-access roads, lighting, and electronic surveillance. Construction on an additional 158 miles is underway with 450 miles scheduled to be completed by the end of 2020.

Construction crews under the direction of U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) issued a report on Friday showing the completion of 74 miles of replacement border wall systems along the southwestern border with Mexico. Officials stated that 158 miles of additional walls are currently under construction and 276 miles are in a “pre-construction phase,” according to information provided to Breitbart News by CBP officials.

The new border wall system in Calexico, California, is the first section of replacement wall to be completed, El Centro Sector Assistant Chief Patrol Agent Joshua C. Devack said in a video presentation on Friday. “Since the border wall system was completed in this area, local business and commerce is thriving and areas once considered dangerous are now secure,” Devack stated. “In addition, overall crime in this area has been significantly reduced thus making our community a safer place to live and work.”

Prior to the new wall systems installed in January 2017, many sections of the border were relatively unsecured. Those areas consisted of landing mat walls that could easily be cut or climbed and other barriers designed only to stop vehicle traffic, Devack reported. The newly completed wall system includes 30-foot high bollard walls, new border-access roads allowing faster response by agents, additional lighting, and electronic surveillance systems, which provide advance warning and faster detection of border-crossing activities.

Nobody in the main stream press will report this win

humantraffickingJust as they will not report the reduction in human trafficking due to the construction of the border wall, main stream media outlets refuse to credit President Trump for building the wall.

Oddly, in the age of #MeToo, none of the main stream media want to champion a wall that reduces forced prostitution, forced marriage, child abduction, and other similar crimes.

Although their hypocrisy sticks in my craw, the opportunity for news distribution by alternative news sources does find support with me. In other words, I like supporting outlets like Breitbart, One America News, and Newsmax by visiting their websites and buying products there.

Lives saved: nine illegal aliens rescued from Texas border river

Breitbart continues its tradition of reporting on the heroics of Customs and Border Control agents.

Del-Rio-Migrant-RescueBorder Patrol agents assigned to the Texas-Mexico border region rescued nine migrant family members in two incidents from possibly drowning while illegally crossing the border from Mexico. The incidents occurred in the El Paso and Del Rio Sectors.

Del Rio Station Marine Unit agents patrolling the Rio Grande near the Del Rio Port of Entry on October 17 encountered a group of six Haitian migrants attempting to wade across the swiftly moving river currents. The group included two infants, according to information obtained from Del Rio Sector Border Patrol officials.

The agents observed the group appearing to struggle during the crossing and maneuvered their boat into position to affect a rescue. The agents pulled the Haitian migrants, including two children under the age of one, into their boat and transported them to the bank where ground-based agents evaluated their medical condition. The agents determined none of the migrants sustained injuries and transported them to the Del Rio Station for processing under current U.S. Customs and Border Protection guidelines.

Again, the main stream will not report heroics of the Border Patrol

Served_Congress_twice_subpoenaed_Bryan_PaglianoJust as Jeff Sessions would not prosecute Bryan Pagliano because he was “too close to Hillary,” the main stream media will not cover the saving of illegal aliens by Border Patrol agents because those agents are “too close to Trump.” Acknowledging the heroics of the Border Patrol would, in effect, provide a win for President Donald Trump in their eyes.

And, as the unhinged headlines on the Washington Post show, those members of the main stream media will not give an inch to President Trump.

Durham’s probe into possible FBI misconduct expanded based on new evidence, sources say

According to a 22 October 2019 article at Fox News, several sources report that Durham’s investigation into FBI misconduct has been based on new evidence.

U.S. Attorney John Durham’s investigation into the origins of the FBI’s 2016 Russia probe has expanded based on new evidence uncovered during a recent trip to Rome with Attorney General Bill Barr, sources told Fox News on Tuesday.

The sources said Durham was “very interested” to question former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper and former CIA Director John Brennan, an anti-Trump critic who recently dismissed the idea.

The two Obama administration officials were at the helm when the unverified and largely discredited Steele dossier, written by British ex-spy Christopher Steele and funded by the Hillary Clinton campaign and Democratic National Committee, was used to justify a secret surveillance warrant against former Trump adviser Carter Page.

In Italy, Barr reportedly told embassy officials he “needed a conference room to meet high-level Italian security agents where he could be sure no one was listening in.”

A source in the Italian Ministry of Justice told The Daily Beast earlier this month that Barr and Durham were played a taped deposition made by Joseph Mifsud, the professor who allegedly told ex-Trump aide George Papadopoulos that the Russians had “dirt” on Hillary Clinton. Mifsud reportedly was explaining to authorities in the deposition why people would want to harm him, and why he needed police protection.

Papadopoulos has suggested he was connected with Mifsud as part of a setup orchestrated by intelligence agencies.

Additionally, reports have it that FBI top lawyer James Baker may be turning

According to the Washington Examiner and other sources, the FBI’s former top lawyer James Baker (pictured at the top of this post) may be cooperating with the investigation. If this is true, James Comey and other players in the Obama-FBI soft coup against Trump might want to have their own deals in place (or be in a country that has no extradition treaty with the United States).

Texas Right to Life got a voice outside the Texas Democrat debate

According to Texas Right to Life, they were able to provide a strong pro-life voice outside of the Houston Democrat Debate (even though it was totally embargoed by the main stream media and the local press).

Pro-life-democratic-debate-billboard-abortion-1Today, 10 of the most radical anti-Life Democrats will take the debate stage in Houston, trying to convince America — and more importantly, Texas — to vote pro-abortion in 2020.

But the media and the Democratic Party want to hide the issue of abortion at all costs! They know their position is out-of-step with most Americans; that’s why moderators didn’t ask about abortion in the last debate, and other than crazy Kamala Harris, none of the candidates dared to bring up their stance.

Analysts agree that Democrats have a real chance at turning Texas blue. You must expose them now… before we’re too late.

Thanks to your support thus far, Texas Right to Life will launch a Pro-Life billboard truck outside tonight’s Houston debate.

The message “Abortion separates children from their families” will make candidates and voters consider the issue, but only YOU can make them pick a side: Life or death. Biblical truth or anti-Life lies.

Your gift today can expose Democrats’ abortion agenda.

The Democratic Party platform calls the decision to murder an innocent unborn child a “right,” and every major candidate in the field supports totally unrestricted abortions until birth (sometimes even after birth!) with taxpayers like you footing the bill!!

And these Democrats are cunning. They know that only 6% of Americans agree with this rabidly anti-Life platform, so the mainstream media covering tonight’s debate will do everything possible to hide and disguise the abortion holocaust.

If I had not seen this truck, I would not have known to search the news venues for it

Had I not been required by my daily commute to drive by the outskirts of TSU on the day of the debate, I would not have known about the presence of this truck. Additionally, had the Texas Right to Life not posted a picture of their truck on Facebook, I would not have been able to provide a picture (since I’m not so good at taking pictures on the fly while driving).

Therefore, I have to both scold local media for not covering the whole story provided by the Democrat debate and thank Texas Right to Life for their getting the word out themselves.

President Trump is “stacking” the 9th Circuit

We hear through the Daily Caller that President Trump has been accused of “stacking” a court that continually gets overruled.

TrumpWinningPresident Donald Trump named two nominees for the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals on Friday, tapping a federal prosecutor and a conservative appellate lawyer for the west coast court.

The nominees, Patrick Bumatay and Lawrence VanDyke, are likely to elicit strong opposition for Democrats. If confirmed, the pair would raise the number of Trump’s 9th Circuit appointees to nine, with one other nomination pending.

Trump has clashed frequently with the 9th Circuit, which upheld injunctions against top administration policy priorities like the travel ban. His criticisms drew a rare rebuke from Chief Justice John Roberts, who rejected Trump’s charge that judges are sometimes motivated by politics.

Friday’s nomination is the latest twist in Bumatay’s meandering path to the federal bench. Trump nominated Bumatay to the 9th Circuit in October 2018 over the objections of California Democratic Sens. Dianne Feinstein and Kamala Harris, but his nomination lapsed with the end of the previous Congress. Thereafter, Trump nominated Bumatay to a federal trial court in southern California. That nomination was pending before the Senate until Friday, when the president changed course and named Bumatay to the 9th Circuit.

Bumatay currently advises senior officials at the Department of Justice on organized crime, incarceration and the national opioid strategy, according to a dossier compiled by supporters of his nomination. In that capacity, he helps manage federal law enforcement agencies like the Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) and the Federal Bureau of Prisons. Before coming to Washington D.C. in 2017 he was a federal prosecutor in southern California.

“Patrick Bumatay will make a terrific judge on the 9th Circuit,” former Attorney General Jeff Sessions said in a statement following his nomination. “He has dedicated his career to upholding the rule of law. Patrick’s many fine qualities, including his integrity, intellect, and collegiality, make him exceedingly worthy of this position. And his fidelity to the text of the Constitution is exactly what this country needs.”

News to the Left: It is the President’s prerogative to provide judicial nominees

As much as I did not like the nominations made by Obama, I tolerated them and prayed for them to gain wisdom. Likewise, when Obama made appointments to predominantly conservative courts, I did not protest (but just prayed and hoped for a turning of the political tide). However, now that the court that has done more to overturn President Trump’s actions is being “fixed” — now the lefties cry out.

‘It is exactly what Hillary Clinton’s campaign did’: Newt Gingrich turns the tables on The View

The Daily Caller details how Newt straightened out the story-line the women of The View were trying to spin.

HuntsmanGingrich sat in for Joy Behar, and Former Republican House Speaker Newt Gingrich turned the tables Tuesday on “The View,” laying out the differences between President Donald Trump and former President Bill Clinton with regard to impeachment.

Abby Huntsman pressed him to revisit the Clinton impeachment — over which he presided — for the sake of comparison.<

Huntsman began by pointing out that Gingrich had once occupied House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s seat. “You did go down the impeachment road,” she said. “If you were Nancy today and you had a president that did exactly what Trump did that was a Democrat, what would you do?”

“Well first of all, I’m sitting here trying to be Joy and now you want me to be Nancy. All I can tell you is this is getting to be a pretty heavy load to carry psychologically,” Gingrich laughed. “But there are two big differences.”

Gingrich then laid out the fact that an independent counsel had delivered a report indicating that Clinton was guilty of a felony. “I think had speaker Pelosi referred the Ukrainian phone call to a special counsel, they could do a lot of things,” he added.

The former speaker also mentioned sending someone to interview former Democratic House Judiciary Committee Chairman Peter Rodino, who spearheaded the Nixon impeachment inquiry, in order to ensure that the process was fair.

“Rodino had a set of rules that were very bipartisan and we brought them back and implemented exactly what Rodino did,” Gingrich explained. “Today, the White House doesn’t have a lawyer in these hearings. Secretary Pompeo’s staff went into a hearing, he has no lawyer there, has no idea what they’re saying.”

Thanks to Newt Gingrich for going to hostile venues like this to spread a message of logic

As much as Newt did a great job of explaining how the current hearings are unjust, you have to wonder about how much of the message got through to the audience. That is, one has to wonder whether the audience just responds to a “cheer” sign that got turned on once or twice too often.

Religious liberty cases reaching nation’s highest court

According to s 33 October 2019 article at OneNewsNow, a number of religious liberty cases have made it to the Supreme Court.

Supreme-CourtExpect to hear a lot more about the Supreme Court and religious freedom cases in coming months.

“There are two big religious freedom cases at the Supreme Court right now,” advises attorney Luke Goodrich of Becket, a religious liberty law firm. “One involves federal employment discrimination laws, and the question is whether employers can be punished if they discriminate against their employees based on sexual orientation or gender identity.”

That case is R.G. & G.R. Harris Funeral Homes Inc. v. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. Oral arguments took place Oct. 8.

“The religious freedom issue there is there are thousands of religious organizations across the country that have traditional beliefs about sexuality and they often expect their employees to uphold those traditional religious beliefs,” says Goodrich. “If the Supreme Court goes the wrong way, all of those religious organizations would suddenly be exposed to new lawsuits and new potential liability.”

Another religious freedom case at the Supreme Court is Espinoza v. Montana Department of Revenue. At issue is government funding for religious schools.

Goodrich says that issue is over a state program that provides tax breaks to Montanans who donate to a scholarship program. Those scholarship funds can be used at private schools, both religious and secular.

Pray for wisdom and God’s will

Pray that, through whatever may need to happen, God’s wisdom will be granted to the justices and that we will see God’s will prevail.

Under the heading of liberal hypocrisy that went unreported:

Democrats compared Clinton’s impeachment to lynching

As reported in the Daily Caller, Democrats used the term “lynching” multiple times when defending Bill Clinton.

Democrats compared President Bill Clinton’s impeachment trial to a lynching as they debated whether to impeach him in 1998.

President Donald Trump similarly compared the impeachment inquiry he’s facing to a lynching, and Democrats quickly condemned his comment as racist.

“It makes you no better than those who burn crosses. It makes you no better than those who wear hoods and white robes,” Democratic Texas Rep. Al Green said Tuesday.

In December 1998, congressional representatives debated whether or not to impeach a president for the first time since the House voted to impeach President Andrew Johnson on Feb. 24, 1868, according to The New York Times. Multiple representatives compared Clinton’s impeachment to a lynching, and several others condemned it as a Republican attempt to remove Clinton from office.

Democratic Illinois Rep. Danny K. Davis condemned the impeachment trial as “a lynching,” and former Democratic Rhode Island Rep. Patrick J. Kennedy called it “a political lynching.”

Former Democratic Michigan Rep. John Conyers Jr. said that he was seeing a “Republican coup d’etat” — a phrase that Democratic Reps. Jerrold Nadler of New York and Maxine Waters of California both used as well.

Rather than reporting the peoples’ ideas, Pew pushes polling propaganda

OneNewsNow reports on Pew, saying that they seem less interested in reporting the thoughts of the people than in molding those thoughts.

Pollsters are at it again, pushing sketchy polls – not to reflect public opinion, but to shape it. This is called propaganda, a popular tool for dictators who want to control the information flow from an all-powerful government to their subjects, the people.

What once passed for journalism is now mostly propaganda, an effort by major media organizations to insert themselves into the political process, to push their agenda, even if it means throwing any pretense of journalistic principle and integrity to the wind. Look at the Project Veritas undercover videos of CNN for the latest example.

Polls of any type are designed to take a scientific snapshot of opinion at a particular point in time. A small sample is taken from a larger population – and if the sample is representative of the entire population, then the poll should be valid.

When cooking a sauce, the chef might taste a bit to determine if additional seasoning is needed. If the sauce is mixed properly, then the small sample represents the entire sauce. Polls work the same way. A skewed sample will produce bogus results. This may be accidental or intentional. Which is it? I’ll report, you decide, to coin Fox News’s latest catch phrase.

Pew Research Center is the latest pollster to weigh in on President Trump and impeachment. Let’s see whether their polling sample sauce was well stirred before they took a taste.

analyzing-poll-resultsPew sampled 3,487 “randomly selected” adults between October 1-13. That may or may not be representative of the general population, but given that only about half of eligible voters actually vote in presidential elections, a better sample would be registered, or even likely, voters.

Who was in that sample? Of the 3,487 total sampled, 1,453 were or leaned Republican, 1,942 were or leaned Democrat. In other words, 56 percent Democrat and only 42 percent Republican, a 14-point difference favoring Democrats.

Odd thing is that Pew doesn’t think that we notice

Pew must think of the general public the same way that a con artist thinks of the mark.

During my years as an undergrad, I took a course on marketing writing and, as I researched another topic, ran across a study of the attitudes that con artists hold toward those who they attempt to fool and swindle. According to that study, con artists almost across the board think of their “marks” as being stupid and beneath contempt. In fact, these con artists often might assign nick names to the “marks” that might thinly veil the contempt the con artist holds.  Based on this, one wonders what the original versions of the graphs at Pew might be labelled.

MadJoeWould we see a resurrection of Hillary’s “deplorable” or Biden’s “dregs of society?”

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez lets her hypocrisy shine as bright as the sun

Breitbart reports in a 21 October 2019 article on the hypocrisy of AOC as she calls out income inequality just after endorsing the multi-millionaire Bernie Sanders.

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) on Sunday decried income inequality and the “top one percent” just one day after endorsing a millionaire.
Ocasio-Cortez tweeted a Business Insider report, which found that an individual needs to make “at least $500,000 a year” in order to make the “top one percent” in the United States.

“A lot of people think that folks like your typical lawyer or doctor are in ‘the 1%.’ That may be bc it’s hard to conceive how bad runaway inequality has gotten,” Ocasio-Cortez wrote.

“Even this number – $500k – reflects top income, & even THAT doesn’t hold a candle to recognizing concentrated wealth,” she added:

{tweet https://twitter.com/AOC/status/1185992674517626880 ]

The socialist lawmaker’s public complaint regarding the reality of “income inequality” comes just one day after she endorsed Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) – a millionaire – for president.

According to Forbes, Sanders has a $2.5 million fortune, which he acquired via “estate, investments, government pensions—and earnings from three books,” many of which lament the very system that made his wealth possible. While his senator’s salary is $174,000 per year, Forbes notes that the socialist lawmaker has made a “six-figure annual salary since he joined Congress in 1991”:

With 28 years in office and a current salary of $174,000, Sanders is entitled to around $73,000 a year from the federal government for the rest of his life. If he were to sell that guaranteed income stream for a lump-sum pile of cash, Forbes figures he could get around $650,000 for it.

In 2016, Sanders purchased a $575,000 lake house – dubbed a “summer home” – in the Champlain Islands, making the socialist the proud owner of not one, not two, but three homes.

Hopefully, if the only news of AOC is bad news, she will go away

Since this woman see-saws from demanding that climate change will destroy us in 12 years to insisting that this demand was a joke, maybe the electorate will see through her. However, since she knows how to apply make-up and has a large Twitter following, this may take some work.

Cases where left-wingers were so unhinged that they did crazy things

WaPo calls al Baghdadi an “austere religious scholar”

As reported in a 28 October 2019 article in USA Today, Twitter erupted in mocking tweets in response to the Washington Post obituaary that announced “Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, austere religious scholar at helm of Islamic State, dies at 48.”

The Washington Post is facing backlash after a headline characterized the Islamic State leader who was killed in a U.S. raid over the weekend as an “austere religious scholar.” The headline was quickly changed, but critics say it sugar coated the terror inflicted by Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi.

President Donald Trump announced Sunday morning that al-Baghdadi was killed when he detonated a vest he was wearing after being cornered by U.S. forces on Saturday evening.

The Post article says that when al-Baghdadi first rose as a leader of ISIS, he was a relatively unheard of “austere religious scholar with wire-frame glasses and no known aptitude for fighting and killing.”

Its original headline read, “Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, Islamic State’s ‘terrorist-in-chief,’ dies at 48.” But it was later changed to “Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, austere religious scholar at helm of Islamic State, dies at 48.”

As of Monday morning, the headline was “Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, extremist leader of Islamic State, dies at 48.”

As noted later in the article, al-Baghdadi encouraged followers to commit acts of violence and terror. He was also perhaps the most wanted terrorist leader in the world and the highest ranking since the death of Osama bin Laden in 2011.

The weirdest thing about all this seems to be the way WaPo writers persisted

In addition to the obituary issues, it seems that Max Boot went to the mat for al-Baghdadi, saying that the rapist and murderer who committed suicide while killing three children was “not a coward.”

‘Angry’ Katie Hill Blames Right-Wing Media for ‘Electronic Assault’ Leading to Her Resignation

Breitbart reports in a 28 October 2019 article how Katie Hill doesn’t blame either her affair with a female staffer or another affair with a male staffer for her having to resign, but blames “right-wing” conspirators.

Rep. Katie Hill (D-CA) released a statement on Monday formally announcing her resignation following allegations of inappropriate sexual relationships with congressional staffers, blaming “right-wing media” and “hateful political operatives” for “enabling and perpetuating my husband’s abuse by providing him a platform.”

Hill confirmed the reports of her resignation in a video announcement released Monday. Her resignation comes weeks after mounting allegations of inappropriate sexual relationships with congressional staffers, including a “throuple” relationship with a female staffer and a separate affair with a male staffer.

While Hill issued a relatively ambiguous statement confirming a relationship with a staffer the day after denying an affair with a male member of her congressional staff, she directly blamed her departure on a “coordinated campaign carried out by the right-wing media and Republican opponents,” accusing both of “enabling and perpetuating my husband’s abuse by providing him a platform” and calling it “disgusting and unforgivable.”

“They will be held accountable, but I will not allow myself to be a distraction from the constitutional crisis we’re faced with and the critical work of my colleagues, and so I have to take my personal fight outside the halls of Congress,” she said, stressing the importance of legislative policies — ensuring “quality health care, housing we can afford, and a government that works for the people” — that Democrats have largely ignored due to their endless pursual of impeachment.

“I cannot let this horrible smear campaign get in the way of that work,” she continued, telling her supporters that they “showed the nation that there is hope even in the darkest of moments.”

Hill added that she will “take on a new fight” to “ensure that no one else has to live through what I just experienced.”

“Some people call this electronic assault, digital exploitation. Others call it revenge porn. As the victim of it, I call it one of the worst things that we can do to our sisters and our daughters,” she said, adding that she will “not allow my experience to scare off other young women or girls from running for office.”

“For the sake of all of us, we cannot let that happen,” she added.

“I’m hurt. I’m angry. The path that I saw so clearly for myself is no longer there,” Hill continued. “I’ve had moments where I’ve wondered what the last three years of my life were for and if it was worth it.”

House Democrats to Vote on Impeachment Procedures Thursday

Within the words of a 28 October 2019 Breitbart article, it seems that San Fran Nan has capitulated to the demands of Republicans within the Senate (or there will be no trial after the “impeachment”).

house-to-vote-on-impeachment-inquiry-processHouse Democrats will vote on Thursday to establish the procedures for their ongoing impeachment investigation against President Donald Trump, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) announced Monday afternoon.
Rep. Jim McGovern (D-MA), chairman of House Rules Committee, said he will introduce the resolution’s text for approval on Tuesday and the panel will move to mark it up by Wednesday.

“As committees continue to gather evidence and prepare to present their findings, I will be introducing a resolution to ensure transparency and provide a clear path forward,” McGovern said in a statement. “This is the right thing to do for the institution and the American people.”

The development comes as House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff (D-CA) faces pressure from House and Senate Republicans to bring the impeachment probe from out of the shadows.

In recent weeks, the House intel panel has interviewed several current and former Trump administration officials inside Capitol Hill’s SCIF room, also known as a sensitive compartmented information facility. Arguing against the secret bunker’s use, Republicans say no discussions involving classified information have occurred inside and assert Democrats are using it to selectively leaking excerpts of witnesses’ testimony to the media. Nearly 30 House Republicans attempted to storm the chamber on Wednesday as Laura Cooper, a senior Department of Defense official working on Ukraine, was scheduled to testify.

“Behind those doors they intend to overturn the results of an American presidential election. We want to know what is going on,” Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL), who led the group of frustrated Republicans, said at a press conference prior to attempting to enter the secured room.

Meanwhile, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) and Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Lindsey Graham (R-SC) have introduced a resolution to condemn Pelosi and Schiff’s handling of the impeachment inquiry, which has already garnered 50 Republican cosponsors. Sens. Mitt Romney (R-UT), Susan Collins (R-ME), and Lisa Murkowski (R-AK) do not support the measure.

Will Pelosi actually hold a vote or will she try to fool the Senate?

Can we expect a Kabuki theater between the lying Democrats that want to deny due process and the Never-Trumper Republicans that want to accomplish their globalist dreams? Or can we expect Pelosi to drop the pretense of a vote when she just decides to keep holding her closed-door hearings?

Stories you probably did not hear about impeachment

NPR Regrets Interviewing Republican Who Called Out Schiff and Democrats on ‘Political Impeachment’

Breitbart reports on the National Public Radio interview that varied from their selected topic.

IdiotSchiffNational Public Radio (NPR) regrets a live radio interview with a Republican lawmaker who called out Democrats and Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA), chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, which is overseeing investigations against President Donald Trump, for what he called a “political impeachment.”

NPR sent out its public editor, Elizabeth Jensen, to defend the taxpayer-funded left-wing media outlet for it “journalistically strong” coverage of the impeachment effort after its supporters criticized an interview with Rep. Jim Banks (R-IN):

Unlike some of the critics, I think that overall the coverage has the handling of misinformation in an interview on Wednesday’s All Things Considered with Rep. Jim Banks, an Indiana Republican, raised journalistic concerns that I don’t think are explained away as purely partisan posturing (although there has also been plenty of partisan pushback from both sides about the interview). And once again, the journalistic challenge resulted from a format choice: the decision to interview a politician on live radio.

Live interviews have increased greatly on NPR’s newsmagazines in recent years. As readers of this column well know, listeners (and I) have raised many concerns about their execution.

When they work, live interviews are a valuable way to hear the point of view of a newsmaker in their own words. An interview runs into problems, however, when the guest says something that is provably inaccurate or seriously misleading. At that point the host is obligated to push back to correct it, which to some listeners sounds partisan (and it can be unpleasant and unproductive when an interview turns argumentative).

(Read more at National Public Radio)

If only NPR would come clean, it would be much more simple

All that they would have to do would be to change their banner. Once it read “NPR provides all news that supports the current narrative of liberals and Democrats.” Of course, for anyone who has listened to 10 minutes of PAll Things Considered, Morning Edition, or Here and Now would know that a liberal slant predominates just about everything that comes across their airwaves.

Democrats make arguments against impeachment

If you listen to the Democrats in the following video, you will hear them make strong arguments against impeachment.

Speaker Testimony
Biden: It is simply antithetical to our constitutional democracy to use impeachment to overturn an election on partisan grounds.
Pelosi: I think it has dramatic impact on the confidence the American people have in government.
Nadler: The effect of impeachment is to overturn the popular will of the voters as expressed in a national election.
Schumer: Their hatred of the President exceeds their caring about this country and its people.
Biden: It would trample on the choice made by the people through the electoral process and do great harm.
Nadler: The people elected the President. They still support him. We have no right to overturn the considered judgement of the American people.
Sanders: But what the American people are saying loudly and clearly is — let’s get on with the business of the American people.
Nadler: Impeachment of a president is an undoing of a national election …
Biden: … it violates the independence of the presidency and it usurps the people’s voice.
Nadler: They are ripping asunder our votes. They are telling us our votes don’t count and that the election must be set aside.
Waters: Send a message through the ballot box. That’s what we do in this democracy.
Green: I’m concerned that, if we don’t impeach this President, he will get re-elected.

I will agree with all of these Democrats on these statements

However, unlike the times that we endured while Bill Clinton philandered and lied about the philandering, we do not have a media that wants to cover for the President.

So, it is completely up to the reasonable people of America to look at how things are being twisted and to vote accordingly.

Going into the next election, we need to remember that:

  1. Pelosi has not put out a level field for impeachment like the Republicans of the Clinton era did. She has not yet put the impeachment inquiry up to a vote, which would:
    • Allow both sides to issue subpoenas.
    • Allow the defenders of Trump to mount a defense.
    • Take the anonymous accusers out of the shadows (since, in the American judicial system, we have the right to face our accusers).
  2. Adam Schiff lied into the Congressional record with his opening statements to the House Intelligence Committee (later calling it a “parody”).
  3. In conflict with most Americans’ sense of fairness, Democrats have not allowed Republicans to ask questions or participate in the impeachment hearings so far.

Women for Trump have organized a march

With a hat-tip to the Chris Salcedo Show, I have found that Women for America First has organized at least one march for 17 October 2019.

I would encourage all who can to attend this march

The more support we can provide, the less cocky the Democrats will be. Therefore, send money, attend marches, and attend rallies.

State Department testifies US diplomats gave Ukrainians a do-not-prosecute list

The One America News Network points out how US diplomats gave Ukrainian officials a do-not-prosecute list of Americans.

Trump ImpeachmentTop U.S. diplomats will testify this week on Capitol Hill, including former U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine Marie Yovanovitch and Deputy Secretary of State George Kent. Yovanovitch was removed from her post after she allegedly gave Ukrainian prosecutor Yuri Lutsenko a “do not prosecute” list of American allies she felt were above the law.

Also scheduled to testify is U.S. Ambassador to the European Union Gordon Sondland, who made headlines when private text messages between him and top Ukrainian officials were released. In the messages he confirmed there was never a request for a “quid pro quo of any kind” from the president. The texts follow the July phone call between President Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, where Trump congratulated Zelensky on his landslide victory.

“I actually spoke with President Trump just a few minutes before he placed the call and not only did the president call to congratulate president Zelensky, but also to begin the collaboration of charting the pathway forward with the U.S. support of Ukraine and a White House visit that’s upcoming for President Zelensky,” stated Sondland.

The U.S. Ambassador to the European Union and U.S. Special Envoy to Ukraine Kurt Volker made frequent visits to Ukraine in the hopes of improving U.S. relations. Volker has been interviewed in regards to the matter and although Democrats attempted to pry him for information they could use in their impeachment inquiry, he maintained the president’s innocence.

Add to this, Volker has come out attacking Democrats for their bias in using his report

Now it seems that the Democrats want to ignore Ambassador Volker because he has discredited their little lie about Trump and Ukraine.

Biden berates reporter for question on Ukraine ‘conflicts of interest’

The Daily Mail reports that Biden berated a reporter for asking him questions about Ukraine.

Joe Biden has lashed out at a reporter in response to a question about his family’s potential conflicts of interest in the Ukraine, insisting that press should focus on allegations against President Donald Trump.

BidenSnapsAt a Service Employees International Union forum in Los Angeles on Friday, Biden was asked about his work overseeing foreign policy for Ukraine as vice president while his son Hunter served on the board of a major Ukrainian company.

‘It’s not a conflict of interest. There’s been no indication of any conflict of interest, in Ukraine or anywhere else. Period,’ Biden snapped.

Asked how his son’s cushy $50,000-a-month gig didn’t at least create the appearance of a conflict of interest, Biden rejoined: ‘I’m not going to respond to that. Focus on this man. What he’s doing that no president has ever done. No president.’

Biden has previously demanded that reporters ‘ask the right questions’ and accused Trump of trying to ‘hijack’ the campaign with unfounded assertions that Biden and his son had corrupt dealings in Ukrainian business and politics.

In late September in Iowa, the former VP scolded a Fox News reporter who asked about his family’s ties to Ukraine. ‘You should be asking him the question: why is he on the phone with a foreign leader, trying to intimidate a foreign leader?’ he said.

‘This appears to be an overwhelming abuse of power. To get on the phone with a foreign leader who is looking for help from the United States and ask about me and imply things … this is outrageous. You have never seen anything like this from any president.’

Considering the number of days the press spent on covering Trump’s blow-up …

When you think back a few days to Trump;’s verbal bout with the press, it seemed that the talking heads would not let it go.

On the other hand, now that Joe Biden is the one on the catbird seat, the press does not want to mention the dust up.

Why did you mostly hear about impeachment?

The Democrats want to distract us from 2019 having the most illegal crossings in 12 years

The Washington Examiner reports that illegal crossings rose in 2019 while San Fran Nan blocked all debate on the border wall.

Border Patrol agents working along the United States-Mexico border took into custody approximately 851,000 people in the U.S. government’s fiscal 2019, marking the highest number of arrests since 2007, according to federal data exclusively obtained by the Washington Examiner.

borderwallBut the 40,000 people taken into custody in September is less than one-third of the 132,000 arrests made in May at the height of a surge of illegal immigrants.

Roughly 40,000 people were apprehended after crossing into Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, and California during the month of September. That number was added to the previous 11 months to bring fiscal 2019, which ran Oct. 1, 2018, through Sept. 30, to slightly more than 851,000 arrests. Those arrested for illegally crossing into the U.S. from Mexico may have claimed asylum once in custody, but that figure is not released by the government each month.

The 851,000 arrested at the southern border does not include the number of people who approached ports of entry, or border crossings, to claim asylum or pass through but were turned away. U.S. Customs and Border Protection, the Department of Homeland Security agency that oversees these figures, is expected to release this and related data in a few weeks.

As of Aug. 31, another 263,000 people were encountered at ports by the Office of Field Operations, a component of CBP. Border Patrol agents are stationed on the land between ports of entry while field operations officers stay at ports. These people are not arrested but are simply denied entry.

These numbers do not include additional arrests and denied port crossers at the U.S.-Canada border and along the Pacific and Atlantic coasts, nor does it include the September figure for those encountered at the ports.

Due to the fact that the Democrats have a complicit press and we are too easily distracted, this bait-and-switch might work

Unless the grassroots of the conservative movement gets out and points out how the press and Democrats are covering this and other failings, they will get away with it. Unless we continually post and talk about the murders at the hands of illegal aliens, the Democrats will win here.

Should we fail to point out that the Democrats’ sanctuary cities have become cesspools of crime, drug use, and disease, the Democrats will win here.

Should we not point out that Democrats have failed to deliver on the infrastructure, Medicare, or anything else.

Democrats in the Press and Congress twist the rules

Fox’s Ed Henry blasted for twisting question to exonerate Biden

As recounted by the One America News Network, Fox’s Ed Henry has been blasted for twisting a question to blame President Trump and exonerate former Vice President Biden (who confessed to doing what our president is accused of doing).

EdHenryConservative commentator Mark Levin blasted Fox News host Ed Henry for pushing a “dishonest” narrative regarding the president’s Ukraine call. Levin appeared as a guest during a Sunday interview on the network, where he talked about the president’s discussion with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenski.

Early in the interview, they discussed Joe Biden and his son’s business dealings in Ukraine. Soon enough, however, things got heated when Henry pressed Levin on whether or not he was “okay” with President Trump asking for “dirt” on Biden. Levin hit back by calling the question misleading and dishonest. He then pointed out that nowhere in the transcript of the call did the president ask for any kind of information on Biden or anyone for that matter.

Henry was appearing to reference House Intelligence Committee chairman Adam Schiff’s infamous dramatization of President Trump’s phone call with Zelenski. The shutdown quickly attracted the attention of the president, who retweeted over 20 reactions to the exchange.

This seems to be the norm for most main stream media

Lie, accept the lies of Democrats as gospel, and cry when you get caught.

Then blame Trump. Just because you’re a Democrat.

Democrats subpoena Giuliani for documents related to impeachment inquiry

Even though a vote has not been held (and, therefore, this is not a legal impeachment inquiry that would include real subpoenas), in contradiction to the concept of executive privilege, and despite lawyer-client confidentiality (already thoroughly undermined by the Mueller’s/Democrats’ raid on President Trump’s lawyer, Cohen), the Daily Caller points out how Democrats have insisted on receiving documents from President Trump’s lawyer.

Democratic lawmakers subpoenaed former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani Monday for documents related to the Democrats’ impeachment inquiry into President Donald Trump.

fullofschiff-liarcummings-natanengelHouse Democrats’ inquiry “includes an investigation of credible allegations that [Giuliani] acted as an agent of the President in a scheme to advance his personal political interests by abusing the power of the Office of the President,” Reps. Elijah Cummings, Adam Schiff, and Eliot Engel wrote in a letter to Giuliani Monday.

They asked Giuliani, Trump’s personal lawyer, to produce documents related to their request by Oct. 15. The move comes one day after Giuliani told ABC Sunday that he would not cooperate with Schiff, chairman of the House Intelligence Committee.

Cummings, Schiff, and Engel are investigating whether Trump attempted push Ukraine into probing former Vice President Joe Biden’s son, Hunter Biden, who sat on the board of a Ukrainian energy company while his dad was in the White House.

Giuliani alleges that Biden worked to remove a Ukrainian prosecutor who was investigating the company Hunter was affiliated with.

This should not surprise anyone, because Democrats have sunken lower during the last three years

We should expect that Democrats would have no respect for the lawyer-client relationship. They had no respect for it when Mueller combed through the files and computers of the President’s former lawyer, Michael Cohen.

For all of the things Democrats “passed” with great fanfare (with no Republican or presidential support — so it went nowhere), none of it was in support of the regular American who works to keep this nation together.

The problem with this inaction becomes magnified when you also consider the ways that attacks made through their maniacal search for impeachable offenses. For example, although General Flynn had once been determined to have told the truth, he was later convicted on the process crime of lying to the FBI.

Also consider the way CNN recorded and the FBI staged the early-morning raid on the home of Roger Stone, who was so little of a flight risk and threat that he was able to bond out during the morning of the same day. For nothing but the hope of finding some impeachable offense, this man was routed from his home at gunpoint at the command of a party that wants to disarm us all.

Coincidentally, now that it has come out that Mueller may have lied to Congress and the testimony against him seems every bit as convincing as the evidence held against Flynn, do you think that Mueller see years in prison?

Schiff ‘helped write’ whistleblower complaint, after House panel admits advance knowledge

According to The Greg Jarrett and Lifezette, Adam Schiff had prior knowledge of the whistleblower complaint (and helped write it).

From The Greg Jarrett, we find:

A spokesperson for Congressman Adam Schiff confirmed Wednesday that the whistleblower alleging misconduct by President Trump had contacted the legislator before officially filing his complaint.

Schiff&RedStain“A spokesman for House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff, D-Calif., acknowledged Wednesday that the whistleblower alleging misconduct in the White House had reached out to Schiff’s panel before filing a complaint — prompting President Trump, in an extraordinary afternoon press conference at the White House, to directly accuse Schiff of helping write the document,” reports Fox News.

“It shows that Schiff is a fraud. … I think it’s a scandal that he knew before,” said the President during a press conference at the White House. “I’d go a step further. I’d say he probably helped write it. … That’s a big story. He knew long before, and he helped write it too. It’s a scam.”

“Like other whistleblowers have done before and since under Republican and Democratic-controlled Committees, the whistleblower contacted the Committee for guidance on how to report possible wrongdoing within the jurisdiction of the Intelligence Community,” Patrick Boland, a spokesman for Schiff and the House Intelligence Committee, told Fox News. “This is a regular occurrence, given the Committee’s unique oversight role and responsibilities. Consistent with the Committee’s longstanding procedures, Committee staff appropriately advised the whistleblower to contact an Inspector General and to seek legal counsel.”

How many layers of lies can Schiff press into this investigation

Consider that Schiff lied:

  1. By creating his imagined dialogue between Trump and Zelensky (which he, naturally, called “parody” once he got called on it)
  2. By remaining in the investigation even though he was involved in reviewing (if not creating) the whistleblower story
  3. By likely setting up all of the whistleblower scenarios.

Trump supporters greet Pelosi in South Carolina: ‘Impeach Pelosi’

Breitbart reports in a 5 October article how San Fran Nan was greeted with a banner saying “Impeach Pelosi” when she went to speak at an event.

Donald Trump supporters in South Carolina sent a clear message to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) on Friday evening, flocking to her event’s venue and holding up signs to express their support of the president.

Pelosi-in-South-CarolinaPelosi was featured as the keynote speaker at a South Carolina Democratic Party fundraising event at the Hyatt Regency in Greenville, South Carolina, on Friday. Trump supporters gathered outside of the event’s venue to express their support for the president. Videos show supporters shouting “Trump” and holding American flags, Trump-Pence 2020 banners, and homemade signs reading, “Impeach Pelosi”

Make a real difference. Follow in the steps of these Resistance Resistance.

If Hillary and Pelosi with their compatriots in Antifa can constitute the resistance, then we can make a new group. We can resist the resistance. We can be the Resistance Resistance.

At every Maxine Waters fundraiser, Pelosi speech, and even their trips to their limos — we can stand up. While nobody who claims salvation can advocate the things that Mad Max called for her followers to do, we can surely defend the defenseless.

The ‘Never Trump’ Coalition that decided Eh, Nevermind, He’s Fine

According to even the biased writers at the New York Times, we find independents, conservatives, and Republicans have come to support the President of the United States.

BrentBozellThey signed open letters, dedicated a special magazine issue to criticism of him and swore he would tear at the fabric of this nation. Now they have become the president’s strongest defenders.

In 2016, Erick Erickson could not have been clearer. Donald Trump was “a racist” and “a fascist.” It was no wonder, Mr. Erickson wrote, that “so many people with swastikas in their Twitter profile pics” supported him. “I will not vote for Donald Trump. Ever,” he insisted, adding his voice to the chorus of Never Trump Republicans.

This past week, Mr. Erickson, a well-known conservative blogger, titled one of his pieces “I Support the President.” In three years, he had come completely around, a transformation that is a testament to President Trump’s remarkable consolidation of support inside the Republican Party. The effort to impeach the president, Mr. Erickson wrote, was a desperate move by people “who have never come to terms with him.”

“Never Trump” no more, conservatives have largely resigned themselves to a more accommodating state of mind: “Never mind Trump.” And their change in attitude helps to mute the much smaller group of conservative voices who remain highly critical of the president and have questioned his conduct.

Glenn Beck, the radio host who once called Mr. Trump “an immoral man who is absent decency or dignity,” now says that his defeat in 2020 would mark “the end of the country as we know it.” Senator Lindsey Graham of South Carolina, who so bitterly feuded with the president during the 2016 primaries that Mr. Trump gave out Mr. Graham’s cellphone number on national television, declared last week that impeachment was nothing but “a political setup.”

It can be difficult to remember that indignation and contempt for Mr. Trump once simmered in every corner of the conservative world. In August 2016, dozens of the most senior Republican national security officials signed a letter warning he would “put at risk our country’s national security and well-being.”

Female leaders of the anti-abortion movement joined together before the Iowa caucuses in 2016 and issued a joint statement declaring themselves “disgusted” at his behavior, saying he had “impugned the dignity of women.” National Review published an “Against Trump” issue that featured essays from 22 prominent conservatives who all made a case for why he should not be the Republican nominee.

At least half of those writers are now on the record making supportive comments about the president. Some, including Mr. Erickson and Mr. Beck, now fiercely defend Mr. Trump, joining many former foes who are speaking out loudly against the impeachment inquiry. Others who contributed to the issue, like Ed Meese, the attorney general under Ronald Reagan, have helped Mr. Trump plan his transition and build his administration.

A number of current supporters of Trump came from the ranks of other groups

As for myself, I supported Senator Cruz until candidate Trump eclipsed the Senator. I do admit that, like all Republicans (and most independents and conservatives), I think for myself. Therefore, when the administration steps away from my values, I speak up (maybe not in this blog, depending on how busy I am, but often here).

So, when Trump initially announced pulling out and abandoning the Kurds, I called. When the administration voiced support for the LGBT community, I pointed out how their agenda stands antithetical to God’s best in our lives. Still, in this age of grace and in this current political climate, God may be allowing us time to seek Him (however, our enemies here are putting up every obstacle to their possible loss of power).

Still, whether it is because of his support of religious rights or his appointment of conservative justices or his removal of inane bureaucratic regulations or his implementation of capitalism in place of Obama’s dream, I support my President.
