The following is an amalgamation of information from web sites and news sites

Candidates for District 2, U.S. Representative
Jameson Ellis
BioJameson Ellis is a self-employed small business owner, public speaker, and family man. Like many hardworking Texans, his faith in Jesus Christ has always seen him through every obstacle.

As a lifelong Texan and a resident of Conroe, Jameson comes from a first responder and military family, and so he has witnessed first-hand the hardships and sacrifices made by those that serve and protect.

Believing that God gave him a specific set of gifts, talents, and abilities, Jameson teamed up with a police officer to start a nonprofit called Bridge The Blue, where he’s fighting to bridge the gap between law enforcement and community.

Hot Topic: PoliceLaw enforcement represents the thin blue line between order and chaos. I will fight to make sure our police departments have more funding available for consistent training and continuing education.
Hot Topic: BorderThe border wall must be finished and the “catch and release” program terminated. We must do more to protect our citizens from dangerous drug cartels, human traffickers, and illegal immigrants.
Hot Topic: UnbornI stand against abortion and will defend against the taking of innocent life. The right to life is our most basic of unalienable God-given rights. The government did not give us that right, and they cannot legally take it away.
Hot Topic: GunsAccording to the 2nd amendment, you have a right to defend your life, liberty, and property. This is why I stand against any and all forms of gun control, including “Red Flag” laws.

Milam Langella
BioMilam Langella was raised with strong Christian, conservative values. Those values called him to action through service for his country in the War on Terror. He served as an infantry officer in major combat operations during Operation Iraqi Freedom I and II. After doing 2 tours in Iraq, Milam continues to feel compelled to serve his country through representing Texas District 2 in the US Congress.

After being treated for service connected injuries, Milam was assigned to Wounded Warrior Battalion (WWBn) and now discharged from the military as a 100% disabled veteran.

Hot Topic: PoliceMaintains a strong support for law and order.
Hot Topic: Border(B)efore we can get to that point we must close our borders to those coming into this country illegally and ensure that only living, verified citizens are given the opportunity to vote on elected officials and policies. If getting some kind of state or national ID is too difficult or expensive for some individuals, then this is what needs to be addressed not eliminating the requirement of showing valid US identification.
Hot Topic: UnbornMilam Langella is endorsed by Texas Right to Life.
Hot Topic: GunsAs a military pilot, Milam Langella supports the Second Amendment.

Etwop graduated from Liberty University with a Bachelor of Sciences in Business Administration-International Business. He is currently completing his final year of Law school at Texas Southern University Thurgood Marshall School of Law.

Hot Topic: PoliceI will stand with our men and women in uniform, whom the Democrats have and continue to demonize for doing the toughest job in the world.
Hot Topic: BorderA nation’s sovereignty begins with how it protects its borders. I will fight to reinforce our borders by completing the wall, installing hi-tech border monitoring equipment, hiring more border patrol officers, and protecting against illegal immigration and lawlessness.
Hot Topic: UnbornLife begins at conception. “Before I formed you in your mother’s womb I knew you.” I will stand for and defend the life of the unborn and fight to take away from Biden and Pelosi the power to fund abortions with tax-payer money.
Hot Topic: GunsThe defense of ones life, family and home is the most important responsibility an individual has. I will fight to ensure that every American who wants to is able to exercise their second amendment rights.

Dan Crenshaw (incumbent)
BioDan Crenshaw is a patriot, a conservative and now a Congressman.

In 2018, without any political experience, political connections or personal wealth to fund a campaign, Dan was faced with a rare opportunity to run for Texas’s Second Congressional District. As a Lieutenant Commander (retired) and former Navy SEAL, he saw this as another opportunity to serve his country, a worthy goal despite the challenges he would face as a new candidate. He advanced from the crowded primary into a two-way runoff, which he decidedly won with nearly 70% of the vote. He went on to defeat his Democrat opponent and was sworn into Congress in January 2019.

Dan was first deployed to Fallujiah, Iraq as part of SEAL Team Three. This was his first of five total deployments. On his 3rd deployment, Dan’s life changed forever. While on a mission in Helmand province, Afghanistan, Dan was hit with an IED blast. He was evacuated and put into a medically induced coma. When he awoke, he learned that his right eye was completely destroyed and that his left eye was still intact but severely damaged. He was told he would never see again.

Hot Topic: PoliceRep. Dan Crenshaw, R-Texas, said Friday that “liberal ideology” is the root cause of the rise in crime across the country after it was discovered that an illegal immigrant is suspected in the murder of a Houston police officer.(Fox)
Hot Topic: BorderWe are currently unable to protect our sovereignty because of the situation at the border. Illegal immigrants are abusing our asylum process. While the President has taken action to improve the conditions at the border, Congress has to reform our laws for there to be a substantial change. Democrats refuse to address the issue at its source and are advocating for open border policies. This is wrong and unfair to legal immigrants, asylum seekers, migrants who are trafficked, and the Customs and Border Protection agents at the border. We must act now.
Hot Topic: UnbornWe must always stand up for life and protect the unborn. No equivocation. Being pro-life isn’t a partisan issue. It’s a human rights issue.
Hot Topic: GunsWhen it comes to defending our rights, I’m adamant about protecting our constitutional right to bear arms. I will always fight for Second Amendment rights. This right must never be infringed upon, but we must do a better job of enforcing current laws, especially background checks, so that guns stay out of the wrong hands. I will never allow the government to prevent law-abiding citizens from defending themselves.

Dan Crenshaw heckled and called a “RINO” for saying the 2020 election was not stolen

As chronicled on the Democrat blog Texas Signal on 13 August 2021, Crenshaw was heckled at a fundraiser.

Rep. Dan Crenshaw (R-Houston) is considered by many to be a rising star within the GOP. As a well-spoken and social media-savvy former Navy SEAL, it’s not hard to see why he was quickly embraced by the Right after being elected to Congress in 2018. However, a heated exchange over the 2020 election results are an indication that Crenshaw may not have as much of a future in the current conspiracy-driven Republican Party as previously thought.

“Don’t kid yourself into believing that’s why we lost,” Crenshaw said at a Republican fundraiser in Illinois on Wednesday, referring to the Big Lie that Trump actually won the 2020 election and the Democrats stole it through massive fraud. “It’s not, it’s not! I’ll tell you openly.”

Oddly, Crenshaw showed up at the 2022 Trump rallies

Despite his constant anti-Trump diatribes, Crenshaw showed up at the 2022 Trump rally. He may have even shown up at the rally at G. W. Brown in Houston, but I wasn’t there and did not hear about it.

Texas GOP U.S. Rep. Dan Crenshaw causes uproar after warning of “grifters,” liars inside his party

The Texas Tribune wrote on 9 December 2021 regarding some friction between Crenshaw and other Republicans.

The Freedom Caucus is a group of House conservatives who hold considerable sway within the GOP minority. It includes at least a few Republicans from Texas, like Rep. Louie Gohmert of Tyler and Chip Roy of Austin.

Crenshaw made the original comments at an event Sunday in Cypress for the Texas Liberty Alliance PAC, and a clip of them went viral later after being tweeted by Ron Filipkowski, a Florida lawyer and former Republican. Crenshaw was introducing two congressional candidates he is supporting and sought to differentiate them from “performance artists” in Congress who he said say what conservative voters want to hear. He then sought to make the point by arguing that U.S. Rep. Adam Kinzinger of Illinois — a prominent GOP critic of former President Donald Trump — actually voted more in line with Trump’s agenda during his first two years in office than did “everybody in the Freedom Caucus — all of them.”

“We have grifters in our midst,” Crenshaw said in the clip. “I mean in the conservative movement. Lie after lie after lie. Because they know something psychologically about the conservative heart. We’re worried about what people are gonna do to us, what they’re gonna infringe upon us.”

The comments drew denunciations from Freedom Caucus defenders and even from a key supporter of Crenshaw in his 2018 underdog run for Congress — Houston radio host Michael Berry.

“No, I do not support [Crenshaw],” Berry tweeted Tuesday. “I am embarrassed I helped him win.”

Dan Crenshaw wants a Federal “jab” database

Houston iHeart affiliate KPRC reported in a 8 December 2021 article that Dan Crenshaw wanted to establish a vaccination database.

I’m so old I can remember when Dan Crenshaw campaigned as a conservative Republican.

When he’s not considering gun control laws, promoting climate change theory, and blaming Trump for the January 6th protest, Rep Crenshaw is joining Democrats in pushing a $400 million Federal COVID vaccine database.

In addition to voting to increase the size of government Crenshaw is also publicly attacking the Freedom Caucus, a group of principled conservative lawmakers who oppose Biden’s agenda.

With Republicans like this who needs Democrats?

Holly Hansen reports:

At a campaign event on Sunday, Rep. Dan Crenshaw (R-TX-02) fired back at critics unhappy with his votes funding vaccine database systems and military spending.

“We have grifters in our midst. Not here in this room, I mean in the conservative movement,” said Crenshaw as he joined congressional candidates Wesley Hunt and Morgan Luttrell onstage for a “fireside chat” at a Northwest Harris County eatery.

Last week, Crenshaw was one of 80 House Republicans who joined Democrats in voting for the Immunization Infrastructure Modernization Act of 2021 (H.R. 550), which allocates $400 million to states to update immunization information systems (IIS).
