The Obama record on deportations: Likely not the Deporter in Chief
These figures demonstrate the Obama administration’s focus on formal removals instead of returns, with formal removals under Obama far outpacing those of the Bush and Clinton administrations even as returns were far lower. This policy to ensure that removals have a lasting legal consequence likely reduced the number of unauthorized immigrants attempting to cross the border multiple times: Overall, recidivism along the border fell from 29 percent in FY 2007 to 14 percent in FY 2014, and was much higher for migrants given voluntary return (31 percent) than for those subjected to formal removal (18 percent), according to CDS data.
However, if you listen to the interview between Ed Bonderenka and former border agent Chris Harris, you will find that those “voluntary returns” occurred sometimes several times per day and each was counted by the Obama regime as a deportation.

Hunter Biden’s opening statement to investigators collides with witness testimony and email evidence
In his opening statement to the House Oversight Committee on Wednesday, Hunter Biden told investigators that he did not involve his father in his business deals.
Yet, his assertion directly conflicts with publicly available evidence, Hunter Biden’s own statements, and documentation and witness testimony secured by the committee.
“I am here today to provide the Committees with the one uncontestable fact that should end the false premise of this inquiry: I did not involve my father in my business. Not while I was a practicing lawyer, not in my investments or transactions domestic or international, not as a board member, and not as an artist. Never,” he said in his opening statement obtained by Punchbowl News.
Contrary to that claim, here are some of the documented instances where Hunter Biden involved his father, Joe Biden, in his business deals with foreign partners:
Cafe Milano Meetings
In 2014, Hunter Biden hosted a dinner meeting at Cafe Milano in the Georgetown neighborhood of Washington, D.C. Biden’s emails show that he invited two oligarchs with whom he was in business: widow of the former Moscow mayor Yelena Baturina and Kazakhstani businessman Kenes Rakishev.
Devon Archer confirmed in his testimony with the Oversight Committee both Baturina and Rakishev were in attendance. Another Kazakhstani oligarch, the former Prime Minister Karim Massimov also reportedly attended. He also told investigators that then-Vice President Biden showed up at the meeting and interacted with the assembled partners.
In 2015, Hunter Biden hosted a similar gathering at the same upscale restaurant. He invited Burisma executive Vadim Pozharskyi, the point man between the Ukrainian gas company and the Biden associates. Emails and Archer’s testimony confirm Pozharksyi was present.
“Dear Hunter, thank you for inviting me to DC and giving an opportunity to meet your father and spent (sic) some time together,” Pozharskyi wrote Biden in an email following the dinner meeting. “It’s realty [sic] an honor and pleasure.”
Trip to Beijing aboard Air Force Two
In December 2013, Hunter Biden flew to Beijing aboard Air Force Two with his father during an official government trip. During the trip to China, Hunter Biden arranged a meeting between Joe Biden and Jonathan Li in the lobby of the hotel where they were staying.
Jonathan Li is a Chinese businessman who joined with Hunter Biden and his associates in forming BHR Partners, a private equity firm that was backed by several Chinese state owned enterprises, including the Bank of China.
“How do I go to Beijing, halfway around the world, and not see them for a cup of coffee?” Biden told The New Yorker magazine.
Naval Observatory Meeting
In testimony to the impeachment inquiry, Devon Archer told investigators that Hunter Biden arranged a meeting for a foreign client with his father at the official vice presidential residence, the Naval Observatory, Just the News previously reported.
In 2015, Hunter Biden brought Mark Holtzman – then the top official at Kazakhstan’s largest bank – and former Kazakhstani Prime Minister Karim Massimov, who had previously attended one of the Cafe Milano dinners alongside Rakishev, to the residence.
Archer said the meeting was to discuss Massimov’s candidacy to be the United Nations Secretary General. Hunter Biden and Archer were engaged in trying to secure business for Burisma in Kazakhstan at the time, hence the favor for such a prominent banker and the politically-connected oligarch, Archer said.

Democrat President Joe Biden’s administration will fill gaps in certain areas of former President Donald Trump’s border wall on the U.S. southern border as the illegal immigration crisis hits Washington, D.C., following a decision by Republican governors to transport thousands of illegal aliens to the nation’s capital.
The Associated Press noted that Biden “pledged during his campaign to cease all future wall construction,” but that his administration has now agreed to some additional barriers.
Controversial Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas authorized the project that will close four massive gaps in the border wall near Yuma, Arizona, which has been decimated by Biden’s border crisis.
The report suggested that part of the reason that Biden might have made closing those specific gaps a “priority” is because vulnerable Sen. Mark Kelly (D-AZ) is up for re-election and the current political winds could make it very difficult for him to hold onto his seat.
The development comes after Texas Republican Governor Greg Abbott effectively told Washington, D.C., Democrat Mayor Muriel Bowser to pound sand Thursday afternoon after she complained that the border state was flooding her city with illegal aliens.
So, when it comes to the group most known for their short chants, Biden chooses a multi-step solution to a problem (for once)
When dealing with a group of socialists who seem to relate to the public through attacks of the public, Biden has chosen to protect the illegal aliens by closing the gaps in the wall. This won’t necessarily deter the illegals from entering, but will direct them away from the steep cliffs and deep rivers that they have crossed.
Still, for Americans, he does nothing.

An injured migrant was rescued in the Arizona border mountains after he was abandoned by smugglers
Tucson Sector Border Patrol agents rescued a migrant with a leg injury. Human smugglers abandoned the migrant after his injury.
Tucson Sector Chief Patrol Agent John R. Modlin tweeted an image of a migrant with a severe leg injury being rescued by Border Patrol agents. The agents found the migrant after human smugglers left him to die following his leg injury.
The agents provided medical aid to the migrant and loaded him into a basked for transportation to a local hospital.
“Migrants face many dangers while crossing the border illegally. This includes being abandoned by the smuggler if they suffer an injury,” Chief Modlin warned.
Last month, agents carried out a similar rescue following a report of a migrant with a leg injury. Agents from the Brian A. Terry Border Patrol Station in southeast Arizona provided assistance to the Mexican national and transported the person to an awaiting helicopter crew, Breitbart Texas reported.

Seventy-three illegal aliens found in homes operated in affluent areas of Washington, D.C.
Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents found 73 illegal immigrants in homes believed to be operated by human smugglers in an affluent area of Washington D.C.
Sixty adults and 13 children were found living across six residential homes in D.C.’s northwest area, where the median home price is $750,000, NBC News reported. The news outlet reviewed internal documents from ICE, which didn’t list the addresses of the homes where the people were kept or how many were housed in a single home.
Illegal immigrants are regularly brought into the U.S. by human smugglers, who often charge thousands of dollars and are tied to drug cartels. These smugglers keep the immigrants hidden in places known as “stash houses,” NBC reported, usually in poor conditions without beds, running water, or air conditioning. The outlet noted that these homes aren’t usually so far from the U.S.-Mexico border.
White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre defended the Biden administration’s decision to fill in some gaps in the border wall system in the Yuma Sector amid the historic crisis at the U.S.-Mexico border, but she said it was racist to build a border wall when Donald Trump was president.
Going as far back as 2016 and as recently as 2019, Jean-Pierre repeatedly decried Trump’s plan to build a wall along the southern border.

Liberal sanctuary cities aren’t feeling so tolerant and accepting anymore as the influx of migrants being bused from Texas and Arizona are bringing the border crisis to their doors.
Washington D.C., Mayor Muriel Bowser has requested the district’s National Guard to help handle the crisis. Just 4,000 migrants have caused a “humanitarian crisis” and pushed the city to its “tipping point.” It took just 2,800 migrants for New York City Mayor Eric Adams to complain that the city’s resources were being strained. While border towns in Texas and Arizona are watching millions of migrants cross the border, big liberal cities are being brought to their knees by just a few thousand.
But isn’t this exactly what these cities and their Democratic mayors have asked for? Adams lashed out at the “callousness” of Texas and Arizona for sending migrants to the Big Apple, but Adams has proudly supported New York’s sanctuary status. He seems very upset that migrants are willingly boarding buses to go to his sanctuary city. Are they no longer welcome there?
Today it seems liberalism amounts to nothing but words. However, at the beginning of our nation, the liberal thought of supporting free speech, freedom of the press, and freedom of religion for all could have dire consequences. Some hung for it. Many others took bullets for it.

Migrant arrivals in DC amp up pressure on Biden over border enforcement
A steady flow of migrants arriving by bus in Washington, D.C., is dialing up pressure on the Biden administration over its handling of southern border enforcement and the effect it is having on the nation.
Washington Mayor Muriel Bowser (D) has called for the National Guard as it became clear that volunteer-led efforts to assist the migrants would be insufficient. More than 4,000 immigrants have arrived in Washington on more than 200 buses since April, and Bowser predicted the pace would quicken before calling for federal help.
“Tragically, many families arrive in Washington, DC with nowhere to go, or they remain in limbo seeking onward destinations across the United States,” Bowser wrote in her request. “With pledges from Texas and Arizona to continue these abhorrent operations indefinitely, the situation is dire, and we consider this a humanitarian crisis — one that could overwhelm our social support network without immediate and sustained federal intervention.”
Gov. Greg Abbott (R-TX) and Gov. Doug Ducey (R-AZ) have been sending busloads of immigrants who volunteered for the journey into the nation’s capital for four months, seeking to familiarize Washington’s politicians and journalists with the impact of illegal migration and protesting the end of Title 42.
The number of Border Patrol encounters with illegal border crossers rose from 646,822 in fiscal year 2020 to 1,956,519 in 2021 and to 2,002,604 so far in 2022. The Biden administration has allowed at least 1.25 million to remain in the country.
Despite the rising numbers, the White House initially dismissed the busing program as a political ploy that would not take hold.
“I think it’s pretty clear this is a publicity stunt. [Abbott’s] own office admits that a migrant would need to voluntarily be transported and that he can’t compel them to,” then-White House press secretary Jen Psaki said on April 7. “Because again, enforcement of our country’s immigration laws lies with the federal government, not a state. … The governor of Texas or any state does not have the legal authority to compel anyone to get on a bus.”
But thousands of volunteers have done just that in the weeks since, with most arriving at Union Station, in view of the Capitol dome. Psaki’s replacement, Karine Jean-Pierre, said Thursday that Ducey and Abbott are “using” the migrants as a “political tool.” A reporter pressed the issue, asking whether the White House would prefer for migrants to stay in small towns in Texas and Arizona rather than come to big cities.
“That is not what I said,” she responded. “They said that they’re sending migrants to big cities on purpose, using them as a political point. I’m saying that what Republicans are doing is wrong and there is a process in place, and we should follow the process.”
Hopefully, conservatives will not ease up on the pressure
Now that some liberals have started to see the light, I hope that our conservative leaders will not declare a premature victory and ease up on the pressure.

Biden says the quiet part by admitting that handing out ID’s incentivizes illegal aliens to break our laws
Republicans are sounding the alarm over President Joe Biden’s confirmed plans to give illegal migrants identification cards.
The plan, which is being developed by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), would allow illegals to have government issued ID’s in an effort to modernize paperwork.
“Currently, noncitizens receive paper documents from the federal government about their immigration status. Paper documents pose a security risk, are easily lost, and degrade rapidly in real-world use, creating inefficiencies for the government and noncitizens. Moving to a secure card will save the agency millions, free up resources, and ensure information is quickly accessible to DHS officials while reducing the agency’s FOIA backlog,” a spokesperson told the Epoch Times.
The cards will have a photograph, biographic identifiers and “cutting-edge security features to the mutual benefit of the government and noncitizens,” according to ICE.
However, several Republicans are voicing their concerns over the possibility, including the security and cost implications of the plan.
A letter from 16 Republicans addressed to the acting ICE Director details how they believe this is yet just another attempt to further allow illegal immigration into the U.S.

An illegal alien drives 85 illegals to the Texas border to pay his own smuggling fee
An illegal alien from Mexico pleaded guilty to trying to drive a tractor-trailer carrying 85 migrants through a Border Patrol checkpoint in Texas. The individuals inside suffered from suffocatingly high temperatures. The smuggling attempt came weeks before 53 migrants died in another trailer.
Recently, Jose Luis Vega Arzate, 31, went before U.S. Magistrate Judge Marina Garcia Marmolejo in Laredo where he pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to transport illegal aliens. Vega Arzate is from Nuevo Laredo, Mexico, and was in the country illegally at the time of his arrest. The man told authorities that he was driving as a way to pay off his own smuggling fees.
The case began on May 10, when Vega Arzate drove a tractor-trailer with 85 migrants hidden inside to a Border Patrol checkpoint just north of Laredo, court documents revealed.
During their initial inspection agents noticed that Vega Arzate spoke in broken English, was sweating, and appeared nervous. The agents told him to move to a secondary area where they would scan the vehicle with an X-ray device, however, Vega Arzate had trouble shifting the truck’s gears to comply.
Authorities used a police dog who signaled to the trailer. Agents apprehended 85 migrants and provided first aid.
If this driver is being charged in the deaths of the 53 who died near San Antonio in a sweltering trailer, why wasn’t he held in jail the way Kyle Rittenhouse was held?
When Kyle Rittenhouse defended himself against a known pedophile who started beating him with a steel-wheeled skateboard and a felon with a handgun, he was kept in jail for 87 days before his lawyers finally were able to arrange bail (and, naturally, he was released once acquitted).
So why, please tell me, has a non-citizen offender become a super-citizen who gets released although charged in the deaths of 53? Why does a boy who was cleaning graffiti from schools, protecting a business from rioters, and protecting himself from attack get jailed and charged?
The Benito Juarez sports complex in Tijuana, Mexico, has become a hub for Ukrainian refugees on their way to the United States. On Monday, the Biden administration began a new refugee plan for Ukrainians fleeing the Russian invasion of their home country.
“Uniting for Ukraine” will allow U.S. citizens and nongovernmental organizations to sponsor Ukrainian refugees, who will receive a two-year humanitarian parole to the U.S., as well as an authorization to work. Over the past few weeks, efforts to assist the Ukrainians’ passage to the U.S. have been extensive. On arrival at the sports complex, Ukrainians receive a registration number. While waiting to be called for processing by border officials, they have access to plentiful food, places to rest, and assistance from volunteers.
Processing is occurring at an unprecedented pace, according to BuzzFeed News. Where U.S. Customs and Border Protection could once only process 50-80 asylum-seekers on a given day, the agency is now “processing hundreds of people a day, sometimes as many as 1,000.” After processing, the Mexican government buses refugees at a time to the San Ysidro Port of Entry. Perhaps 15,000 Ukrainians have recently entered the U.S. from Tijuana. Considering the rapidity of the processing, the number could be higher. Neither the State Department nor U.S. Customs and Border Protection responded to requests for an updated count of the number of Ukrainian refugees processed in Tijuana.
The experience for Ukrainians at the border has been vastly different from that of refugees from other countries. BuzzFeed demonstrated how the current orderly layout of the Benito Juarez sports complex contrasts with more haphazard conditions for Central American migrants who were held around the facility in 2018. The Ukrainians’ circumstances are also vastly improved compared to those of refugees who currently live in camps throughout Tijuana.
One Mexican volunteer at the Benito Juarez complex, who spoke to me on condition of anonymity, said he was “glad to help the Ukrainian people [because he] knew they were coming from a very bad situation.” He noticed tremendous disparities, though, while he toured two of around two dozen Tijuana shelters. One camp, run by a local church, had just three full-time and two part-time volunteers to care for over 1,000 refugees from political unrest of cartel violence in Honduras, El Salvador, Haiti, and Mexico. Though the shelters were set up to be temporary facilities, he said that some migrant families had been there for one to two years, with only one family being processed each year.

Senator James Lankford (R-OK), lead Republican on the Border Management Subcommittee of the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee, today called out the Biden Administration’s supposed “plan” to replace Title 42. Lankford, report in hand, quoted the Biden Administration’s own admission in their “plan” that “a significant increase in migrant encounters will substantially strain our system even further.”
Lankford is leading the charge to push back on the Biden Administration’s plans to revoke temporary, pandemic-related Title 42 authority as early as May 23 and to stop the ongoing chaos at the southern border amid Biden’s hypocrisy about COVID. After the highest year on record for illegal crossings this past year and 221,000 “encounters” of border crossers last month, Lankford introduced the Public Health and Border Security Act to require all COVID-19 related national states of emergency to be lifted before Title 42 is officially terminated until a workable plan to replace it is put in place. Clearly for Lankford, Biden’s “plan” released yesterday is not workable.

This is policy insanity. The Biden Administration is getting the immigration policy that they designed. They stripped away all the restrictions for actually people crossing the border. They get this result. Now, with record-high numbers of people illegally crossing the border, now they’re saying, ‘And we’re going to drop Title 42 as well.’ So we get record-high numbers now of illegal crossings, and they’re going to say, ‘We’re going to strip away the last piece that we hadn’t taken away before to increase this number even higher.’
May I remind everyone that’s here of the simple fact that 221,000 ‘encounters,’ as they called them, from the last month is a record-high number. What people are not talking about as well are the 66,000 what they call ‘gotaways’ that also happened last month. That is, the border patrol were so active trying to round up and engage this group of 221,000, they could see in the distance and count people crossing the border. There were 66,000 that we had no contact with that we literally watched them come across the border.
Who’s crossing the border, and what’s happening at this point?
Well it’s people from 157 different countries, just in the last six months, that have crossed the border. None of these individuals have a criminal background check actually carried out on them from their home country. They’re doing a criminal background check if they’ve committed a crime in the United States before, but we have no idea in the country they’re coming from if there’s a criminal background at all. And for the 66,000 gotaways that happened just last month, we have no criminal background check in this country or in their previous country.

Radio reports allege that DHS officers have testified that Title 42 has not been enforced for weeks (despite the fact that a court recently ordered Biden to reinstate Title 42). Of course, no main stream media backs this allegation.
North Las Vegas Mayor John Lee (D) says that he’s joined the GOP and is leaving “elitist” and “socialist” Democrats in the dust.
Lee announced on Tuesday that he is leaving the Democratic Party and becoming a Republican.
He appeared Tuesday on “Fox & Friends,” where he cited what he said are the party’s “elitist” and “socialist” ways for his abrupt departure.
“In the Democratic Party of Nevada, they had an election recently for leadership, and four of the five people were card-carrying members of the socialistic [sic] party,” he said. “It’s not the party that I grew up with 25 years ago in this environment, and it’s not the party I can stand with any more.”
According to the outlet, Lee was referring to elections for the Nevada State Democratic Party, “in which a slate of candidates affiliated with the Democratic Socialists of America were elected to most of the party’s top leadership spots.”
He added, “The working class, the working men and women of this country and also the small business owners are not a part of the conversation any more. It all has to do with the elitists and it all has to do with the socialists. That is not the agenda that I have in mind for this country or the future.”
Lee concluded, “When you’re a pro-life Democrat, a pro-gun Democrat, and you’re a very conservative person, that’s not really well known in the Democratic Party any more. And so for me to hang on as long as I did, hoping the party would change, it didn’t, it got worse. So therefore, I found a new place that I can put my allegiance to and help. Once again, forget about the last eight years. It’s the next four years that predict the future.”

Hopefully, we will see an increased number of politicians willing to support the rights of their constituents rather than bow to the powers in the Democrat party. Nevada has a mostly-Republican base with a Democrat stronghold built around the state capitol. The same applies to Oregon and Washington. Therefore, maybe more of the traditional Democrats in the rural counties will turn a leaf.

Arizona governor signs bill to defy any new federal gun control laws
Arizona Gov. Doug Ducey signed legislation on April 6 that would prohibit police and sheriffs in the state from enforcing new federal gun laws that may violate the Constitution’s Second Amendment.
Proponents of the bill have argued that it would ensure that the rights of gun owners are protected from what they have described as potential overreach by the federal government, while critics say the law will undermine cooperation between Arizona law enforcement and federal officials.
“The state of Arizona and its political subdivisions are prohibited from utilizing any financial resources or state personnel to administer, cooperate with or enforce any law, act, order, rule, treaty or regulation of the federal government that is inconsistent with any law of this state regarding the regulation of firearms,” according to the text of the legislation.
President Joe Biden has said he’s seeking a ban on certain firearms and gun magazines in the wake of two mass shootings last month. Top Democrats such as Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) said two House bills that expanded background checks would be taken up by the Senate, although it’s not clear when that will occur.
Texas, sadly, is behind the times, but catching up
The last time I heard, Texas had 36 pro-Second-Amendment bills pending (including one that would disallow any official from Texas from enforcing any federal measure “that purports to regulate a firearm, a firearm accessory, or firearm ammunition if the statute, order, rule, or regulation imposes a prohibition, restriction, or other regulation, such as a capacity or size limitation, a registration requirement, or a background check, that does not exist under the laws of this state.”) However, pending bills don’t really mean diddly.

Biden administration officials sued by Arizona AG over immigration executive orders
The office of Arizona Attorney General Mark Brnovich is filing a lawsuit against White House and Department of Homeland Security (DHS) officials over allegedly harmful immigration orders and is now asking a court to void President Joe Biden’s executive actions to halt the construction of the border wall and reverse the Trump administration’s “Remain in Mexico” policy.
Brnovich is arguing in court (pdf) that those orders have violated the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), which requires federal agencies like the DHS to weigh environmental considerations before taking any significant federal action.
The DHS and federal officials didn’t provide environmental impact statements or environmental assessments after the agency stopped construction of the U.S.–Mexico border wall and started permitting entry to illegal immigrants after ending the Migrant Protection Protocols, also known as the Remain in Mexico policy, which were started under the Trump administration, according to Brnovich’s office.
“It’s the pinnacle of hypocrisy for the Biden Administration to claim it wants to protect our environment, while not enforcing federal statutes that are specifically designed for that purpose,” the Republican attorney general said in a statement April 12. “We’re not going to sit idly by as the Biden Administration ignores real harms to our state resulting from its heavy-handed executive orders.”
Biden halted construction of the border wall on his first day in office. Days later, he ordered the DHS to stop the policy.

Ten state AGs sue Biden admin for ‘social cost of carbon’ executive order
Ten state attorneys general have announced a lawsuit against President Biden’s administration over his executive order regarding the “social cost of carbon.”
The lawsuit was announced on Friday, with the group calling the president’s executive order on tackling climate change “an act of executive overreach that will kill thousands of jobs throughout the country threatens to impose more burdens and harms on the American people.”
Georgia Attorney General Chris Carr warned that Biden’s order would have “life-altering consequences” for the people of his state.
“This executive order is nothing but a license for gross federal overreach that will have potentially life-altering consequences for hard-working Georgians,” Carr said, “The President is using arbitrary numbers to justify regulating anything and everything, and we will not allow this egregious overstep of Executive Branch authority.”
The attorneys general wrote that the order creates a group of federal officials that “were required to establish a damages value based on global environmental damages from climate change.”
“These values are referred to as the social cost of carbon,’ the ‘social cost of methane’ and the ‘social cost of nitrous oxide’,” the group wrote. “The President further required federal agencies to immediately begin applying these numbers in regulatory actions and, vaguely ‘other’ decision-making.”
The team of attorneys general charged that Biden’ actions “improperly and illegally change the way federal decision-making is conducted,” which includes modifying the “cost-benefit analysis” for almost every important action undertaken by federal agencies.
“This means federal agencies could use these estimates to arbitrarily assign massive costs or massive benefits, whichever they choose, to every regulatory action, to environmental impact studies, and to establish mitigation costs, and more,” the team wrote.
While this will not help the welder in South Dakota whose house has been foreclosed, it might be a road to recovery.
All of the communities that have been devastated by Biden’s first-day fiat on the Keystone pipeline are still in ruins. Still, this might be the first step to getting them back to real work.

AG Paxton sues Biden administration for ‘encouraging spread of COVID-19’ at U.S-Mexico Border, again
On Thursday, Attorney General Ken Paxton sued the Biden administration for “encouraging the spread of COVID-19 at the border,” by suspending the Migrant Protection Protocol (MPP) program, according to a press release.
The attorney general stated that the administration is encouraging the spread by “allowing illegal aliens, potentially infected with COVID.
“President Biden’s outright disregard of the public health crisis in Texas by welcoming and encouraging mass gatherings of illegal aliens is hypocritical and dangerous. This reckless policy change stifles the reopening of the Texas economy at a time when businesses need it the most and when our children need to get back to in-person learning as soon as possible.”

The complaint filed by Paxton states that the administration violated the Immigration and Nationality Act, the Public Health Service Act of 1994 and the Administrative Procedure Act when the MPP was suspended.
Paxton has a point. How can Biden force us to wear masks and take vaccines when he allows a population of 2 million that is up to 50% infected through the border?
Either Biden needs to drop his border policy or his COVID policy. He cannot keep both.

Biden administration cannot be allowed to change past budgets
The Biden administration is still deciding how to handle the border wall contracts from the previous administration, after a deadline from the president recently passed.
President Biden issued a proclamation on January 20 to pause construction on former President Trump’s signature U.S.-Mexico border wall, to the extent legally allowed, and direct the Defense and Homeland Security secretaries, in consultation with the Treasury secretary, attorney general and Office of Management and Budget director and any other appropriate agency officials to create a “plan for redirecting funding and repurposing contracts.” Biden said the plan should be formulated “within 60 days from the date of this proclamation,” which was March 21 (Sunday).
“When the administration took office, funds had been diverted from military construction and other appropriated purposes toward building the wall, and wall construction was being challenged in multiple lawsuits by plaintiffs who alleged that the construction was creating serious environmental and safety issues,” an OMB spokesperson told Government Executive when asked for comment on the plan. “Under those circumstances, federal agencies are continuing to develop a plan to submit to the president soon.”
DHS and the Defense Department deferred to OMB for comment. The Treasury and Justice departments did not immediately respond for comment.
The deadline came four days after 40 Republican senators asked the Government Accountability Office to determine if Biden’s pausing construction on the wall and freezing funds violated the Impoundment Control Act, which prevents the executive branch from withholding funds for policy reasons and outlines a process for seeking to delay funds appropriated by Congress. The Republicans said they believe the Biden administration violated this law.
A GAO spokesperson told Government Executive on Tuesday the watchdog accepted the request on Monday.
The senators wrote “not long ago” the watchdog “applied these legal principles to a set of factual circumstances remarkably similar to the ones here,” referencing GAO’s report in January 2020 that said OMB violated the law by withholding security aid to Ukraine for policy reasons. The funding situation was the subject of Trump’s first impeachment in the House. However, Sen. Mitt Romney, R-Utah, who signed the letter, was the only Republican senator to vote to convict Trump.
“As these unlawful pauses have proceeded, the rate of illegal crossings has surged, creating a crisis across our southern border, at times with tragic consequences,” the senators added.
Dylan Hedtler-Gaudette, government affairs manager for the watchdog group Project on Government Oversight, told Government Executive, “the real issue here is that we need more information from OMB as to precisely what funding the administration is intending to halt or redirect” with the proclamation, which is one of several early actions on immigration taken by the administration, “and what the legal basis is for that decision.”

So how does this demented and delusional man (so to speak) think that he will get cooperation from the Congress when most of his plans fall into the Socialist realm? Additionally, one of the things he wants to implement is an item that Democrats had to distance themselves from during their campaigns. Well, let’s once again put things on hold. Look, Joe Biden still has the upper hand, but that could come crashing down on December 3. There will be a hearing in Nevada, where the Trump campaign can present its evidence regarding voter fraud in the 2020 election. It could be a gamechanger. Until then, however, the Biden camp is full steam ahead with its transition operations. Biden’s picks are not radical. That doesn’t mean they’re good either. For a far-left soldier, this is greatly disappointing. Janet Yellen being tapped as Treasury Secretary may have been well-received by the markets, which closed over 30,000 for the first time this week, but this isn’t the change you wanted.
And that’s the brutal truth when it comes to the 2020 election. Biden didn’t generate a blue wave. Down ticket, the Democratic Party was beaten bloody. They lost House seats. They didn’t perform how they wanted in the Senate which could still end up being controlled by the GOP pending the results of the critical Georgia runoffs. And the Democrats’ state legislature game plan totally blew up in their faces, not a single target chamber was flipped. The GOP controls the lion’s share of the congressional redistricting for another decade. All of this points to a couple of things. One is that Trump is not toxic to the GOP brand. In fact, he buoyed some people over the top in these lesser-known races, especially at the state level. Second, IF Biden is the winner after all legal avenues have been exhausted by the Trump team, then he’s on the verge of being rendered ineffective. You have a Democratic House Majority that’s been whittled down to a nub; there’s not much wiggle room for error. And for sure, defunding the police nonsense will only make that slim majority even more vulnerable come 2022. And if things go well in Georgia, a Republican Senate pretty much kills any meaningful push Biden wants to undertake on taxes, health care, gun control, and global warming. By 2022, we could see the GOP expand their standings in the Senate. At the very least, they’re in good shape to keep the majority and the House will be in play if Democrats continue to entertain the illiberal action items of its far-left contingent. This could possibly be the state of politics for four years.
So, yes, if all else fails, progressives don’t have to deal with President Trump, but their agenda is now further stuck in the mud. The pause button is not available on the far left. It’s not even an option. And Biden’s picks thus far are boring, moderate-ish, and from the former Obama-Biden administration.

You probably won't get conflicting signals from the White House about whether the president will sign a bill. If he works on it, and is a party to the agreement, he probably won't veto it at the last minute.
THIS ADMINISTRATION will be of the Georgetown dinner variety. A return to briefing books and policymaking by political professionals who aren’t likely to try to burn down the White House over petty disagreements and jockeying to get in the good graces of the president.
IT IS UNLIKELY TO BE an administration that has aides rushing to get on TV to praise the president. In fact, you probably will rarely see many of these Cabinet officials.

Six disastrous Obama-era foreign policies set to return under Biden
Reports began to surface this week of potential cabinet appointments and priority government projects for Democrat Party presidential challenger Joe Biden should he take office in January.
Many of these, both the individuals and the policies, are not new – they are vestiges of the departed Obama administration that Biden was part of as vice president. In foreign policy, particularly, Biden has promised a return to a status quo under his former boss that fueled global instability, wasted American tax dollars, and hurt the American worker.
Below, five policies Biden has promised to resurrect from their political death under President Donald Trump and the setbacks they represent to policies that, for the past four years, have helped make the world a more peaceful place.
Returning to the Iran Nuclear Deal
As a candidate in September, Biden wrote in a CNN column that he would seek to offer Iran, the world’s top state sponsor of terrorism, a “credible path back to diplomacy.”
“If Iran returns to strict compliance with the nuclear deal, the United States would rejoin the agreement as a starting point for follow-on negotiations,” Biden vowed.
The “nuclear deal” is the 2015 Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), signed by the Obama administration, Iran, and four guarantor nations – China, France, Germany, Russia, and the United Kingdom – with the goal of convincing the rogue state to cease its illegal nuclear weapons development. In exchange for reducing uranium enrichment capacities and very loose inspections that the deal did not allow America to conduct, Iran made billions of dollars. One estimate placed the value of sanctions relief at $150 billion for Iran. President Obama also paid the Islamic regime $1.7 billion in cash, suspiciously timed with the release of U.S. hostages in the country. The administration insisted the money was not a ransom.
Much of that money, as Obama administration officials openly stated, went to funding terrorist activities around the world. The Obama era saw astronomical growth of Iranian influence in both neighboring states like Iraq, Syria, Yemen, and Lebanon, and in distant allied nations like Venezuela. The money also did nothing to stop Iran from nuclear development; at some point, the Iranian government began to argue that violating the deal was a valid way to honor the deal.
Trump withdrew from the nuclear deal in 2018, fulfilling a campaign promise, and reinstated sanctions. The sanctions have significantly limited the activities of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), Iran’s state terrorist organization, and curtailed its influence in neighboring nations, particularly Syria and Iraq.
Returning to the Paris Climate Agreement
The Washington Postreported shortly after November’s election that Biden is planning the use of executive orders to rapidly reverse critical Trump policies. On that list was America’s withdrawal from the Paris Climate Agreement, an Obama-era non-treaty (a treaty wouldn’t get past the Senate) aimed at limiting the world’s carbon emissions. The agreement allows rogue states like China to increase carbon emissions while punishing the United States with strict limits.
Biden has made climate alarmism a core part of his campaign.
“Vice President Biden knows there is no greater challenge facing our country and our world. Today, he is outlining a bold plan – a Clean Energy Revolution – to address this grave threat and lead the world in addressing the climate emergency,” his campaign website promised.
Reports this week indicated that Biden would bring failed Democrat Party candidate and secretary of state John Kerry, whose Islamic State policy consisted of hiring James Taylor to perform a soft rock concert, back on board as a “climate czar.”
Trump withdrew from the agreement in 2019, noting that its provisions required America to actively hurt its industrial sectors while not requiring similar carbon limits on nations like China and India. The Chinese Foreign Ministry to this day boasts that the agreement allows them to “peak” in carbon emissions – meaning continue to increase their percentage of global pollution year-over-year – in some distant future.
Under Trump, the United States dropped its carbon emissions 12 percent from 2005 to 2017. The Paris agreement required America to drop its share of global carbon emissions to 2005 levels by 2025.
Refunding the World Health Organization
The same Washington Post article noting the Paris Agreement policy suggested that Biden would also restore America’s position as the most prolific funder of the World Health Organization (W.H.O.).
President Trump withdrew America from the W.H.O. in July, in response to its hyper-partisanship in favor of the Communist Party of China and its prodigious failure in handling the Chinese coronavirus pandemic. The W.H.O. had reason believe as early as December 2019, when the nation of Taiwan sent an emergency message to W.H.O. leadership about a respiratory disease from China, that what would later become known as the Chinese coronavirus was contagious. The Taiwanese message stated that doctors were isolating patients on the island, an unnecessary move if the disease was not transmissible from person to person. The W.H.O. does not allow Taiwan to join the organization due to pressure from China, which refuses to accept Taiwan’s sovereignty.
A month later, the W.H.O. published a message on Twitter telling the world that the Chinese coronavirus was not contagious.
The W.H.O. also regularly applauded China’s response to the outbreak, which largely consisted of persecuting doctors, welding families shut in their homes, and misdirecting the world. Confidential documents later revealed W.H.O. experts feared that Chinese officials would imprison or disappear its doctors and scientists if the U.N. agency publically criticized the communist state.
“China has total control over the World Health Organization despite only paying $40 million per year compared to what the United States has been paying, which is approximately $450 million a year,” President Trump said this year, explaining his reasons for departing.
Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, the head of the W.H.O., became the organization’s leader despite being accused of covering up three separate cholera outbreaks in Ethiopia, his native country, where he is a member of the radical separatist Tigray People’s Liberation Front. His predecessor as director-general, Margaret Chan – now the dean of Tsinghua University’s school of public health – was responsible for the W.H.O.’s response to the 2014-2016 Ebola outbreak in West Africa, which experts called an “egregious failure.”
Reverse Trump’s Policy of Withdrawal from Afghanistan
In 2012, during Vice President Biden’s campaign for a second term, he promised of America’s oldest war, “we will leave in 2014.” America remained in Afghanistan, where an estimated 4,500 American soldiers are serving today.
President Trump, like Obama before him, campaigned on getting out of Afghanistan. Unlike Obama, however, Trump has not indicated that he seeks any conventional military victory against the enemy President George W. Bush initially attacked, the Taliban. Instead, Trump’s policy has focused on peace talks with the Taliban leaders that America vowed to remove. The goal, diplomats insist, is to get the Taliban to agree not to attack Americans or harbor terrorist groups, like al-Qaeda, that attack Americans. In exchange, America will leave.
Reports indicate that Trump will reduce the number of troops in Afghanistan to 2,500 by January, with a goal of withdrawing entirely.
Biden, once a proponent of ending the war, told Stars & Stripes in September that he does not see any possible way America could leave Afghanistan.
“I think we need special ops capacity to coordinate with our allies,” Biden said, suggesting a maximum of “1,500 to 2,000” ground troops, but not offering a timeline for them to come home. Those troops are needed, he contended, to “take out terrorist groups who are going to continue to emerge.”
Until the chief polluters join with the same degree of sacrifices, we don’t need to.
Until China and India agree to cuts in pollution, cutting American enterprise just to put smiley faces on Democrat policies makes no sense. Additionally, giving billions of dollars, euros, and other currencies to the world’s largest state sponsor of terror does not make sense — especially when terror has not slowed since then.
Furthermore, since we are on the topic of conflict with Islamic nations, why do we need to keep soldiers in an area of perpetual conflict?
These Democrat leaders have promoted policies that encourage illegal immigration
Judge Lina Hidalgo proposes and a narrow margin of Democrats approve a taxpayer-funded plan for “Deportation Defense”
Although violation of immigration law remains a civil (not criminal) offense, Judge Lina Hidalgo proposed and got passed a tax-payer-funded plan for defending illegal aliens, as reported by Houston Public Media.
Harris County commissioners voted Tuesday to approve a resolution to create an immigration legal services fund.
The vote was 3-2, along party lines. The resolution, proposed by County Judge Lina Hidalgo, allocates an estimated $500,000 in its first year to help people facing deportation who can’t afford a lawyer. The funds would go toward helping improve due process in the federal immigration system, Hidalgo said.
“The goal is to provide attorneys for immigrants to be able to pursue their case. If it turns out their case has no merit, and they’re not to stay, that’s fine. But they should have a shot at a fair process and they can’t possibly navigate the system, complicated confusing system, without the legal support,” Hidalgo said.
Dallas, Austin and San Antonio have similar city-funded programs in place, but this would be the first county-funded effort in the state and the first program in Greater Houston.
A study by the Vera Institute of Justice found detained immigrants who have a lawyer are 10.5 times more likely to win their case than those without representation.
The report also found that when immigration cases involved women with children, having legal representation improved their odds of winning 14 times.
The county’s next steps are to run a request for proposals from nonprofits likely already working in immigration legal defense, according to the Harris County Judge’s office.
Harris County spends $21 million annually to fund its public defenders office. A large portion of that budget staffs 88 public defenders.
One thing that baffles me is that Democrats cannot seem to see how supporting one side over another (even if done in the name of purported “social justice”) divides us. Rather than giving special advantages to one side over the other, we should promote equality and freedom (not this division and racism).
On the other hand, why do Americans (as opposed to Democrat socialists) vote for this? My answer is simple: we cannot. …
Whitmer backs driver’s licenses for undocumented immigrants
Gov. Gretchen Whitmer appeared to support a change in state law to issue driver’s licenses to undocumented immigrants, when she gave an impromptu interview to an immigrants rights organization during the Democratic presidential debates in Detroit.
“We need to ensure that everyone’s got a path to getting a license, so they’ve got identification,” Whitmer, a Democrat, said in a video released by the group Movimiento Cosecha after an organizer for the group asked her if she favored issuing driver’s licenses to undocumented immigrants.
“That’s something that’s important to me, it’s important to our economy, and it’s important to the people of Michigan.”
Michigan passed legislation to ban the practice in 2008 after Attorney General Mike Cox, a Republican, issued a formal opinion in 2007 saying undocumented immigrants could not obtain driver’s licenses. Cox’s opinion reversed a 1995 opinion from former Attorney General Frank Kelley, a Democrat.
Tiffany Brown, a spokeswoman for Whitmer, would not answer directly Friday morning when asked whether Whitmer favors changing state law to allow undocumented immigrants to hold Michigan driver’s licenses. But she did not deny the accuracy of the video and transcript released by Movimiento Cosecha.
“Not sure I’ll have much more to add outside of what the governor said in the video about ensuring that undocumented immigrants have a path to getting an ID,” Brown said in an email.
She did not specify what that path would look like or whether she was talking about a state identification other than a driver’s license. In the video, Whitmer specifically referenced driver’s licenses for undocumented immigrants.

Certainly Whitmer understands that giving the illegal alien a drivers license also gives the illegal alien the possibility of various legal documents (including the ballot); therefore, for Whitmer to play with this idea is the equivalent of playing with a metaphysical gun. She cannot expect to pick this idea up and not draw attacks from those who stand for our freedom.
So, with this information (and with the knowledge that Whitmer has acted as a little dictator in the name of health while Sweden has fared better without a lockdown), freedom-loving people should vote her out.

Governor Tom Wolf seeks the removal of an ICE detention center in Pennsylvania
While target cities wait, advocacy groups continue working to shut down detention centers. Governor Wolf says he wants the Berks County center closed.
“I haven’t had a conversation on the most recent thing,” Wolf said, when asked about the detention center. “Since I’ve been in this position, since I first learned about the Berks County detention center, I’ve been against what they do, I think it’s wrong. It’s immoral, it’s inhumane and I don’t think we should be doing that in Pennsylvania. It gives us a bad name.”

But for the illegal alien who broke into the country and is competing with our citizens for the resources here, he wants to shut down the ICE center (and probably let them all go).

Illegal alien arrested in deadly-hit-and run as county looks to buck ICE
An illegal alien was arrested in a Northern Virginia suburb for his alleged involvement in a deadly hit-and-run accident and handed over to immigration officials, but local leaders are looking to scrap a program that allows law enforcement to cooperate with Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).
Officials in Prince William County, Virginia, have debated ending a years-long partnership program with federal immigration authorities, the 287(g) program. The introduction of new jail board appointees is expected to lead to the end of this partnership, according to proponents of the program.
As the debate was occurring this week, an illegal alien was arrested after he allegedly struck a man with his vehicle, killing him, and speeding off, according to ICE. Federal authorities and proponents of the program are pointing to the arrest of this man as a prime example of why the partnership needs to stay in place.
Walner Alberto Pichinte Echeverria
A 62-year-old northern Virginia man, attempting to cross a road in the early morning hours of May 6, was struck by two vehicles, with the injuries he sustained ultimately causing him to die, according to news outlet Inside NOVA. The second vehicle that struck him as he laid on the road sped away. The Prince William County Police Department identified and arrested 35-year-old Walner Alberto Pichinte Echeverria May 18, Inside NOVA reported.
Pichinte Echeverria, a Salvadoran national, was living unlawfully in the U.S. and was placed in ICE custody on May 21, a spokeswoman for the agency told the Daily Caller News Foundation.
“Walner Alberto Pichinte Echeverria, 35, an unlawfully present Salvadoran national, was turned over to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement on May 21 by the Prince William County Police Department in Manassas, Virginia, after his arrest May 18 for felony hit and run,” ICE spokeswoman Kaitlyn Pote said in a statement provided to the DCNF.
“On May 19, a designated immigration officer with the 287(g) Program at the Prince William-Manassas Regional Adult Detention Center in Manassas, Virginia, trained to identify and process removable aliens with criminal charges, served Pichinte a warrant of arrest and an immigration detainer,” Pote continued. “He remains in ICE custody pending the outcome of his removal proceedings.”
The 287(g) program allows Prince William County to verify the immigration status of suspects who are arrested and charged with a crime. If the individual is discovered to be living in the U.S. unlawfully, they are subsequently handed over to ICE.
The Prince William-Manassas Regional Adult Detention Center has been a partner in the program since 2007, according to ICE.
The cooperation agreement also allows the agency to pay for most of the tab for immigration enforcement. Critics of the program have argued that local officers shouldn’t expend their own resources to assist federal authorities.
“The goal of 287(g) is to enhance public safety by identifying aliens, lodging immigration detainers, and initiating removal proceedings by issuing charging documents on criminal and removable aliens booked into the jail facility,” ICE said in a statement.

Prince William County, much like the rest of northern Virginia, has shifted toward the Democratic Party, and the now-Democrat-controlled county board of supervisors may have set the stage to scrap it.

Oddly, Americans have worked for about 60 years to eliminate giving people preference on the basis of their skin color. No longer are there “Whites only” fountains, cafes, or bars. No longer are there “Negroes only” schools or entrances.
However, now Democrats have worked to establish a separate class for the illegal alien. Unlike citizens, illegal aliens seem to have an agreement with police where the illegals are not detained at auto accidents. They don’t find themselves asked about proof of insurance or title.
Some 150,000 illegal immigrants from 72 nations with cases of the coronavirus have been apprehended or deemed inadmissible from entering the United States since November, raising the ongoing border crisis to a potential public health threat, according to officials.
New figures provided to Secrets show that over half of the nearly 300,000 illegal immigrants apprehended or deemed “inadmissible” this fiscal year came from nations with cases of the coronavirus, including China, Italy, Iran, and South Korea.
The administration has been bracing for a federal court decision that would junk its “remain in Mexico” policy and open the doors on the southwest border. But the U.S. Supreme Court Wednesday put that on hold as legal arguments on both sides continue in the liberal 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals, which oversees Arizona and California.
“The border/immigration situation has taken on a whole new dynamic; it’s a public health threat,” said an official.
Secrets recently reported that 328 Chinese immigrants had been seized illegally crossing the border since the virus outbreak began in China.
So far, 150,958 immigrants from 72 nations with the virus have been stopped at the border. DHS has sought to return, repatriate, and remove as many as possible.
What’s more, another 43,000 from Latin nations including Venezuela, El Salvador, Guatemala, Haiti and Nicaragua — nations that haven’t reported the virus — have been turned away to wait.
U.S. Customs and Border Protection officials said last week none of the immigrants stopped by agents showed signs of the virus.
The administration has been making the case that continuing the so-called Migrant Protection Protocols that keep immigrants in Mexico pending approval to come into the U.S. to seek asylum is both an important national security and health security issue.
“MPP is all the more critical to keep Americans safe and healthy, which can only be accomplished through lawful and orderly migration,” said an official.
Another said, “We have a unique public health threat posed by individuals arriving unlawfully at the border, where migrants, law enforcement officials, frontline personnel, and the American public are put at risk. All it would take is a single infected individual to impact the detained migrant community within DHS facilities. Without proper precautions, which can only happen through orderly, lawful migration, the virus threatens to spread rapidly. Any halting of MPP would exacerbate this threat.”
Should the policy be lifted, holding stations run by the Department of Homeland Security would immediately fill up, and, there is the potential that the spillover would have to be shipped to facilities around the country.
In this age of Coronavirus panic, at least the Supreme court seems more reasonable than Bernie and Biden, both of whom pledged to open the border.

Most coronavirus patients recover, still anxiety, fear loom
According to an Associated Press article published 11 March 2020, most coronavirus patients recover. Still, with all of the media-driven hype, everyone is anxious. Therefore, it is really surprising when a bit of truth leaks out through the main stream media (as highlighted by the bolding, which is mine).
Amid all the fears, quarantines and stockpiling of food, it has been easy to ignore the fact that more than 60,000 people have recovered from the coronavirus spreading around the globe.
A recovered patient
The disease can cause varying degrees of illness and is especially troublesome for older adults and people with existing health problems, who are at risk of severe effects, including pneumonia. But for most of those affected, coronavirus creates only mild or moderate symptoms, such as fever and cough, with the vast majority recovering from the virus.
According to the World Health Organization, people with mild illness recover in about two weeks, while those with more severe ailments may take three to six weeks to rebound. In mainland China, where the virus first exploded, more than 80,000 people have been diagnosed, but more than 60,000 already have recovered.
Because the difference in impact can be so great, global health authorities have the difficult task of alerting the public to the virus’ dangers without creating panic.
Already, the widespread consequences of the virus have been staggering, sending shock waves through the world’s financial markets. Global oil prices sustained their worst percentage losses since the the Gulf War in 1991, and new restrictions were imposed in Italy and in Israel as the Holy Week approached.
But even some of the most vulnerable patients can fight their way through the disease.
Charlie Campbell’s father, 89-year-old Eugene Campbell, has been diagnosed with the coronavirus and is hospitalized in Edmonds, Washington. Charlie Campbell said his father’s doctor is cautiously optimistic, adding, “Under normal circumstances, he would discharge my dad, but these aren’t normal circumstances.”
Who would think that the truth might leak out of the main stream media
Among all of the coverage of the hype, who would think that the news that “most patients recover” would be reported? Additionally, who would think that a caption to a graphic within the same article might point out that many cases have recovered? The take-away from that may be a conclusion that a medical doctor brought out during a radio interview on AM 740 KTRH: many people have probably caught the coronavirus without noticing that they had it and have recovered (thence, the mortality rate of this disease may be multiple times lower than originally projected).
American authorities identified and apprehended three Syrian nationals accused of belonging to al-Qaeda in Dallas, Texas, from Colombia, the Colombian news agency RCN reported on Thursday, publishing images of the three individuals’ fake passports.
According to RCN, American law enforcement identified the three individuals as Al Raefee, Tuameh Tuameh, and Al Harari Al Harari. The three are believed to be in U.S. custody, soon to be charged with membership in a terrorist organization. The men appear to have entered Colombia through Venezuela, where they acquired Colombian residency paperwork, a government identification card, and a Colombian passport through an illegal documentation network.
Journalist Luis Carlos Vélez published images of the counterfeit passports on Twitter, noting that the men appeared to have crossed into Colombia through the La Guajira border crossing with Venezuela. Reports have not yet specified how the Syrians entered Venezuela or how long they had spent in the country after leaving Syria. Vélez reportedly stated that the U.S. embassy identified them as al-Qaeda terrorists when they attempted to procure U.S. visas, which does not align with the RCN report that police arrested them in Dallas. The RCN report does not note if Dallas authorities arrested them at the airport, which would suggest the men did receive U.S. visas and got onboard a flight to the country, or if they arrived by other means.

American authorities reportedly suspected criminal activity after inspecting the passports and finding several irregularities. The identification numbers on all three passports, RCN noted, did not match their birthdates. Colombian passports assign numbers to citizens based on when they were born. Although the youngest of the three men is 45 years old according to his passport, the identification number on his passport corresponded to a much more recently born person, at most 25 years old.

I have observed that the local news certainly has time to air the latest “blockbuster” video allegation against the president. They have time to produce op-ed pieces memorializing celebrities who have passed. Why don’t they have time to point out how three Syrians were caught with fake Colombian passports made in Venezuela?

In a similar story, Honduras arrests U.S.-bound Iranians
As hundreds join a new U.S.-bound caravan in Honduras, authorities in the crime-infested Central American nation reveal that four Iranians were recently arrested there. Like thousands of illegal immigrants from around the world, the Iranians entered Honduras illegally and were heading north to the United States, according to a Honduran newspaper article that attributes the information to the president, Juan Orlando Hernández. The Iranians were transported to the capital, Tegucigalpa, and officials have launched an investigation.
Earlier this week Judicial Watch reported on a U.S. alert warning Mexico of armed Iranians planning to enter the country through the southern border, but it’s not clear if the cases are related and calls to the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) went unanswered. The bulletin, issued by the Border Patrol’s regional intelligence operation center in Arizona, said that a Guatemalan national may try to smuggle five Middle Easterners—including a suicide bomber—into the U.S. through Mexico. The smuggler and four other men and a woman transited through Guatemala and Belize before reaching Veracruz, Mexico, according to the bulletin. The Guatemalan, whose name is redacted in the government document, was deported from California a year ago. U.S. authorities received the threat after picking up recordings distributed via social media, according to a Spanish-language news story published by a Latin American outlet.
The U.S. alert didn’t faze a busy Mexican border city’s police chief, who confirms the region is full of Middle Easterners, Africans and Asians trekking north. In a Latin American news report published shortly after the U.S. issued the bulletin, Mexicali Police Chief María Elena Andrade Ramírez matter-of-factly said the arrival of people from the Middle East, Africa and Asia as well as the rest of the Americas is “normal” in her California border city of about a million residents. In a separate article published in a Mexicali paper, authorities downplayed the situation by assuring citizens that the arrival of people from the Middle East, Africa, Europe, Asia and the rest of the Americas is “something normal.”
They don’t magically land in Mexico. Central America has long been a popular route for illegal immigrants from terrorist nations who want to reach the U.S. There’s no doubt many will infiltrate the new caravan heading to the Mexican border from the northern Honduran city of San Pedro Sula. President Hernández says some 70,000 immigrants from these countries cross through Honduras annually, even without an organized caravan. When the first Central American caravan launched from Honduras in the fall of 2018, then Guatemalan President Jimmy Morales confirmed that nearly 100 ISIS terrorists had been apprehended in Guatemala. Like its Honduran neighbor, Guatemala too is a major smuggling corridor for foreigners from African and Asian countries making their way into the U.S. In 2017, Guatemala’s largest paper, Prensa Libra, published an in-depth piece on the inner workings of an international human smuggling network that moves migrants from Afghanistan, Pakistan, India, Nepal and Bangladesh to the U.S.
If this type of story only happened once, it would make a point. However, it has happened twice. Americans need to stand with our president in the construction of a wall to protect our citizens from foreign threats.

ICE leader blames ‘sanctuary’ policies for NYC killing
The country’s top immigration official blamed the “sanctuary policies” of New York City on Friday for the sexual assault and killing of a 92-year-old woman, while the mayor’s office decried such rhetoric as “fear, hate and attempts to divide.”
Matthew Albence, the acting director of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, said at a news conference Friday that the slaying could have been prevented if city officials had complied with a federal request to turn over the assailant, a Guyanese national, for deportation.
“It’s unbelievable that I have to come here and plead with the city of New York to cooperate with us to help keep this city safe,” Albence said.
“Make no mistake,” he added. “It is this city’s sanctuary policies that are the sole reason this criminal was allowed to roam the streets freely and end an innocent woman’s life.
This death (and many like it) need to be laid at the feet of inactive politicians
Nancy Pelosi (with her visions of “sparks of Divinity”) needs to recognize that we have enough depravity within the nation without importing and retaining criminals. Therefore, when a foreign national breaks our laws, they need to be shown the door.

NYPD union leader sides with ICE against de Blasio over ‘sanctuary’-tied murder: ‘He owns this’
A top New York Police Department union official on Friday called on Mayor Bill de Blasio to “own” the consequences of the city’s sanctuary policies — while insisting officers want to be allowed to work with federal immigration enforcement — after an illegal immigrant who was freed in November is alleged to have sexually assaulted and murdered a 92-year-old woman.
“The mayor can say what he wants to say — he owns this,” Sergeants Benevolent Association Vice President Vincent Vallelong told reporters. “He should step up and say these are his policies, he owns it.”
The remarks came at a press conference led by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Acting Director Matthew Albence in New York, days after the deadly consequences of the city’s policy again made headlines due to the murder this month of 92-year-old Maria Fuertes.

Reeaz Khan, an illegal Guyanese immigrant, is accused of attacking Fuertes as she walked home on Jan. 6. Fuertes was reportedly found at 2 a.m. in 32-degree weather and near death on a sidewalk with her clothes pulled above her waist. She was taken to a hospital, where she died from injuries that included a broken spine, according to The New York Post. The Post cited law enforcement sources who said she had been sexually assaulted and strangled.
ICE revealed this week that it had issued a detainer — a request that ICE be alerted of an illegal immigrant’s release from custody so that they can be transferred into ICE custody and go through deportation procedures — in November for Khan.
In a city where Republicans do not hold any significant sway, nobody can attribute the murder of a 92-year-old woman by an illegal alien to a conservative. Therefore, this is nothing but a liberal Democrat issue.

New York Freed 7.5K Criminal Illegal Aliens into U.S. in 2019, Including Convicted Murderers, Sex Abusers
The sanctuary state of New York released more than 7,500 criminal illegal aliens back into communities last year, including convicted murderers and sexual abusers, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officials confirmed Friday.
During a press conference, Acting ICE Director Matthew Albence revealed that in 2019, law enforcement officers in New York released roughly 7,516 criminal illegal aliens back into communities despite criminal convictions and charges against them.
In all of those cases, ICE agents asked that these criminal illegal aliens be turned over to them for arrest and deportation. Due to the state’s sanctuary policy, though, all were released. Albence said New York only turned over to ICE about ten criminal illegal aliens last year.
Altogether, these more than 7,500 criminal illegal aliens released back into New York communities had a total of 17,873 criminal convictions and 6,500 criminal charges against them. This includes criminal illegal aliens who have been convicted or charged with:
200 homicides
More than 1,000 sexual offenses
More than 500 robberies
More than 3,500 assaults
More than 1,500 DUIs
More than 1,000 weapons violations
“The only immigrants protected by such policies are those committing violent and dangerous offenses, often in the same communities that these politicians are purporting to protect,” Albence said during the press conference.

Harris County Releases Illegal Immigrant DWI Suspect Slated for Deportation to Honduras
At the end of December, the Harris County jail released on bond a DWI suspect who had been ordered deported by a federal immigration judge in 2019.

According to a press release from the Harris County Constable Precinct 4 office, one Emilio Duarte was arrested on December 28, 2019 and charged with Driving While Intoxicated and Failure to Stop and Give Information.
The constable’s press release said that Duarte was booked into the Harris County Jail and then released on bond out of County Court 15.
The Texan requested additional information about the suspect from both the Harris County Sheriff’s Office as well as U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).
A media spokesman for the Harris County Sheriff’s Office confirmed to The Texan via email that ICE is notified by HCSO when suspects are booked, but said all other information requests would need to go through ICE. He did not address questions regarding the suspect’s legal status or provide any additional information.
Acting Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Director Matthew Albence on Thursday revealed a recent ICE operation nabbed dozens of illegal immigrants with a record of child sex offenses, as he railed against the dangers of “sanctuary cities” he said put public safety at risk.
“It’s time to publicly call out those who have put politics over public safety, those who make our communities less secure, who create safe havens in which criminal aliens and gangs are allowed to flourish and can victimize innocent people with impunity,” he said in a White House briefing, surrounded by sheriffs and other law enforcement officials.
The briefing was part of a coordinated push by the Trump administration to again highlight the dangers of “sanctuary” jurisdictions that refuse to comply with detainers from immigration enforcement authorities. Senior ICE officials will be holding briefings across the country to warn of the dangers of sanctuary policies.
Those detainers request that local law enforcement notify immigration authorities when an illegal immigrant who has been arrested is due to be released from jail, so that they can be picked up by ICE and placed in deportation proceedings. Albence said that last year they deported more than 145,000 criminal illegal immigrants, including 10,000 gang members, and that about 70 percent of arrests ICE conducts occur via a detainer from a local or state jail or prison.
But with anti-ICE and open-border sentiments taking a growing hold among Democratic lawmakers and left-wing activists, a number of cities and states — including New Jersey, California, Chicago and New York City — have implemented sanctuary policies and refused to cooperate with law enforcement.
Albence pointed to a national ICE operation this week in which officers made 1,300 arrests. He said that of those, officers arrested nearly 200 who could have been arrested in jail if detainers had been honored.
In the latest example of sanctuary madness, a U.S. city is awarding an illegal immigrant with a cash settlement because police detained him for federal authorities after being arrested for driving under the influence. The 29-year-old perpetrator, Edgar Torres Gutierrez, eventually pled guilty to a lesser charge of reckless driving and his pro bono attorneys from a nearby public university sued the city for violating his Constitutional rights as well as a statewide sanctuary law. Under the agreement, Gutierrez will receive $18,750 from taxpayers in the California coastal municipality where he lives illegally. Local police officers will also be forced to watch a training video involving sanctuary measures for the next two years.
Even for a famously liberal state this seems to be a bit much. The unbelievable incident occurred in Laguna Beach, a southern California town of about 23,000 residents. In the summer of 2018, Gutierrez was arrested and jailed by Laguna Beach Police on suspicion of driving under the influence. The law enforcement agency held him at the request of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) so the feds could take custody. In all, Gutierrez spent around 15 hours in Laguna Beach Police custody and several more hours in a Los Angeles immigrant detention facility, according to a local news report. Apparently, Gutierrez wasn’t deported because he is protected by an Obama-era amnesty program, known as Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) that temporarily shields illegal immigrants that came to the U.S. as children. Government figures show that more than100,000 illegal immigrants who have requested DACA have serious criminal histories that include murder, rape and assault charges.
Imagine if every American city paid each of them a settlement for cooperating with federal authorities. Gutierrez came to the U.S. illegally from Mexico when he was three and takes responsibility for the “actions” that led to his arrest. He said this in one local news report: “I acknowledge that and I am at fault for that and I am dealing with the consequences of that.” However, the illegal immigrant added that police should not be working with ICE to deport undocumented aliens like him who are protected under DACA. He is calling on fellow illegal immigrants to speak up and come forward when they feel there’s been an injustice or if their “rights” have been violated. After taking a victory lap, his publicly-funded lawyers filed another complaint this week with the Laguna Beach Police Department that will require more taxpayer resources to defend.
Tell me again how Democrats put American citizens first

Democratic presidential candidate Sen. Elizabeth Warren denied sending her children to private schools, despite the fact that she sent her son to an elite private school.
When school choice activists confronted her after a campaign rally Thursday, Warren said her children didn’t go to private schools.
“We are going to have the same choice that you had for your kids, because I read that your children went to private schools,” one activist told Warren. “No, my children went to public schools,” the Massachusetts senator replied.
