Reasons to vote Republican

Although I am as happy as any conservative about the confirmation of Amy Coney Barrett to the Supreme Court, the reaction from the left has me wondering whether conservatives will react strongly enough to hold the socialist movement down. Therefore, we must focus on our reasons to remain conservatives (which currently involves a Republican vote).

To avoid a packed court

Kamala slams ‘illegitimate’ Justice Amy Coney Barrett: “We won’t forget this”

Breitbart reports the sour-grapes words of Kamala Harris as she promises revenge for the appointment of Amy Comey Barrett to the Supreme Court.

Kamala-Harris-Angry-About-Barrett-ConfirmationDemocrat vice presidential candidate Sen. Kamala Harris (D-CA) called the Senate’s confirmation of Amy Coney Barrett to the United States Supreme Court on Monday “illegitimate” and vowed that the Americans “will not forget” the Republicans’ constitutional responsibility to fill the seat of the late Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg.

Harris tweeted after a 52 to 48 Senate vote along party lines to put Barrett on the High Court:

Today Republicans denied the will of the American people by confirming a Supreme Court justice through an illegitimate process—all in their effort to gut the Affordable Care Act and strip health care from millions with pre-existing conditions. We won’t forget this.

Although the Democrats, who unanimously voted against the confirmation, claimed that the process to put Barrett on the court was hypocritical because the Senate refused to confirm Barack Obama’s nomination of Merrick Garland during his last year in office, the Senate, in fact, has the right to advise and consent on nominations if it agrees.

In this case, Republicans control the White House and the Senate, so the latter agreed to proceed with Barrett’s confirmation.

Others on the left decried Barrett’s confirmation as well, including the left-wing anti-Trump group Indivisible. Meagan Hatcher-Mays, Director of Democracy Policy at Indivisible, said in a statement:

Today, Mitch McConnell and his Republican cronies confirmed Amy Coney Barrett to the Supreme Court, tarnishing the legacy of the late Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, and undermining whatever remaining faith the public still had in the court as an institution.  Despite Republicans’ attempts to obfuscate Barrett’s extreme record, let’s be clear: the Supreme Court is now under the control of six far-right ideologues who were chosen and confirmed not to administer justice but to administer wins to the Republican party.

Earlier this year, Kamala was accused of calling for persecuting Trump supporters

When Kamala was accused of calling for the punishment of Trump supporters, that was called “fake.” However, the statement by her above and the statement by Senator Schumer sound like a scene from “The Purge.”

To avoid another Obama-esque dictatorial action

Biden floats rotating Supreme Court justices if he is elected

The New York Post reports Biden’s suggestion of rotating Supreme Court justices upon his election. Maybe Joe got too much blow-back from his extra-constitutional suggestion that he might pack the court, so he makes this extra-constitutional suggestion that he change the terms of the justices (and the Democrats call Republicans “dictators” and “Nazis.”)

Joe-BidenDemocratic nominee Joe Biden on Monday floated the possibility of Supreme Court justices being rotated off the bench and bounced from court to court should he be elected president.

During a “60 Minutes” interview on Sunday night, the former veep announced his plan to create a bipartisan commission to propose changes to the Supreme Court if he triumphs on Election Day.

Just hours before the expected Monday evening confirmation of Judge Amy Coney Barrett, President Trump’s third conservative nominee to the High Court, Biden was asked if he was open to term limits for justices.

“It’s a lifetime appointment, I’m not going to attempt to change that at all,” Biden said at a campaign stop in Chester, Penn.

But he added, “There is some literature among constitutional scholars about the possibility of going from one court to another court, not just always staying the whole time in the Supreme Court.”

The 77-year-old candidate assured reporters he had made “no judgement” and said of his proposed commission: “They’re just a group of serious constitutional scholars who have a number of ideas how we should proceed from this point on.”

He was not pressed for further clarification on that shifting judges comment.

“That’s what we’re going to be doing. We’re going to give them 180 days, God willing if I’m elected, from the time I’m sworn in, to be able to make such a recommendation.”

The Democratic nominee has been under pressure to clarify his stance on expanding the number of Supreme Court justices, a process known as “court packing,” but has repeatedly punted on the issue during interviews.

When Biden and his cohorts start implementing other Obama acts, will you stand up

If Biden spies on the phones of the New York Post, Fox News, or other news outlets, will you stand up?

Obama-esqueIf Biden uses a drone to kill an American (even if that American is on foreign soil), will you stand up?

If Biden releases a store of automatic weapons to a gun runner that sells them to the Mexican cartels or to the Iranian mullahs, will you stand up?

If Biden got paid millions through a proxy (his son) when military secrets were provided to the Chinese, what would you do? Hopefully, not vote for him.

Least we forget the scandals of the Obama/Biden administration

In his initial campaign, Senator Obama promised America its most transparent administration. In place of that, he gave us:

The Bible Says

About the Nature of Human Leaders

It is within the nature of all of us to oppress others by imposing our own desires on them.

“This shall be his land for a possession in Israel; so My princes shall no longer oppress My people, but they shall give the rest of the land to the house of Israel according to their tribes.” ‘Thus says the Lord GOD, “Enough, you princes of Israel; put away violence and destruction, and practice justice and righteousness Stop your expropriations from My people,” declares the Lord GOD. (Ezekiel 45:8-9)

If nothing restrains us, we have the propensity to impose our own will, even if it requires violence.

Behold, the rulers of Israel, each according to his power, have been in you for the purpose of shedding blood. (Ezekiel 22:6)

About the Nature of Followers

Even among followers, the potential for following for the wrong reason exists.

Israel has rejected the good; The enemy will pursue him. They have set up kings, but not by Me; They have appointed princes, but I did not know it. With their silver and gold they have made idols for themselves, That they might be cut off. He has rejected your calf, O Samaria, saying, “My anger burns against them!” How long will they be incapable of innocence? (Hosea 8:3-5)

About Who We Must Follow

Do not put your trust in princes, in mortal men, who cannot save. When their spirit departs, they return to the ground; on that very day their plans come to nothing. Blessed is he whose help is the God of Jacob, whose hope is in the LORD his God, the Maker of heaven and earth, the sea, and everything in them– the LORD, who remains faithful forever. (Psalm 146:3-6)

About the Discernment We Should Practice

God gave you a brain, so use it.

By their fruit you will recognize them. Do people pick grapes from thornbushes, or figs from thistles? Likewise, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, and a bad tree cannot bear good fruit. Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. Thus, by their fruit you will recognize them. (Matthew 7:16-20)

The person with the Spirit makes judgments about all things, but such a person is not subject to merely human judgments (1 Corinthians 2:15)

but test them all; hold on to what is good, reject every kind of evil. (1 Thessalonians 5:21-22)

He said to the crowd: “When you see a cloud rising in the west, immediately you say, ‘It’s going to rain,’ and it does. And when the south wind blows, you say, ‘It’s going to be hot,’ and it is. Hypocrites! You know how to interpret the appearance of the earth and the sky. How is it that you don’t know how to interpret this present time? “Why don’t you judge for yourselves what is right? (Luke 12:54-57)

Stop judging by mere appearances, and make a right judgment. (John 7:24)

About the Guidance He Would Provide

Does not wisdom call out? Does not understanding raise her voice? On the heights along the way, where the paths meet, she takes her stand; beside the gates leading into the city, at the entrances, she cries aloud: “To you, O men, I call out; I raise my voice to all mankind. You who are simple, gain prudence; you who are foolish, gain understanding. Listen, for I have worthy things to say; I open my lips to speak what is right. My mouth speaks what is true, for my lips detest wickedness. All the words of my mouth are just; none of them is crooked or perverse. To the discerning all of them are right; they are faultless to those who have knowledge. Choose my instruction instead of silver, knowledge rather than choice gold, for wisdom is more precious than rubies, and nothing you desire can compare with her. “I, wisdom, dwell together with prudence; I possess knowledge and discretion. To fear the LORD is to hate evil; I hate pride and arrogance, evil behavior and perverse speech. Counsel and sound judgment are mine; I have understanding and power. By me kings reign and rulers make laws that are just; by me princes govern, and all nobles who rule on earth. I love those who love me, and those who seek me find me. (Proverbs 8:1-17)
